We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights and 3 days They had to switch us from a king to a queen cause our first room was infested with ants the girl was nice enough to switch us. Which was on the first floor again where the ants were. The queen beds sucked and the next day we talk to a nice guy as well he said we would get a refund for the second night because we was put in a queen. They are refusing to give refunds now after they tell you wait a week. The boss doesn’t care at all He short talks you. I would recommend any other hotel besides this one.

Staff was friendly. Hotel rooms could use a deep cleaning. Carpet had lots of stains, shower was dirty with mold on shower curtain. Room smelled like really strong cologne. Breakfast is about what’s expected from a hotel of this level. There was a staff member there to take care of any needs. It’s not a terrible hotel but could be much better with some fresh paint, deep cleaning and updating.

We booked this hotel for a family get away and all we wanted to do is get away from the hotel. We checked in and the first room had no TP and hair all in the tub and on the floor. The second room was no better, as a hotel manager I STRONGLY recommend that you do NOT book this hotel. Oh by the way, they have control over your AC at the front desk. How do we know? They shut ours off in middle of an 80 degree night.

If you like a musty smell, no elevator to the second floor, and a rude manager who won’t apologize this place is for you. BUT WAIT it gets better! They even give you an extra guest no charge. I call him Pepe. He’s a MOUSE. Upon chasing him around my room for thirty minutes I got a good video and pictures. Upon showing this evidence to the front desk I got a refund… but no apology or even sense of care. Avoiddd!

Service was great. Food was great. The pool was complimentary which was amazing so I didn't have to spend money at Kalahari for a pool pass!

I called to reserve a couple rooms and I spoke with Mr. Haji (we'll say for namesake). Mr. Haji took my reservation, took my information and my credit card number. He took my email and says he will send a confirmation number. At the end of our conversation he asks me to stay on the line for an amazing vacation offer. No thanks, I say. 5 minutes later, no email. I get on my motorcycle and ride 40 minutes up the road to Huron, and check, no email. So I got a different room at a different hotel, because I'm tired. I call Quality Inn to cancel my reservation. Mrs. Haji answers. She can't find my reservation. Ok… There's no one with my name with a reservation. So, I say I'll just watch my credit card, I guess? Before we hang up, she asks me to stay on the line for an amazing vacation offer. I said, That's what HE said, I know I have a reservation here! She assures me, everyone with a reservation for that night has already checked in for the night. So the next morning I check my credit card, and sure enough I was charged for two rooms. My advice, always go American owned. I sure as hell am.

Very clean, very attentive. The bad thing is the walls very thin and you would hear everything from the joint room.

Horrible smell soon as you enter the hotel. My room smelled so bad I used my body spray to try and freshen it up. They had told other people that I heard talking in the breakfast room that breakfast was over before 9:30 a. M. When it wasn't over till 10 a. M. And that they were rude to them. The worst is that I woke up Sunday morning to several bites on my hands and arms. After going to urgent care the next day it was confirmed that they were bed bug bites and I was given an antibiotic. I then called the hotel to report the incident so they could exterminate or do something about the problem. The lady at the desk said she'd let the owners know. I would beware and find somewhere else to go!

Came to Quality Inn from Motel 6 where it was NASTY we are so much happier. Walked in and the room looked and even smelled clean. Plus the bed is very comfy.

People at front counter very rude. Heater wouldn’t work so the owner came down and “fixed it”, he was also pretty rude. Very loud people next door and they wouldn’t switch rooms, nor did they do anything about it. I won’t return; that’s for certain.

Room prices were very good. Service was fast, because I didn't see another guest the whole time there. Room was clean. Bathrooms are clean but a little dated. Odd layout with vanity right beside the room outer door. Caution… They automatically tack on a room safe fee without notice.

The room was Disgusting! Long Black wads of Hair in the Bed, on the floor, on the sink, on the toilet, in the tub and a inch of lint, hair, and miscellaneous filth on the back side of the bed! NOT KIDDING! The pillows (all of them) smelled like they haven't been changed/wash ed all year! They were gross! Tracie (gal at the counter) tried her best to accommodate but I could tell she was afraid of what the owner would say to her. He needs to give her a raise!

The staff was rude and overbooked. When I arrived they "claimed" they called my phone 2x. I never received any phone calls. I am not a complainer, but this was beyond upsetting. I ended up driving 4 hours home. If you decide to book a room. Triple check before arriving. Nothing like having a staff blame you instead of apologizing for their screw up.

Good experience! My boyfriend and I stayed here the other night and we had no complaints. The bed was comfy and the room was clean and functional. Staff was friendly. Dollar General is right across the street which was convenient for us and Cedar Point was a 10 minute drive down the road! The hotel could be updated a little bit and the breakfast was standard and average but other than that, we enjoyed our stay and would come back!

The switch on the floor lamp in our room was broken and there was no lamp at the desk to work by. My husband asked at the front desk if there was a lamp in one of the (many) vacant rooms or a spare and the clerk said at first there were no spares and the vacant rooms were on the second floor but she would check. A half hour later he was told all the spares had broken switches too. It's kind of hard to work in the dark. So much for your commitment to satisfaction.

If I could post no stars I would. Completely inadequate service. We drove 11 hours and found this "hole-tel" around 4:15 am Friday morning. We asked about a room until Saturday and we were given our price. After waiting nearly an hour for the incompetent girl to program our room key, we went into our room thinking we got a a good deal. We left for lunch around 12:00 pm Friday and when we returned, we were told we owed an additional nights stay. When we assured him that the girl who checked us in told us we had it until Saturday, he acted like we were lying. He refused to give us the rate we were given less than 9 hours earlier. We finally just asked if we could just get our things and leave to which he agreed. After leaving I realized that we payed a ridiculous price for only 7 hours. Especially when the room smelt of smoke and had no a/c. Absolutely ridiculous.

Not very well kept up. Not happy with the price for what we got.

Great Hotel, excellent staff very friendly and went out of their way to make our stay wonderful. If you are in the Huron / sandusky area this is a great place to stay.

We stayed the night before Cedar Point. It's an older hotel, but they've redone some of the rooms. The room we had was pretty clean and bed was comfy. Pool was on the cool side and you could see it was probably quite fancy when the hotel was first built. Overall, a place to sleep.

Great location… easy to access off the highway. Clean rooms and lobby. Super close drive to cedar point. Good breakfast!

Everything was great except the woman at the front desk. Took her 5 minutes to come up to the desk when we came to check in, and then she had an attitude throughout the whole check in process. Didn't give us any information about pool hours, breakfast, or Wi-Fi. A total turn-off from the hotel as a whole, even though everything else was great.

Not to fast from the freeway. Close to Cedar Point and Kalahari. Food is only ten minutes away. Room was nice and clean although a slightly odd smell, not bad.

Didn't honor the quote they gave us over the phone, also multiple lights were out in the room. Otherwise the breakfast was decent ans the stay was quiet.

Rooms smelled musty, furniture was old, there were loud kids next to our original room, so we switched, air conditioner hardly worked, breakfast did not have much variety, walking down the hallway there was a huge spider on someone's door, etc… not the best hotel, but cheap. There were beds, we used 'em.

It was clean and well put together. Worth the price.

Wonderful choice for the price. Staff was very friendly at all hours. Room was clean and comfortable, no major issues. Good location for cedar point, easy access via cedar point dr down the causeway although navigation won't direct you that way. Only complaints are lack of elevator and spotty Wi-Fi.

The rooms were great. We wished that the pool would have been open an hour or two later. The breakfast was not bad, but it was not the best either. The rooms were clean, and the noise level was very low.

I was happy with the service we received . Our initial room smelled like smoke, and they changed our room painlessly.

The room is small but clean. A couple lights didn't work, but I didn't bother asking to have them fixed. Nice pool.

Perfect for visiting Cedar Point.

Bedbugs! We left at 1:00am because we discovered bedbugs all over our bed! The attendant "gave" us our money back and took my phone number so the manager could "make it right". We never heard from the manager but are hopefull that cleaning all of our stuff will keep our home from being infested. Don't sleep here.

The hotel is nice. The only complaint is that when we asked for a mini fridge in the room we got one and it smelled suspiciously of cat pee.

We found the staff to be very nice. The hotel is at best so-so.

Bottom Line — THe hotel was fine, but wouldn't stay here again. There are plenty of hotels in the area, and some that offer the same level of service for less money. If you are looking for full budget, this is higher priced than most super budget, if you are looking for a mid-range. Well for the same amount or a small percentage higher you could stay someplace nicer. The bad: Cleaning was spoty, as the toilette needed to be flushed when we walked in. The coffee pot hadn't been rinsed out, and still had coffee from the previous occupant. The train tracks are directly accross the street No elevator, which isn't a big deal unless you travel with alot of small children and you have to lug all their luggage up the stairs. In room safe requires an additional charge The breakfast room is small, not enough tables. People were eating standing up. Proximation of resturants and stores could be better The Good: The room was clean, and smelled clean (despite the toilette) The bed was comftorable and had clean sheets The train doesn't pass through so I only heard the whistle a couple of times during the night. The Breakfast its self was good, typical of a hotel breakfast, but did have a waffle maker for hot fresh waffles. Only a 15 minutes to Cedar Point. Free WiFI The hotel is older, and and is begining to show its age. The rooms were mostly clean, but the cleaning is not as thorough as some other area hotels.
