We stayed here the first weekend in August & were honestly worries about how it was going to be. There are a number of Knights Inn locations near where we live that are seedy. We were pleasantly surprised. We ended up checking in kind of late & had no issues. They told us that as long as we checked in before 1am, we would be fine. When we checked in, we were told that they do complimentary check out at noon, which is awesome & helped us to not feel so rushed in the morning. We didn’t have any issues with room. No bed bugs. The mattress was a little hard, but not bad. The room was clean. There were a handful of peeling paint spots in the bathroom, but that is to be expected. The room smelled a little musty when we first got in, but after putting on the AC it quickly went away. Considering we paid half of what we would have paid at most of the other hotels in the area, i’d say this was a great bargain.

Spur of the moment stay after a flat tire at Cedar Point. Read the reviews before we picked somewhere to stay and this hotel seemed like all we needed, just somewhere to lay our head for the night. But wow, as soon as we walked in the smell in our room was horrible. Not sure what it was but seemed to be coming from the air unit, so we shut that off and bought some air freshener to get us thru the night. Didn't help much and luckily it wasn't a super hot night. Also agree with other reviews that the walls are pretty thin, so you can hear everything coming from your neighbors room. Kids did enjoy the free cold (donut/muffin/cereal) breakfast which starts promptly at 7:30. I'd probably pick somewhere else, but maybe we just had a bad room… hopefully they all don't smell.

Really nice location of a hotel if you are going to Cedar Point. Super easy drive, only like 3 minutes away. The staff was friendly, rooms are nice, good amenities including a fridge and microwave. Happy with this hotel! Stay here if it is not sold out when visiting Cedar Point.

The hotel is in desperate need of a remodel. The rooms were clean and the staff is friendly. It is ok for an overnight sleep. Breakfast is included and there is a pool. I cannot review the breakfast service or the pool because I didn't use them. Bed was very comfy.

Friendly staff and very help full. Clean room great water pressure. Close to everything. The bad AC came on only once every 1 too 3 hours sweat n freeze. I counted 9 trains pass by from 430am to 530 am it is loud and that's a all night thing. Walls kinda thin.

For being a basic motel that I booked during a very busy season on fairly short notice, everything here was perfectly acceptable for what we expected and received. No one will expect a 4-star hotel experience but the rooms were pleasantly cool and the staff was very friendly. Nothing to complain about here.

While it is a bit dated, it was very clean and the staff was great. Highly recommend if you're just looking for a place to rest your head that's clean and affordable.

Despite the bad reviews, we enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Very friendly staff, clean rooms and close to Cedar Point and other amenities. I was quite impressed with this location after a few bad experiences at other Knights Inn hotels in other states. This will be one of our first choices in hotels in Sandusky next time we're in the area.

If you are looking for a cheap place close to cedar point this place works. It's not fancy, but pretty good for the price and close to the park. Good if you plan on spending all day at the park and only really sleeping here.

Great experience for the price. We've stayed at other hotels near Cedar Point and this one is the cleanest and nicest one by far, especially considering the price!

The only downside was the railroad tracks, not really the hotels fault but it was a clean environment and the blonde hair cleaning lady serviced our room to make sure we was happy. She was a nice lady and thoughtful.

Non-smoking rooms smell like smoking rooms. Terrible customer service. Don't come here!

I was here in the off-season. I would say, Do not stay here unless you're desperate. Unfriendly staff, noisy atmosphere, the train that runs directly in front of the motel every couple of hours, day and night, was very loud. The "Free breakfast" consisted of snack machine type honey buns, and or choice of juice, milk, or coffee.

Good place to stay at in Sandusky, Ohio. It's clean, the staff is very friendly, very affordable value and excepts pets.

Room was what you'd expect for the price. Pillows were flat, blanket was scrathy, and the TV was severely dated. Bathroom had a very noisy light. Room was very clean and smelled nice. Bathroom had a jacuzzi. Front desk associates were completely devoid of personality. 10 minutes away from Cedar Point. Continental Breakfast had name brand, quick-grab items like pop tarts and yogurt, also had donuts and fruit.

Amazing. Very clean, NO bugs whatsoever (and I mean none), polite staff, and pet friendly! Pillows were super soft. Breakfast is limited but not a big deal especially for the price. I would absolutely recommend!

Very large and clean rooms. Very quiet. Courteous staff. Close to Cedar Point… less than 10 min driving time. The only ding is that its right next to the railroad tracks but other than that, I'd highly recommend this establishment.

King size bed/room. Plenty of room and places to sit, has couch and chair. Refrigerator, microwave, TV, coffee pot. Price was great. Heat and AC worked well. Very close to Cedar point.

The hotel and location was quite nice, good breakfast, extremely friendly staff and the room was clean. I only gave it 4 stars because the TV was not working when we got there but they fixed it immediately. The breakfast was amazing!

Always great! I stay at Knights Inn every time I visit Cedar Point. The room is always very clean and I love the jacuzzi jets in the tub. Great for soaking after a long day at the park. The staff is very helpful and nice. Great hotel for a good price!

I thought the motel was nice. I read 3 pages of reviews, some good and some bad. One of the negatives was about the train and quite honestly it didn't bother me… I heard it but I was so exhausted that I didn't care. Although we didn't get to use them, the pool and hot tub were nice. The screened in area for the continental breakfast was nice. I loved the uniqueness of the layout of this motel. For the price I would definitely recommend this for your stay.

Pros: Extremely friendly staff, Jacuzzi in some rooms, clean, comfortable, 3 miles from Cedar Point, decent pool, breakfast. Cons: Loud guests from other rooms, can hear person above you walking, people at pool too noisy especially on hot summer nights (play music too loudly, scream), pool quite small (better get there before others), loud ac. Overall, this is a decent place to stay. My husband and I call it our home away from home. We love it here during the spring and autumn months. It's so cozy and comfortable. We once drove 2 hours to stay here for one night. The summer months are so-so. People are annoying during this time. That's my only real complaint. Other guests. I wish they would ask the guests to respect the other guests by not being so loud, especially blasting music by the pool.

Not bad for a quick place to sleep after Cedar Point. There were nice jetted tubs, pretty screened-in airy (free) breakfast area, 6 ft pool, rooms were pretty small. When sleeper sofa was extended, I could barely sit at the table. There was a nice king size bed. We got a late check out. The room was $67 on Priceline. Definitely got more than we paid for. Rooms were very clean, and the AC was blasting when we got there and lasted all night. Plus, I got to lay in bed and caught nearly 20 Pokemon in the room without stepping out the door. Haha!

About what you'd expect for the price. We stayed at Knight's Inn as a part of our trip to Cedar Point. While it's definitely not a fancy establishment and is a bit outdated, it was clean, comfortable, and the staff was friendly. My only complaints would be that the noise level from guests, AC, and external features was a bit much. That and the continental breakfast was more of a snack bar than a true breakfast. While I did not personally go swimming, the pool is one of the smallest I've seen. I'd feel awkward going in if there was another family there! All that being said, I preferred this stay to my previous stay at breakers express. More bang for your buck at Knight's Inn.

Nothing major is wrong with this hotel, but it defines mediocrity. Cracked tiles, loud ac, weird toilet seats, broken secondary door lock, gap by the side of the door, thin walls. That being said, the room was clean and the beds were comfortable. I would stay here again if it was a good price.

We stayed at this Knights Inn while we visited Cedar Point! The rates were more than fair. The staff was friendly and down to earth! The bathroom is small, but who cares. I'm not there for the bathroom. The room was big and cozy. The pool seemed really clean, although we didn't have time to swim. The gazebo is cute! That's where the extended stayers do their laundry. The screened in pavilion is where they do their complimentary breakfast! I love how that is set up! I don't know if all Knights Inn's are this way, but I will definitely search for a Knights Inn when I travel next. It's almost like your own small little community.

My stay at the Knights Inn was really nice. Their pool was pretty awesome, the room was nice, and it was really close to a lot of attractions. The only thing I felt was lacking was in their breakfast. There weren't a whole lot of options outside of pop-tarts, waffles, some packaged pastries, and coffee/orange juice. Personally, I love me some good eggs and bacon when on vacation, but all in all it was pretty good!

Wasn't a bad hotel but, there was mayflies were ridiculous! They were everywhere not in the hotel room but everywhere else. I swam in the pool at had to then visit the doctor and got diagnosed with pink eye. The chlorine level has to be very high cause you can smell. The breakfast is nice & the hotel rooms aren't bad. But, the wife is not very good. We stayed 3 nights for cedar point Cleveland zoo and shopping wasnt a bad place. Staff was nice & the maid was good.

Purpose of the trip was Cedar Point. Inn was easy to find, clean, spacious, and had all the amenities one would expect. Hassle free stay. 5 min away from the park. Would recommend.

I've stayed at knights inn on several occasions while visiting cedar point. It's very cheap, clean, and typically quiet. Check in was very quick and easy. The breakfast is small, but nice. It's mostly prepackaged food, which nice when I'm in a hurry. The only complaint I have about this stay was some noise. My room was on the bottom floor, which was frustrating the second night due to people in the room above me stomping around. I've never had this issue there before, but I'll try to request a 2nd floor room next time.

It might be a little dated, but who cares. The room was clean, smelled clean, the bed was super comfy, as well as the couch, the hot water was instant and great water pressure and loved the jetted tub. Best bang for the buck. So after a day at the park, it was wonderful to get clean, relaxed and a good night sleep.

Best bang for your buck in this area. Easily the cleanest motel I've ever stayed in. The housekeepers were so nice! Updated flat screen HD TV and a pretty nice breakfast!

For the price, it's a really nice hotel. It's clean and the staff is very helpful to make accommodations. Beds were comfortable, rooms were quiet. It's no 5 star hotel, obviously, but for what it is it's one of the best in this range, especially in Sandusky.

The past 3/4 years me and my girlfriend and friends have stayed at this Knights Inn after a long day at Cedar Point. The front desk staff are always so polite, the rooms are always clean and in great condition. Free continental breakfast that's better than most other hotels I've been to. Very affordable, I'd recommend any body I talk to, to stay at this hotel. Very happy and we'll be back again and again for future trips to Cedar Point!

What you get for the price is unbeatable. We had to bring our dog, and all the other hotels were either ridiculously priced or didn't accept pets. I was honestly expecting a lot less. No complaints.

Wi-Fi is slow. Rooms are small. Web site needs updated. Cheap stay for low budget.

This hotel was way above my expectations. It's an older hotel, but the room was clean, and the bed was new and very comfortable. Plus there was a mini-fridge in the room, which was very nice, and free continental breakfast provided. Also in the room was a microwave, hairdryer, ironing board, couch, and TV with free cable and Wi-Fi. There's also a pool and hot tub. The staff was super friendly and helpful. For the super low price I paid I don't think this hotel can be beat. This will be my go-to place to stay any time I visit Cedar Point. Which is extremely close by!

We stayed two nights for our trip to cedar point. It was great! Rooms were clean, and comfortable. The front desk was accommodating, and very hospitable. Breakfast was ok. The vending machine wasn't working but the front desk took care of it. Overall, we would stay again for going to cedar point in a heartbeat! :).

If I ever stay in Sandusky again this is the place I will pick. The hot tub in room was awesome and got super hot. The pool isn't very big great for children I suppose. The room was huge, stayed cold. The breakfast was amazing, the best continental breakfast you could ask for, lots of things to take for snacks later in the day (muffins, fruit, etc. ) I was curious as to where locals eat and asked and the front desk was very helpful in pointing me in the right direction, even the best place to order pizza from.

The rooms are clean and cheap. Maybe a bit older but worth the value for being so close to Cedar Point.

Not bad at all. Sure it's not the Ritz or anything, but for a single night or two? Yep it'll defiantly do. Rooms are clean, breakfast not bad and the v front desk was friendly and helpful. What more do ya need.

Room had a nice tub but the water never got warm enough to use. Stayed for 2 nights and never got our room cleaned or trash taken out despite being gone for 10+ hours each day. Surely there are better options available.

For the price I paid for, I received an above-average stay. If you're going to Cedar Point, but not staying at the resorts, I highly suggest staying here. I was weary before because of the other reviews, but I went for it. The free breakfast was quite extensive. There is a laundry room. If I had known this, I would of brought laundry soap! (But don't worry, you can purchase some. ) Super helpful for wet clothes and swimsuits. The pool is a little small, but it does the job. I didn't get a chance to try to hot tub or jacuzzi, but that was unexpected surprise. My room location had wacky Wi-Fi coverage. It could of been my phone though. There are trains at night, which personally that didn't bother me. I could see how that could though if you're not use to it. I didn't consider it loud.

Very above average for the price. Clean room, very well-equipped — — coffee pot, refrigerator, microwave, iron, ironing board, hair dryer, safe, big tv. Amenities — — breakfast, HBO, high-speed wireless internet that actually works well. Pool, spa, play space for the kids, small pets allowed, plenty of parking. Easy to find, 1 mile from Cedar Point, 4 miles to the beach, loads of dining and entertainment nearby. If you need everything to be brand-new, perfect, and ultra-modern, go somewhere else. I will definitely be staying here again.
