Absolutely beautiful, quick highway access to anywhere in Minnesota. Great price, VERY CLEAN, loves the pool, hot tub and Fitness room.

Historic hotel with character that has been updated and maintained as well. Pet friendly, reasonable rates, easy parking, central downtown location, helpful staff, really nice rooms, great views from 3rd floor rooms — can't be beat in downtown for me. My 2nd stay and definitely won't be our last! Love it!

Can’t say enough good things about my previous stay at the normandy. The front desk was helpful and even helped my family to change our Uber pin and they have been nothing but helpful in the current situation of shut downs. Highly recommend!

Everyone at this hotel is just absolutely fabulous. I stay there on a regular basis and have never been disappointed. The rooms are clean, quiet, spacious, and prices are reasonable. The bar/restaurant is MUST to go to. The location to everything is fantastic. You can't go wrong by staying here and once you do, you WILL want to always come back.

The rooms are large and very spacious and comfortable. We love the cookies and milk at 10 o'clock. And the cost for parking is the lowest $ in Minneapolis!

Very dirty carpet smell throughout hotel and rooms. Beds old hard and lumpy. Rooms very small. Rooms very noisy you hear everything.

After Booking cancelled my reservation (and didn’t let me know) the front desk ladies were amazing and were still able to get us a room! The place is very nice, clean, and felt very safe! Also, the 10 pm cookies are DELICIOUS! Would definitely recommend!

Rudeness people at check in. Very unprofessional. If it wasn’t for them I would recommend. Checked in on the 31st around 3.2 older ladies working that should find a different job.

We love this place — our favorite hotel to stay when we come down for Vikings or Twins games, concerts, or events. The pool is great, and the cold milk and fresh baked cookies every night are the best.

Can not beat location, but free parking when you pay $200 per night should be included. Couple hotels being built closer to US Bank Stadium, so maybe some prices will come down. But don't hold your breath. Oh an benefit for being a platinum member either. Does have a very nice bar on property. Some rooms could use an upgrade.

Rooms were nicely updated, everything was clean and fresh. I liked that the sink and counter were separate from the toilet, staying with multiple people. TV had a great variety of channels. Each floor had osmosis water stations, providing good tasting water. Price was good, this doesn't include free breakfast but this wasn't a big deal (they did actually have cookies and milk at 10pm each night). Parking lot was very convenient and great price.

It was a great stay at the Best Western downtown Minneapolis. The staff was helpful and welcoming. The food was delicious. The room was extremely clean, tastefully decorated and slept in the most comfortable bed we have ever had at a hotel! It was within walking distance to our concert we attended and many restaurants were also in close walking proximity which was convenient so we didn't have to move our car. The nicest touch… which my spouse really appreciated was at 10 pm, freshly baked cookies and milk were served nightly in the lobby and fresh coffee in the morning. Thank you for a great hotel experience! We will definitely recommend Best Western and be visiting you once again. :)

Absolutely beautiful hotel. Very historic looking, quiet and I appreciated the friendly staff. Gorgeous room, I loved the furniture all over the hotel tons of seating room in the lobby and in your private large room. The bed was extremely soft and comfortable I wish I was there for more than one day. Loved the hot water machine in the hall way I was able to fill my cup on the way to my room and make some tea as soon as I reached my room.

Old feel was nice except the old dirty couch and chair in the room. Room was not very clean found garbage under couch edge. Beds are nice but very soft if don't like that. Some very nice staff. A few not so nice. Pool was nice and hot tub. Jets stopped working but had back up in 10 min. Had 2 different check in caused they said it would be easier to do than fix and change dates. But than I was charged 2 deposits on same room. That seems ridiculous. High prices on room service but amazing cookies at night!

This place is wonderful. The wait staff and bartenders are so good to me every time I stay, and in my experience service is almost a dying skill in this world, I rate it very highly, and it is an absolute pleasure to dine here. The housekeeping staff is wonderful. The rooms are immaculate and cozy. The location is wonderful, I can catch a cab and go play anywhere in the city for just a few dollars, leaving my own car safely parked during my stay. They are pet friendly, and my bloodhound loves it here. She is greeted by name, and is always welcomed and offered treats upon arrival. I am always a weary traveler, so exhausted and hungry when I arrive, and I always feel so accommodated and so refreshed from my stay here! 5 stars is not a high enough rating, this place deserves 10!

I have to give it five stars just for how thoroughly unique of a property this place is. This Bavarian-themed place has a sprawling, silent vibe that sort of calls to mind the Overlook Hotel (hotel from The Shining) — and yet not in a creepy way at all. If you want to stay somewhere memorable, this place will check that box.

Customer Service was not professional. Confirmed the night before and day of, I would be getting two jointed rooms. On the day of I get two separate rooms. They booked the room I was suppose to have. Took several actions of me talking to multiple employees to get this issue resolved and sent to the higher ups. Employees did not communicate this to higher ups like they mentioned. I would not be staying at this location again. The restaurant part and breakfast was great I did not have any issues. Jason the bartender was hands down the best!

Loved this hotel! It was very clean. Beds were very comfortable. Loved the all of the staff! They went above and beyond to make our stay the best it could be. Customer services was excellent. It had lots of charm and I felt very welcome. This is one of the best experiences I have ever had at a hotel. I will definitely come and stay again, and recommend anybody staying here. Awesome job to all of the staff!

We really liked this hotel. The pool was lovely. We didn't try the restaurant. The only things I'd change about the rooms is we couldn't close any curtains so there wasn't a way to block street lights or daylight. Comfy beds, clean and everything in good shape. For the price, I was really happy and it was much better than expected.

Two night stay for a conference at a walkable location from the hotel. Easy walk from the light rail and close to downtown and all three sports venues. Deisgn says Normandy and overall more services then one would expect from a Best Western. Some parts outside of the rooms looked dated. Rooms were inexpensive but nicely renovated. Beds were new and comfortable. And all basic creature comforts met. Did not partake in room service or the restaurant. Staff was pleasant and willing to hold bags on day of check out. Only downside is they ran out of cookies before I could try one!

It's a great hotel. Along with normal excellent Best Western Plus facilities, this one has a great restaurant, which we utilized. We didn't have to leave the hotel to hunt up a good restaurant for breakfasts or dinners. They served some nice wines too.

Excellent location. Courteous, knowledgeable helpful staff. Very good room. Wi-Fi intenet was totally satisfactory. Highly recommended. I would stay there again.

Such a charming hotel! The rooms are very nice and clean. The location is really convenient and close to everything, especially the US Bank Stadium. It’s nice that there is a water dispenser on every floor and they provide a pitcher, which is something I haven’t seen in any of the hotels I have stayed at. The service at the bar and restaurant is excellent; breakfast food is great; the signature cocktail is a must try. We had a great experience overall, and will definitely choose to stay there if we are to visit Minneapolis again.

Beautiful location, building, and atmosphere. Hard to get into the parking area at first because of all the 'one way' streets in the area. Purified water on each floor you can have for free. Good sauna.

Great facility with great staff. It's location is pretty good as well especially if you are attending events at the convention center which is about 7 or so blocks away. If you are on a site booking a room and want to be as close to the Hyatt regency as possible (like if you are attending anime detour) beware, some sites state that the Normandy is right across the street from the Hyatt but that is a different hotel than the one that anime detour is held in. Still a wonderful place with a great dining area, cookies every night at 10 and a lot to park your vehicle that has a respectable amount of parking spots for it's location. The room itself is great, king sized bed with a mattress as soft as literal clouds!

You have to pay for parking too!

Ridiculously nice hotel for the money. If you're used to best western standards get ready to have those expectations blown away. They have good internet and cable options, and free milk and cookies right before bedtime! The bar is overly expensive but has great decor and is fancy as could be.

I REALLY like this Hotel. The bar / restaurant is incredible. Very clean and extremely high quality food — the Chef is First Rate. Nastashia was my bartender and she could not have been nicer! This hotel is very unique — it looks like it belongs in the Bavarian Mountains… from what I understand it has an incredible history as well. Very clean, and the staff is always courteous and helpful. ***** highly recommended!

Very cute hotel with clean and comfortable rooms. A bonus is they have hot and cold water dispensers by the ice machine. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The shuttle is convenient, but has limited destinations. The free evening cookies were delicious!

Excellent staff! We came in early for a sporting event ans called ahead and they were able to get us into our rooms ahead of the normal check in time. They also had a shuttle to take us to Target Center which was very welcome as it was a very cold brisk weekend. Wild highly recommend this hotel!

Front desk lady-Lynette was awesome. She have a a free parking pass because we had to wait about 10min to check in (& we were in a hurry to make it to a dinner party) & was very friendly. They had complimentary cookies & milk. We stayed in a king suite which was nice, clean, spacious and the bed was comfortable. Hot tub & pool area was also nice.

My husband and I are staying here for a getaway and it's been wonderful. They serve cookies at 10 p. M. The room is clean and updated. The staff had been kind and welcoming. For the whole stay parking is $9. We really recommend this hotel.

I travel about once a year. The hotel staff there was the most friendly I've seen in years. Clean & comfortable. They went out of their way to accommodate the group I was with. I had an issue with the TV in my room & they had maintenance there & the issue resolved with an hour.

Beautiful hotel with deep rich history. Neat area right in downtown Minneapolis. Room was perfect. I had no complaints about anything. We arrived late and left early. It was a comfortable bed. All on all we had a very nice stay.

The Best Western Normandy Inn is our go to hotel in the downtown Minneapolis area. It's an older hotel, but full of charm. It's a great location to almost everything in the downtown area, from the Target Center to the US Bank Stadium. The staff always go above and beyond to make sure you enjoy your stay. Our kids love the pool and we love that there are plenty of chairs for us adults to hang out.

GREATEST! Don't miss this gem in downtown MNPLS. It's like a northern European hotel but with more light. Food at kitchen was outstanding! Cocktails were outstanding — — try the gin gimlet with the cherry bark and vanilla bitters! It may have been the best cocktail I have ever had and I'm old. The veal/beef/pork meatloaf dinner and the wild mushroom risotto were 7 star out of 5. Thanks for the say, Normandy Inn and Kitchen!

The staff are so thoughtful & have gone above our expectations! Easy to find the place, & park near the entrance to check in. The hotel owns their parking garage which is a bonus while staying downtown. The hotel is decorated beautifully & our room was spotless & I mean spotless! I could not find even dust. And I'm a tough critic of cleanliness considering I worked in housekeeping myself!

We LOVE this hotel! We stay here every time we come to Minneapolis for an event. Milk and cookies every night at 10PM is a great added bonus, plus they offer free shuttle service to the Target Center for events. Well within walking distance of several restaurants and other things to do in downtown. Beautiful place! Well worth the money spent!

I was a bit sceptical about staying at a Best Western, but I was pleasantly surprised by the staff and space. I was checked in promptly, and provided an excellent dinner recommendation. Also, I love that they do cookies & milk at 10PM every night. The room was clean, the pool looked neat but I didn't bring a swimming suit. Also, their coffee is really good for a hotel. Overall excellent experience, I would stay there again!

Great hotel to stay at. Staff were very friendly and the hotel was very modern, up-to-date. The room was very spacious and clean. The location is great too. A little high in price, but after two weeks of cross country travel this was one of the best hotels we stayed at and the price was worth it. I would definitely stay here again.

We had a fantastic stay at the Normandy Inn and Suites! Our suite was just fantastic and beyond clean… My wife, who is a "clean freak" said she could eat off the floors in the place! The restaurant, besides being just beautiful, was off the charts great! The creative food that comes out of that kitchen is unbelievable, and we eat in fine dining restaurants all over the world. The quality and creativity of that kitchen would rival most any of them at a third the price! THANK YOU NORMANDY INN AND SUITES! See you soon!

I consider the Normandy Inn in downtown Minneapolis my home away from home. The reception is consistently pleasant and accommodating, and I like the ambience and atmosphere of the lobby and the restaurant, especially the back room, where I entertained friends at lunchtime to celebrate a birthday. The food is consistently good and the Chef's specials are extraordinary, whether it's duck or pork or salmon. The rooms are well kept, and the mattress compares favorably with the Marriott Inn. It's like sleeping on a cloud. For fine dining and a quiet, restful night, choose the Normandy Inn!

This is a lovely older hotel. The style of the public areas is similar to what you would find in a higher end hotel from 100 years ago. The rooms are spacious and modern. All areas are impeccably clean and neat. The staff is friendly and helpful. There is a good sized indoor pool and hot tub as well as a workout room. The prices are lower than many of the newer hotels in the downtown area. I'm here on business and have already booked my next trip for this lovely hotel.

Best Western Plus The Normandy Inn and Suites in Minneapolis is fantastic! The pool and hot tub are terrific, the location is convenient to many things including the train to the airport, Mall of America, and lots of other fun places to see. There's a shuttle from the hotel to the symphony and to Guthrie Theater. Food and service are top-notch! The price is truly fair given the quality of this hotel. Plus its charm and ambience sets it apart from the bland "whatever" style of other hotels.

Very friendly staff. Hotel in old brick and very well maintained. Very well located in the heart of the skyline and close to public transport.

After finding a place to park (which I didn't know they included) we checked in with exceptional staff that welcomed us with cookies! The staff that checked us in were real people whom act like normal people. When we got into our rooms they were double beds and the quality was far higher then my expectations of a 3-star hotel would be.

Great place to get a room. I was here for spring break 2016 with my family. Very kid friendly. The front desk staff were nice and professional. We really liked the room we got because it was poolside. The whole atmosphere of the hotel is very relaxing and there are historical pieces about the hotel that you can sit and look at. It's very clean here from what we could see and I plan on returning at a different date! Ooh, what the pictures of the hotel look like on the website are what they look like in person.

The Normandía was an average hotel. Kitchen closed at 10 which seemed odd for a hotel downtown on a Saturday night. The beds were comfy and for the most part seemed to be clean.

The location was ok, and parking was good. The room was very clean and nice looking. We were disappointed that the restaurant, Normandy Kitchen closes at 10pm, but the website said 12am. But otherwise a very good hotel and nice room, got plenty of sleep on the comfy bed and pillows.

The staff was great, offered us a complimentary upgrade to a king sized suite and were helpful and friendly. Rooms were clean and very comfortable. The in house dining was wonderful as well as the service. We had a great experience and would go back again!

Best hotel I've been too, Hotel staff is very nice and the hotel is right in downtown with a pool and Hot tub, everybody was kind and made it an awesome experience for me!

My sister and I planned a trip this past weekend to Minneapolis for the Mall of America and Luke Bryan concert. We arrived at our original hotel (which we had booked and also received a hotel confirmation) at 8 pm after traveling for 5 hours to find it completely under construction and closed with no number to call. The staff that night was extremely accommodating and switched around hotel reservations to fit us in for two nights after calling 10 other hotels and realizing the entire Minneapolis and Bloomington area was completely booked for the weekend. The front desk staff even advised us to use the light rail system to avoid traffic and parking expenses for the weekend. They definitely went above and beyond for us at the very last minute! The hotel was beautiful had a nice pool and hot tub and we enjoyed the warm cookies at night.

THIS HOTEL WILL RIP YOU OFF! I stayed at this hotel this past weekend, and brought my dog along since it is a pet friendly hotel. Unfortunately, dog damaged the bedding, which I brought to the attention of the manager, Jeff, upon check out. He assured me that this was not a big deal, these things happen, and that I would be charged a $100 insurance deposit to cover the damage. He then came to the room, inspected the bedding and again said it would be the $100. I asked him point blank to please notify me for any reason if it was going to be more before charging my card. He said yes, and again, that it would most likely be the $100. He was very friendly and understanding about it. Upon arriving home late that evening, I noticed I had a voicemail. I checked it, and it was Jeff — informing me that they inspected the room, found damage to the curtains and an ottoman, and went ahead and charged my account $1000.00. Yes, that is an extra zero added on to what he told me. I called the next day, and requested photos of the damage sent to me. It looked as though my dog had caused the damage to the curtain as well, but ottoman looked like someone took a knife to it, and the photo was taken somewhere else, not in our room. I told Jeff I would not be paying for the ottoman as that was clearly not done by a dog — if I could post the photo here, I would! I also requested an itemized receipt of the breakdown of costs.

Worst Hotel I have ever been to. They are thieves! DO NOT check your luggage in with them if you are waiting for your room you will not get all of it back. I checked my suitcase and laptop bag in at the front desk while I was waiting for a room to be ready and when I came back my laptop was no where to be found. The owner or Best western would not do any thing about it. So be ware.

I stayed at this hotel recently while attending the Garth Brooks concert. I picked the hotel because of its location and because of the price it seemed like a very good deal. I checked in and went to the concert and when I returned back to the room I went to get something out of the fridge and I could smell something coming from the safe, when I opened the safe there was a bag of marijuana and a lighter in there. I called front desk and the "security manager" came to my room to get it and he played it off like it was not a big deal that there was drugs in my room and I was then told that "it is hard for the maids to do a good cleaning on the rooms when we are booked so many nights in a row. " SERIOUSLY, no apology for finding drugs in my room or anything offered to me to make me a happier returning customer. It was very low class to have a security manager act like that. I was very disappointed and I would think twice before staying here, imagine if you had children along and they found the bag of drugs before you had. I was very very disappointed and next time I will know to look more into the hotel then just the price.

Rooms were clean and fairly nice. Staff was friendly. Paid for the rooms through Priceline so they needed a card for 'incidentals'. Failed to mention they were going to charge it for parking though, nor did they give me a bill for it. Don't enjoy seeing unexpected charges.

Worst hotel I have ever stayed in! Only thing good about this hotel was the location and the free cookie at 10 p. M. Waited in line for over 15 minutes to get checked in while someone continually walked in and out of the office without a care in the world that there were 6 groups behind us waiting to register. Hotel staff didn't seem to mind that a transient was making us all feel very "welcome". The hotel is old but that is no excuse not to clean. The beds were horribly soft. The icemaker didn't work. We ate a late night snack at the Normandy Kitchen. The "made fresh" pie was frozen in the middle and took longer to get than the cooked food. Waitress was in too busy to even stop back at the table to ask if we wanted more drinks or anything else. Do yourself a favor and don't stay here! And did I mention this is a pet friendly hotel. That's right, the dogs can bark on and off all night long and nobody cares. Add that to the "hole in the middle of the mattress" bed and you can imagine how much sleep a person gets.

Very friendly and helpful staff who graciously gave us clear directions to several places around town. We chose this hotel because they are one of the nicer (though affordable) hotels in Minneapolis that allow pets! (they charge a $10 pet fee, fyi) Amenities: Brand new, very comfortable mattresses and bedding. Excellent shower with good water pressure, room-darkening shades, refrigerator in room, free fast Wi-Fi and mineral water machine. BEAUTIFUL pool and hot-tub! Convenient parking, centrally located in a good neighborhood. Great experience all around and we'll definitely be visiting again.
