They ran my card for $4, 180 and still hasn’t sent me a bill for damages they claim I made on a incident that happens on feb 14th 2020. I need help contacting corporate or someone above. An accident occurred and they are seeking payment from me without settlement or bill or even contacting insurance. They treated me so poorly. I.

I have never been treated so poorly by management at a hotel before and it all happened upon check in. When I arrived, they tried to charge me a $200+ deposit on the room and try to convince me that was standard practice. I have even stayed in this hotel before as well as many others on a regular basis and I have never had to pay that much. Thomas was by far the rudest and most discriminatory person I have dealt with in a long time as he kept implying that the deposit was higher for me because I was a greater risk (I happen to be trans and POC) and trying to make me feel inferior for questioning the deposit. If I hadn’t prepaid for the rooms, I would have left. I ended up feeling so uncomfortable at this hotel I barely even stayed there and got another hotel nearby for a few of the nights. I would want to point out the lower level employees were very friendly throughout my week long stay. But it was still a very terrible experience. Moreover, the rooms were not great, the water pressure was terrible and the staff broke my laptop when cleaning.

They charged us twice for parking and to try to get refunded for the second charge has been a wild goose chase. Promises for call backs to try to get it figured out have been unkept. Very unsatisfied with their customer service.

Front desk said the room was vacant and clean, however the manager had blocked the room for only on time check in… what good can possibly come from having me sit around the lobby for an hour?

Was there for 3 nights, when we got there on August 2, we were checked in to a room that hadn’t been cleaned. When I went back to the front desk, the guy didn’t apologize or say much of anything. I had to ask if he was giving us a new room or if he wanted it’s wait, because apparently they were sold out. Our friends room was 4 floors down from us and they couldn’t get us closer because they were sold out… I’m extremely disappointed with the customer service. I work in customer service, and if I had checked someone in to a dirty room, at the very least I would apologize. So he gave us a new room, which seriously screwed up the billing. Extra charges were put through the credit card, we ended up with owing more money… which we are still dealing with over a week later. When my husband called them the person he spoke to was quite rude. I am hopeful the issue is fixed now, but we will see what the credit card statement says. I understand that people make mistakes, but when you make a mistake with your customers and you’re rude about it, that pisses me off! It’s their mistake, they should be apologizing at the very least! Because of that treatment, I am taking the time to write this review. We go to Minneapolis quite often, we won’t be staying at this hotel EVER again. It’s really too bad because the hotel was decent and the location was great. Next time we will try the nice looking hotel across the street.

Highly disappointed for the price.
1. Our room got cancelled an hour before check-in with no notice.
2. Once we got to our room, no trash bags in the garbage.
3. The bathroom door had no latch inside the door so it did not close, latch, or lock. A bathroom door!
4. We ordered room service, the list stated Bud Light draft. When we ordered they said Coors Light only which wasn’t even listed…
5. Beds were tiny. My boyfriend and I slept on the bed and both our feet were pretty much hanging off. Not mention beds were squeaky.
6. No mini fridge or microwave, but there was a safe and a Keurig which seemed crazy considering the price we paid for a hotel room downtown.
7. Went to hand in parking passes and both front desk attendants did not acknowledge that I was waiting for service. One was joking around with another employee and the other attendant was on the computer. No acknowledgement until I walked up. Very unprofessional. I sent an email to the hotel and got a response a couple days later that was a generic response that was addressed to someone other than me! Won’t be staying here again!

I very enjoyed my stay with the Crowne Plaza. The room was nice, and shaped a bit different then most other hotel rooms I've been in, wider. The furnishings were very nice and the bathroom was clean and very nice. I made use of the great exercise room a few times and I loved the fact that the hotel was connected to the Skyway. I hope to stay with the Crowne Plaza again for my next visit to Minneapolis.

Stayed here for a night for an event at US Bank stadium. The location to the stadium was great, maybe 7 blocks away. It's very close to bars downtown. The rooms were clean and spacious. Beds we're comfortable. The bathroom was large. Service was great. The hotel bar is nice but a little small. They have a parking ramp available that's attached to the hotel.

Downtown high-rise hotel. Comfortable bed. No mini-fridge. Lots of sirens and other city noise, as you would expect at a downtown hotel. I was awoken by nearby church bells every morning. Nice but standard in-house cafe and bar. Adjacent parking garage costs $25 per day. I had a problem with my QR code to enter/exit the garage, but it got fixed by both the hotel staff and the garage staff. Overall, not a bad place to stay, and the price is reasonable for a downtown area.

This was a pretty good hotel. I was put here for a business trip and enjoyed all of the food from the room service. The staff were very friendly and responded promptly to everything I needed.

Hotel was fine, but when I ran into problems leaving the parking garage the customer service was awful and revealed dishonest practice. I booked through a 3rd party that listed free parking as an amenity, so there was already an unexpected $25 charge (although I understand that this was a problem with the 3rd party, not Crowne Plaza. ) However, the woman at the front desk assured me that by paying for parking THROUGH the hotel I would be receiving a discount, not to worry. So I paid this, and upon trying to leave, I scanned the ticket I had picked up on my way in. It was for $22 — — $3 less than the hotel had charged me. I mentioned this to the attendant who affirmed, that yes, it was MORE expensive to pay through the hotel if you were only there for one night. I'd already paid through the hotel however, so I called them after my exit was denied. They sent a code to my phone twice, neither worked. I went inside and they gave me a piece of paper, which also didn't work. Finally the parking lot attendant called his manager and helped me out. I was sitting in the garage for 30+ minutes. The Crowne Plaza ultimately did nothing but upcharge me then prove useless when I had trouble with their inflated "service. "

I don't often write reviews so take that as you will. We stayed here for a girls weekend and from the beginning the service was poor. The bellman didn't help us get a luggage cart or offer assistance to us until after we had done everything for ourselves. When he finally did offer we said we were fine. We walked in and the gentleman at the front desk was less than friendly. I'm not sure I even saw him smile. I asked about a fridge and was told it was $25. What hotel doesn't have a fridge? We got to our room and the beds were the smallest I've ever seen at a hotel. There is no fan in the bathroom which was interesting, especially for 4 women trying to get ready. The sink plug was broken (but was fixed when housekeeping noticed). The repair man was the friendliest one in the place. When we left, we decided we wouldn't be staying here again. For $200/night one would expect more.

Amazing staff. Gorgeous room. Comfortable bed. Needed many extra pillows for my husband to prop his leg up due to an infection… they were very accommodating. Will definitely come back.

I have stayed here three times over the past few years, sadly each time had some sort of issue with the room or reservation itself. The people are very nice, but the overall organization of how they do things is not good. I will not be staying for a fourth time. In addition, over the past week I've now contacted this hotel three times for a copy of an invoice from a recent stay and each time they fail to follow through on a promise to send it out. That does not happen anywhere else I stay.

Room was nice and bed was very comfortable, but the shower didn't seem to get colder than "warm. " Not that it was too hot, but after a day in 90°, a warm shower isn't exactly what you want. On-site parking is nice, but very cramped and can be hard to navigate. Would also be nice if they had an EV charger that wasn't limited to just Tesla cars — other EVs exist too!

This hotel was a good price compared to a lot of nearby hotels. The location is great because it is close to the Mall of America but also next to the light rail so that you can go downtown to US Bank Stadium or the Xcel Energy Center. The staff was nice. The rooms were good quality but the showers were a bit short for me because I'm a bit taller. Overall good.

Very good location, plenty of food and bars around. Minneapolis is a beautiful city. This hotel has nice rooms, and an awesome outside garden in the 8th floor. The bar is expensive, but what do you expect. Enjoying my stay so far!

Hotel was beautiful and well kept. I had no issues with any services and staff was helpful. I would stay there in the future.

Not a good night. Room had multiple things broken, blinds, multiple lights, very disappointed. On top of that, the beds were the smallest beds I have ever seen in a hotel. I was then surprised to see there was no refrigerator in the room. When I reached out to the front desk, they could give me a refrigerator for another 25 dollars. I just gave up at that point. Plus side, staff was nice. Although I was a little upset when I asked about buying water, and they sent me to the odd number floors to buy from vending machine. After checking 4 machines, all sold out… I gave up. I can't remember the last time I paid this much for a room for as little value as we got. Not happy at all.

Stayed here last weekend during the snow storm. We had one of the greatest nights of sleep at a hotel ever. The room was very comfortable and quiet. And also very clean. The bathroom area had a lot of room for my wife to get ready to go out that night and this hotel isn't too far from Downtown at all. Would definitely stay here again.

Clean, parking, restaurant, great location. It was my first time staying downtown and I was pleasantly surprised how close I was to the riverfront, downtown attractions, and the business district. One night it was too cold and I visited the bar/restaurant on the ground floor and ordered a wonderfully prepared steak, creamy mashed potatoes, and muti-colored carrots with the shoots. Delicious! Rooms are nice and elevators swift. The executive level features a lounge with a hostest who waited on me and made me feel special. I will definitely return to this hotel.

Beautiful hotel. There is a rooftop garden on the eighth floor that is stunning. We went to a wedding there and it was a wonderful venue. It was a little loud for to traffic below, but it was great nonetheless.

The room is clean, has quite a bit of space to move around and have activities. It is unfortunate that you have to pay for parking. Especially $30 for 2 days when you're already paying a "higher" rate for a room. You do get a discount on the parking. So at least there is that. But perhaps they can work on getting it free and work it as an amenity… There is no free breakfast either. But then again it's not the holiday inn.

Good service. But walls are very thin. Neighbors were having a get together and were very load all night. Not a big fan of the shampoo and conditioner they provide. I suggest bringing your own.

Not a bad hotel, parking was way to expensive. Housekeeping staff was very good and the in room dining group was excellent. They were always super friendly and food delivery was quick and food was perfect. Rooms are average, nothing super special and nothing bad. I would recommend this place if needing to stay downtown.

Not a bad hotel, but also not great. A mix of updated and outdated. Standard King room was fine, but bathroom looked old. My only real complaint was noise. You could clearly hear everyone talking in the hallway, and while in the shower, I heard the next room over open their shower curtain plain as day. The real reason to stay here is price versus how close you are to attractions. It's about a 5 to 10 minute walk to the Target center area.

This is a great location. Right in the middle of downtown Minneapolis. It has a restaurant attached to it, as well as room service. But beware. The room I had did not have a fridge, and the parking ramp is 45$. And it's still 25$ after your parking is validated. Also. The room had two sinks, one in the bathroom and one just outside the bathroom.

I was skeptical at first due to the price of this place. I found the room to be comfortable and the hotel staff to be warm and welcoming. The hotel bar located on the street level was fun and full of entertaining staff. The parking is on the pricey side but I fear there is nothing anyone can do about that. Another thing to check out, the restaurant on the seventh floor. Do yourself a favor and grab an omelet, very nice and professional staff in the restaurant and very accommodating. The hotel is close to several bars and attractions making it convenient. We walked to several downtown bars and also to US Bank Stadium, which is quite close.

Good Hotel experience. Central to most things you could want in the city. Well connected to the Skyways that can link you to almost anywhere in the city. BIGGEST PROBLEM: They need some better street signage! The entrance is very hard to spot from street level and I had trouble getting people to meet me here because of this deficiency! Great bar downstairs, bartender was nice and she made good conversation.

Very nice place, beds are comfortable and staff is very friendly. There is a restaurant/bar on site that is typical for a hotel. Food is decent but not great and it is pricey for what you get. Also typical for this type of hotel, nothing extra is cheap. They do have free Wi-Fi and discounted parking in the ramp attached. Parking is $25 per day, for the location in the heart of downtown Minneapolis that is not bad. I would stay again!

The location was great and the beds were extremely comfortable. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Prices were reasonable as well. Biggest two problems were the noise and the presence of dust. I can tell the building is older, but my girlfriend had a hard time sleeping because of her allergies. Looking in the vents you can see some pretty thick dust/dirt built up and that is what we were breathing in. Also the walls were thin, and we had to call the front desk as our neighbors' voices were very loud and keeping us up well past midnight.

Location was perfect as we want to the Vikings game and it was just a 10 minute walk. Also very close to restaurants. Rooms were a little dated but overall very clean and well kept. Service was exception. We were greeted by each employee. The restaurant was very good as well!

The Crowne — Northstar is a fantastic hotel. Staff is super friendly service is quick and response. The hotel overall is a great value for downtown Minneapolis.

Location is perfect, right downtown. Tonnes of shops and restaurants within walking distance. Clean, friendly service.

I'm getting married at the Crowne Plaza in one month. Their staff has been amazing and Incredibly helpful so far. I have no doubts that my big day will go off without a hitch!

Staying in the hotel here with my daughter we went downstairs to the café/restaurant for our evening meal. It has a very nice ambiance and comfortable seating. Being from out of town, it was not obvious to us where to sit or how to order. So we asked the waitress for guidance in that regard. I don't remember what she said, but I remember how she said it. So we left and found a different place to eat. The hotel room itself was the nicest of our entire USA trip.

I parked in the Northstar parking ramp and only walked through the lobby. I walked from the lobby to the elevators, whiche led me to the parking ramp. The lobby was very nice. Very clean. And I was able to see the bar. I was impressed with how many people were there. I'd consider going back for a drink if it wasn't a weekday!

We stayed at the Crowne Plaza because of its location next to the US Bank Autitorium. We were able to walk to and from the event we we're attending. Room was clean, staff was friendly and helpful. They had parking in the same building so it was easy to get our stuff to and from the room.

Wonderful food, large rooms, fabulous staff! I hope I can remember the names but especially Aniesha, Jada, Aaron. Also, Krona bar staff, Bob & Ken and waitress (so sorry cant remember her name). Daniel in the restaurant too. Plus maid in the hallway. Thank you so much for making our last night get together so great!

Lobby is nice. Krona cafe is a typical hotel bar but the fireplace is a nice touch. Rooms and the room levels feel and smell like they need an upgrade. It has an older hotel feel in comparison to the Marquette which is trendy and a crisp feel. In comparison the Grand next door feels historic and stately.

Went there to tour the place for our upcoming wedding. We haven't 100% decided on Crown Plaza but after touring the place, it became our front runner. We were very happy with the options they had to offer for what we plan to be a smaller wedding. The minimums were very reasonable and the place had a great atmosphere. The employee that provided the tour was very pleasant and was able to answer all our questions. We also received our estimate the next day.

Great Experience this past weekend! From the Front desk to the Hotel Cleaning staff, kind and courteous (the only issue was the front desk staff needs to be better educated about the Downtown area).

I have stayed at aeveral Crown hotels. And they are always great. This one, major on the cheap side! Rooms suck, beds are terrible, bathorroms worse, small tub that doesn't drain well, extra furniture that makes the room hard to get through, products were good (shampoo, conditioner) no readily available ice machines and vending. Customer service in the lobby was fabulous, very accepting of GLBT especially my drag sisters. But over all for a crown, this place doesn't even measure up to others.

Everything has been great. Checkin was easy, parking was convenient, and the rooms are very nice.

I called the hotel early in the day to reserve a room. The lady I spoke with was SO nice. She was funny and helpful. We booked our reservation over the phone and were told we'd receive an email with that confirmation number. Mind you in booking that reservation you have to give your credit card number. (Please wait) Then we get to the hotel later that day (approximately 5 hours later) and went to the front desk and said we had a reservation and gave our name and everything to be told on a busy downtown Minneapolis Friday night at 6:30PM that THEY DIDN'T HAVE A RESERVATION FOR US. The two men at the desk were not helpful and were plain rude and dismissive. We were told to check our email for the confirmation number. Didn't find one. Naturally we were confused who we spoke with and who we gave our card information to. So we called back the number we spoke with and even told the desk we have proof we called because we had a 10 MINUTE LONG CALL TO THE DESK and the number we spoke with. Still they couldn't do anything. The guests checking in looked very unsavory also and were unnecessarily loud. It was a horrible experience. I recommend you NOT BE stay here or book here without personally going in. Check out the Hyatt Regency down the street. It's much nicer and CHEAPER. This place is a scam and we'll likely have to request new credit cards because we still have no clue who they had at their desk and who we gave our information too.

I can't speak to the accomodations as when we arrived they informed us they were over booked and they had transferred our reservation to a hotel across town. However, as frustrated as I was with the circumstances, the follow up with management was exceptional and they were very gracious with their service recovery. I hope to stay there soon, and based on my experience with the general manager I would still definitely recommend a stay there.

Noise in the hallway all night long despite 3 calls to frontdesk and telling patrons in hallway to be quiet. One of the worst nights we've had in a while. Doesn't help that walls were paper thin and we could hear certain… "sounds" at 5:30am. Ugh.

The Crowne Plaza is a excellent place to go for food or drinks. Its located in the heart of downtown. Its connected to the skyway so coming or going there is a breeze, regardless of the weather conditions outside. I noticed that everything was clean from the restrooms, lobby.

This location offers cheap, safe, comfortable parking close to all the downtown venues. It was a nice evening walk from our concert and parking for the night was only 6 bucks!

We stayed at the Crowne Plaza Minneapolis North star this past weekend for an annual event in downtown Minneapolis, this has been our third year staying with them. Our visit was by far one of the best experiences. The front desk was very knowledgeable, helpful, and beyond accommodating. The rooms were perfect. We asked for a specific floor, and adjoining rooms and they went out of their way to make us happy. I would recommend this hotel to all of my friends if they are ever in need of temporary lodging.

Pretty bare bones as far as business class hotels go. Skygarden is pretty cool.

It was a good hotel. My only problem is I left my dress and whenever I call about it they tell me they'll get back to me and still haven't a week later. How do you not find a black dress? It's annoying because I want mydamn dress back. Back. .

Mediocre. Stayed here for a wedding. Rooms are clean. Building could use some remodeling/updates — hallways and closet doors from the 80's. Bartending/event staff were very rude at the end of the night (we had an hour left and they kicked us out). Food is outrageously priced — $7 for a bowl of cereal. Parking ramp is also scary — low ceilings almost scraping the top of your car.

My husband and I stayed here for one night on 7/3. After checking in, we left to walk around downtown and ended up stopping at Fulton Brewery. After having our ID's checked by the rude guy when entering and then coming across a very rude bartender, my husband still ordered a drink but I left to go around the corner for a coffee. As I was walking from the Caribou coffee back to Fulton, a man on a bike coming from behind me grabbed my small purse from right out of my hand and took off. I was freaking out, I had never been robbed before. My husband and I walked back to the hotel and I had asked where their business center was because I needed a computer to get phone #'s to cancel cards since I had just been robbed. I guess word spread that I was robbed because after we had left the hotel for dinner and to try and calm down, when we returned, within the hour, there was a bottle of champagne in our room with a very nice note from the staff as their way of trying to cheer me up. At check out, the front desk staff gave us vouchers for breakfast also. The customer service here was amazing for not being a 5 star hotel. A few months ago we stayed at the Waldorf Astoria in Key West, which is considered a 5-star hotel and the service there did not come anywhere close to this Crowne Plaza, and we paid 5x more for a room there!

I attended a continuing education training at the Bloomington location. Our beverages were well-stocked, and staff friendly. I inquired if there was a room I could use to breast pump in. I was half expecting to be shoved in some janitor's closet; however, staff were extremely pleasant and gave me a hotel room to use for the two days.

I've always had good experiences from Crowne Plaza. Arrived yesterday and apart from my jet lag, I think this place is great. Free appetisers of you are stating on the executive floor with very friendly staff. The bed is support comfy. It seems that's there is a really soft topper on the mattress.

Stayed at the Crowne Plaza over the weekend and was a terrible nights sleep. It was Loud, sounded like someone taking a shower in our room (there wasn't), Door to the hall you can see light coming through all the way around it and therefore sound did to. We could hear people in the hall till about 3am. Facility was clean and neat, desk staff were friendly and helpful. Front door man helped us find nearby restaurant.

Not worth the price — and I used a Groupon! Not a single amenity available, not even a glass of water on check-in. On a Sunday morning they didn't offer coffee even though there isn't an open coffee shop within 3 blocks. Rooms need updated, beds are hard, and the place is NOISY all night long. I woke up at 1 am and 2 am to people yelling outside our door and then again at 3:30 to what sounded like a bowling tournament upstairs (probably why I was desperate for coffee). Don't stay here unless you seriously don't have the extra $10 to stay somewhere you can actually get a good night's sleep.

Got woken up by a rude security guard at 330 in the morning to the question of why does it smell like weed in the room. I was like seriously dude. I tell you. I like being accuse of something that I didn't do. Payed good money for a restless night.

Terrible. Received a noise complaint for the first time in my life, it was just me and my girlfriend. The walls are paper thin, we couldn't even have sex. After that we ordered room service and were just talking, the manager came by again and said they had a complaint. I was very respectful and suggested he might have the wrong room because all we were doing was talking at a reasonable level. He walked off, a rude individual. I went to the lobby and told them if I couldn't talk in the hotel room I paid to stay in they could refund my money and I'll go elsewhere. They assured me nothing was wrong and I never heard from them again. Bizarre experience. Parking attendant lady was on her phone and said your welcome before I could even say thank you haha. Avoid this place, the rooms are tiny also.

I was recently at your hotel the Crown Plaza and was beyond disappointed. My husband and I stayed over the weekend. We didn't have pleasant customer service from the moment we got there. First the hotel concierge got the name wrong for the stay and had to deal with a worrisome situation. The parking was really stressful with an unruly, non-helpful parking attendant lady who was obnoxiously gossiping on customers which was very obvious. Her speaking loudly throughout the parking ramp rambling how she "dislikes her job with these hotel guests", was very unprofessional on her part. I'm sad to say we will not be returning to Crown Plaza hotel again. I hope you forward this message onto your staff.

Got a great rate off of Hotwire for this place. Nice hotel and great downtown location. Front desk staff was very helpful and friendly, room was nice and quiet. No issues whatsoever, I would definitely stay here again.
