Review of Comfort Inn MSP Airport - Mall of America 2*

We seldom write reviews. In setting up our recent park/stay and fly trip we read reviews on several hotels around MSP. We chose the Comfort Inn Airport in spite of several less than stellar reviews that can be found online. We always seek lower cost accommodations and expect little of them. We found this Comfort Inn to be the best of this type we have stayed at for a long time. The desk staff was excellent. We dealt with the same fellow on both ends of our trip. He was excellent; among the most pleasant and helpful desk clerks we have dealt with. We are basically looking for a place to sleep for 8-10 hours when we are exhausted with little concern for amenities. The room was clean, neat and quiet. The continental breakfast was excellent; more like a breakfast buffet with multiple options. The airport shuttle was prompt and on time for our 4:30 AM ride to the airport. Upon our return near midnight in a heavy April snow storm, it may have taken the shuttle 30 minutes to arrive in truly bad road conditions. The driver dropped us at the front door and took the rest of the passengers directly to their cars in the on premises park and fly lot. The only negative is to be found in the telephone reservation system, wherever that is. The agents spoke perfectly correct English but with heavy accents, making it difficult for this old man's ears to understand them. We could write a bit more, but, suffice it to say our Comfort Inn Airport park and fly experience exceeded our expectations. We will use this facility in the future for our park and fly needs. Of course, our past experience does not guarantee your future satisfaction.
