The room was clean comfortable had good air conditioning the continental breakfast far is extremely heavy on starches and carbohydrates no proteins and minimal fruits. It consisted of your choice of waffles bread English muffins cold cereal peanut butter and jelly milk orange juice or apple juice and a banana.

A little outdated, but not bad. They lost our reservation, but placed us in a King Suite, luckily… that's why I'm sure to save reservation confirmations! Quiet and comfy after a 12 hour day of driving.

Been here a few times in the bar for billiards. The bartender in quite rude. Talking about guests in a rude manner and constantly going outside to smoke while patrons are waiting at the bar. Telling them it will be a minute while she does this. Ordered food which was good but had to wait a very long time as the bartender was out smoking. Someone from the kitchen ended up bringing it to me.

I have stayed a total of two nights front desk service is prompt and nice. The room I am staying in is clean and comfortable. The location is within minutes from the center of town and restaurants. Easily spotted from I80.

Everything here was hit and miss. The prices were a hit, considering the lodging, the restaurant, and the bar. Food and drinks were good albeit uncomplicated, and the room I stayed in was generally serviceable. However, the owner (Donna) was surprisingly cold and unwelcoming. She seemed like she disliked interacting with me, disliked the fact I was there, disliked how my room keys didn't work, displayed a what-do-you-expect-me-to-do-about-it attitude toward problem solving, and above all, seemed to wish she could be somewhere else far, far away. I wouldn't necessarily want her job either, but she made it clear she didn't care whether we ever returned. Noisy bar patrons were drinking and carrying on in the open air courtyard until 2am. Continental breakfast was rock bottom of the heap. Overall, for the money, it's an affordable night of sleep, a grill with a deep fryer that works like a charm, and a cheap bar, if you can get past the hostile environment.

I wish I could NOT give this hotel any stars. First when we got there it took the owner Donna Lampin hours to check in the people that we had already made reservations for. I finally got my keys to my room 356 and had feces on the toilet. I was so disgusted and IMMEDIATELY went to go report it to Donna Lampin. I saw someone working at the hotel I believe that was cleaning the eating area and reported to her and she said that she would handle it. I went downstairs for about 15 minutes to conversate with some of the people that I came with. I went back up to my room to see if they had started cleaning my room. I went back downstairs to tell Donna that the room was still not clean and she literally began yelling and being rude and said "You need to go back upstairs because I just called housekeeping and they have already handled it! " She also said housekeeping had already left and no one is here for the night. Now I had just walked downstairs so I was very confused on how someone had cleaned up the room that fast in less than 5 minutes. By this time the other parents that were with me heard how Donna was talking to me. One of the parents came to and asked me was I ok because they did not like how she had just yelled at me. We were all tired because we had all come from TX because the we had to perform at a festival that Evanston, WY had on June 23, 2018. I went back upstairs again and to my surprise the toilet was NOT clean and I took pics.

No bugs of any kind. Window opened. Had smoking room. Loads of towels. Nice lobby with tvland channel. No phone. Breakfast. I had a waffle, English muffin and orange juice. Met another traveler from Florida, what are the odds. Slept. No noise.

Went out with my husband & some friends for the 1st time in years & we had an absolute blast here! The bar tender was awesome! She was always smiling & very polite!

It looks decent when you walk through the front doors. Until you're led down a windowless damp smelling hallway. We went to bed around 1130 there were probably 3 cars in the parking lot. Got woken up twice by loud drunk neighbors. Out of a pretty empty motel they put the two people staying there right next to each other. I went and told the office and the attendant acted like I was an inconvience. It was an awful experience. The ONLY plus was that they allowed dogs for a pet deposit.

We ate at the restaurant. Good food, Valentine's day special meal. Waitress spilled wife's drink on her. No comp.

Very good low cost motel. Friendly, helpful staff. Good food. Well stocked bar. May not be the prettiest place around but you'll stay here for less than half what you'll pay anywhere else in Evanston.

Very comfy, clean, quite place for a good price, the bar is a nice place to hang out and relax and have a few beverages, food is great.

Very dirty rooms smelled funny. But a great place to stop of your tired. Needs a remodel.

Every clean nice and quit… They have pet rooms smoking rooms also a non-smoking rooms. The price is good to. There a resurant and a bar.

I went to have a drink with my friend at the bar. We got cranberry vodkas and they were $4.50 each, which I think is about the average price. They were good, you could definitely taste the vodka. They have a popcorn machine that you can grab as much popcorn as you would like. The bartender was super nice and checked on us a few times. It's quiet and the lights are dimmed. Gives a cozy feel.

Our room was relatively clean but the screen in our window was broken so we couldn't open it, there is no fan in the rooms so if you shower the room will becoming humid and moist. Free breakfast was also listed but there was no breakfast, we were told in the morning that it's 'too slow to do breakfast. ' Very polite staff but for a town with more than half a dozen hotel I'd recommend picking a different one.

Absolutely do not recommend this hotel for the simple fact that housekeeping pounded on my door at 9:40 to see if I was ready to have my room cleaned. When asked why she would pound on my door long before checkout, she just shrugged her shoulders and said it's what we do. Seriously? You work at a hotel where the checkout is 11. Waking up customers, many of whom arrive late at night after driving all day, almost an hour and a half before checkout by pounding on the door should be criminal. It's a horrible way to wake up, especially if facing another long day of driving. The person at the front desk even admitted they weren't supposed to be waking up guests at that hour but didn't seem like she felt like she had any power to change it. All in all, a horrible experience that I won't be repeating. If you're driving late, definitely don't stay here.

Starting at 9am, although I had requested a "late check-out" when I checked in — which, they informed me, was at noon — I had three knocks on the door, two of them with the do not disturb hanger on the door, AND a phone call at two minutes past noon! Two minutes! I've been a housekeeper at a motel. There was always an early check-out list, and if a guest had requested late check-out, they weren't disturbed whatsoever until At Least half an hour after late check-out time. Also, the bathtub stopper leaked, so I had to use a washcloth to fill it, and the shower walls and curtain were obviously neglected. I've never felt so disrespected, at ANY motel I have ever stayed at, and I've stayed at dozens! Customer service was repugnant!

First thing was the price not being the same as when I booked it. I let that go. Then, around 11, I was woken up by what sounded like a loud party. I looked out my window and realized it was coming from the bar. In the morning, 9:42 to be exact, I get a very long bang on my door. It was house keeping! Seriously?! Can I wake up first? After I got rid of the house keeping, an alarm went off 4 separate times. I have never felt so unwelcomed and unrested in a motel.

Very nice place, very nice people as well. Clean and they had many amenities for a $50 night motel that just made it a pleasurable place to stay. They might want to change their sign out when you come into town it says 4999 a night plus tax and they charge me $54 in change plus tax but that's just the $5 difference and I didn't mind paying it because it was worth it.

Best Hotel in Evanston WY. Steaks and Burgers are the Best in town. Staff are very Friendly, Great atmosphere in the Bar. This is the only Hotel in Evanston WY that I'll stay at. And, most importantly, the rooms are clean. Please do yourself a favor and pass on all the Overly Priced Hotels in the area that have no bar, no restaurant, and not the best rooms.

I was on a road trip with me family and was in need of a hotel room that allowed dogs. I have never been so welcomed and invited in. Jerry the night manager was there to greet us, and was able to take care of us right away. Never have I been in Wyoming and was impressed by the hospitality there. The breakfast was great we got eat a bit of biscuits and gravy and that hit the spot! Thank you again guys for giving us a place to crash for the night. My family loved the stay.

We should have an option for NO STARS. This is a reeeeeeeeaaally bad hotel! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE. Our sink doesn't even work! Shampoo and soap have been used! Dirty dirty place! You feel like you're gonna be mauled in the stair case!

I wouldn't give it any star at all! I do not recommend anyone staying here… It's old and dirty. Bathroom is disgusting. Towels have stains on them. For 72 bucks, is expecting something better, at least cleaner. The lady at the front desk want friendly at all… Please don't waste your money here.

If your in a REALLY BAD spot, stay here, if u have an extra 10 bucks go down the road. Very dirty and outdated. No lights in bathroom, only hand towels in room. No coffee maker in rooms as told. Unable to lock door securly. I thought it had to be decent due to all the Howard Johnson singage. I'm sitting on the toilet writing this and looked over and noticed NO FRIGGING TOILET PAPER TOO!? F@ Nevermind don't stay here!

Everyone was wonderdul and amazingly accommodating. The beds were comfortable and pets are welcome. We came in late and instead of the usual sleepy attendant who doesnt want to be there, I was greeted by friendly, cheerful ladies who bent over backwards to help me. The breakfast was excellent and the shower was nice. The price was also quite reasonable. I am pleased.

June 28, 2015. Do noy stay here! Read several positive reviews. Arrived at motel, the sign was not illuminated and the building grounds were not kept up. Checked in and was out the door for $67.00. Upon entering the stairwell there was a pungent odor. The stairwell was filthy and the carpet was horribly soiled. The hallway to our room was the same sights and odors as the stairwell. The room was in shambles and appeared to be occupied. The clerk cheerfully issued a new room, which was in the same shape as the first room. We got a refund and spoke with the Manager, who stated that we could get a room at the Super 8. She was not in the least bit embarrassed or apologetic. Do not stay here!

If you're paying less than $50 for a hotel with Wi-Fi and free breakfast, you're going in to the deal knowing it isn't a 5 star hotel. If you're looking for a place to take a shower, grab some sleep and get back on the road, this is the place for you. It might be a little older, but it met my needs and I'd stay here again.

We sweat over each nights hotel because we know that in the under $100 price range there are some real duds. We look at reviews on Google Maps, Orbitz and Trip Advisor a lot and so when we stopped at the next Howard Johnson in Evanston Wyoming with its mixed reviews we were just exhausted and decided to just do it. After checking in then going around the back of the property to get to our room we were a little concerned. The back door was busted open, there was trash in the hall and it was not well kept. Walking down the hallway was a heavy smell of smoke so I was just about to leave but we opened the door and we're surprised. The room was fresh and clean and was world's away from the rest of the building. Our bed was comfy and everything went well. The girl at the front desk was nice and professional. It's hard to say stay here but it was the best deal in town and the room was fine. Ownership needs to take some pride in the presentation of the hotel itself and this would be a good stop. If you're just there for the night it's doable.

Good news: I loved staying at this hotel. Bad news: I'm really easy to please. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean and warm, and the breakfast was. Free. Omelettes, sausages, biscuits and gravy, pastries, fruit juice, milk and cereal. Stayed a night longer than I should have just because I felt really comfortable here. Helpful hint: AAA members, don't forget to cash in on that discount. Also you can save some money at check out by reminding the teller that you didn't use the safe in your room. It's only $2 a night but why spend two dollars to rent a safe you didn't even use.

Rooms are clean. No problems with the rooms but TV only has 14 channels and Wi-Fi a little slow.

Not the typical HoJo experience. Room had empty beer bottles behind the chair. Drawers did not function on the dresser. Stained sheets and pillow cases. Got what we paid for. Fair price when you're stranded.

Cheap and dog friendly with free Wi-Fi and breakfast for 40 bucks and $10 dog fee! Greeted by a friendly desk attendant after we had to stop impromptu due to snow. Restaurant serves until 11 pm standard American fare but don't overlook the grilled turkey avocado BLT! Will stop by again.

For the price it was OK. A/C worked good. Requested a extra pillow and they brought 2. Continental breakfast was good. Bathroom was clean.

Stayed here twice in the last 2 months. Very happy with both rooms. Very Clean (I always look under the bed), lots of things available (iron, coffee, shampoo, etc. ) to use with in the room, some odor in hall but not in the rooms, great prices (especially if you book a couple days ahead, the breakfast is hot (eggs, and sausage) and good (other things available as well). Love the the 12 check out time. The best part was the customer service. The same young man helped me both times I checked in and he was so sweet and easy to talk to and FAST and checking me in! I would stay here again.

Very accommodating, I erred in booking the wrong weekend and a smoking room and they were kind enough to let me change reservations and move me to a non-smoking room. Affordable and clean, would recommend to anyone traveling through.
