Great find due to no other hotels had vacancies. Price was fair. An the room was great.

The gym was my favorite part, full of weights and options, not just an exercise bike.

Great check in! Room is very nice. Close to restaurant and bar. Convenient store across the parking lot.

Amazing place. I left my wallet with my credit card on it and extremely important things. I called in, all the way from California to report it, I didn't think it will send but next thing you know, in my mailbox is my wallet.

Great Hotel. The room was nice and very clean! The hotel its self was clean. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was good.

The family and I had a great stay. Rooms were clean and the pool was a nice way to end a long day. Our son loved the breakfast as there's a machine that makes pancakes. Nice hotel.

This is a newer facility which is easy to find, enter, and exit. Ample curbside parking in front of the hotel — in back of the gas station for rigs with trailers. We experienced excellent customer service. The room was clean and had ample supplies. Although we had a roadside room, it wasn't noisy. The breakfast buffet was well stocked and attended.

Excellent as most Holiday Inns are that we stay in when traveling. Highly recommended if you are in the area.

The staff was pretty friendly, so it was unfortunate that they failed to mention the carpets had been shampooed earlier that day. The carpets were still wet and the room had an odd, musty odor. And there was no relief from the smell, as they had no air fresheners. Left the window open to try and air it out, but it didn't help. One other complaint is that the parking lot was pretty beat up with cracks, potholes and uneven pavement. However, there were pluses to our visit. Didn't take a photo of it, but the alarm clock had two USB ports and two standard ac plugs for charging. The mini fridge had a small freezer (stuck ice packs in it for a cooler) and the water pressure in the shower was decent. Would have been a 3 star review if not for the carpet and smell.

Rolled in late at night to good service and clean beds. The morning buffet was excellent, one of the best I've ever sat at. Very neat, clean, and attended. There is only one thing I question. Why are there doors in front of the elevator? Are they to keep the zombies out in case of apocalypse?! Who knows! Kudos to the lovely lady at the counter for entertaining the question tho! Plan to come again next year.

Wendy is so awesome! Took great care of us and the breakfast was awesome! I was thinking it was gonna be continental breakfast, but it was a lot more than that. I hope all of the Holiday Express Inns are like this one.

My room was super clean, Wi-Fi was easy to access, and the front desk offered to print a page for me after I couldn't figure out how to use the printer in the business office. Staff was friendly and the location is good with access to TC's and a couple of bars nearby for a nightcap. The breakfast was good, and they serve cookies in the afternoons. Pretty hard to beat!

The room was beautiful — I was upgraded for free to a suite so that made it even better! The staff was friendly. I didn't realize it was not pet friendly so my dog stayed the night in the car, but everything else was great! The hot-tub was hot & no one else was there so it was very relaxing!

I called ahead for a reservation and when we arrived, check in was quick and easy. We opted for the kid's suite with the bunk beds. It worked perfectly with our kids. Facilities were clean, breakfast was well stocked with plenty of options, friendly staff, and plenty of parking.

They advertise movies that don't actually play in the room due to technical problems. They reimburse you for the movie but don't put you in a room where the TV works despite being 2/3 empty. Not like other Holiday Inns.

Great stay. Very nice pool and hot tub. It was very clean. Extermely nice staff. The food was great for a continental breakfast with hot and cold breakfast options. The rooms were very clean and spacious. Our room had microwave and refrigerator.

My husband and I have been on a two week road trip staying in Holiday Inn Express through Texas, New Mexico, California, Nevada and now Wyoming. This Holiday Inn Express is by far the best! The room was clean and everything worked properly. The breakfast was available from 6 to 10! It was the cleanest breakfast area we’d seen! … with great food! I would have given 10 stars if available!

In the top 3 of hotels in Evanston. Close to the freeway, depending on your room you could have road noise. I would choose a first or 2nd floor room in the middle of the sections on the front side, or a back room on the first floor. Well maintained if you have any issues let management know.

Nice hotel and quiet. Only complaint is that the hallways and stairs are filled with a chemical fragrance that made it difficult for me to get to and from my room. The smell was overwhelming, but thankfully it was not in the room.

We are just traveling through and our daughter has Cystic Fibrosis and she has a vest therapy that is needed to be done for her treatments and we are making this trip on a very tight budget and trying to make it back fast. We didn’t want to bring her machines Into a truckstop area just because it’s not very sanitary and we were at the gas station across the street and I came over and I asked the lady behind the desk and her name is Kathy and simply just asked if we could just sit for 30 minutes to do my daughters vest and explained why and she asked her manager Erica and they were so kind to us they went above and behind just to make sure that my daughter was able to come in, be comfortable and do what was needed to get done for her treatments her health. They also took interest and just to learn about the illness one of them didn’t know about it and she wanted to know and both of them just chatted with us and made us feel very good about what we are doing as parents and sometimes when you’re a parent with a child with an illness just hearing that changes your whole day so this place I would recommend to anybody they were so kind us and it is so clean here and they were just amazing! ❤️❤️

The hot tub was not working but the pool was nice. We always enjoy the breakfast at a Holiday Inn Express. It was just what we needed for our nights stay.

Repeat guest at this location. Rooms are clean and spacious, breakfast is on par with other HIE. Hot tub has been out of service for at least a week?! Unacceptable.

We wanted to get a room here on September 3, 2017. I had seen a rate of $87 on this website. We asked if we could get that rate at the front desk or if we needed to book online to get it. The desk clerk literally laughed at us and said if we could book it for that online to go ahead and do it. I double checked to make sure I was right. We stayed at the motel next door. I will be reporting this to Holiday Inn Express directly.

Really like that the staff who were professional and friendly. Especially Cindy who accommodated us with an early check-in and changed our room to ground floor. Not only that but made fresh coffee but also baked some cookies. The breakfast was what you expect, yummy, hot, kept fresh. Room was clean. The right combo for a long driving trip.

Clean and well-maintained pool area. Room was clean with great beds and linens, but some wear and tear is evident. TV does not have a guide with current program listings, just a list of stations. Hallways smelled strongly of cleaning solution. Breakfast was par, and the breakfast room was very small and cramped. Service friendly. Dogs are $25 a night.

I made a reservation at this hotel because it is supposed to be pet friendly. When I arrived at 1am after a 14-hour drive, I was told my dog (a very old, calm Alaskan Eskimo) could not stay in the room because the room was, in fact, a suite, which means it had two queen beds and a pull out sofa. I verified that it was not a "clean" room set aside for allergy sufferers. There were no other pet friendly rooms available in the hotel or in any other hotel in town. I was told by both the desk representative and the general manager that an acceptable solution was for me to sleep in my car in the parking lot, which I have done. I drive a small sedan with bucket seats. I am furious. The desk clerk has offered me a Starbucks coffee card to help improve my satisfaction. What a joke.

Great hotel, but probably haunted. I was at the Holiday Inn Express in Evanston for a quick pass through in April. The staff, facility, and amenities were top notch, however, I believe that this location may be haunted. This probably sounds crazy or far-fetched, but I noticed a few things during my stay that brought me to this conclusion. 1. After a lovely and timely check in by the front desk staff, I hopped onto the elevator with my luggage, pressed the "2" button, and arrived on the 6th floor. Now, I found this a little peculiar as this Holiday Inn Express only had 3 floors. 2. When I finally did arrive at my room, which was very tidy, the television kept turning itself to the TNT channel which was running a marathon of Supernatural. Coincidence? Maybe. Spooky? Just a little. Annoying? Yes. Jensen Ackles is probably my least favorite actor ever. 3. I took a nap earlier in the afternoon and around 10 PM, I awoke to a man sitting on the edge of my bed. He was dressed in period clothes, perhaps from the early 1920's. He was incredibly polite and we had a great conversation about coal mining. He left just before midnight by walking through the wall into the next room. 4. When I awoke the next morning, the coffee maker had already brewed my coffee and I found it sitting on the desk, still hot, with cream and three sugars, just like I would have made it myself.

This hotel was convenient and the customer service was great. My 6 yr old LOVED the kid suite with bunk beds. The pool was also a nice perk to have when traveling with kids. HOWEVER, it would have been nice if the kid channels hadn't been relegated to pay-per-view. PBS Kids for $2.99 an episode? No, thanks… but try explaining that to 2 youngsters. That was the only negative thing.

We come once a year to watch friends play basketball and stopped here because we found out about the king plus bunk bed rooms. Our kids love having their own little room. The pool and hot tube is great and not too cold/hot. Breakfast is always decent and the pancake machine is neat fit the kids. They also have a great gym with actual weights and really good equipment. We continue to come back here and have not found any reason to try the others in town.

One of the best kept hotels I have stayed at in awhile. Eveything was top tier for this level of hotel. I especially enjoyed the size of the fitness center. It could comfortably handle multiple guests at once. If you have to stop in Evanston this location is well worth it.

Hot breakfast, hd tvs, nice indoor pool and hottub. Get it.

I almost never write reviews, but the service my wife and I received at this hotel has made me reconsider. The room was clean and smelled nice. The best part about our stay there, however, was the breakfast. Holy cow. Lourdes makes the best breakfast I have ever had at a hotel. The food was fresh, there was a large selection. Everything was fantastic. I wanted to sit there all morning and all the delicious foods, but unfortunately my stomach filled up. If we ever stay in Evanston again, we are going to stay at Holiday Inn Express.
