We were placed in room 114 and spent much of the evening listening to people running down the second floor hallway and slamming doors on the first and second floor. When I addressed this with the night manager I was basically blown off and told that there wasn’t really a problem because she had been monitoring the security cameras. I don’t make up problems just because I have nothing better to do. If this place wants a good review or recommendation, then the management needs to treat their duties as more than the way a frat house is operated.

Our stay was amazing and the staff is absolutely the BEST!

Our room was dirt. It had a dirty wash cloth hanging on the shower rod. The AC unit was leaking inside. The carpet is wet. The room smells like mold and mildew. Other surfaces have dirt and smears so you know no one has cleaned them in awhile. During a pandemic you would think cleaning would be ramped up but that doesn't seem like the case here. We will never stay here again!

We stay at this hotel nearly all summer, for work, the staff is great and helpful, working around our sleeping schedule, and always excellent at cleaning my room, the entire cleaning staff is excellent, hats off especially to taylor, and tonya, but really great no matter who. Also the breakfast lady who prepares breakfast really cares about her job, and the customers, it is well managed, I really cant say enough good things, too often people only complain, but I stay enough where I appreciate the little things that make a stay awesome.

We had a wonderful stay. We were able to get upgraded which was a tremendous help to us. My Mother was due to have hip surgery two days after we returned and the upgrade helped so she could sleep in a bed by herself. Also, we asked for a suggestion for dinner and they suggested a wonderful local Italian restaurant. Check in was great. Breakfast was good. I especially liked the cinnabons and fresh fruit. The staff was wonderful. I would definitely stay there again.

Very nice place to stay. Front desk very nice and courteous. Very quite. Pool a little cool but enjoyable. Breakfast very warm and tasty. Lady taking care of kitchen very friendly and concerned of areas looks. Would stay again. Thank you to all!

It was a little bit spendy for one night considering we checked in just before 2am, but didn’t have much other option (some places will knock off a few dollars for a partial night, but I didn’t push it). The employees were friendly and the room itself was very nice. However, despite the room (possibly all the rooms? wasn’t sure) being non-smoking, the man in the room next to ours was smoking all night, coughing, and audibly talking to someone. The smell of smoke was everywhe…re. Our room, hallway, elevator, etc. Just wanted a few hours of rest with my family on our way back home after 12 hours on the road and another 13 the next day. We didn’t get it. Not really the fault of the hotel when there’s an inconsiderate guest, but that’s why I gave 3 stars. If we’d had a few more days there, would’ve been nice to try the breakfast and pool.

Slightly odd smell in room but not overpowering. Side door key scanner broken so people were propping it open with a rock. Weak water pressure in shower. Nice front desk staff. Good breakfast with gluten-free muffins available. Pool is small. My parents had an accessible room but the bed was too high and the toilet too low for my mom who has a disability. They were also next to the laundry room which was super loud so my mom had a hard time sleeping. They did like that the hotel is pet-friendly.

One of the friendliest places ever. Each staff member greated us with a smile and happy salutations. The room was spotless. The sheets were perfectly clean. I recommend this hotel if you want your stay to be stress free and relaxing.

We are still here, had 2 night stay. The breakfast was excellent at this location and the lady that took care of it went above what she had to do for us. She even collected our dirty dishes. She kept everything at the buffet fresh and hot. Our room has been beautifully updated, a couple of things re toilet, needs to be higher and have a lid. Very clean, we did run into a problem when we got back this afternoon our room had not been touched by housekeeping, the young lady on duty came up and took our garbage brought clean towels and even offered to make our bed. We would definitely stay here again.

Great hospitality! Room was modern with a contemporary design feel. Clean, sanitary! Bedside USB! Premises well maintained. Pool is nice but missing the hot tub. Breakfast was very good. So much to choose from. I say "go check it out"

I was staying in this hotel and there was a problem with the printer at the reception when I checked out and they didn't give me my receipt. They told me that they are going to send it to me by email but I haven't receive anything and I need it to check travel expenses for my job.

Very nice and new hotel. Had the USB charging stations on the bedside tables, which I love to see. Good continental breakfast.

Clean, comfortable beds. It is dog friendly, the pet fee is a little high. It would be nice if it was refundable but other than that we loved it. The breakfast was fantastic! Thank you!

Convenient off the freeway, and the sidewalks and parking lot were well plowed and free of ice. Very helpful staff.

Had a tire blow out traveling back home after Christmas IN below zero weather. My spare was no good but the hotel staff was great, courteous and helpfull. The room was clean as well.

The parking was well-lit and ample for the number of rooms. The lobby looked recently renovated and in excellent condition. The room was clean, the bed was soft. Breakfast was free and tasty. Checkout was a breeze.

Updated holiday inn express. Food options require a short drive up into Sturgis, MI. Located directly off of Indiana toll road.

Big nice suites. Clean overall. Bunk beds for the kids in the same room in the room we had. The only down side was the patch job on the ceiling in the bathroom, fell off. Looks like it had been spackled a few times but the problem is water leaking from room above. Aside from that, the place was nice.

Hotel smells like cigarettes. Rooms smell fine to me. If you have a sensitive nose, stay away.

I'm a Spire member and I cannot give 5 stars due to one major issue (at least for me). This is my second time at this hotel and the service is great and staff is wonderful. I come here for work so I don't have much choice. My complaint is the water pressure. Took me a full 5 minutes to rinse my hair (I'm a guy) and an entire 30 minutes to shower. I couldn't even enjoy a hot shower due to the water being all the way hot, minimal pressure and water not warm. It's a cold morning and all I wanted was a hot shower.

Hotel is modern and very clean. Staff are friendly and helpful, breakfast is typical but satisfying. Highly recommend.

This hotel is renovated, clean, and very roomy inside. Very comfortable bedding. Pet friendly, which was a perk for us traveling with a dog! It is a $40 charge, which I felt was a bit much. But I give it five stars for the service. I believe the staff member at the front desk was named Colleen. She was funny and very welcoming. The breakfast was yummy and the check-in/check-out process was simple. Nice stay!

All of staff extremely friendly. Never felt like I was an annoyance when I asked for something extra. Everyone always seemed more than happy to help.

Holiday Inn Express ROCKS! This is my first time at the Howe, IN location; I've also stayed at HIE in Baton Rouge, LA. Great accommodations, great breakfast, great price, friendly employees… you can't go wrong!

Got special pricing due to work in the area which is nice. The hotel was clean and internet was amazing. The free service is a fast connection ad not something that is throttled to a low bandwidth that ends up as a slow browsing. This is located in Howe, IN which truthfully I don't see much else around. But this is one of the nicer hotels in the area if you need to stop.

It was an excellent place to stay. Clean and spacious with a friendly and accommodating staff. I would recommend it to everyone.

I recently visited the holiday inn express (Howe) Sturgis, MI. My visit was actually for a job interview in witch I start Monday Janurary 4th 2016.

My experience was pretty good. Beside most of the staff in the hall said nothing to me except for Amy the housekeeper! She was very friendly and asked if I needed anything and had a smile on her face! She was an awesome help and I'll definitely ask for her services next time I stay here. And the rooms were awesome too. Spacious and very clean. Thanks Holiday Inn Express of Howe/Sturgis. I'll definitely look forward to seeing you guys again.
