Realized after my daughter already used the towels and washcloths that there was nasty black crusty stuff all over all of them.

Quit Location. Comfy Beds. Fair Price. Rooms come equipped w a refrigerator and a microwave. Flat Screen TV. Friendly Staff.

So clean and home like love it.

This motel was very dirty and had a disgusting smell throughout room and lobby. There was a smoke smell right at entrances. There was alot of traffic on foot and vehicle. It didn't seem safe. I would definitely not recommend this place for families or children. No elevators available.

Room was convenient to downtown but not in walking distance. Price was reasonable. Room was clean and functional. Good value for the money.

Really well taken care of hotel. Staff super friendly, and helpful. Plenty of pizza and real homemade Mexican food yards way. Hotel is super clean the maid staff bend over backwards to make your stay as comfortable as possible. I would give it a diamond rating.

This place was absolutely unforgivably dirty. My room was even dangerous as the locks on the doors were falling apart. The deadbolt fell off the door over night. My roommate and I weren't even using that door. I had to insist the manger come deal with it. The place was so disgusting that I put a plastic zipped bed bug cover over their mattress with the linens still on the bed. I purchased bedbug spray and traps to put around the room. The shower head didn't work — — producing only a trickle of water. The tub was "worn" or filthy to the point where I went to the YMCA to shower. This place should be visited by the health department and closed. I wouldn't recommend my worst enemies stay here. To make it worse, it's one of THOSE hotels where you need PERMISSION from the manager to have GUESTS after 10 pm. Make of that whatever you will!

Not bad, pretty clean. Breakfast wasn't very good. The staff were nice. Didn't try other facilities.

I am usually not very good at making sure to post reviews about places I stay, or eat, etc. This hotel though has been very accommodating and most of the staff very friendly. The rooms are beautiful, clean and have pretty much all you will need to get your day started or if you're winding down for the night. Either way this hotel has it all. If you ever come to Grand Rapids or if you live here and just want to get away for the night or a couple of days I adamantly suggest you give this place a try. Oh and I'm not sure if he's the manager or the owner but if you ever have any issues or even just to rave about what a beautiful place this is, call on Alex. He will take care of it all and is very kind and professional about it! Do yourself a favor and give this place a shot you will NOT regret it!

Would not recommend staying here. The room smelled dank and the sheets weren't clean. Thankfully we were able to get a refund and find someplace better.

This hotel was terrible. There were insects all over the room. Fruit flies, roaches, spiders, everything. I got bit by something within the first hour of being there. Just terrible area in general. Don't waste your money. Over $100 for a terrible stay.

Non-smoking queen room on the first floor had a strange odor upon entering the room, but I became acclimated quickly. It wasn't obnoxious. The room was clean. The bed was firm and comfortable. Bathroom sink had several small cracks in the finish, and the base of the toilet needed recaulked for aesthetic purposes. No complimentary conditioner in the room. Front desk service was good. Complimentary breakfast was OK. In short, I am not disappointed by my stay. I was looking for a cheap hotel room for a short overnight stay, and this room provided just that.

The location works against this hotel. Very busy traffic and not the prettiest area. However, the hotel itself has very friendly staff. Our room was spotless and I've paid more for lesser quality of a room in other hotels. Hotel was quiet and accommodating. When I come back to this area I will be staying here again.

Excellent mattress for sexing. BUT, couldn't turn the music past 30 to drown out the noises.

Staff was friendly and helpful. The room wasn't anything special but for the price it was what I expected. My room was clean. Air and heat both worked. It was quiet. We stayed 2 nights. I will stay there again if I am out that direction again.

Absolute worst hotel I've ever stayed in, reserved the room a week ahead of time was told one price, and charged a completely different one. The bathroom was absolutely disgusting. How this place is even open is beyond me.

Bed spread had cigarette burns, and no smoke detector, despite being a non smoking room. Walls are pretty thin, you can easily hear conversations in the hallway. Cheap, and you get what you pay for, I'll be spending a bit more next time I need a room in grand rapids.

The travellodge hotel was fairly clean and located close to the highway and a short can ride to downtown. However the room I had overlooked the indoor pool and the walls are very thin, there were children quite loudly running above me. My bed comforter had a ciggarette burn and was disheveled. Staff was friendly and helpful. It was very inexpensive, it wasn't the worst stay but a clear example of getting what you pay for.

Worst room ever. Dirty, disgusting, stinky, and dark. Turned directly around after spending 30 seconds there and demanded a refund. After being told I 'used' the room I left and stopped payment. They continued to steal nightly charges long after I left from my 30 sec stay. Avoid this place. They are THIEVES!

Honestly I really don't know what people are moaning about, I stayed at this place for 9 day's and I did not want to leave, it felt that good! The bed was luxury, room cleaned every day and the staff had GENUINE SMILES! Not false 'because I have to' I have stayed in 4 star hotels throughout the world but I feel this 3 star Travelodge leaves them to shame. Keep up the good service guys!

This place is a pure dump. The room smelled of musk, black mold was in the bath tub and not to mention there was drug activity taking place in the parking lot. I will not recommend staying here.

If you need a clean room in downtown Grand Rapids and very affordable then this is the place. Very friendly staff also. I do not choose a hotel based a free breakfast.

I stayed in this hotel for a business trip, it is now 1.11am and I know I will not sleep tonight due to the noise in other rooms, cars coming and going dropping ladies off, strange goings on, running water in the room above,,, banging around, I asked the young lady at the front desk if I could move rooms as I need to sleep, but I was told that is not possible due to company policy, the people here obviously give zero thought to customer satisfaction, all they want is your money. Even though I paid for three nights I will need to check out in the morning and lose the money for the last night, you can be sure now they have their money they will NOT return it, Yes they supplied a room, but it is not possible to sleep in here due to the noise,,,,,,,,,, stay away! There are other choices locally, a few bucks more but worth it.

Had a great experience staying here a in February. The hotel is clean, the people working there are kind and offered to help with finding a place to eat. There is a computer in the lobby for guests to use, which came in handy when trying to book a trasvel reservation to another city (the internet is extremely slow but it works! ). The breakfast is good — your standard continental breakfast but with a waffle maker too so that was a treat. All in all, I recommend that people stay here.

Convenient location for travel north. Very good value. Friendly staff. Would definitely stay again.

This is my 2nd time staying here while traveling for work. Just looking for the cheapest room that will still be good enough to relax in. I've been very happy. No problems with anything. The bath heat lamp/fan could use a good cleaning. Other than that the whole room is very clean and smells nice. I love the mattresses, very comfortable! Cost me about $10 more than the Red Roof Inn I stayed at before here and its a night/day difference for cleanliness and comfort. The staff here are great! The Red Roof had nice staff as well but was pretty dingy and I didn't get any rest there. I'll have a great day tomorrow with a good night's sleep. It's hard to not fall asleep in this bed. The sidewalks are not maintained well with snow and ice.

Parking lot covered in snow and ice. Ice dam build up just outside the door of the room, advised front desk and they attempted to clear by spreading salt outside door, parking space snow and ice covered. For the price, room very small, furniture old and outdated, when you sat on the chairs you felt as if you were going to fall thru. The king bed was weak and you rolled to the middle, very uncomfortable. Do not recommend.
