Inexpensive. Decent breakfast. No elevator. Minor Smoky odor in our room.

I always stay here when I go to Keokuk. Price is good. Rooms are remodeled recently and clean. Staff is very nice. Looking forward to going back in the fall.

People are very friendly and accommodating! Room was clean, breakfast was hot!

Super clean, gorgeous room, cheap on top of that! And a great free breakfast the morning after.

I was VERY happy with my stay! They staff were very friendly & extremely helpful when needed. Everything was freshly remodeled & super clean. I left for work early morning was surprised breakfast served early morning, had something to eat before leaving for work.

One of the nicest Super 8s yet. They take pride in the property. Very clean. Newer modern bedding. New tv. Micro and fridge. They were eager to meet our needs.

What a hole. Avoid this hotel. I hung my clothes on the rack (nothing as fancy as a closet here! ) and the rack immediately pulled out of the wall. Terrible tiny beds. Not well cleaned. Not a good place to stay.

BEWARE: This property retains your patronage by charging a $1.60 fee at check-out for a room safe, regardless of whether a room safe was used, or not. I call it the $1.60 customer retention philosophy. So watch out, if you did not happen to use your room safe during your stay, they will slip this fee in at check-out and once you notice you have paid this fee, they'll have you hooked and you will never be able to stay at another hotel while in Keokuk, ever, unless you are allowed to pay this fee! This philosophy works even better than the subliminal advertising that was once used in movie theaters… I can't wait to stay at this property again…

Fine location. Otherwise the doors slammed, housekeeping didn't clean the room we were supposed to be in and we had to change. Our new room wasn't stocked with soap and smelled horribly of mold. There were two huge holes in the bathtub that were completely moldy. Housekeeping walked into our room at about 8am while we were still sleeping. On the positive, breakfast was great. There was a large selection and it went until 10, which was nice since we woke up at 9:30.

I had a room on the second floor and there is no elevator, so it was very difficult to get my luggage up the stairs. Not only that, but the room wasn't as expected. Online, the room was said to have 2 queen beds and a king, but it was 2 full beds and 1 queen. The TV channel guide was incorrect, but the TV did have premium channels (once we could finally find the correct channels) which was a plus. The room and bathroom were clean, as well as the hallways. There were also a few different places to order food for delivery, so overall, I rate it 3 stars.

The rooms are always clean they always have fresh towels and they are pretty nice staffed.

The room was nice. Smaller than I thought it would be but it kept nice and cool with the a/c. The free breakfast left a lot to desire sadly. The gal at the front desk when we checked was very friendly.

Staff was friendly, room was clean and comfortable. Bed was a little hard for my taste. There are restaurants and convenience stores very close by.

I had to work on the internet and everyone at the facility was very nice and helpful. Tech support was awesome as well. The employees were always cleaning or finding something to do to stay busy. Very nice to see.

Was quoted one price and then given another upon arrival. Although they lowered the price a little when I complained, it wasn't what I had been told when I booked it. Small room. Beds were not at all comfortable. My daughter did like the breakfast, but it was a miserable two day stay. We've stayed in Keokuk at different places many times over the years. Never again at the nonSuper 8. I've learned my lesson to book many weeks in advance.

Actually it totally surprised me that it was SO CLEAN, looked fantastic, was comfortable, cool, and the bed was perfect! I do want to say though the bed needs 4 pillows instead of two. My husband and I thought the pillows we're too soft and definitely could have slept better with two pillows each. If that is the worst thing about it. It's a pretty nice place! ☺.

Clean comfortable stay, nice exercise room, quiet fridge&coffeemaker in our room, clean bathrooms but continental breakfast not too great. More tables&take out couch, just a thought.

Thegirl that works evenings needs to stop bringing her scrub boyfriend in there at night when guest want to use the lobby and microwave since they don't have any in the rooms and then give ing the guests crap she needs to be fired.

Very courteous staff. Nice little complimentary breakfast. Basic, no frills hotel room but clean with a very nice bathroom. My room featured a fridge, safe, comfortable recliner, coffee maker and desk. For a traveler looking for a safe, clean place to sleep, you can't go wrong. I will definitely stay here again.

It was one of the cheapest hotels around, but after staying here it was obvious why. The hallways smell strongly of smoke, and the rooms don't smell great either, they feel musty. All of the breakfast was gone when we went down around 9:45. It is located on the edge of town (the edge opposite the Mississippi River). We will stay elsewhere on our next visit.

Well it was a pleasurable experience staying here on October 9, 2009. The staff is extremely nice and friendly. I would recommend it highly to smokers. I smoke, can't anywhere in Illinois, he doesn't and I chose a smoking room. Boy was it nice to be able to watch a movie and smoke a cigarette. In expensive, gives AARP discounts as well as government discounts. Great way to save.
