I one day last week had a domestic issue with my Ex husband. Was taken there having nowhere else to go. The wonderful couple who are the owners or management for the motel. They trusted me for a few days not knowing me at all let me stay until I received my money. They lowered the price some what on room rates. I'm still homeless. But I was able to finally get my cat I've paid for in full. Then after I did finally did get it drove it as far as Spencer. Surprise more REPAIRS needed so far almost one thousand dollars and still more to come. I am very much in debt to the Economy Inn. Thank you very very much.

It a place to get away and think & sleep. There's plenty of resturants, stores, bars around it.

Sat down on toilet lid and it immediately broke into pieces. As I am not heavy, they obviously have purchased the cheapest toilet seat and lid possible for their establishment.

I stayed a week at the Enonomy Inn. I got a great rate, a great room and the owner and his family are amazing people! Im new to the area, I was greeted and treated with respect and compassion. The Owners simple acts of kindness, and his willingness to help guide me where I needed to go, in a town that I was unfamiliar with, really impressed me! He was a great Ambassador, if you will, to the City of Fort Dodge Iowa. Housekeeping did a great job and she too was very kind and out going. The rooms were newer and updated and had a desk, refrigerater, microwave and comfortable bed. Overall a great experience! A huge thanks and a shout out of gratitude goes out to him and his wife!

AMAZING! never seen a motel this cheap and there was great service what a amazing staff the people were really friendly the rooms smelled like heaven and the area was so amazing everything was close and good.

The manger and his wife are great ppl very friendly and helpful. The room was very nice and clean I stayed two weeks here and they were very quick to help wit any problem I had. They made me feel like family so if ur looking for a great motel at a great price ur in the right spot. As far as the other reviews saying the room stunk I don't see it possible like I said I was there for two weeks and stayed in three different rooms never had any problems wit the rooms. Also this is a very kid friendly motel. I had my son wit me and he would wake up crying at night never had anyone say anything to be about how loud he was (trust me he ain't quite) unlike at the days inn acrossed the rd I was getting complaints at least once a day about my son… Anyway I could just go on and on about this place I was actually sad to leave Caz they were all so friendly and nice I really enjoyed my stay here!

I am staying there now. From the outside, it looks a little dated, but the room is nice and very clean. The employees are very nice and the value is great. The gentleman that runs it is very helpful. For under 400 a week, with taxes (keep in mind that other budget chains in the area are at least 100/week more), with mini fridge, microwave and a working ac, you really can't ask for anything more. I travel a lot and stay in a lot of motels and this is one of the better ones in this price range. The only thing that isn't A plus is the Wi-Fi, which works fine, but requires you to login constantly to stay connected; honestly, that is the case with many places these days and isn't a major issue, but it is just a little annoying. Overall, with friendly helpful employees, a low price and clean rooms where everything actually works, it easily earns a recommend.

Never again will I stay at this place! Words can't describe how awful their hospitality is! When we first checked in there was 3 of us staying in a 3 bedroom suite and they charged us a set rate that was reasonable for the first night. We had informed the man at the front desk who barely spoke english that we would be having another person join us for the 2nd night and he said that it would be an extra $20 for a cot, which was fine. But later that night the 4th person who was suppose to be joining us had backed out. So we were back to just 3 of us again. Then the man at the front desk said that we still owed him the extra $20 even though there was only 3 of us staying in the room… (And that's just the service! ). Their room's were filled with flies, there was a water pipe banging against the wall all night keeping us up, their matresses were stacked on the floor with no box springs, the towels had holes in them, and the toilet barely flushed. I wouldn't recommend anyone to stay here!

Best Customer Service for a non Franchise Hotel I have ever experienced. This Economy Inn is located in heart of Fort Dodge where I was visiting my boyfriends parents. Family who owns and operates this Hotel was so kind to me and gave me a great deal, very clean, great service and convenient location to shopping and restaurants.
