Do not stay in this filthy hotel. Dirty stinky rooms and they take deposits and WILL NOT GIVE YOUR MONEY BACK! Owner refuses to address any of these issues. Save your money and stay in a quality hotel! Oh and this is their jacuzzi.

Hotel was clean throughout the building. Rooms were large… and very big. I had a king suite. Only issue was missing TV remote but was able to clear that up with man at front desk. Breakfast was take and go bags with coffee and apple and orange juice.
I booked thru Priceline, excellent rates.

Here in Rockford they charge for your pets now. My 7 lb Pomeranian was $30. MADISON does NOT charge.

Decent room, comfy bed, hot shower. What more do you need?

The pool was closed and I was not informed. Very clean though.

If I recommend it they are very CLEAN Very comfortable to rest.

My parents, sister and her children, and my family, and four dogs all stayed here this weekend. We all enjoyed our stay immensely. The rooms were spacious and clean. The staff was kind and attentive. We were in town for a celebration of life, and the hotel felt like a respite from the hard time we were dealing with. Should we be back in Rockford, we will return to this hotel.

Really nicely remodeled and clean. Perfect location! We were traveling with two young kids and it was very family friendly. They accommodated our huge family reunion with ease and class. It was a great experience.

The beds were very comfy, & this hotel doesn't charge a pet fee. When my boyfriend, 2 dogs & I stayed here Aug 22-24, our room was very humid. We had the AC on high, & it still was humid. I have breathing issues, so I wasn't very comfortable. The indoor pool was very small. Pics are deceiving. The free breakfast was awesome! Belgian waffles, eggs, sausage &/or bacon. I also liked the hard-boiled eggs.

Decided to come and stay here on my drive up to Wisconsin from Pa. Booked the room and read so/so reviews online but was not outdated. The halls and artwork of the hotel seem a bit dated but everything else was fantastic. My room was spacious, the beds SO comfortable. The staff I met was friendly. Walls are a little thin and the bathroom could use a little bit of updating, but overall very pleased with the stay.

So my sister had told me that she had booked a reservation at this hotel before we had started the 13 hour trip to it. Upon the name given, I didn't think much of it, thinking that it was some cheap option for an overnight stay. Upon arrival, however, I immediately noted that it had a chic, minimalist, and upscale feel to it. The lobby smelled of sun tan lotion and reminded me of a vacation resort. Following this was the room. It was a one and a half bedroom suite, with myself sleeping on a pull out cot on the couch (I sleep on a firm bed at home, so this was just fine). Overall, the stay so far was fine and I woke early the next morning feeling rested. As for food, the hotel breakfast was free, and the quality was a few notches above that of a Hampton Inn (so rather decent). All in all, a good stay for just being overnight.

Tried to book a room. Talked to the guy on the phone and he was very disrespectful asked to see the manager, he said he was. Asked the Manager to give his name, gave me his name as "Charlie Brown. " Sassed me again. Seriously rude management. That being said I ended up booking anyways because the other options were way worse. Met Mr Brown in person and he was friendly. The rooms were very nice for the price and the breakfast pool and gym we're all very clean and well maintained. Maybe Charlie was just having a bad day when I called. Either way he was nothing but helpful in person.

I love this chain of hotels there the only ones we stay at, but this by far was a horrible experience. For 1 the pool was dirty which was disappointing since it was 110 degrees out. There was black mold in the 4th floor hallway, the elevator got stuck like 4 times. The tub in our room was dirty, and the room smelt like a sweat shop. To make it EVEN WORSE breakfast was a mad house we waited 30 mins for eggs and sausage, and not 1 employee said anything to the kids eating and sneezing all over the waffle grill. So sad cause I travel a lot.

The room was really nice and everything was clean. There was a nice sized pool too. Breakfast was included and everybody at the front desk was very nice.

I don't get the bad reviews. I was really happy. The room was large and had a great couch/sleeper sofa with a built in ottoman. I stayed 2 days and had work to do, so I loved that. The bed was comfy, the blackout curtains were perfect, and it was quiet. I worked late and slept in the first night and I heard nothing and I was on the first floor. When I woke out and went out for coffee, the housekeeping staff were cleaning 3 rooms on my floor, I never heard them. The last hotel I stayed in before this, I checked in late and the employees were screaming and woke me up at 7 and I could hear every room around. This was a pleasure. The people are fantastic and especially the manager KC. You can throw a rock and hit either the walmart or denny's, so it's real convenient location. And if you have dogs, there is a great dog park 1 mile away. I'm going back every time I go to Rockford.

I liked this hotel very much. The people were very friendly and the rooms Estava clean. They also offer free breakfast.

The place was clean and the room was spacious. I was there for work so it was enough for a night as a comfortable and clean place to sleep. I think it would be a good place for people with kids as the rooms are big and children would have to play and run around.

Had a horrible experience here. Staff was rude and the sheets looked like they were used already and the bed was remade. Ultimately checked into a different hotel.

Not recommended. Priced the same as other lovely La Quintas for far less. Settle for it only if you are exhausted. I am a club member. We have stayed at six this trip. On the plus side, here the staff is remarkably friendly and helpful, and the air smells pleasant & clean, no masking air fragrance. As always comfort varies depending upon age. This one is understandably a bit shabby. That said, at least the rooms should be clean. This was an issue here. Our first room was dirty. Thick fluffy dust, a sofa/pullout bed so badly stained i’d Have disposed of it, and sticky bathroom floors. In the second room bed and bath facilities were clean, but again the room was generally dusty and the bathroom floors sticky. Outside there is animal excrement everywhere. A water drainage pond is polluted by pounds and pounds of litter. Facility is surrounded by a number of other hotels.

I give it 5 stars on the room. Clean and a comfortable bed. We loved that it was pet friendly and there was not a fee. The free breakfast was a joke though. If you're going to have eggs, bacon, and sausage don't make them nasty to look at. It didn't even look good… and they weren't good. You would be better off having just a continental breakfast.

Good size room. Main complaint is that we called ahead and reserved a crib for our infant but when we got here they did not have any cribs. So we had to make a makeshift bed out of couch cushions for our baby and I was not too happy.

I stayed here on 2/15/18 because my 6 month old son was having surgery at a Rockford hospital the next morning. Checked in about 7pm that evening. The woman at the front desk wasn't nice to work with. She was not friendly or considerate. When I walked in, she did not greet me, which I thought was rude. She almost acted like I was inconveniencing her. She gave me room keys and didn't explain how to get to my room. So I went and got my husband, baby, and some of our belongings. Went to our room, and it had 2 queen beds. I booked a room with a king bed. So we lugged our stuff back down to the front desk, and I told the same woman my problem. She acted like she didn't know what kind of room she sent me to. So she gives me news keys to a different room. No apologies for the inconveniences to me. The new room she gave us was right across the hall from the elevator and ice machine. She saw we had a baby, so I thought she could have given us a more quiet room. When getting ready in the morning, there was no hair dryer in my room. I had to call the front desk to get one at about 5:30am. This gentleman I spoke with was very nice and brought me a hair dryer right away. I also appreciated they had the breakfast set up early, because we had to leave by 6am to make it to the hospital. So I was able to grab a quick snack.

I often travel for work and I have hotels booked for me by my supervisor so I did not choose this hotel. Stating that I would not choose this hotel on my own after my stay there. Cosmetic issues included: bottom of bathtub was stained, bracket for shower head was hanging off wall, sprinklers were just poking throw holes poorly cut in the ceiling. Amenities complaints: breakfast starts at 6am the whole hotel makes a stampede towards the lobby for this provide meal which goes extremely quickly and when we asked the staff if they had more of the original items provided they simple said nope that was all, also room service is extremely loud carrying on conversations with each other and yelling from room to room for one another. I gave 3 stars because it is still a functioning hotel so it receives a passing grade.

The bathroom was tiny and the house keeping staff was extremely loud. The breakfast was not very good either. This location was updated 2 years ago and was a little nicer than some of the other La Quinta's I've stayed at.

Great stay! I love that this chain doesn't charge pet fees, so when I'm traveling with my cat, he can stay with me without having to pay an extra 30 dollars. The hotel was clearly older, but had been renovated sometime in the recent past. It was clean and I enjoyed my stay. Breakfast in the morning was average hotel breakfast-bagels, toast, waffles, cereal, juice, coffee, etc. Every staff member I encountered was friendly and courteous. Very convienient location off I-90. Will stay again!

It's very nice. It has a wonderful breakfast served every morning and the staff is polite and professional.

It was conveniently located near the highway for a quick place to stay while traveling. Wound up with a room near the elevator so it was a little noisy. The room did have a mini fridge, but the shower we had didn't drain very well. The pool was nice and the fitness center had some cardio equipment and a few dumbbells for a range of options to get a workout in. All the food was individually wrapped at the Continental breakfast instead of using tongs, which seemed a little wasteful knowing that the food available didn't come that way. Quick checkout and easy parking. Free Wi-Fi.

Breakfast was good. Beds comfortable. Room was just big enough for my wife & I and the 4 teenagers. Would recommend.

The room was modern, spacious, and very clean! The hotel had plenty of convenient retail options around it, and a great price compared to others in the area.

The rooms are very nice, roomy and comfortable. Location is great for shopping and dining out. Price reasonable.

For the price, it's certainly not a bad place to stay. I tend to shop for slightly nicer places, but it served the purpose. No room service which was a bummer.

I frequently travel to Rockford on business, and this hotel never disappoints me. Why do I love LA QUINTA? on my list is SAFETY & SECURITY and this hotel scores a 5. AFFORDABILITY-As a small business owner I appreciate the fair pricing. ) VIRTUAL OFFICE — I’m able to use the printer, send faxes, and even borrow white out! Not needing to drive to a printing center increases my productivity & lowers my expenses. NO PET DANDER! I’ve stayed at hotels that appear to be clean, but as soon as I laid on the linen my allergies would flare up. This is the only hotel in Rockford that I’ve found that doesn’t have pet dander lingering in the linen or rooms (at least not on the 3rd floor). The beds are comfortable after a long day of driving and selling. This is the only place that I will stay while in the Rockford area.

It seemed nice in lobby. Clean and updated. Walking to the room the carpets are stained and worn. There's a smell. Once in room it's pretty nice but bathroom doesnt seem like it was cleaned good. The pool has bugs floating n water isn't clean. No hot tub. Wash machine is broken and told the hotel they owed us 1.50. Front desk guy at night is rude and didn't want to bother with us. Rude. There are dogs barking and keeping us awake. I will deal with manager tomorrow and update.

This place is one of the worst hotels I've stayed at. The whole building is extremely noisy at all hours. Only the ground floor has a working ice machine and where other hotels provide free toiletries LA Quinta charges you. The bathrooms are tiny and very few rooms have all the lights working. I was attending a weekly required conference call, and the housekeeping staff barged in with only a knock. No verbal announcement of who it was. Will stay elsewhere in the future.

It's OK for one night near the highway. The rooms are large, and the staff was nice. But the building needs to be spruced up. It was a bit shabby.

This La Quinta in Rockford is an all around good hotel that should satisfy most travelers staying in or passing through the area. The room is well furnished with comfortable beds and is very spacious. With the bathroom, TV, and somewhat functioning fridge, the room is fulfilling of all your needs. I'd stay again.

I have stayed in some nice La Quinta's before, but this is the best one by far. REALLY impressed with this place. Two large, comfortable beds, a sofa, a desk and storage area (with fridge and microwave) seem like WAY more room than what I paid for. If you're staying in Rockford, this place is definitely worth considering. Also easy access from the highway.

One of the nicest La Quinta inns I've been at. Everything is very clean and staff were very friendly and helpful. There was just a lot of construction around the area and a few exits were closed making it difficult to drive to the hotel.

Nice place newley remodeled and a very nice and friendly staff.

Clean and comfortable but no sound proofing at all. We could hear the front desk vacuuming at 1:30am and every conversation in the hallway and lobby all hours of the night. For $150/ni you would hope for better sound proofing. If you do stay here ask to be as far from the front lobby as possible.

Overall, the quality was excellent. They had just opened a few weeks ago (as of 3/2/2016) and were remodeling, so aside from the few dings and dents from remodeling (which you could tell they were steadily working on improving/fixing) the stay was clean, quiet, respectful, and very much worth the price. In a few weeks from said date I would assume all blemishes to be gone.

Please use caution if you have to stay here! My kids stayed here with their aunt and found a crack pipe and other paraphernalia underneath a couch in the room! And when management was confronted about it they did not want to reimburse her for the room. Not to mention the kids were now exposed to drugs! Which we had to then explain to them! Then the manager with the gold teeth got extremely loud and disrespectful with me and my wife when asked about it! CHILD ENDANGERMENT!

Not worthy of the Quality Inn name. Towels are old and shedding. Bed tilted. Shower plumbing was not hooked up properly. I expected better.

This place felt like home. And not in the way you'd expect, I guess. It is in need of updating, the staff did not blow sunshine up my @ss, and I wasn't afraid that my kids were going to ruin anything. It isn't anything spectacular, but if you are on a budget, it's decent for the money. The suite we booked was decent size, and overall clean. But, there were marks on the walls, poorly patched holes, dirty ceilings, peeling wallpaper border, carpeting had runs, the box spring dust ruffle on one of the beds was ripped, and it was obvious they hadn't been washed in quite some time. Advertised as 'two double beds, plus pull out queen' wasn't quite true, as there were no sheets on the sofa bed. Two TVs could be a high point for some, but we found it to be superfluous. The bathroom was clean with the exception of a few dirt marks on the shower. The pool is falling apart — literally — and the chlorine was a bit much, but our kids enjoyed it nonetheless. One thing to say about this hotel is to ask for a "quiet" room. We had a room right near the vending machines and elevator, and we also heard a jacuzzi tub running (and vibrating) above our room. Overall, I think we would stay again. It wasn't an amazing stay but it was okay.

The service is rude especially manager she was mad because I questioned why they charged my card for $167.00 more than what my receipt said. I used room saver coupon but she didn't want to honor it. Also didnt clean room all 3 days we stayed there… only positive pool was open late and area was nice… would never stay there again just because the manager is a total Bi.
