Didn't stay, but rather visited friends, who were staying there. The Inn & Suites must be a great place to stay because this is the destination for my friends' family reunion year after year. And they are very picky. So, given that, I'd recommend staying there while traveling. The staff is very friendly and provide great service.

Call them or stop by even if online it indicates they don't have rooms available. We did and were very happy. Rates were better than other places close by. Hotel looks new. Pet friendly. Hotel room was clean, no stains on furniture or carpet. Free breakfast and Wi-Fi. They had a dedicated staff member for their breakfast who cleaned after tables were used and replenished food. Friendly staff. Close to highway.

Great stay… great staff! I had a question about room rates, so I called the hotel directly rather than booking online as I usually do. I talked to a gentleman named August at the hotel, and he really went above and beyond to help me out with my reservation and did a great job! We were in town for a baseball tournament and had a very nice two night stay. I'd recommend this hotel.

Good rooms. Friendly staff and plenty of parking. Good free breakfast too.

Clean rooms but a bit generic. What caught my attention was their remote control which is made specifically to be able to be cleaned easily and its more hygienic.

Spent the night for a training class at lake land college. The room was clean and the Wi-Fi worked alright, but wasn't great. The breakfast was good, it had cold and hot options. Overall it was a good stay.

Clean and professional staff made our stay exceptional! A big bonus: free breakfast included!

Wonderful staff. I requested a new additional pillow and blanket. He got one gourmet promptly and with a smile too.

Attended a business meeting in one of the conference rooms. The hotel is right off of the highway with easy access to chain restaurants and gas stations.

This hotel was one of the best in the chain. The indoor pool was actually heated nicely, as was the Jacuzzi and stayed open until midnight. I was in town to visit family so I booked the double queen suite which featured a nice little kitchenette and lovely couch and living room area, separate from the beds, which we're large and very comfortable with white cotton down comforters, no hideous bedspreads. Hotel staff we're helpful and unobtrusive. I'll definitely stay again. Cracker Barrel ad lots of stores in very close walking distance if you're a traveler.

Clean but obviously older. Heater did not work as well as it should and is loud. Bed has obvious indentions on each side. No USB plugs.

Stay at the comfort & you won't be disappointed. The maintenance man at holiday inn don't know diddly squat and lazy…

I stay at Holiday Inns regularly when a Marriott is not available. I stay in this particular hotel about 8 times a year, amd have for 3 or 4 years. I am considering trying one of the other hotels in town. This is the second visit where the tub does not drain properly and you find yourself showering in your own filth. And, apparently, they recently installed a new thermostat system that is motion sensored. I set the thermostat at 68 and even when we were in the room it was never lower than 69. When we return to a room after a long day of remodeling, the room was 74 degrees. At night the room goes back to 74 degrees. I called the front desk twice and someome said they would come take a look and no one showed up. I went to the front desk to speak with someone and they said they were sorry but there was nothing they could do. I just paid almost 400 dollars to sleep in a hot room and take a dirty shower and someone be really sorry.

Nice clean room, good service, and convenient location for visiting Eastern Illinois University. The hot tub was out of order but other than that good hotel stay.

Their Wi-Fi sucks. If you need internet I'd stay elsewhere.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean but we were on the second floor and unfortunately we could easily hear people walking above us on the third floor. It was also unfortunate that the ice machine and Whirlpool were out of order. It was easy to get to off of the interstate and it was conveniently located near shops and restaurants. The breakfast was good and the eating area was nice and clean but unfortunately they did not have the pancake machine. All in all I would stay there again.

All of the necessitys are in the room. Wonderful beds. Clean. Friendly staff and those awesome breakfasts. Thank you!

The location was great and rooms were really nice. They were kind of musty but other than that great stay!

Staff is friendly. Hotel is your average Holiday Inn Express. Same tired breakfast offerings. Nothing special. Heated pool and hot tub are nice.

We staying at the HI express (my wife has instilled in me a need to shorten words! ) when we came in for a weekend with the family. Upon entering we were greeted by a very friendly lady who was very knowledgable about the area and the hotel. They also had cookies throughout the day = excellent! The rooms were above average in size w/ a couple queen beds, windows that open (a plus as it's rare anymore) and nice flat screen 32 inch TVs. Standard accompaniments in the room w/ free internet — a must anymore. The workout room was a little lacking, but got the job done. An upright and a recumbent bike were present as well as a treadmill. Enough to keep you busy for a bit. The pool area was very nice and located away from the hotel actions which made it nice that people fresh out of the water weren't tracking pool water all over the hotel. The food in the morning was excellent. The sitting area is ample and the food plentiful. They offered hot options including meat, eggs, and cinnamon rolls as well as plenty of fruit, cereal, yogurt and, the show stopper, do it yourself pancakes with what seemed to be a larger, modified easy bake oven! Overall, this was a great place to spend a couple nights. A step up from many of the other hotels in the area and well worth the price of admission with the internet and breakfast. Coffee served all day made it easy to stay alert at all hours and the staff were all exceptionally friendly.

Clean, comfortable, quiet. Internet is not the best if you have work to do.

Convenient location to visit eastern Illinois University, room was nice other than the hvac system didn't work very well.

A fine example of the brand, perfectly reasonable in all of her guards, although their so called soft pillows could stand to be a little less voluminous. Think of the front sleepers!

Clean and comfortable establishment. The staff is very friendly, and the cost is very reasonable.

My company has meetings or trainings at this location on occassion, so I've only used the conference room and have never stayed here. The conference room is good size, but we always seem to have issues with the room either getting too hot, or too cold. It can also be a bit noisy at times.

Check your room for any damage; I got charge for a dent in the wall. Also an 06/7/2015 a bad storm rolled into town and we got charge for outside damage to the window. Really unhappy with them and they give the chain a bad name. I will never stay at this Holiday INN EVER! Check your room for any damage.

Did not enjoy! Right from check in there was an issue. Floors were wet, they were not marked and we did't see, and unfortunately the newly Graduated daughter "slipped" on wet floor just behind myself as I was checking all of us in. The girl behind counter was told of this by another guest, for my back was turned. Not only did the employee ever even offer an I'm sorry, or are you ok? She didn't seem to like being there as well. I myself work a front desk working a very similar job of a big company, I also hire for these positions. I would "never" hire a gal like that, to work for my Front Desk job. The next morning the same gal was also doing check out, and not once did she ask how my daughter was or tell us to have a good day, did we enjoy our stay? nothing. She is the reason we will " Never recommend" your hotel to others. I have already shared this story with many, and I see hundreds of people everyday. Sad, because your hotel came highly recommended by others.
