It was decent for the price we paid. For a similar price, there was a bigger room, bigger tub, and better breakfast at the one in Marion, IL (a few hours south). But if I'm not comparing the two, it was more than sufficient. Got only 3 stars because the breakfast could have been a little better (the eggs were rubbery). I ate around 7 am, about an hour after they opened it. The quality of the breakfast matters to me because eating free at the hotel saves me time and money when traveling.

Hot tub not hot. No fridge or microwave in the room. Otherwise it's nice.

The morning staff very nice Natalie was amazing. The manager was very nice. Would stay there again. Its a pet friendly hotel.

Nice rooms and really good free breakfast! The hotel is right next to the highway but did not hear any traffic due to orientation N/S. Gave a 3 star for smokey smell from before hotel went smoke free.

Air conditioner quit through the night. It's not a big deal for some but very big deal for me as I have breathing problems. My family and I woke up and it was at least 80 degrees in the room. Cleanliness I'll give it a 5 out of 10. If I ever stay in Mattoon again I don't think my family or I would choose to stay here again.

Ok in a pinch. Staff is best thing. Hotel itself needs much to be desired. Extreamly noisy. Walls shook when neighbors shut thier doors. Kids running upstairs came through way too annoyingly. Odd smell in room. Maybe from pool? No fridge. TV remote barely worked. Looked like a sex toy. Kinda creepy. Really nice shower. Nice free basic breakfast. Very good free coffee 24 hours a day. Pool and hot tub. Looked very clean but did not have time to use. Ample parking. Very close to lots of places to dine shop. Again all the staff we met we're very helpful friendly and professional.

So Im not one to review hotels or any as a matter of fact but I was enjoying my stay at first and the room looked clean. Then I got in the bed and I notice this little black spect and it was at that time I saw 4 more black spects and they were moving around. So I got up and turn on the light and sure enough! BED BUGS! I have never been so pissed off and put on edge in a hotel. I had to switch rooms and Im just going to end up sleeping in my rental. I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

Quiet clean and easy to get to. The shower floor/wall was made of the slickest material known to man. Watch that first step.

Good size room with an indoor pool and hot tub. The pool area smelled heavily chlorinated though. Front desk staff very helpful.

Pleasantly surprised. The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. I don't remember who checked us in but he was awesome. The area seemed decent. We are happy with our last minute decision on staying here after a long drive.

You can't beat this hotel for the price they charge. The room was clean, comfortable, and spacious. Breakfast was also better than several more expensive hotels I've stayed in.

Room was nice, clean and neat. Bathroom very clean with plenty of shampoos, tp, Kleenex.

Great service, clean hotel, friendly staff. Breakfast is decent, some healthy items like freah fruit and yogurt. Rooms are avarge for these hotels, comfy bed, air works decent size bathroom. I have been coming here for years a couple times a year. Good location, plenty to eat and shop around.

Clean and comfortable. We stopped here on our cross-country road trip. The front desk worker that checked us in was very friendly. The room smelled clean, the bed was comfortable and felt like a newer mattress. The breakfast included was very nice with many options.

Toilet ran all night wouldn't have been that bad except the bathroom door would not close because it is hung wrong. Shampoo and conditioner bottles had been used previously and not replaced. Room temperature was set to 54 degrees. Took two hrs of running the heater to get room up to normal temp. Diesel engine ran out side our window all night. Random dog and children running around parking lot after midnight. I did not enjoy my stay.

From Algonquin IL. Loved our stay, neat, clean, very friendly. Very quiey, good breakfast with lots of choices, hot tub and pool, very friendly staff and very helpful. Everyone always had a smile. We felt very welcome. We will recommend this to others. Thanks for a wonderful experience. We will be back!

The hotel itself was nice. My room was clean. But every time I needed help, which ended up being more than it should've been, I had to stand at the front desk for 10-15 minutes to even be noticed or acknowledged by anyone. Check in took that long. Then went to my room for the first time & the key didn't work. Had to go back & the same thing happened. Then later that night when I came back to my room the key didn't work again, had to stand for awhile waiting again. Great nice cheap hotel, but needs a bell at the desk to ding, or the door to ring when someone walks in so they know someone is there. Because there was never a time where someone was sitting there.

I come here a few times a year for work for the past few years and I always have a great stay. Everyone that works here is super nice and accomodating. Everything is always clean. The gym and pool are small but very efficient and always working. Breakfast is great and they have fresh cookies out in the evening. I always enjoy my stay here!

Accommodations are adequate for our needs, play pens provided for my twins. Employees are very polite and helpful.

The rooms were well kept and the hot tub was superb.

The staff are always nice and willing to help you if something goes wrong.

Most everything about this motel was adequate. The room was clean, it was fairly quiet … in fairness, I did have a truly wonderful sleep, partly because of exhaustion, but the bed was quite comfortable. Staff answered questions, and were not rude, but were not overly friendly or helpful. Breakfast room was too small, not enough tables, and the food was, again, adequate. Nothing special. Milk was warm. Not a bad place to stay for the money … but certainly nothing special.
