It was not the first time that we stayed here. Is cheap, comfortable, quite, have microwave, refrigerator, air conditioner and TV. We stayed here just to visit my stepdaughters so is only to rest. One the things that I notice this time was that the cleaning people doesn’t know English but they tried to help. The second day they don’t clean and when I call reception the stupid guy told me that they don’t do that every day, that I need to throw the towels outside my door so they know I need more and I said now because I feel like ghetto. I’m not going to do that. Next day in the morning We went in person to reception and talk to a lady and told us that, that’s wrong. They were supposed to clean everyday, she apologized, sent somebody to clean and replaced towels and she will bring the situation to management because that was wrong. Definitely we recommend Motel 6.

The room was suppose to be non-smoking but the room and halls smelled like smoke. We purchased an air deodorizer to clean the air. The staff member on the day we arrived was not helpful in providing information about certain things such as hair salon and other things to do in the area. Did not even seemed interested in helping us. When we asked for a foam cup or other items that we needed, we were told it was unavailable and we know it was available because of the morning coffee supplied. Most places I know it is a motel but they supply shampoos and combs. A person can tell from these reactions from staff that it was a cheap place and for the price I really cannot complain. My point is staff could have been more helpful on getting these items. Overall it was clean and our beds were changed everyday. Security at the motel was also good. I loved that it had wood floors and it had a shuttle to the Naval graduation however did not use it because it only could take a few at a time but at least they tried to be of service to the naval families staying at the hotel.

It was a very welcoming stay it was very nice thank you so much motel 6 waukegan Illinois we were happy to stay there our son graduated us navy boot camp thanks again.

Do not stay here! It is dirty, disgusting, and smells. We checked in on May 17th. Got our room and it was dirty. Hair all over the floor, burn holes all over the sheets and bedding, the bathroom towels were dirty and had pubic hair on them. I went to the front desk and they gave me another room. The new room had burn holes all over the bedding, smelled like pee, air conditioner was broken, the sheets were full of hair and the bathroom towels were dirty and full of hair. I complained to the manager and he basically said I was lying. That he had been the manager since '01 and had never had a complaint like this! It looks nothing like their pictures. There were also prostitutes walking around. Forget the pool too because it is filled with concrete. Needless to say we left and went to another hotel. This place was horrific. You would be better off sleeping in your car. It deserves ZERO stars but would not let me post unless I gave it 1 star.

The hotel room was clean. Staff was efficient and friendly. I absolutely loved that the floors weren't carpeted because it made them feel cleaner than some hotel floors. The air in the room was stuffy when I first checked in, but once I got the air going, it felt very nice. If I didn't have the fan on constant, the noise from the hall may have been very noticeable (I could hear it from the bathroom), but with the fan going, I couldn't hear any disturbances from the hall. The location is also great, just down the street from Six Flags.

Staff was extremely helpful. Especially the night time manager. The room was clean. Needs a little update but well cared for. It was close to the Naval base so I could visit my son. Because we were there for the graduation of my so from boot camp to a Sailor they had lots of info to help us get our tickets and shuttles to the base.

Very friendly staff. Rooms are newly updated but it's an old building. Doors and entry to room are barely wide enough to get wheelchair in. There is NO ELEVATOR and no wheelchair ramp outside. This place is not handicap accessible.

The walls and ceiling were thin and you could here voices and TVs from the next rooms and people walking above. Smoke detector in room was not attached to ceiling. Also, for some weird reason the TV in my room turned on by itself randomly 3 times during the first night. Was the room haunted? The TV thing did not happen the next two nights. Weird?

Terrible service! Bed bugs! I went here because of the price first of all, but the saying goes you get what you pay for. Right when I came into the room I checked for bed bugs on the mattress and there was. They we're on the sheets and even under the sheets. When I went to the front desk to ask for a refund the guy told me that he couldn't and that his manager has to approve it, so I said ok call your manager. As I was at the front desk two more people came into the lobby and had the same issue and even had a picture of multiple bed bugs. I just went through this same issue with another place but got a refund and even there insurance settled a refund and even property damage and bodily harm money for their problem and we're sorry about the issue that came about to me at their establishment. Unlike this place the manager told me I won't get a refund and that house keeping would do a check to see if their was and to confirm my accusation. I told the manager I had money to go anywhere else and I would be on the streets if I didn't get a refund to go somewhere else. I also told him I don't feel safe sleeping in any of these rooms because it wasn't just us that was complaining. He told me that he could put me in another room and that's it. I told him I don't feel safe here and certainly wouldnt have a good night sleep just knowing there could possibly be bed bugs in another room since there was us and another couple complaining about the issue.

I wasn't initially excited about staying at a Motel 6 due to past experiences but I'm happy I did. The staff was friendly, it was clean, and it did not smell like animals like other Motel 6's. I would highly recommend this location if you're looking for a budget friendly place to stay.

Very bad place to stay at. Had reservations… got checked in… went to the room that was unclean and looked like someone was sleeping in the bed… called front desk right away. Got checked into another room… stayed for an hour and seen a big ass cock roach looking straight at me. Talked to front desk and manager. Got switched to another room… Wasted 4 hours in and out of rooms that were dirty and nasty. Worst way to spend money and time. Would not recommend this place to anyone…

I recently visited this Motel and I was very pleased! Rooms were exactly what pictures deplayed! Very friendly staff and atmosphere. Shuttle free to and from graduation! Excellent service, thank you.

The room was clean. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The heating unit just about ran us out of the room to the point where we had to turn on the A/C at night to sleep and even it didn't work very well. The refrigerator froze everything we put in there, even on the bottom shelf. The soap came in a little plastic bag and looked like a well used bar of soap that had just been repackaged.

The room was basic, but overall pretty nice. It was clean and smelled fresh. Could have used a second night stand and more plugs. The hallways kind of smelled like pipe tobacco and lemons. Not the best. But for the price, I was satisfied. The shuttle service to the Graduation Ceremony was very much appreciated. And Ray the cab driver was awesome!

Very friendly staff and helpful with my needs. Better than what I expected for the price and the name of the the motel. I have never reserved anything less than a three star hotel before but I was in a pinch and needed to be close to the navel base. I was impressed with the quality I received for the price. I enjoyed my stay and the staff.

The first night stay was horrible. Screaming neighbors in the room next to ours, smoke filled rooms. The next 3 nights in the front building were better, however the toilet was broken the entire time. Ran all night and woke us up. I needed to extend for an additional night past my reservation and it cost me $20 more for that room. The day clerk, who was the only reason we stayed on there (Ken you are the best! ) said he would credit me back the money for this. Has not happened yet but I know Ken will take care of it. Then last night a week later, my credit card was charged for a night at this hotel. I had cancelled my reservation for this week and made it for last week because the Navy graduation date for my son had changed. Still I was charged… called and the awesome Night manager (cant remember your name right now but you are also awesome! ) says he has cancelled the charge and reservation. So, I cant hate the people, didn't love the place.

Nice room but better customer service. In brief, while there I experienced a medical emergency. Ken was the best. He sat with me till help arrived, secured my belongings and ensured they got to my hospital intact. He went above and beyond.

When I 1st called to make reservations, I was told there was a shuttle I could use for $15 a trip. I thought it was reasonable. When I actually stayed I was informed there is NO shuttle. The night clerk tried giving me his friends Lyft info. Another guy said it was a taxi and they charged $50 to take me any where. Imagine my dismay when I realized I was stuck in a new city with no reasonable way to get around. Plus whenever I asked for directions I was told they didn't know how to get there. When I asked what things to go do I was told there's nothing to do in this city. House keeping barely understood English, though when they cleaned it was very well done. I had to ask for vending machines. I found menus laid out to order food. I think if the front desk took a little more time to provide some customer service your hotel would be great. With the way it is now? No.

They say this place is newly renovated which I couldn't tell it had ever been renovated. It was not the best, but also not the worst. We slept on top of the sheets and brought our own blankets. The bathroom door handle didn't fit in the hole of the door, the bathroom door didn't fit the frame, the adjoining door looked as if it had been kicked in. They had the dresser across the door. The microwave in the room didn't work. The fridge was half frozen. The air conditioning actually worked which was nice. Wood floors which helped. The parking lot had a lot of people who were really shady. You could tell they were doing/selling drugs. However the new manager seems to be great and cleaning up the place. Overall I probably wouldn't stay there again. Go down the street a few miles and it gets a lot nicer.

My Air BnB cancelled on me last minute and I needed a place to stay, For the price the rooms were well kept and clean. The staff was very friendly and even suggest some wonderful places to eat. The room was very cozy and was perfect for the price. Highly recommend staying here.

Stood a few days ago. It was a great stay. Tons of parking, shopping areas, plazas, food, its a great tourist spot! I would say one of the best hotels in the area. Front desk staff he was very kind and answered all questions and made me feel at home with his smile! Great place, cant wait to come back!

It is a very affordable motel close to Great Lakes recruit training command navy graduation. The people there were very nice and very friendly housekeeping was great. I would highly recommend staying there because it was Inexpensive. If you're going out for the Navy graduation you're going to end up spending a lot of money this is one thing you don't have to spend a lot of money on. This is the second time I stayed at this hotel for a graduation I will probably be staying there again for the next one.

They were very helpful in finding the room I was delivering to. And clean.

I have pictures. Doors are broken, beds squeak, refrigerator leans, smoke detector hanging out of the ceiling a pool that is closed due to the weather but only reopens at check out time. Total crap. I want a refund!

The room was clean and it was quiet. There wasn't much provided in the room but overall very clean.

Okay seriously this motel is super gross! Blankets and sheets look like they rarely get changed, there was hair all on the sheets! The towels they are always low on and some have make up still on them! We stayed there only because we had navy graduation to attend to! Oh lets not forget the dam prostitution that is going on there! I do NOT recommended this place!

Everything was dirty and old the peephole was dirty the water faucet was old the bed blankets and sheets were old and had an overused rough feel to them probably more than a decade old the bed itself had dirty marks and one of the blankets had holes in it. It is a very cheap motel as others said lots of shady people. One of the doors was also not working so we had to go around the building to get to the main lobby they used a rag to keep the door open.

Bedbugs, the staff is very rude, the white lady manager is racist, and the cleaning ladies are shady and dont speak english, I honestly hated this place everybody is rude, and its overpriced! 0 stars if I could.

We stayed here because we were doing a two day visit to Great America. The location was perfect to do so. The room was very comfortable. The woman who checked us in was courteous and helpful.

We came in for Navy graduation. We didn't really know the area very well, and coming from a small town we were pretty apprehensive about where to stay. It was only about 5 minutes from the base so we were there in no time. One of their attendants Mike was great, welcomed us, and followed up towards the end of our stay to make sure we were having a good time. The halls were clean, and the rooms were nicer than they looked on line. The pool was clean. Sure it was noisy, but there were a lot of people in town for the ceremony.

Stayed here with my partner. Was the worst experience ever. So first off we were staying here until our apartment was ready. The owner is a jerk. Housekeeping is a joke. They gave dirty looks every time they came to clean the room. They say they are pet friendly BUT housekeeping cant seem to handle a little cat fur. We swept our floor every day and kept it clean. The only people that were amazing was the manager and the 2 guys we had seen at the main desk. Would not recommend this to anyone.

I will never stay at this Motel again after finding out what types of people rent these rooms. You have your range of drug dealers to prostitutes. There is active prostitution going on at this location. Who can have peace of mind knowing that there are people like that who could possibly be renting the room next door to you.

For the price I couldn't beat it. Remembering it is a 2 star motel. Had a pleasant experience, the staff were all friendly and helpful. No coffee makers in room but I stumbled down at 4:00 a. M. And the guy put the coffee on immediately for me, and it was good :) Also liked the shuttle to the Naval base. Overall pleasant experience for the money spent. :).

I stayed at this motel a couple weeks back on a drive thru to Wisconsin. The motel met my expectations for a budget motel. Room was clean, had enough towels bed wasnt bad. However, I suspect this might be a place for local couples to go. I got stuck next to a couple that was pretty loud and the situation was made worse by the paper thin walls and the headboard slamming into the wall. Throughout the day into the evening and again in the morning! Again, motel was not bad but you might find yourself next some young couple. Probably not a place to take the kids.
