This is an ok hotel. They're remodelling so the pool and fitness room were out. The beds are comfortable but House keeping was a hit or miss when staying a few days, but the room was very clean at check in. Had a non smoking room but the bathroom always smelled of smoke. I will never stay there again.

I stayed there almost a month and the room was comfortable but some of the cleaning staff I had a problem with, they don't want to clean my room on the weekends? And told me they only give clean towels and collect garbage if your not leaving. I had to always was there when they did clean my room to make sure they cleaned everything. There were only 3 cleaning ladies who did do there jobs correctly. I had a non smoking king and it I could smell the smoke from the smoking rooms below. The pool was out my entire stay, the breakfast was good wish they had more variety or switch up the selections on some days but it was good.

Ever wonder what sleeping in hell would be like? If you're interested in having that experience, stay at this place. Apparently the hotel is going through renovations, but that does not excuse the poor customer service from front desk employees, dirty rooms, broken AC, and missing items from the rooms. Our room felt like a sweat lodge all night long even with the AC turned up to full blast. It did nothing but blow hot air. Only half the lights in the room worked. There were stains of some kind on the counters and tables. It looked like the bedding hadn't even been washed or even changed from the people previously in the room. Damage to just about every piece of furniture and decor in the room. I don't know how this place charges more than 20 bucks a night. I don't know if it is poor management, employees that don't care, or this place really is just that old… All I know is, I will never stay in a hotel by the same name again. Absolutely unacceptable!

Great experience. Came from out of town and I felt right at home. Lovely receptionist and polite manager. Beds were comfortable. Cant wait to stay again.

The hotel wa very clean and bed was comfortable. The prices was reasonable and the lady at the front desk name Tricia was very very helpful and kind. 4 stars instead of 5 because there is always room for improvement! thanks Baymont.

This hotel is very dirty. It stinks. Really unacceptable. Nothing like the pictures. Do not waste your time if you are traveling and looking for a comfortable place to stop for the night as we are. Will never stay here again!

I booked a room through orbitz for this hotel a week ago because it looked decent enough just to crash in overnight on the way to Chicago. Sorry to say when I arrived on Saturday the hotel was not even close to the way they presented themselves on orbitz. Very run down and dirty. The entire lobby, hallway and room smelled of both cigarette and marijuana smoke. The pool was out of order also. When we went into the room it was dirty and the smoke smell was too overwhelming to sleep in. We took the key back to front desk and told them we would not be staying. We did not spend the night and now the hotel management will not refund my money because of their “policy” even though their property was not as presented. I have them amble time to refund my money before I put this review on here but they have chosen to blow me off!
Do not stay at this gross hotel!

I will never stay there again. Lobby furniture very worn out and need throwing away. The room was not very clean at all. We reserved a non smoking room and it smelled like a ashtray in our room. And the bathroom I don’t even want to speak on it. Please shut it down because it need upgrading. If I had to rate them with 5 stars I would give them a half of a star not even one!

I made reservations online when I got to the hotel they told me my room was over booked and will upgrade me to a suite for $10 more which I feel like I shouldn’t have to pay $10 more because of they mistake it took him 20 mins to get me booked again the bathroom light was not working but overall the room was nice and clean.

This Baymont needs to be shut down! from the nasty furniture and rug in the lobby to workers around this dump… checked in got up to my room and I thought someone was playing the lock on the door was broken, the shower curtain and rod was hanging buy wallpaper and the computer chair look like puppies was chewing on it… the smell was unreal like someone been pissing in a corner, checked out of that POS and had to get a room in ohara due to all the rooms being booked for the holiday…

I left a one star because I couldn’t go any lower! As soon as I exited the highway I immediately was ready to change my mind. The hotel is located in a very bad area. As soon as I entered the hotel the lobby was an immediate turn off. It was dirty and smelly. Upon checking in I notice a pool closed sign. I feel it’s very misleading to advertise having a pool and hot tub and knowing it’s been down for months. I immediately cancelled my reservation and booked somewhere else there was no way me and my family was staying there.

I have never went into a hotel room to get smacked out by the smell of piss, I usually don't make reviews but this place here is terrible I took pictures that's crazy but can't post them. The worst ever.

Very nice hotel everything was well kept look like brand new. Very enjoyable overnight stay and then didn't break the pocketbook. It was close to some restaurants that were very good and close to some gas stations that had good prices for the area. And it was easy and an easy out which is always nice. I'll stay here again the next time I go that way.

Cockroaches and very dirty found used lipstick and lighters in my non smoking room when I asked for my money back they refused because I moved the bed to find bugs which I did. Very disappointed.

2017 the worst place to stay! we booked 2 nights and after staying the first night my wife and I decided to get a room somewhere else due to terrible conditions and rude staff. upon asking the manager for a refund for the unstayed night due to a terribly dirty room and disgusting pool conditions… she listened and agreed to give us the refund for the unstayed night we left and a week later we were charged for the full stay!?! worried and stunned I called but the front desk attendants wouldn't take our calls! we called baymonts corperate offices and got a full refund about 3 days later baymont looked into the stay and took our side! please please! consider all reviews before you stay here!

Me and my wife stay there for 3 days. This hotel is best. Peoples who work in front desk are very friendly. If we go chicago again we will stay in same place.

The stay was pleasant and quiet. Staff was very professional. I would recommend to others and stay again.

Don't waste your money for 400.00 they tried to give me a room with a broke lock, no gym, shelf in the bathroom was coming down, the jacuzzi was in peices.

I give this place 0 stars! I had the most ridiculous interaction with this hotel possible. My wife booked this hotel on 4/12 for Friday the 13th from Hotwire. We headed out on Friday morning and arrived at the hotel early in the morning long before check in time as we wanted to see if the had anything open we could check in early. Upon arriving at the hotel the place smelled of stale smoke and mold. The pictures on hotwire are a misrepresentation of the actual current state of the hotel. My wife and brother-in-law had to use the bathroom and I decided to walk down the opposite way to look at the pool. The place was really run down and long overdue for repairs. There was water stains in the ceiling, wall paper and paneling coming off the wall and the pool was a bit scary due to the surroundings. I didnt feel like contracting any deseases so we all discussed that we were not staying at this hotel. After a grand total of 5 minutes being in the hotel the man behind the desk didnt even so much look in our direction but instead sat on a chair against the back wall and played on his phone. We walked outside to call hotwire and cancel our resevation. They told me that they would be unable to give me my money back but would upgrade our room. I told them that I was uninterested in an upgrade and only wanted my money back. They told me there was nothing they could do for me and I would have to wait until after checkin.

Very bad experience book from a week before asked for two-bed room in front of ALA pool when I arrived I said Q Notaenia rooms front of the pool and also two beds available so I gave a room on a third floor that my daughters could not breathe the smell of cigarril It and marijuana so strong that there was then the bathroom was broken not Serbian shower I had to go to demand a change of room and in that other room more or less but also stink well bad the rooms and tenants had Q in a room seemed crazy screaming and running Through the hallways I did not let sleep I had a terrible experience I don't think I return to that hotel. If you can tell hotel. Dogs barking The pool OMG I don't want to keep telling them but it's not a good place to stay with the family. My daughters mounted on an elevator q have q late as much in opening had people smoking the most normal Q can not be normal in that place but not for me. I think Q is a very large disrespect Q fumen reeks of smoke throughout the hotel.

This place has to be from a horror movie, everything is all bad I only booked this place for my children on spring break for the pool, but it’s nothing like a hotel it’s more of a motel and I can’t even say that because even a motel gaves you blankets. This place has some of the most worst drug users walking around plus prostitution, the second floor like the walking dead no kidding. The walls are filthy the employees walking around with no uniform playing rap music on their phones it took days just to get a fitted sheet on the bed, they gave me two flats and when I asked I was told they didn’t have any. Bathroom looks like the gas station bathroom broken shower rod, burns on the tub and toliet from people using drugs or smoking cigarettes and it has a vent fan that sounds like a lawn mower, phones don’t work, floors disgusting, mirrors need cleaning the elevators is so nasty and looks like something from the 35th street projects, now for the pool area the hot tub looks like it has some kind of dangerous bacteria floating in it looks dirty and greasy with a dirty ring around it, the pool was super cold. When I brought all these things to the guy at the front desk his explanation was they are under renovation which is a lie I read review on this “motel” dating back to 2013 and everybody was saying the same thing about their experience so to me, nothing is being done at all because that 5years ago and this place is more ran down.

This place is absolutely disgusting! Doesn't look anything at all like the pictures. The pool and hot tub were gross. The room hadn't been vacuumed. Someone was smoking marijuana in the hallway when we came in. We stayed because everything else was booked. Do not stay here!

Clean rooms and wonderful staff especially Arsh whenever I needed help or ask any questions he was there to accommodate me. He made me feel very comfortable as well as the housekeepers and the other staff this hotel is within almost any budget and excellent customer service.

Baymont Inn & Suites is a very decent hotel, comfy beds and clean room. Breakfast was super. I'm here on business, would not think of bringing my little girl to this area.

From front desk to house keeping, are always polite courteous and understandable… always let me sleep over never complains when I come to desk late to pay due too overslepping… I will always stay and would love to revisit.

I will never go to another place like this again they charged me twice for a two day stay. And I never stayed there. The bottom line is that they don't deserve 1 star.

Terrible spot! Nothing like the website! Its the hood hotel! Wanted my money back but they refused! All old fashion on the inside along with Bad water pressure and bathroom fans sound like people fighting when you flip on the light switch! 1 of the most terrible spots I have ever been in!

We had a whole crew stay here for a week and the staff was super helpful. They worked with us best they could with short notice and ave is a great rate on the room. Will definetly stay here again.

I wish I could give this place a big fat "0", bad service and no blankets! all we had on the bed was a top/bottom sheet. When asked about blanket or spread they said non was available. The breakfast was BAD! The only hot food sausage and gravy looked like it was in the pot for a day or so. I paid $75 through priceline! RIP OFF! Express deal. 2 and half stars. Beware.

Shoddy and dated paint job. Slow staff who didn't seem to knowledgeable at what they were doing. Customer service just really subpar. Not worth the prices they charge you. You're better off grabbing a cheaper deal with Motel 6 and getting much better quality.

Biggest changes: CANNOT USE COMPUTER PAST 10:00 P. M. And dining room & conference room off-limits after breakfast for entire day & night so no seating after hours except couch and loveseat in lobby area. Ice machine unplugged by least 12:00 a. M. Definitely NOT the Baymont experience one is accustomed to. More akin to a quick stopover destination. Facility needs minor repairs. Rooms need minor repairs such as a cracked sink bowl. Spider webs on ceiling corners and walls. Chipped paint and tiny holes in walls were pictures once hung years ago when owned by Caucasian management. Now owned & managed by FRIENDLY, adept India individuals. Decent housekeeping, plenty linen & towels upon request. Laundry machine broke down. Poor plastic quality coffeemakers, ice buckets, etc. Definite change in customerbase: More lower-income African-Americans and Caucausians.

The staff a management was so nice a Pleasant it was a awesome stay. I had been to acuple hotels a this one was the cleanest. A friendliness. I recommend to any one.

Do not stay here. I stayed in the THIRD FLOOR room 326, on August 19th, 2017 to August 20th. They have BEDBUGS. And when you report it to them they tell you that a "department" came in to investigate it and upon further investigation they determined that they did not find any bed bugs even though I showed them the actual bugs WITH PICTURES. THEN to add insult to injury they did not give our money back after paying to sleep with bugs that they knew about. I say they knew about it because there was a family on the FIRST FLOOR that were outside complaining about the same issue. And when the "Investigation was complete they informed us that they have no control over what people bring into the room and that we could've possibly brought them in. This is not made up, my fiance and I are two very clean individuals and we do not have any kind of infestation or bug problem in our own home. So they were VERY dishonest and unclean and I would NOT suggest you spend your money there.

Front desk was polite. Showed us the room. The bathroom was filthy with cigarette burns on the edge of the tub. The carpet had mold and there was a hole behind the bathroom door. There was no blanket on the bed and the room stunk like cigarettes even though it's a "non smoking" room. The surrounding neighborhood was also unsafe as there is an apartment accross the street with people just hanging outside. If the rooms were free I'd still think twice.

I wish I could give this place 0 Stars. Don't stay here. I've stayed at this location several times for work. Most the time it smells heavily of Marijuana. This last visit It took me 45 minutes to check in because I was assigned to the wrong room. Then because of this issue I was given a "random" room check phone call at 4am. Never staying here again and no neither will anyone from my company. Please. Choose another.

I luv this place. Nina is very nice and professional. I had my Daycare Prom here. It was beautiful. This place is awesome. I come back every year!

This is a DUMP! The first thing we noticed was the air conditioner didn't work and we were told there weren't any more rooms. We were traveling and was very tired so we decided to just open the window. After we decided to stay we went back upstairs only to see that the room had a musty smell, the hall reaped of the smell of smoke, and the bedding was very nasty. There weren't any blankets on the bed and the ones in the closet looked as if they hadn't been washed in weeks. Omg and the bathroom was the Worst! The toilet was very nasty and the bath tub looked like someone had walked in/on it with shoes on. And the breakfast lady didn't use gloves and every time I saw her she had a spray bottle and towels but she wasn't in the breakfast area. This place needs to be condemned! We have stayed at other Baymont hotels before and this most certainly doesn't hold up to that name! Just a piece of garbage!

I have stayed at this location several times this year the staff is great the hotel is great don't believe everything you read on the internet the staff is great John took great care of me and my family every time we stayed here I would like to thank the Baymont staff for a wonderful stay.

BED BUGS So I checked into this hotel yesterday. There were loud children everywhere in the lobby and down the halls. The gentleman checked me in was polite. Around 5 am I woke up itching profusely. I had huge bites all over my body. I notified the front desk and the gentleman said he'd switch my room. When I go down to lobby this wasn't the same gentleman that had checked me in. He was rude and poorly dressed sporting a baseball cap. This goes to show how unprofessional he was! He tried to say it could be spiders. (NO these are BED BUGS! ) He wouldn't give me information on how to contact management. I told him they should partially compensate me for my stay. He said that wasn't going to happen. That said management couldn't be reached on a Sunday. He said accounting was closed. He doesn't have a contact anyone who could make any possible changes. I am very appalled at how he handled me. I have never had an experience like this at any other hotel. I was treated poorly and felt very uncomfortable. I didn't even want a different room for fear of it would have bugs also. DO NOT CHECK IN HERE Unless you are into weed smoke, loud children, and BUGS!

This place has BED BUGS! Very dirty and smells horrible. The worst hotel ever. Management was very unprofessional and not so helpful. This place should be closed down.

Horrible Experience, the hotel smelled like weed everywhere! Beds were lumpy, and sheets were dirty, will never recommend this hotel to anyone! I prefered it when it first opened, now it just seems ghetto to me. The lights next to the bed did not work.

Location is difficult to navigate on foot at times; right next to a highway intersection… Rooms are solid… Breakfast is okay; would like more variety (fruits, breakfast pastries) ;… Front desk is always helpful.

PLEASE BE AWARE OF THE BED BUGS, I stayed at this hotel on Nov 9th and checked out on Nov 10thh, This was the worst stay I ever experienced. 80% of my body was bitten by bed bugs, I wasn't aware that I was bitten all over my body by bed bugs to me and my husband was driving home. The first sign was my entire body had began itching, The next thing was I ended up in the emergency room. I called the hotel to make them aware of my hospital visit and they was so rude and unprofessional. Than I called Expedia to also make them aware of everything and they was awesome. Expedia also called the hotel and asked to speak to the GENERAL MANAGER about the problem and he was also rude to Expedia. ATTENTION EVERYONE PLEASE NEVER STAY AT THE BAYMONT INN CALUMET CITY, My body is badly bitten and my entire body is burning from the allergic reaction from the bed bugs. This entire hotel need to be put under quarantine, I only rated this one star cause this review page would"nt let me send my post without it, but I am rating this with a poor, poor 0 with a hospital visit and a bill.

The worst motel experience I have ever had! From what seemed like transgender prostitutes in the lobby to the snarky manager to the NASTY rooms… HORRIBLE experience! We had reserved 6 rooms (for a wedding party). One of the rooms had a remote control, food crumbs, and body hair IN THE BED! One of the rooms had food and body hair in a chair! One of the rooms had pubic hair in the bathtub! ONE ROOM (AFTER having the sheets changed, due to nastiness) THEN HAD A USED CONDOM ON THE FLOOR UNDER A CHAIR WHEEL! DO NOT book your stay here! Worst service ever!
