My husband and I stayed here for Gen Con — I wish there were minus stars because even one star is too much. The staff was wonderful and they deserve five stars, my one hope is that they leave and find jobs in places that actually value their work. This hotel was not prepared for the influx of visitors arriving for the convention. The rooms were overbooked, key codes didn't work, they had no towels or pillows, no cups in the room or shampoo, ice and soda machine were not working, pool was covered and closed, the breakfast area had been closed for several months, carpets needed a good cleaning, locks were busted off doors, and the overall condition of the hotel was poor. We left a night early because of this — losing a day's worth of convention time. Don't stay here — keep driving.

This place does not even meet a one star. Filthy. Nasty. Smelly. Upon arrival, the front desk did not have one of my two rooms, giving me a key to an already occupied room. Finally obtained my second room an hour and a half later. First room was smokey, full of flies, and dirty. Second room was nasty! Wads of hair on the floor (right next to the trash can), smelled of cigarettes and weed, filthy floor — complete with toe nails and old food — and was without any amenities. The staff were seen smoking while going in and out of rooms. I cleaned my own room… This hotel has no towels, no soap (the "cleaning lady" took my used soap from the shower and did not replace it), no pillowcases, no bedding (one flat sheet on the bed), and no hospitality. We bought pillows, towels, glade plugins, and fly strips and made it tolerable. Please condemn this hole.

Absolutely and completely horrendous. Stayed as part of a group and they cancelled all of our rooms after we checked in and put stuff in them. Rooms are broken with spiders and stains, lights don't work, everything looks like it's on the verge of breaking completely. Do not stay here. Period.

Good 4 a place to stay due to work. Not impressed as a vacation hotel. If you have to stay in town for your job fine. Fridge, coffee etc.

The room was clean, but that's about all I can say for it. Despite being a non-smoking hotel, the room smelled like it had been a smoking room for 10 years. I didn't fit under the shower head. The sheets weren't big enough for the matress. The door lock was broken. But at least it was clean and better than sleeping in the car. The staff was pleasant though mostly indifferent. The continental breakfast was well stocked, but low quality. Would not recommend.

Not acceptable even for a cheap alternative. One of the deadbolts in my room door decided to stop working one night in. After coming back to my room after a long and hot day at the speedway, my room key card decided to stop working, so I had to go back to the front desk to get that fixed. Sink and tub were slow to drain, meaning that attempts to take showers quickly turned into baths. TV did not even have ESPN, which should be a basic TV option, meaning I had to go out to a bar to watch anything on there. I had to go to the front desk to get plastic cups and shampoo, as they were not in my room; the hotel manager had to scrounge around to even get me shampoo. Also, there were no spare rolls of TP in my room either. Plus, the internet connection was one of the worst that I have ever had in an hotel room. I have stayed in off brand motels that were able to provide the basics better than this Super 8.

The staff was friendly, but the room was a non-smoking room and there were cigarette butts on the floor behind the door. The bathroom had not been properly cleaned… there was mold on the shower curtain and some nasty stuff in the tub. There was a smell of men's cologne in the room. The towels smelled of cigarette smoke. I will never stay there again.

Rooms smelled of cigarette smoke, even though they were no smoking rooms. There were people in the middle of the night doing strange things outside our room. There was a chicken leg in the room when we first came in. The only positive experience we had was the nice breakfast lady, you could tell she took pride in her work. The breakfast lady kept her area very clean, and was very helpful.

Stayed here in November, and have been here again for over a month on business. They are under new management, and the improvements are obvious. Rooms are clean, and the staff is more professional and does a good job. I've been told there are plans for a lot more improvemments, too. This is a clean, comfortable budget — friendly option in Indy.

One big DUMP don't waste your money had two TV channels said they were working on it… Should of spent $50 more on a decent place… what a … hole.

DO NOT USE this HOTEL to PARK and FLY! They did not render services. We paid by credit card the day before on (Sunday) and arrived at 5:15 am on Monday morning. The desk clerk had no knowledge of the reservation, which was also not in their computer system. I showed her my confirmation receipt and she still could not locate it in their computer. The clerk said called the Holiday Inn in which they share the shuttle bus. I personally, spoke with the Holiday Inn Shuttle driver and desk clerk they were unaware of the scheduled reservation to the Airport. Holiday Inn stated that the Super 8 Hotel was to provide their own Shuttle Bus services to the Airport. Holiday Inn said they weren't departing to the Airport until 6:00 am. Our flight was leaving at 6:55 am. The Super 8 did not rendered services. I had to call Uber in order to get to the Airport in time. Super 8 REFUSED to REFUND my $22.00 and the GM refused to REFUND the cost of the Uber pick-up. The GM was very rude and inconsiderate. He said it was a break down in communication on their end but refused to REFUND any part of our expenses! I told him that I was going to dispute the credit card payment due to services not rendered. He told me that was fraud. I told him he was crazy! I asked him if their was any one else that could assist me? The GM said No I'm the owner and there's nothing you can Do! I told him there is a lot I can do.

An absolute rat hole, place was filthy and the management staff did not care. I can say that the housekeeping people were polite and accommodating but obviously they have no maintenance staff because everything was in disrepair. Will never stay here again and will advise my employer.

This was the worst hotel we have ever been to! We had a reservation for double bed room. We got there and they gave us a room with 1 bed for 4 people. We did get another room. We had no towels and the bathroom was filthy! They advertised breakfast. No breakfast! Will never stay there again. These are pics of the bathtub and back of the toilet! Yuck! —

I would give this place a 0 if I could. I stayed in room 119. The door was hard to open and close. The weather strip on the bottom of the door was gone and you could see outside. The room was filthy and I woke up to bed bugs on my pillow. Got a refund and left to go to a Holiday inn where My kids and I also found bed bugs.

My wife and I stayed over while visiting Indy for the weekend. The rooms were clean, the staff more than accomodaring, and the price was reasonable. We quite enjoyed our evening.

Worst place ever people selling drugs, prostitution outside, it smells bad and the guy in the front desk was rude, when he gave me my room he told me he had no key for it and to use a box or something to block the door. I Left that place even if I had to pay more at another hotel but I wasn't about to stay on a place I didn't feel safe.

Worst experience I've ever had in a hotel. I'm 63 years and have been in plenty of hotels and this was the absolute worst. Avoid this place like the plague.

The rooms look nice on the inside. Right off the highway. Close to the airport.

The hotel was dirty, it smelled like cigarettes in a non smoking room, there was filth and rust on the walls, the room had no towels, all of the channels on the TV were horribly distorted. The iron provided smelled bad when it got hot so I didn't want to iron my shirts with it. The toilet seemed to not be properly attached to the floor and I thought it was going to break off the bathroom floor. My coworkers and I requested that my company take us out of there and get us another hotel. Two stars only because it wasn't me paying for the room.

Wifi did not work the entire stay. Front desk told me to go to the lobby as "it works down here". Manager was not on duty at any time during my stay. Even left my cell number for them at front desk and was never called. Bedsheets were stained and had bootprints on them. Room smelled like a musky dungeon. Desk clerk did not welcome me, say hi or tell me about anything at check-in. Nothing about breakfast, check out times, etc.

Don't let the pictures fool you, this place is an absolute dump. Not worth $50 a night. There is a newer bed… and nightstand and TV. But to close the door you must body-slam it… light comes in under door. Weird people wandering around. Don't come alone. Better yet. Don't stay. Pool is permanently closed.

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. First of all, the room was completely filthy. It was a non smoking room yet it reeked of smoke, and had cigarette burns in the carpet. The carpet was covered with stains. When I sat on the bed, either the mattress or floor smelled like pee. The sheets were too small, so when you sat or laid on the bed, they popped off, and I was not about to touch the mattress. The shower curtain was moldy. It was just gross, gross, gross. One more thing, they advertise that they have a pool. I was here just last week (mid July) and the pool was not open. My boyfriend asked the housekeeping lady how long it had been closed and she said TEN YEARS! Yup, ten years. Why are they even advertising that they have a pool? That is called false advertising. The only redeeming factor about this place is that the lady who was working in the breakfast area was really nice. She was closing up, but she went in back and brought out a few things for us and made sure we were happy. We should have left when we saw the room, but it was close to midnight when we got there and we were exhausted from driving all day, so I just decided to touch as little as possible and get the heck out of there as quick as possible the next morning.

I do not want to give this even 1 star, if I could give it a negative 10, I would. Stayed during Indy 500 and booked months in advance. Was told there was a pool, there was but it hasn't been opened in 6 years. Told there was an elevator for an elderly friend with us, there was but it's been broke for 2 years. Was told the ice machine had been broke for some time, so no ice. Had to ask for towels, coffee and cups each day we were there. Went to the front desk every day for one thing or another. I took the trash out of our trash can to put a clean empty bag in it and I almost threw up the trash can was so gross and I have no idea what was in the bottom of it. I spoke to the property manager Phil and was told they would deep clean our room. Never happened. Asked for an additional blanket since only one bed had a blanket on it. Never got it. Left my straightener there and called 2 days later to be told they have not cleaned the room yet, really after 2 days! I have called several times and have been told they did find it and were going to over night it to me. That was on the 19th of June (if it was just a cheap one it would have been no big deal) well as of today July 17th I still have not gotten it nor can I contact them anymore as I get a recording saying the mailbox is full so I can't even leave a message. Do NOT stay here. Had someone try to get in our room while we were sitting right there in the parking lot. We confronted him to be told his friend was in that room earlier.

I would like to give it a 3.5 stars. The price is extremely affordable. Considering the price, it indeed deserves a 4 stars: nicely furnished, a comfy bed, warm water, a private microwave and fridge. The downside is: the bed frame has smell of smoking, the hotel is pretty dark and some people kept talking outside of my room until midnight. I would not suggest my girlfriend to visit here alone, or even with me. But for a trip with limited budget and a person like me who knows it just seems a little dangerous but is actually safe, the hotel is perfect. I would give it a five star if the smoking smell can be fixed.

Room renovated with bar fridge and microwave. Checked in at 9pm and waited about 20 minutes for a clean room. Some areas of the room was dusty. Good value.

This hotel has been under remodeling nice but not so clean. Problem with breakfast and too much noise.

This motel is being completed. It may have had it's bad days but there is hope. Just remember that the now, is being done! It's a fresh way to do better things.

Renovations have been done to rooms. Nice decor. Small bathroom Clean and neat breakfast area.

Inside was nice, complications with pre-authorization were a bit annoying especially when I booked it said I would not need to pay anything until I checked out.

Let's see when I checked into the room there was a piece of pizza under the bed that was not very courteous.

Super clean and decorated nice with new appliances. Three stars is all I'm giving cause I've been to better motels.

Very very bad they do STEAL from your room I'm aware of who it was thanks to the other guy on this review they stole from. Please avoid booking a room here if you value your belongings. Room was horrible not just saying that. Pretty sure the 5 stars on here come from close people that live there and have developed a relationship with these low-life thieve employees 1 way I can tell they call them by there name.

I usually never write negative reviews, however, I was charged twice from the hotel and this place had no AC. They moved us from one room to another that still did not have AC.

I love it here the general manger is really nice and I would recommend it to a lot of my friends because dawn has been nice to us and Stephine has to if it wasn't for them we wouldn't be here right now I really love them they help us a lot and I really like it here I love them they are so helpful and very nice to all their guest here. I would like to think Stephine and the general manger Dawn you guys are so very kind to everyone that comes to this hotel thank u.

I was staying here long term after moving to Indianapolis, and it was simply the worst experience ever. Not only are the rooms small, dirty, and have mold and water damage, the employees will ENTER YOUR ROOM AND STEAL FROM YOU. I am not joking! The hotel night auditor and one of the front desk clerks (Cierra Hayden and John Poston, WATCH OUT! ) entered my room and stole my money… it was only $60 but still, it was all I had left. The INCREDIBLE part is that John told me to MY FACE that he went in my room that night and had gone through my stuff, he even said HE LOOKED THROUGH MY COMPUTER. They were caught on camera, and they have the door lock readout that both show and PROVE that this happened. It took management a FULL 5 DAYS to even contact me back, and NO REPARATIONS were made! In fact THEY BOTH STILL WORK THERE! And I am not the only one that at least Cierra has stolen from. I was actually in the front lobby as I overheard two guests talking to POLICE OFFICERS filing a complaint against her saying that she had stolen $300 and jewelry out of their room when she had gone up there to check a fire alarm. AGAIN she was caught on camera, and nothing was done! This hotel is the worst place I have ever seen or stayed at. Now if you have nothing to steal, you might not be worried about this. But keep in mind the CRACK PIPES AND NEEDLES I found laying around the property on a CONSISTENT basis, and you might think differently.

This place is sucks! Never come back to this dirty place! 1 star is to much for this place!

This hotel is super dirty. The floor had dirt/crumbs/random things all over it — definitely was not even attempted to be vacuumed. There was trash in the trash can in my room and on the sink counter, there was a chunk of what appeared to be chewed up food. The faceplate fell off my card reader to get in my room (but it still worked! ), and I had to ram by shoulder against the door a few times to get it to open. I concluded that this night actually be a good thing, because the other clientele looked rather shady (don't judge me for being judgmental! ). Everything was gross and shitty — except the manager or whoever checked me in was super friendly and the room was decorated actually pretty cute, so I'll give it 1 star for that. After working 14 hours with a 3 hour commute and being completely exhausted, I could not bring myself to stay the night. Don't stay here. Anywhere else would be better. I'm not joking. It's awful.

The staff and manager Tony is very nice, I would recommend this place to my friends and family.
