Great place, dog friendly.

Beds too soft and lumpy. No blankets on the beds. They offer comforters if requested but they are basically duvet covers without the duvet. TV’s in the entire hotel had no signal and guest services said they were aware and it had been an ongoing problem for a while. Rooms were so outdated. Really disappointing for a Sheraton/Marriott.

Simply gorgeous venue! We performed for a corporate event there and their staff was AMAZING! Highly recommend!

Liars, the room I booked wasn't available at the point of checking so was explicitly advised by reception they would waive the $20 a day fee for staying here if I took a different room type. On check out wasn't advised of any outstanding charges and they've gone ahead and charged my card anyway? Thats basically theft, I'd avoid staying here unless you want to be charged for things you shouldn't be charged for.

We hosted The Natural Hair Fest Chicago here. The staff were very helpful, pleasant and accommodating to all of our needs. The only critique would be better signage so that attendees can locate their individual event easier! We will utilize this location again! Thank You Sheraton.

For a 5 star hotel, this place gets 2 stars from me. $63 for overnight parking, $15 for Wi-Fi, $25 for breakfast, and we couldn’t swim because of our vaccination status. The room was small. The lady at the front desk was rude and unhelpful.

Always a nice stay when visiting Chicago. Nice Clean rooms. Beautiful Lobby area. Walking distance to Magnificent Mile.

The only thing is missing inside the hotel room l is the fridge you have to pay $10 to rent & no microwave. Otherwise it’s close to parks & river walk.

The staff was very nice. The location is perfect, but we were very disappointed with the room. We saw bugs crawling on the pillows. We complained and they moved us to a different room which was not much better. Bathroom was not very clean and our robes had stains on them. I spoke with the manager about just getting my money back to leave and she was very rude honestly at this point we didn’t want to be in that hotel at all…

Stayed at the Sheraton for a large work conference. The rooms are nice and the location is perfect for key Chicago activities. The conference accommodations have been great. However, the customer service overall could use some improvement and the burger restaurant on the lowest level had poor service. And the building is a little hard to navigate at first. Maybe signage could be improved. Hard to locate the bathrooms and elevators. Overall though it is pretty great, the rooms are clean and provide a great view from both sides. There are many great common areas to socialize in as well. Would return.

We love this hotel for it's great location and the wonderful river views from the rooms on the south side. Especially nice that it is basically on a dead end road. Parking is readily available under the hotel and there are some great places to eat nearby. Staff is also friendly and accommodating. Reasons for 4 star instead of 5 are issues we've had with things in the room not working (refrigerator, phone, hair dryer, ice machine, no hot water, tub not draining, etc. ). Otherwise we really enjoy staying here.

I stayed here for 7 nights for a conference of the National Stuttering Association. There was close to 900 of us at this which was held during July 4 week. I must say I found all of staff to be very friendly and helpful. Never once did I see or hear anyone being rude or impatient with us people who stutter, which was a relief, because that’s not always the case in public settings. The staff I directly interacted with were quite helpful. My room was perfect and attended to in …a timely manner. I requested extra creams for the coffee maker and was promptly obliged. I’m an SPG rewards member so my internet was free, which was great, because it seemed pricy. I didn’t like the additional charge initially incurred for “incidental. ” I was told it would be $100 per night, which for 7 nights was going to be $700. I managed to negotiate that down to just $100 which I was assured I’d get back within 30 days if I didn’t use it. I didn’t like this because it wasn’t mentioned anywhere on the website and feel this should be mentioned since it is essentially a hold on your credit card. We had many first timers to our event and this could have spelled disaster for many of our younger first tine attendees.
I also thinking a parking fee of $55 a day was excessive. I know it’s Chicago so parking must be competitive with surrounding venues. It just seemed really obsessive to charge daily instead of “per stay. ” All in all, I did enjoy the stay.

I expect a weekend at a downtown hotel to cost. However, I also expect a certain return. Location was excellent, but that was about it. No free Wi-Fi. No parking accommodations. We had an executive suite. No usable mini fridge. No microwave. The AC rattled the vents so loudly that we thought it was trying to break through the wall. There was mold in the shower, hand prints all over the windows, and the wall paper was peeling off the walls both in the room and in the hallways! As I said, I expected this room to cost. But I didn't expect a 2 star motel room. Although even a 2 star motel has free parking and a mini fridge. Disappointed and feeling that my money could have been better spent.

My friend was here for a workshop (also held in the hotel) and I tagged along. The hotel itself was a challenge to find… but then again I think it's the same challenge for anything downtown. The hotel was lovely. Staff very nice! The hotel has a few restaurants on site which was very handy! Our favorite was the Chicago Burger Company. It has terrific outside seating overlooking the river. And the sandwiches yummy! The rooms were comfy however I would agree with several reviews in saying the walls are very thin (I was prepared and brought a fan… worked great) and the pillows are way too soft. But otherwise a great stay!

Stayed here Labor Day weekends in 2014 and 2015 and loved the experience both times. Great outdoor seating area by the water for drinks, great location, friendly staff. Both times we arrived before our rooms were ready and they took our luggage and stored it so we could go out and enjoy the city. Highly recommend. Just got back from Chicago and would have booked here again if it weren't for a workers conference. Still stopped by and went to the bar though.

Honestly I was very satisfied with my stay and I don’t really understand some of the negative feed backs I read here: probably they don’t come from people used to travelling so often all around the world as we do…
When we checked in the room was ready at 11am instead of 3pm as it was due. I got a room with Navy Pier view. Starbucks coffee is provided in the room: it makes a difference when you want to get a cup of coffee just when you wake up and you don’t want to wait to go downstairs for breakfast.
The hotel is conveniently located at walking distance from Michigan Avenue and Navy Pier and it is overlooking the river. There are Walgreens, Whole Food and Illy coffee shop (in case you want an Italian espresso or Italian panini) at less than 5 mins walk.
The room service was fast and good quality.
The coffee shop too serves Starbucks, but also very delicious muffins and yogurt with fruit and granola (superior to what you find at Starbucks).
Apart from the usual restaurant options, there is a burger bar serving tasty hamburgers, with outdoor tables on the riverside walk: a very nice spot indeed.
The maid servicing my room (Trysha) was very nice and willing to meet my needs.
The front desk manager Mr Eric Ballen was really kind and helpful.
I give only 4 stars and not 5 just for the setting: I prefer a more modern, minimal and colourful style in furniture and architecture.

Very comfortable beds and very clean. We got the extra club package so we can get unlimited drinks and breakfast. They had a happy hour as well that we went to once and it was pretty defent… if you wanted to save money, you could eat dinner there. Pool was packed. The gym was decent. There was a deck that allowed you to get closer to the river. We had a river view room which made it fun to people watch and watch all the cruises and boats come through.

This was a very nice hotel in downtown Chi town. Comfortable, friendly. The only negative I have is being charged $20 for Internet on top of a premium room rate.

Very nice and clean hotel however I have never been to a hotel that charges $761.00 for incidentals… Nor did the receptionist ever tell me it was going to be that much! My credit card wouldn't read for some reason so I figured I'd put it on my debit card and told the gentleman that it was a debit card… Well that money got taken out of my account right away. I am a vet tech here for a conference so I don't make big bucks like all the other high rollers staying here so that definitely ruined my stay here. And maybe it's the country girl in me, but I find $55.00 a night just to park your car ridiculous.

My wife and I stayed here for a business conference that she had to attend. The place was crawling with people who were there for the same reason. The front desk staff and concierge were all friendly and helpful for the most part. The housekeeper (I forget her name) was very helpful and sweet. A bellman seemed slightly frustrated, however, when I preferred to carry my own luggage to the room instead of tipping him to do it, but it was a minor inference. The hotel lobby area and adjacent commons area as well as the restaurants were very nice. The hotel’s style isn’t as modern-contemporary as other hotels I’ve stayed at, rather it was more stately. The location is conveniently located right on the canal amidst all the high-rise architecture and close to the Navy Pier as well as other attractions. Our biggest bugaboo was with the room itself. Opening and closing the door took extra effort as it was hard to close. Some patches on the ceiling had rings or were chipping. Sounds could all too easily be heard from the hallway as if the walls were paper thin or the person was standing next to you talking. The room itself was of decent size but just felt dated for the money it cost. However, I must say that we had one of the best views than in any hotel we have stayed at in a long time. We stayed on the 31st floor and as soon as you opened your curtains, all you saw was tall buildings situataed along the water way. Front and center was Trump Tower. Gorgeous!

Only visited for a conference, but the venue was beautifully maintained and served very well. The conference rooms were a bit small, but the pros were well worth it. Nice view of the river downstairs at the riverwalk, good service, very upscale vibe, just a couple minutes from Navy Pier and the bean. Overall well worth it!

Spectacular downtown Chicago hotel. Excellent service, well appointed room, fast Wi-Fi. Was here for a conference and the conference rooms are nice as well. Downstairs cafe is nice if uninspired. Didn't get to eat at Shula's but I heard it was decent. View from my room was excellent.

Great hotel. The room was spacious. How the American, coffee, mini bar, iron, amenities, the loosest, little free water and bath things uhhhh. The impersonal reception. Good breakfast The gym is good, lacking rowing and more functional training apparatus. The pool is short. Fedex Office. Well, if you want to get orders. Photos from the window, beautiful view.

Extremely clean and gorgeous hotel. The entire staff, including the maids, were very friendly. We had zero problems at all here. Even though taxi's are being taken over by ride sharing, I recommend asking the door man for a taxi so you get to watch him hail a cab with his whistle! The views from inside our room was stellar. Amazing views of the river, city, and a bit of the navy pier wheel.

This was my first time staying here and I enjoyed it very much. The lobby is stunning and the staff is amazing. The room had a great view and they had the most comfortable bed and pillows. The pool was pretty good too. About a block away is Whole Foods if you wanted to get food or something. Overall it is the best hotel I have been to and I have been to many hotels. The only thing was the snacks and drinks in the mini fridge was a bit expensive, a small can a Pringles was 8 or 5 dollars. That is common in most hotels anyway, but I definitely recommend this hotel!

The lobby is still very noisy and the queues for check in are very long. Out of the summer season, the opening hours of the two open restaurants are limited and we are always sent back to the café where there are some bars to eat and where the wait is drags. If at least the cashiers were trying to smile and camouflage their stupid air.

There was much to like about this hotel. The rooms were very comfortable and quiet. I enjoyed the pool and the gym as well. The staff were particularly friendly and attentive to queries or requests. Breakfast was perfectly pleasant but some might find the choices available a little limited. Some of the public areas especially the corridors on the bedroom floor were a little dated but only a minor criticism on a very pleasant four night stay.

Central location for shopping and dinning. Short walk across the river to the Millennium Station. I was on the 24th floor. It is always nice to come back to a comfortable room with a great view! This is especially good during the winter. The staff is very attentive and friendly. I called in for about a couple of room issues and they were promptly addressed and there were even follow up calls to ensure that everything is fine.

I was very happy with the staff. Very friendly. But the room itself was not what we expected and our view was good but blocked by another building. And there was not a hot tub which was disappointing considering the amount of kids that was in the pool.

Great hotel right by the lake in downtown Chicago. Just a 10-15 minute walk to most of the things we wanted to do downtown. The concierge service was good, although one night it took them over an hour to bring up an extra cot for sleeping. However, it was a great experience, and would recommend it to a friend.

We've stayed here 2 times already in the last 6 months. Great location, you can walk everywhere Its beautiful this time of year (cold though). Front desk and breakfast staff are so friendly. Our rooms have been spacious and clean, with lovely linens and nice view. Zero complaints, well be back.

We stayed here for two night and everything from check in to check out was fantastic. The concierge staff were always super friendly and helpful and really enhanced our visit. We had access to the Club Lounge and were pleasantly surprised with the amount and quality of the food! Our room was as expected and I guess the drain next door was clogged so they needed to pump our bathroom sink drain and even the plumber/maintenance guy was super bubbly and friendly and apologetic for him disturbing us. Highly recommend this hotel!

Disaster… for being Sheraton leaves a lot to be desired. I would not choose it again… the worst is the attention of an Asian girl would seem to give you bad information. He forgot the wake up call and we almost lost the flight. The heating with less than 26 degrees outside barely worked… we got cold inside the room. In Chicago choose another hotel.

Hotel is nice in the lobby. Lobby is huge and bar is nice as well. The sitting areas and the views from the hotel are amazing and really makes the hotel stand out. The rooms were nice as well. The only issue is the staff. When we requested a microwave and frig in our room (only family rooms and suites come with them so you can easily request them by calling guest services) they both came fast. However, the people who brought them to the room (I guess the hotel maintenance staff) were not so friendly and seemed annoyed. Other than that, the hotel was nice and well worth the stay. The exercise room was an okay size as well. Love it!

Great hotel located in the city. Big and great for weekends with family. Rooms are spacious and absolutely loved the suites. Amenities were great such as the gym with Sauna, pool and the club lounge. Some rooms also have a great river view. Staff are also very friendly and helpful.

I booked a room for December 21st back in April. I told them I was with the Midwest Clinic and I opted to pay extra for a water front view. They put me in room 853. This room was severely obstructed. I will put a picture in the comment section. I mentioned it to the staff and they were not helpful. Since I was a performer at the Midwest clinic; I was supposed to get a special rate on my room and the parking. I found out that I did not receive a special rate for the room I recieved, and instead was charged full price. I also found out upon trying to recieve my car that they also didn't give me the special rate for parking either. I was frustrated because everything else had been going wrong. So I told her about me being told I wasn't paying $67 for parking and I even told her the names of the employees who told me this… the valet lady literally started cussing and yelling at me and took my key back… so I went back upstairs and finally the bell captain up at the front desk comped my parking. The captain was the ONLY helpful person my entire trip. All other employees encountered were rude and extremely unhelpful. I also want to add that when I went to take a shower, the towel I went to grab had A GIANT STAIN on it… like im paying THIS much for a hotel and you give me stained towels? I do not recommend this hotel.

Within walking distance of Michigan Avenue and Giordano’s! We loved our river view room. Our service was top notch from the moment we checked in and our beds were very comfortable.

This is an extraordinary hotel that I love going to when I go to Chicago for work.

Terrific hotel with an outstanding staff. I asked for a room with a view and got myself a room with a breathtaking view of the city and the lake! The hotel is located very conveniently close to the magnificent mile and plenty of restaurants. If you do go here, I would recommend going down to the Starbucks on the ground level to enjoy a cup of coffee with the lovely view of all the passing boats. Overall, fantastic room with a great team of staff. I will return to the Sheraton when I’m back in Chicago!

Our reservations had free parking and they gave us a comp breakfast for all of us. Thinking the breakfast buffet was open until 1:00 we got there at 11:50. It closed at 12;00. They kept the buffet open to make sure we were well taken care of. The hostesses and waiter staff were very kind to the kids and I. The buffet was good with all the essentials. Did I mention a quiet great night sleep? All at a very reasonable price. Will definitely be returning. Thank you Sheraton Chicago for a great stay!

It was a very nice hotel. 80s, but it has its own charm. Not acceptable that the Wi-Fi in the room is only for a fee (and also expensive).

Very modern, clean, and nice. Feels open and airy with all the windows throughout. Rooms are good size, with the famed Sheraton mattresses and pillows. Great views looking down the river; the hotel is located right at the bridge where they pour the St. Patrick's Day green dye into the river! Movie theater across the way but not a ton right nearby; walk to Michigan Ave for more options.

The location is beautiful, right on the water. The Sheraton Grand is in a convenient part of the city: the navy pier, cloud gate, and various cultural museums are just a small walk away. The staff is helpful and friendly, even though I attended overnight during a conference that completely overran the hotel, they were wonderful! Conference rooms are large and comfortable, and hotel staff responded immediately to conference issues.

Clean room, good breakfast, big stay… We were given a room overlooking the sea towers from the 17th floor. It is close to the Navy Pier, Millenium Park and well connected to the rest of the city.

Beautiful intercity hotel. Clean comfortable rooms. Expected price for food, because you are in a prime location. Exercise facilities are excellent. The pool is actually a 45 foot lap pool! Would stay there again.

Great place. Coffee downstairs advertises Starbucks. Only carry's Pike. Save yourself some money and go to a real Starbucks on Michigan St. Instead. … Coffee here is $3.70 for a small… The room was spectacular. The beds are wonderful and the pillows inviting. The shower is amazing: instant hot water and the water jets will blast you through the wall. Lovely!

My experience sadly was only with the customer service and accounting departments. I made a reservation for a business conference in 2018. I unfortunately had to cancel my reservation and called the hotel 2 days after making my reservation. Almost 2 weeks later I hadn't received my deposit back. I called and was told that the money was never taken out of my account. I called my bank and they assured me it was. I can understand a mistake, an oversight but my repeated attempts to connect with accounting was ignored. I left 2 voicemails to which the recording assured me I would be contacted within 24 hours. I NEVER WAS! I emailed and no response. I called the front desk and the attendant was rude and unapologetic. The Manger on Duty was polite, apologetic and took my name and number to which no one contacted me. FINALLY, I tried to call one more time and was contacted to a real person in accounting. She was rude, unapologetic about the refund or the lack in returning my messages and email. I emailed the GM and I have not nor do I expect a response due to my experience with customer service at the Sheraton thus far. I will never stay at any of the Sheraton chain hotels.

Love the location of this hotel! Beautiful views of the water and city. Easy walk to magnificent mile, navy pier, water tours, river path, etc. Shula's restaurant inside the hotel offers upscale food choices and delicious drinks. I wasn't a fan of the spiel the wait staff is trained to say upon taking your seat, but other than that, it was wonderful!

We purchased our stay at the Sheraton Grand through price line. They have an amazing view of the Chicago river through upper floors and the magnificent mile. This location is located to most of the shops, sightseeing attractions like hop/on and off bus, cruises, restaurants and etc. And the rooms are clean. At night, we had noises from different rooms (couples fight, partying, etc). That was not pleasant. And the hotel is easy to find and close to bus stations.

Yes, very good location! Exercise room, swimming pool are very good. An open buffet breakfast is $29 and it is a good price. Breakfast is very reach and delicious. You have to pay for basic Wi-Fi? $13.00? Self parking $55, Valet parking $67. Not too bad. We had one room for four and it was so small. That room doesn't fit the rest of the hotel! Paid, for one night $ 311 including taxes. Front desk staff were very friendly and polite.

The room was a river facing one on the 25th with great view. The rooms aren't state of the art and neither the restroom but good for what it is. You have the option to give up on daily room service and earn 5 bucks on food as well as a part of their go green initiative. The lobby is a nice place and the staff is extremely courteous and efficient. One star off because they never removed my breakfast tray even after telling them in person but hey, to err is human!

A Sheraton! What to Add…

The hotel itself was fantastic with zero complaints. The location is perfect and the views are incredible! The only negative is the parking, DO NOT use their valet parking service! $67 a day and after not using our vehicle for two days when it was time to leave after checking out, the valet service ignored my calls to retrieve our car and when we went to the valet area downstairs there were 30 groups waiting and only two valet's retrieving vehicles. It took them 40 minutes to get ours which is truly unacceptable since we paid for valet service. Park your car yourself and save your money from this scam.

It's in a great location by the Chicago River and a short distance from the Navy Pier. There is a river walk on one side. It's close to a lot of eateries and foodies would love it. There are plenty of water front activities such as river cruises, kayaking, four wheel bike rides by the river. Lake view and river view rooms also make it a wonderful place to stay. The rooms are fairly cozy with the usual amenities. There's is a restaurant at the bottom level with option for outdoor dining. The service is fairly decent. Overall, a great experience.

The location can't be beat and the amenities are nice. The location is great for a tourist visit, right on the River Walk and between the city center and the Navy Pier. It was easily walkable to many of the main sites. If you're in town for more than a few days be sure to explore beyond the local area. Heidi was wonderfully attentive at check-in and made us feel appreciated. At some times the pool was too crowded with kids for us to use. But when we came in the morning it was nearly empty. This was the perfect place for us to stay. The location can't be beat and the amenities are nice. The location is great for a tourist visit, right on the River Walk and between the city center and the Navy Pier. It was easily walkable to many of the main sites. If you're in town for more than a few days be sure to explore beyond the local area. Heidi was wonderfully attentive at check-in and made us feel appreciated. At some times the pool was too crowded with kids for us to use. But when we came in the morning it was nearly empty. The members lounge was a great addition and made a big difference in how easy our stay was.

The location of Sheraton grand Chicago was unbeatable! 5 minute walk to navy pier. 5 minute walk to magnificent mile (Michigan ave) 10 minute walk to millennium park and Giordano's pizza. The hotel was beautiful and very clean. The staff was amazing and treated us as if we were royalty. We felt cared for and comfortable at the Sheraton grand Chicago. We will most definitely be staying there again on our next trip to Chicago. You will NOT regret choosing the Sheraton grand Chicago for your next stay in Chicago! 5 stars across the board.

A very stylish hotel located very close to Millennium Park, Navy Pier and the Magnificent Mile. The rooms are comfortable, very nice staff, almost everyone in Chicago and nice breakfast. Shula's is one of the best restaurants in the city, although expensive. The lobby is very comfortable for those who need to wait there and free available on it. Recommended.

The rooms and location are nice, but everything in the hotel is super expensive. Prepare yourself for a $16 burger and a $9 beer at the bar. Also, the seasonal "Chicago Burger Company" restaurant has horrid service. I sat outside for about 30 minutes without even a hello from a waiter, meanwhile other tables were being served with still slow service.

Had a great time at the Sheraton Grand Hotel. Rooms were comfortable and well laid out. A bit small and older but to be expected in a major city. The people working there were all professional and well educated on the city. The burger restaurant was the only real complaint. Not worth the money even with a 20% coupon. Tasteless and boring. Other than that no complaints. We! l located and just what we needed to have a good time downtown.

We had a comfortable stay at the Sheraton and enjoyed the location. However, I took off a star because upon check in we were told there were no more king rooms available although this is what we reserved. We were told it is customary to call the hotel and say specifically that this is the type of room you actually want, otherwise they assume they can move you around. I have never heard of another hotel having this expectation. To their credit, we were moved to a king room the second night, but only after following up with management (who said it would not be possible as they were full… then magically found a king room for us 2 minutes later). Overall, this is a high quality hotel in a great location with nice rooms and facilities. My only hesitation about staying here again would be worry about their overbooking. I noticed others having this same issue at check in as well.

Some of the charges were excessive in comparison to the average hotel experience. For example, instead of free Wi-Fi, they charged 15 dollars per day for access. Fortunately, there was full 4G coverage in most parts of the hotel. For anyone new to Chicago, be prepared for 50-60 dollars per day for parking as well. This isn't the hotel, but rather the monopoly held on parking facilities there. Overall the hotel was pleasant and up to date. Proximity to downtown events and locations was terrific.

A bit dated but kept up. Beds are nice. Two double bed room. 10mbps internet free for up to 5 devices. No microwave. Annoying mini bar/snack table with pricey junk. Super long walk to all rooms. Parking is $52 a day.

I was here for the United States Hispanic Leadership Institute Conference and the rooms were beautiful. There was plentiful space for the multitude of student that were there. The staff were very helpful in helping us navigate the space. The hotel looked very well taken care of.

I visited this hotel for visiting my old high school teacher who was staying there for a few nights. We take a few drinks and we chatted, and the service was perfect — they never bothered us too and they were empty cups and filled them again without having to ask for it. I loved the hotel and I would recommend it to anyone.

Nice hotel, the staff was very polite and helpful with all of our needs. We asked if they could remove the snack tray in our room since we had a e year old staying with us so e would not be charged. They said they could remove it but would charge $25 when we check out to replace it. They should have a better option for people traveling with kids.

Love the location of Sheraton Grand on the river. The room was nice but a little dated. The staff are more than courteous. I'll definitely keep the Sheraton Grand in my downtown Chicago go-to hotels.

We had a drink at the bar inside the Sheraton and while the drinks were acceptable, the wait staff was horrendous. It was busy, so normally I would give them the benefit of the doubt, but the waitress was rude and the woman running the bar was a downright witch. We complained after the waitress bussed a half glass of wine without asking if we were done (we weren't) and the bartender acted like it was our fault and then proceeded to bad mouth us to the rest of the bar while we could clearly hear her from about 15' away. Much better places in the area for drinks. Save yourself the drama.

Clean hotel, friendly staff, comfy bed. My only complaints were the noise level (expected for staying in the city) the thermostat in the room didn't keep room at comfortable setting, & the TV kept dimming. Nice view of the city, great valet parking for guests a plus.

All good for the majority. Room nice, very friendly front desk. The location of the hotel very affordable. Food room service was quick and rich. The lady who took the order had an ugly attitude to answer the phone, but did his job.

Hotel has a beautiful view of the river and lake. The lobby is large and comfortable. The destination is awesome in that it is close to all attractions in Chicago. I have been here for multiple conventions, so staff is alright and hotel rooms are OK too.

Concierge is pretty much non existent as soon as it gets dark. There is no late night food. No vending machines because they want you to pay $10 for a bottle of water from their mini fridge that won't unlock even after you request it three times. Many times there was no one at the front desk. The bell hop men are not friendly. It is a beautiful hotel, but they will not only charge you for every single breath you take, but not even offer you that breath when you need it.

Room was nice. Staff was pleasant. Location was wonderful for walking to many downtown attractions. BUT beware of additional fees! To start, the room mini-frig cannot be used for any personal items. They will provide you with an additional mini-frig for $25/day fee. There are snack items (AT KID LEVEL) on a censored trey that will be charged to your room if any of the items are touched. I was sent an email prior to our stay, as well as asked at check-in, about paying an additional $30 per day to use the fitness center. Thankfully, I confirmed that we would have access to the pool without paying for use of the fitness center. But you do access the pool through the fitness center! So we did have access to the fitness center, regardless. We did not use the machines, just took the kids to the pool. I would have been upset if I had paid extra to access an area that all hotel guests can get to without added fees. PARKING! This one is a bit tricky. And the reason for only 3 stars. If you are not going to move your car, then it is not worth letting the hotel even know that your car is there. Parking is from a private company but still under the hotel. We paid $51 per day for parking and were told that we could leave our car there for 48 hours, or until 9:30pm the second day, even though hotel check-out time is in the morning.

Staff was very nice. But Wi-Fi was not free. Whatever u do, do not eat at shulas steakhouse unless your prepared for about 80 — 100$ a person. Our room was hot and uncomfortable. It was a great location tho.

My fiancée and myself stayed here 4/3/15 and 4/4/15. This was our first trip to Chicago. The staff working here is friendly and the interior is kept up and clean but aside from that all the Sheraton is overcharging on most everything. The room is small, has no microwave and no mini fridge. I will say though that the bed and pillows were very comfortable. The a/c unit doesn't blow very well so if you're like me and you like a loud a/c unit blowing to drown out noise and fall asleep to well you don't get that in these rooms. We were also told we would have a room overlooking the Chicago river but instead got a room on the other side of the hotel facing the Chicago skyline which wasn't all that bad but just not what we were promised orginally. Parking here in the garage of the hotel is $51 a day which should be included in the cost of what you pay to stay here per night. Freaking ridiculous! My fiancee didn't feel well the second night we stayed so I ordered dinner just for myself. I ordered an appetizer, a 12 oz can of diet coke, a normal size ceaser salad and a piece of chocolate cake for dessert and it was $62. Again freaking ridiculous! The only perk of staying here was that most everything we wanted to visit in Chicago was within a 30 min or less walk.

Giving 2 stars because the restaurants were closed at noon on sunday. Just the cafe was open with a conference attendance of over 8000. Also the gift shop was closed so there was no where to get tolitries etc.

The only reason why I gave it a star at all is because of the friendly bellman named Freddie our room was very small looked nothing like the pics the view was horrible he stayed n our room with us until he was able to get us a better room parking is expensive as well as other things n the hotel there was no free breakfast no microwave no refrigerator and everything I there was so expensive it made me mad will never stay there again and no free Wi-Fi I will stay at the holiday inn and comfort inn any day.

The Sheraton is in a beautiful location with wonderful views of the city and the Chicago River. The rooms are nice and not too expensively priced. However, the food is overly priced and there are no vending machines available. You are forced to pay high prices for even a bottle of water. Having said that, the doormen are always available to get you a taxi and help with luggage. The concierge was wonderful in helping us find just the right souvenirs and pointed us in the right direction to find them. Friendly staff almost makes up for the high prices.

It's a nice n spacious room. Room service breakfast is steep at around $40/-.

Stayed here for a conference and was honestly not all that impressed for nearly $200 a night. Everything that the Holiday Inn Express provides for free, costs extra here, including Wi-Fi and breakfast. The rooms are nothing spectacular. Small, simple and somewhat beat up. My TV had about 50 channels, 25 of which said "no signal" and another 10 or so were scrambled and/or snowy. My coworkers all confirmed theirs were like this too. Overall, if I were to spend $200 of my own money a night. I'd stay somewhere else.

I found the staff to be very friendly and accomidating. The concierge are very knowledable. The lobby is updated and the rooms are comfortable.

Other than the location, this hotel is very unimpressive. The room was just your average run of the mill, drab looking, hotel room. Any amenities they offer are rather expensive for what you get. Went to a conference on-site as well, and the technical aspects were poorly managed (e. G. Attendees needed power outlets, enough was provided for maybe a third, weird occasional light shows, sound and music interferring from elsewhere in the hotel, not enough internet bandwidth for the participants). Speaking of internet, there is Wi-Fi in the rooms, which you pay extra for, but it is very spotty. You only occassionally get the speed it offers. Most of the time you can barely connect at all.

Honeymoon's first night is gorgeous as the review of this place.

Stayed here for a week on the 29th floor with great river and lake view. Room was spacious enough. Parking a little high but that's problem downtown. Great location, staff and amenities. Would have liked free Internet but they do have business center type setup area. I heard other people in group had mini bar and snack issues cause I guess it knows when something is touched so careful with kids.

Location, location, location! Otherwise this hotel is just so-so. My room was on the eighth floor and a sad, beat-up space. Door frames were chipped and the shower bar was coated in rust. The bed was comfortable and I don't recall hearing hallway noise, but the room itself was blah. A coworker on the nineteenth floor had an updated room that looked like it was in a completely different hotel. Be sure to ask for a renovated room. Learn from me.
