The room was pretty dirty for a HIE. Dead bug in entryway. Tile could use a good scrubbing, shower as well. The bed was comfortable and the staff very friendly. Hotel needs updating, and the elevator is questionable.

This is what I've come to expect from a Holiday Inn Express. Clean, good breakfast, friendly staff. This time I was with my family, so we enjoyed the pool as well. The consistency in this chain is why I continue to choose it over others of equal price. It seems to be above the standard.

I had a room booked here for 2 nights and got food poisoning the night before I was due to check in. I was told that I would still be billed for the room bc they have a 24 hour cancellation policy, I get that I travel for my job and I'm in hotels quite often, however, given the circumstances I asked if anything at all could be done to change this. I was told that they would talk to the GM and let me know but never asked for my name or my number and they hung up. I called back very sick and agitated again explained to another person the situation ar which point the man, I believe his name was Jon said I told you I would ask but to let get my hopes up bc they have had people call with deaths in their immediate family and they are still charged with the room. I told that I understood and that I was waiting to be admitted to the hospital could someone please email me their response, I never heard back from them, no email, no phone call, not even a text, I guess I did get an email it was the bill for the 2 nights. Great customer service.

We have stayed here before, and generally had a good experience. This time, however, a fire alarm went off at 4am and wrecked our night. The pancake machine was broken, and the night clerk was unavailable at 7am. Not a perfect experience, but the bed was good, the pillows better than average.

Great stay again at this hotel. Staff was wonderful as usual for our group. Look forward to the next visit.

My family stayed at this facility for a weekend for a baseball tournament. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Normally it can get hetic when a baseball team is together but we had a great time in the back lot with a cookout and games with no problems or issues from the staff. The breakfast was wonderful and the beds slept great! If we ever play again in Illinois or just traveling thru I will definitely stay at this facility.

The shower head had no water pressure, the shower rod was broken and hanging so that the shower curtain wouldn't stay closed at either end of the rod. There was a used bar of someone else's soap stuck on the shower wall. There was blood on a pillow case. It was unsettling to think of what else wasn't cleaned or maintained.

Good and clean hotel. Check in staff person not very attentive to a pre-arrival request and too busy to take the time for me.

Best part of the stay is Dorothy at breakfast. She's fantastic. She's why I come back.

First visit here. Convenient location to interstate for easy travel. Plenty of parking. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. Only negative takeaway is the elevator was down during my stay and I had to carry my luggage up three flights of stairs.

Where to start… Elevator was broken, pool was drained, and perhaps best of all: they assigned another guest my room as well (we were both shocked to when he opened the door to the room and saw me). But hey, they have a free breakfast.

Good clean hotel for a good value with plenty of parking and hot breakfast options included. There are a few conference rooms, pool, easy access to major roads and restaurants.

Wonderful experience! Clean, quiet, professional, and helpful staff! Pricey for the area, but worth the cost.

Great clean hotel, room was nice, pool area for the kiddo was nice, we even forgot our swimsuits in room when we checked out and they are jm holding onto them till we come back through in a couple weeks. Very good breakfast also. Will be staying again.

Breakfast was pretty good. Rooms are large and clean. The hallways and pool seemed a little dirty.

This hotel was recently remodeled and was in good shape. The staff was polite and helpful at check-in. The morning staff not so much so. The room was not cleaned to the standard I have come to expect from Holiday Inn. There was marks all over the bathroom and entryway floor like the room had not been mopped. That was a little discouraging.

This THE BEST Room I have ever stayed in! I love the size, cleanliness, and amenities! Would totally stay again! Only downside is the maid couldn't read quiet please hanging from the door knob. We checked in on our way home at midnight, checkout is noon… Which is awesome unless someone pounds on your door at 9:20am… Housekeeping… NO! ;)

We stopped here as we were passing through. I had called at 1am to make a reservation, and when we arrived at 2am, Thomas at the front desk sweetly greeted us and adjusted our rate for LESS! The room was nice & CLEAN! The staff was very accommodating, and the free breakfast wasn't bad either. Definitely recommend this hotel!

Staying at Holiday Inn Express & Suites, 1003 W Killarney St, Urbana, IL 61801 with a group was a lot of fun. The pool area and main lounge for meeting in the evening or grabbing a quick bite of food in the morning is nice.

Trying to book a room and there is a better price through Orbitz, Priceline, Booking, and Venere. We called the Holiday Inn Express in Urbana who transferred us to their reservations department to see if they would match the prices online (since HIExpress advertises a best price guarantee. ) We were transferred to 2 supervisors and still have only been told to go to the website and read the best price guarantee and submit something for review to see if we can get that price. Can they not just honor the price over the phone? Not good customer service at all.

Went just for overnight. Checked in late and left early in the morning. Room was clean and quite. Breakfast was a nice.

Changed my reservation. I had to sleep on a pullout and I asked for 2 queens… very unhappy. Other than that great room.

The rooms were great. Free breakfast is always a plus. The bathrooms were very spacious.

Location was conveniently next to the freeway. Lots of food options nearby as well. Good for an average hotel.

Clean room and very friendly staff. I was not able to check into my room until 4:30 which I found surprising because housekeeping was knocking on my door at 12:05PM as I was opening the door to push out the luggage rack. If they were at my door so quickly, how could there not have been any single kings available the day before? Hmmmmmmm!
