Seemed like an unsafe environment I didn't feel safe leaving my car in the lot overnight. Not to mention the surly woman working the check in window and the alleged security guard asleep on the lobby couch. There are much safer places to stay.

Don’t book here if you need an actual accessible room and not just the label. LITERALLY no handicapped rails around the toilet, which is the actual bare minimum. Seriously.

I asked for a refund due to not being able to travel from Long Island because of coronavirus and was denied because my room is non refundable. I get if I was just trying to cancel however this is out of my control. It’s a lousy way to run a hotel. Especially after I contacted the other 3 hotels we were staying at on this roadtrip and they were more than understanding. Lousy service! Won’t be visiting them when we finally get to visit!

This motel took my money and lied to Priceline. Told Priceline I was a no show. The fact is, I showed up to check in and try told me they didn’t have me in the system and were all booked up. I had to get another room and they charged my credit card. Very disturbing and fraudulent.

Very friendly at the check in desk. The room I stayed in was neat and tidy! Very accommodating!

Good price. Near the Convention Center and downtown sites. Well appointed room. Nice staff. Easy to drive to.

I will say it's just okay because it was a good price given that I needed to be close to the downtown Convention Center. But other than that it was not a great experience. I will admit that the room was clean and comfortable but… their Wi-Fi is sub standard to say the least! This was important to me since I needed to be able to use my laptop while there. Won't stay again though and would not encourage anyone else to stay here either. Ok, had to come on here and make some adjustments since I have not been able to get on online all day today. Would definitely say that I don't like it here and I would never recommend this place to anyone who needs ALL of the promised amenities.

Great service in the lobby! Expensive for no laundry, no pool, no frills. Very simple continental breakfast. Close to 4th St (Vegas-like restaurant area) but a bit of a walk to the local/good places on Market.

Location is good. Room was dirty. Hair was everywhere. In the towels. In the bed. Tub was really dirty. There was a cricket somewhere in our room that kept me up all night. Requested that they thoroughly clean the room and change the linen. They did the linen but didn't clean the tub.

Econo Lodge downtown Louisville, Ky. Room was nice and clean?! Air conditioner didn't cool the room! Said they didn't have any rooms available! A couple hours later, we called and asked for a fan! They had none but finally moved is to another room! You know, they had none available earlier! But over all the staff was very nice and the rooms was clean!

Hated this place! Went to get into bed and found blood on our sheet! The owners didn’t want to change the blanket it was touching until we insisted! Couldn’t move us because it was completely booked. Absolutely disgusting room! And “free” breakfast? Toast and muffins! Will never ever stay in another Econo Lodge after this experience. Room should have been free and instead only a 25% discount!. Oh and manager hung up on my husband when trying to get this rectified!

NOT IMPRESSED AT ALL! Room had a lot of visible repair work that could be seen. Had to pay 5.00 for parking, then my guest had to pay 10.00… Very noisy outside of Hotel. People yelling, slamming doors, and loud music. Also the guest above us were running, stomping, and sounded as if they were jumping up and down on the floor. This happened all night long. I will NOT stay at this location again. Price was a bit high also. I think a lot of people use this location just to party!

We came here for our 26 yr anniversary this place is the cleanest. Nicest people. I want to say thank you very much.

Omni / Hilton or who ever owns it now!? They have some super great rooms for sure if u really wanna spend some loot. But for $200 there about embassy suits can’t be beat for downtown really! All of you check out all they offer & their policy & u try to beat them! Yea Hyatt has um 6 or 9 floor pretty sure 6 is vip floor need special card to even stop on that floor & the millennium was just a reg room

& free happy hour from 5-7 with food as well! They call finger food but truly sandwich’s as big as u feel like making or as many as wel! If the ever fuck with you & u have a legit point where they wronged u or ur guest then your entire stay is free! Dint try bs! Make sure they broke the rules not you! But I’ve gotten
4 free days n a three room 3 bed with livingroom pull out & all else free! Also hot tubs sauna & large pool everyone across the country I’ve ever heard of all have the same company policy! Wanna stay out side the city a bit then residence inn bout 12 mile out of city & well check them out. Good luck but I sure wasn’t at any high dollar “econo lodge”!?

Only pro is that it is in a good location. Cons are the room was dirty, wreaked of smoke, and was very dated. The breakfast had very limited selection and no hot items. Pictures are included of dirty room with dead bug on the floor, holes in blanket and hair hanging from light switch!

The hotel is as one would expect from an Econolodge. Affordable, and not super nice. Nice enough, certainly, though. Parking was troublesome the first night as people going to a concert were in the lot. Consequently one has to pay 5 bucks a day and put a pass on their dash or risk getting towed. Location is great.

Actually better than expected. Room was clean, had a fridge, and did the job. Looks like some major construction is starting across the street, so keep that in mind. UPDATE 2018: Still a great hotel for the money. Construction is now done (Omni Hotel). I've stayed here three times now and I've never had an issue. The only con is they now charge $5/day for parking.

Very friendly staff and worth the $100 or so/night. Excellent complimentary breakfast in the morning included! ♥️

My stay was overall comfortable. The rooms and beds were good — mattress and bedding appeared fairly new, good hot water supply, etc. Drawbacks-breakfast was ok, but no hot food. No tissues supplied in the room. Toilet flushing was surprisingly loud-it actually woke me up a few times during the night. Parking is added at $5 per day, which I didn't expect when I made the reservation-it was in their listing, but I didn't recognize that it was saying that there was a daily fee. It was nice to have an easy place to park downtown, and the location worked pretty well to explore downtown.

You get what you pay for. Not amazing but not terrible. Staff was friendly. Room seemed clean. Bathroom is absurdly small, but I guess that comes with the territory with this type of place. The location was perfect for downtown night life. Nice, short walk to the KFC Yum! Center. Elevator was nice for my mother since stairs are hard on her. Definitely a 4/5 place to stay in my books.

It was okey for short stay, but the price was a lot higher than its counterparts, and the service is not that fascinating. You can smells smoking everywhere. The parking costs you extra money, and the breakfast is with poor quality.

This is a cheap, convenient place to stay if you plan on spending time downtown. The rooms are old but clean. The bed was comfortable.

The music was loud when trying to sleep. It was midnight. The mattress is shorter than the boxsprings, I've got a big bruse on both legs. Outside of that, its ok.

Very disappointed, especially for $189 for one night. I’m venturing to say this hotel has some “live in folks” by some of the items sitting around (old bbq grills sitting outside peoples rooms along with an old van seat). A needle in the parking lot, slamming doors, police sirens, and hollering all night long. $5 to park in the hotel lot that has signs reassuring you that they’re not responsible for damage to vehicles or theft. Bathroom light that was shorting in and out when you turn it on, random black flakes in the bed, and can’t forget the nice rooftop view of papa johns that has trash and old clothes on top of it. I’m not usually one to complain, but this place is a $29.99 per night, couple hours of sleep, shower and hit the road kind of room if you’re brave enough.

Convenient location to downtown Louisville and you can't beat the price. However my wife and I tried to stay there last weekend but discovered bed bugs in our bed! They gave us another room but as we walked into the new room we were hit with a cloud of stale smoke. We decided to get a refund and move to a completely different hotel. The manager was hard to reach since it was after hours but once he came in the next morning we called in and had him issue us a refund. Would not recommend…

Econo Lodge was nice. The breakfast was standard, nothing special. The eggs were scary looking, the shower was very loud and the toilet handle leaked every time we used it. The rooms are nice though and the location is perfect walking distance to a lot of restaurants, the riverfront water walk and more.

The actual hotel is very nice considering the price and location, but the daytime front desk clerk had some real attitude issues — she tried to ban my boyfriend from the hotel after we accidentally locked ourselves outside of our room. I had my credit card and ID in my pants pocket, but no shoes and I was clearly not fully dressed. He went down to get a new key card, and while I wasn't there for the interaction, after speaking to her she made it clear that his (not aggressive — he didn't yell at her or anything) demeanor rubbed her the wrong way.

I enjoyed my stay here. The front office smells like cigarette smoke but the dining area and my room did not smell like smoke. I was impressed with the breakfast options and the rooms seemed well kept.

Nice enough place, bed was comfortable. LOTS of construction going on all around the hotel, but you couldn't really hear it in the room. Only a couple of negatives. Only enough coffee for one cup in the room, people coming up to you and asking for money in the parking lot, and the cable was out our entire stay. I'd stay here again if in the area. Decent place for what you pay.

Decent room for price (booked in advance online) Reasonably quiet for being downtown. A little out dated, but clean with a comfy bed. Staff was great on all shifts. Average grab and go continental breakfast. Only complaint is the $5/ day parking fee — really tight parking.

Clean comfortable room, breakfast was a bare minimum. Visiting friends at Norton's children hospital, so it was convenient. If you want a place where you can sleep in, probably want somewhere else, paper thin walls allows you to hear everything outside.

This is a nice hotel for the price. Could do with an upgrade as the carpet has marks as does the bathroom, but then I'm sure the price would go up. Good sized rooms, cable TV etc. Breakfast is primarily sugar as in most hotels in the USA.

Price is great, walking distance to fourth street live. Rooms are nice. Breakfast is kind of slim pickings, but a bagel worked for me.

Clean room, well maintained older motel. Easy walk to lots of restaurants. Staff was very friendly and helpful. You can tell that they take pride in their motel.

This was in a prime location of where we needed to go. The front desk was nice until I asked to be moved to another room. We wanted a non-smoking room, when we walked in it was horrible smoke smell. I called the front desk to let them know and it was hard for my husband due to asthma. She said to turn the air on and run the continuous fan. I was floored when she told me to do that. The small refrigerator in the room was completely nasty, there was soda spilled and frozen along w hair and fuzz. When we checked out on Sunday I asked for a complaint line, the number I was given to call to complain was a disconnected number. I have told all of my friends that plan on staying in Louisville to do not stay there.

It was exactly what we needed. Good deal for the price. The room was clean, no frills, but great location. We were in walking distance of everything we wanted to do from fine dinning and museums to bars and Jimmy John's. We had a mini fridge and microwave in our room and the second day we were there they came in, gave us fresh towels and cleaned and made the bed. I'd stay there again.

Good location, withing walking distance of the yum center. Quiet area aside from some construction. There is a Papa John's in the parking lot. You do have to pay to park in their lot 5$ a night if you have a second vehicle it will cost 10$ a night. We had 2 vehicles so it was a total of 15$ for one night. Our room was clean and perfect for a one night stay and a bed to sleep in. Check in desk associate was very nice and friendly.

I really enjoyed my stay here. It was my first time and I would come back again. Jeff was really helpful and courteous.

While in town for unfortunate reasons, found the EconoLodge to be excellent for the price. The accommodations were better than expected, the staff was friendly, and the location is great, just a block over from "4th Street Live" which is full of restaurants/bars/clubs. Also only a few blocks away from the University of Louisville Hospital, if also find yourself in town for unfortunate reasons. Make sure you shop around for the best price: some 3rd party bookings sites were offering much better discounts than others.

Great hotel, within walking distance of several places to visit downtown. Clean. Breakfast could have been better. Overall, I would stay here again.

Not so much a hotel as it is a motel (all rooms are accessed from the outside). This motel had one of the cheaper rates in town and better reviews than our other cheaper options. Room was clean, not dingy. And it was close to everything we wanted to do. 4th street is where the night scene is, we were a very short walk away from there. We could have even walked to the Performing Arts Center if we wanted to. This motel also had the added bonus of having a Papa John's basically in the parking lot! The motel breakfast is more of a snack; bagels, pastries, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, juice and coffee. I would stay here again, as long as the rate is $70 or less.

Pizza Hut in their parking lot is great for dinner when you come back from drinking around town. This hotel is within walking distance of many restaurants and bars downtown. Cheap hotel with a small bathroom but beds are comfortable so no trouble there. Great for an overnight stay while out with friends.

Room is in good condition. Breakfast was kept well stocked. Nothing fancy. But a good deal.

Acceptable room. Comfortable bed and nice pillows. Towels not so good. Walkable to some great bars and restaurants. Try the BBQ at Feast.

Don't waste your time and money going to this place. I booked a room here because this was the hotel that my friend chose to do a booking block for her wedding. The manager that handled my check-in was nice but it was all downhill hill after that. We got to the room and there were two exterior doors to the room, the one we came in and the other, which led to a back walkway beside the road that connected to other rooms. This door also had an approximately 1 cm gap at the bottom between the door and the door frame. There was mold on the bathroom ceiling. There were also no towels in the bathroom, and after having called the front desk twice without an answer we had to go down and ask for towels. Then we left to go to the wedding. On arriving back from the wedding, there were no parking. The night manager had to move his van to give us the parking space we paid for. There were people outside the hotel drinking and causing a disturbance with their motorcycles. We went to the room and attempted to go to sleep, but the noise from the people outside would not allow it. So we packed up our things and prepared to leave. When I got to the front desk, the night manager wasn't there, so I stepped back outside and asked the security guard standing there if he knew where they were. He said that he would be back shortly and that he was taking care of something in another room. When the manager walked in, he looked at me and said that everything was completely safe, without prompting.

Without question the nicest cleanest room I've ever stayed in at a hotel with outside entrances. This was my first time staying, and when I entered the room, I was shocked and how nice it was, even though as I was climbing the stairs to the third floor, I noticed the paint on the building was perfect and the corridors were very clean. Also, Tim at the desk was great, as I had accidentally booked two rooms for just myself. He did not give me any hassle and did not charge me for the extra room even though it was upon arrival and too late to cancel. If you are traveling on a budget or want to stay downtown and simply refuse to pay the Hyde prices elsewhere, do not hesitate to stay here.

Surprisingly good for an Econolodge. Friendly staff. Simple but edible free breakfast. Convenient to all of the downtown businesses. Easy parking. Well priced.

Really enjoyed my stay, an affordable price and clean room with all I needed. Maurice was exceptional with advice and assistance checking in, he added to a great visit.

The staff were particularly friendly and helpful during my stay. Maurice found us another room when the first one was not ready when we arrived early and they answered all my questions. We especially enjoyed our outing with Rich the driver who found us an ice cream shop at 10pm.

Jeff is an absolute superstar and a credit to your company, his positive attitude and help was amazing. We had a lovely stay in Louisville after a long day traveling.

Jeff was wonderful to be great at check in on Friday. He also helped me to take breakfast to my room when I was unable to do it myself.

We enjoyed our stay at Econo Lodge, it is definitely well located to everything. The staff were all very pleasant and attentive, especially Jeff, Pete and Maurice. The rooms are what they are, clean and comfortable. Beds are comfy, no complaints, I would recommend this hotel for a convenient stay.
