The grounds looked great, and it was right next to the interstate! The room was cheap, and it worked great as a sleep and shower stop! Also, the pool was nice and big and was fun for children! On the negative, one of our rooms had a masked smoky smell even in a non-smoking section. Clearly, the nonsmoking rooms have not always been nonsmoking. Imagine smoky carpet that has been cleaned and air freshened, but it hasn't quite lost its musty flavor… that was our room. Overall, a good experience for a quick night on the road. Wouldn't stay here for multiple nights!

Run down, sorta trashy. Much better places to stay that are cheaper.

It's honestly was a horrible experience. The floor in the bathroom with sticky was afraid to walk around without shoes. The shower had mold in it. The shower curtain had stuff on it I don't even know what it is nor do I want to know. The tub would not drain. Was promised that we would have bottom floors for a person that needed handicap access and reservation was not held. A breakfast is not really a breakfast there it was cereal and fruit.

Room was cleaned there are ant big time in shower. I had a dirty Wash cloth that fall on me when I shut the shower curtain when I took a shower bed was comfy other then that pillows wasn't.

We stayed on a saturday night because our daughter was in a baseball tournament for the weekend. The lady on the phone told us that the pool was ready and we get there and its not operating. The lady at the front desk wouldnt let me and my family check in early but let another member of our teams family check in early after she told us no. I was told later she was the manager. No discount was given and paying over 100 dollars for a room with the kind of environment it has is unbelieveable. Drunks were allowed to stay up and party in the courtyard while our kids were trying to sleep to prepare for a day of tournaments. 7 and 8 yr old kids. There were several different parties going on when we got there including alcoholic beverages and loud music. One of our members called the office complaining at 11 and the party was still going at 1 am. I will never stay in a days inn in elizabethtown. Rude employees. Nasty property and smelly rooms. Should have been discounted for lying about the pool. Very disappointed child. Very dissatisfied. I gave a one star because none was not an option.

This was not a good experience. Discount Coupons not accepted although they were for week days only. 100 room was actually a 50 value. Room carpet was damp. Toilet stopped up. Wi fi didn’t work. Bath tub faucet taped up. We should have complained to management but was in a hurry to leave.

The room was clean, except for the carpeting. The carpeting covering the room felt wet and grimy. Once I looked at it closer it was visibly gross too. The beds themselves, the amenities and everything else were fine. It was just the floor that grossed all of us out. We let the front desk know so hopefully they'll be cleaner for whoever stays there from now on. The Denny's being connected to the main office was great for breakfast too since we just walked there.

Rooms clean but kind of small. Had a real nice young man working at the main desk. Had a small breakfast snack.

It was ok. They charge 15.00 per pet which I think is ridiculous. I paid over 97.00 for the night and not worth that at all. I also had a druggy looking black guy knock on my door a couple of times. They do not have security.

Decent place. Nothing fancy but the attached Denny's was delicious!

The continental breakfast was a joke, the owner has a dennys in the same building, so the push is to get customers to go there.

Non smoking rooms smelt of pure smoke and their "continental breakfast" consisted of cereal without bowls and yogurt. Would not recommend.

Staff was friendly. Easy check-in and check-out. Price was discounted using Expedia to 62 a night.

Room sucked (pubes in the corner of the bathroom and on toilet, I GOT BIT, smelled terrible, felt like we (mom, brother, and myself) were getting bit all night, no sleep). But Dennys was good go check it out.

If you are paying cash you have to have 100 deposit. Go next door to super 8 get bigger bed nicer hotel and cheaper. Plus u don't need a deposit.

Ok price for a room. First room was suppose to be non-smoking room, but could clearly smell cigarette smell. Was changed to another room, but shower didn't work.

Wonderful place to stay and get a good night's sleep. Plus when you stay here, you get a great deal at Denny's, which adds to everything else.

The housekeeping staff were very attentive to my needs and always asked if I needed anything at all. Along with being very polite. I'm very satisfied and would recommend this experience to any one that just needs privacy without disturbance!

I would describe this hotel as fine. It wasn't great, but if you're looking for a cheap place to spend a night, I'd say go for it.

Front desk girl was very pleasant, handled herself extremely well with my teasing husband. We were referred to Days Inn by brother Noah Peters, who stayed here everytime he headed home to Michigan. We are now heading to Alabama for his funeral. Now we know why he stayed at Days Inn. Jasmine front desk lady very pleasant let us know about breakfast. KATHY the ray of sunshine, filling coffee cups with fresh coffee, And Dee helping to answer questions. Great team. Yes the room clean, bed nice and firm, and pillows had substance to them. Only one complaint SORRY the TV way toooooo low. Put 7 inch blocks to raise it up. Thank you for the start of a good day. Oh by the way Noah won't be returning, made reservations up high.

It's pet friendly and has a convenient place to walk dogs. That's the best I can say. The staff is indifferent. I came in early and changed my stay to 3 days from 2, but they messed it up and checked me out a day early, so when I returned on the last night, I couldn't get into my room. That was fixed easily enough and I was moved to another room, but then the staff was completely unhelpful in locating the dog food I had left in that room, or the human food I had in the fridge. I made repeated calls to the front desk, who promised to check it out and get back to me, but never did. Ultimately they said it was in the housekeeping closet and they didn't have access to it — please explain to me the sense of having a lost and found that the front desk doesn't have access to when guests come looking for their stuff! Anyway — they never made an attempt to help. I lost all of my food and the nice bag it came in, and had to drive around that night to find something to feed my dogs. The facilities themselves are what they are — nothing special, but not terrible either. The staff just doesn't care.

The room was clean, grounds were well kept and staff were super friendly. The beds/pillows were amazing, the bathroom showed a little age but that's all. The morning breakfast was pretty good cheese omelettes, big blueberry muffins, cereal, toast and excellent Maxwell house coffee.

We needed a quick bed for the night on a road trip, nothing more, and they were fine. They cost a few dollars more than if we'd driven a bit further than we did, but they were clean and very friendly. The pool looked inviting, though we didn't try it; it opened at 9 am in mid-August. Checkout was 11 am. They had a little laundromat where the first floor ice machine was, $1.25/load to wash or dry (I think), in addition to the usual hotel-done laundry service. Clean, comfortable beds with good pillows, and no sign of any sort of bugs or other pests anywhere. A close inspection would reveal some chipped tile in the bathroom, etc, but overall it was just fine. We'd have preferred to have booked by phone or in person, since we basically drove till we needed to stop and then found a place, but the front desk couldn't price match the internet even though every site we checked had the exact same quoted price — and they didn't have a rest stop paper coupon. So, we booked online (via smartphone) after talking with them, and had no further inconvenience at all.

Smallest motel room I've ever been in. Stopped here the night before the solar eclipse of 2017. It was hard to find anything available that was pet friendly even booking 2 months ahead. The room was a half mile away from the lobby and walking all that way for "breakfast" was a waste. This was the skimpiest motel breakfast ever! Plastic omelets that were already there the evening before and cold coffee. Look elsewhere.

Don't pay more than $39.99, but expect to room by some that don't respect others (because of that price). Bathrooms and sinks could use a major upgrade. Beds are stiff. Room service makes beds and replenishes towels, but they don't clean. Pool is decent. Laundry is convenient.

Crazy evening at the Days Inn. Had to get a room on the quick due to changes in travel plans. Decent price compared to everything else in the area… And everything else was booked out solid. 1. AC in room didn't work properly… But didn't find that out until I had unloaded my whole family (2x 8 month old twins and wife) … And about a weeks worth of living equipment, to include playpen/baby jail. Wife sweating, me sweating, kids fussy… Over 80 in the room. They changed our room… But it was on other side of hotel. Took me about 30 minutes to move all the stuff over. There was a hooker that was walking up and down the sidewalks of the rooms… Propositioning the open door rooms. On the other side, where I was moving us to… A dude was passed out drunk on the bottom sidewalk. They seriously need some nighttime security on site.

Charged me Almost $100 to be there 8 hours, found a dirty wash rag in the bathroom. Didn't have change to do my laundry at their own laundry room. Had to go to a restaurant to get change. Besides that ok room.

Booked online a King bed to stop while passing though. Took me 45 mins to check in (with an exhausted 2 yr old) because they were unable to honor any online reservations due to the hotel being bought and their third party credit card machine not having changed hands yet. So j had to cancel my online reservation and start over upon arrival. The manager on duty Ashley was very apologetic and offered a room at a lower rate for the inconvenience which was nice, however, I found out in the process it was a downgraded room. She said I would have king room 106 but after I took a few mins to cancel the online reservation and waited in line to check on again she said I was moved to 116 (which ended up being a queen). I immediately called the front desk to ask about the king room and was told none were available? We stayed out of pure exhaustion but the room reeked of carpet fresh which made my asthmatic daughter cough all night and the bathroom door was broken and would only push close (the doorknob didn't work and wouldn't click shut or lock). The air conditioner sounded like it had a bug in it but despite the noise worked great. Upon leaving we walked right past room 106 which was clearly unoccupied and a king bed but when I asked the girl at the desk was just told it was "probably out of order". Overall very disappointed in the experience and next time I'll spend the extra money to get a nicer hotel room.

Rooms nice and clean. Nice green are for kids to play so not coupled up the the room. Pool is fenced and clean. Rates a low for the area so it's a great deal!

Check in and check out process was quick and smooth. The shower was very dirty and had a lot of hair in it. It was a basic room… You get what you pay for.

Well I found bugs living in the light fixture in the bathroom. And to top it off I woke up with a dead spider in my bed. I'm assuming I squashed it in the middle of the night. There was no hot water when I went to take a shower as well. Will not be going back anytime soon.

Stopped in during our travels. Hotel was clean, pillows were nice, and had no issues. Would use this hotel again.

Not really sure what happened to this place. Me and my husband always stayed here when we were driving to Michigan from Florida and it was always nice. This time, the room seemed dirty, the bed was very uncomfortable, the blankets were paper thin, the fridge in the room didn't work, the toilet plugged and there was no plunger. When we came in for a room the online rate said $55 but the lady at the front desk was saying $65.99 unless we booked online. So we went outside and booked our room online on our phone. Also they charge $15 dollars per pet so we had to pay an extra $30 for our 2 dogs. That's an expensive pet fee. Next time we're in Elizabethtown, we will stay somewhere else.

The rate for the room was 140 a night on July 4th. I thought that was outrageous! The bathroom seemed clean. With clean towels and wash clothes, The beds appeared clean. There was a flat screen TV with few channels. The air conditioner was very good. The Denny's resturant you got 10% off if you were at the hotel. THere people were loud on either side of the room. It was like you could hear through the walls. The Continental Breakfast was just cereal, coffee, juice, milk, but nothing hot.

22 year old women traveling alone. Days Inn was the cheapest and best location. Staff both am and pm were very friendly. Room was good. A hot breakfast was a bonus to save myself from having to sit down at a restaurant or order fast food. Room wasn't fancy, but it was perfect for a good night's rest. I will stay here on my next trip.

There is nothing about this place that I can be nice about! The sheets were dirty, the comforter had black grease on it and all over the floor! The tub was dirty looked like it hasn't been cleaned in a long time. The shower head and curtain had black grease on it as well. The breakfast was horrible! Not to mention after we complained to switch rooms and came back that evening we learned that the manager booted us out and gave our room away! So here we are at 10:00pm at night with no room and no warning looking for a room and will possibly have to drive another 50 miles to get another room! Extremely dissatisfied! I WOULD NEVER ADVISE ANYONE TO STAY HERE! I KNOW WE WILL NOT AND NEVER WILL AGAIN! NASTY.

From the parking lot you begin to notice many red flags. The poorly maintained pavement and lot that is not easy to navigate and park is the least of your worries. Soon you will begin to see drunkards stumbling around emptying the trash out of their pockets and trying to open car and room doors, call girls hanging on their door frame waiting for the next customer, vehicles bumping into parked cars and leaving. I could go on but I'll move along to the service desk. Force your way through the jammed doors and walk into the cleanest room in the entire establishment not including Dennys next door and you will see even that is sub par. There is ample air freshener lingering to cover up the dank hole in Elizabethtown they call a hotel. The clerk will be very friendly and appear helpful as they do not actually solve any issues. They will keep tabs on anything they may charge you for, i. E. New room cards because the one that stopped working you ended up misplacing because you needed a new one anyway. Check into your new room if they haven't canceled your reservation and deleted your name yet and go on up. If your key card works you will open the door that leads outside and see it is not very sturdy or secure. Walk in and the stench of one thousand cigarettes will hit you like a slap in the face. Look around and notice that the walls, ceiling and even the smoke alarm are stained yellow from smoke.

I'm very disappointed in this place. I wouldn't stay again, ever. After driving from upstate NY, I called Days Inn to see about Tractor Trailer parking. The lady said they have a large parking lot for trucks. Upon arrival, the lot was completely full, along with massive pot holes. I checked in and the front desk advised me that everyone in the parking lot has paid to park there. Everyone that parks in the parking lot has to have a paper permit taped on the window. So I went to each truck and counted 9 trucks that didn't have it. I went back to the office to advise her of the freeloaders out there and also advised her that my company pays to have a secure place to park. She was very rude saying when maintenance will get here a 9a. M. They will check and tow all of the trucks without the permit. Now about the room. If you enjoy out dated televisions, this hotel is for you! The TV in my room did not work properly and the controller did not work at all. As a person that stays in hotels 225 days of the year, I will never stay here again. I would rather stay in my truck. At least I don't have to worry about the safety of my truck and of what's crawling in the mattress. I say that due to the other comments left. I have not spoken to the management yet, but don't worry I will, along with corporate. Due yourself a favor and find another hotel, unless you like feeling uncomfortable.

Rooms extremely clean, new carpet, beds, pillows. Staff friendly and helpful. We were traveling from North Dakota and they were very accommodating to us and our three children. Will definitely be staying here next time we visit.

First off I was told the was a continental breakfast in the morning bread, apples, and oatmeal. Not what I had in mind not even muffin. Next they say 74 dollars a night then charge 10 in "tax" for your stay. I would not recommend staying here unless no other choice in the area.

Very loud air handlers/ventilation units in small rooms with no filter. Plumbing issues (toilets wouldn't drain properly in our room and also in our neighbors room). Unclean room (not vacuumed except middle of floor). Hairs found in sheets. Front desk could not help with plumbing issues, suggested we use the gas station across the street or the lobby bathroom (over 200 yards away from our room). At the time we stayed, they were booked solid at the top rate due to youth baseball/softball tournaments in town. Unfortunately this meant kids running around late at night outside our door. In most hotels this would be fine, except at this Days Inn, noises are not muffled. The room seemed to shake from the 2nd floor walkway. That walkway doesn't seem safe to me. In the words of my daughter "Dad, this place is sketchy". If our stay were free I'd still post a bad review.

Days Inn In Elizabethtown Kentucky has BED BUGS! I will not ever stay there again! I have pictures and I will be uploading them shortly after this review. So caution they are trying to keep it hush hush BUT IF YOU DONT WANT BED BUGS STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL.

This place is nasty. Several dead bugs on the floor when I got there and several live ones when I woke up. The place smelled and the carpet was filthy. I would have left if I hadn't been so tired after traveling all day. I took pictures of the bugs and wish I could post them here. I didn't take a shower here and kept my shoes on. I pulled the bedspread down to the foot of the bed so I wouldn't have it close to my head and was was still uncomfortable crawling into bed. Nasty, Nasty, Nasty. Whatever you pay here, its not worth it.

The Good: Soft Beds? The Bad: The rooms were dirty. The carpet felt like it had been wet at some point. There were water bugs in the rooms and one of my crew mates said he had cockroaches in his room. There was mildew in the grout in the bathrooms. The Television only had thirty channels, and five of those went out due to poor equipment placing. The internet was slower than my grandmother's driving. It was noisy. The Ugly: The cleaning staff would go into your rooms and take things like pocket change, medication, or credit card receits. They went into three of my crew mates' rooms and stole anywhere from thirty dollars to actual controlled medication. This is not the first I've heard about this theft either. There are other reviews and other guests have complained about the thefts. The management seems to not be concerned with it. All in all, stay somewhere else. For sixty-five dollars a night, this place is not worth it. I've stayed in better motels for cheaper.

TV static so bad you would think it was being transmitted from earth's moon, Wi-Fi slower than 300 baud modem in china, run down, one ice machine for all rooms, staff doesn't know which rooms have refrigerator or microwave (ours had neither), floors slope toward outside railing,. The worst Motel 6 is better than this $79/night Days Inn room. When making trips to the front office you'll walk through the "employee smoke shack" corridor. Some may like the fact it's attached to a Dennys, however. Maid service was good and showers were great.
