Much better than out previous Motel 6 stay. Room was decent, especially for the price. After 15 hours of driving, I was pleased to get a room. While the motel was pretty clean, the stairwells were pretty filthy. Right priorities, but the stairs were our first impression. Strong cigarette smell in halls was concerning, as indoor smoking is not permitted in Colorado, but we were in Kansas where they do things differently. Thankfully, room did not have odor.

Great place to stay. Staff were tremendously helpful. C. C. The manager, was absolutely incredible. Very clean, very attractive room (great colors). Of all the Motel 6's we've stayed, ever, this was by far the best.

We've stayed here many times and it is usually just fine for the money. I think they need to step up their game in the maintenance department. I feel like housekeeping could have done a better job. It is still okay if you just need a place to sleep and not looking for luxury.

Two beds only one was made completely… The other only had sheets, no pillows and no blanket. Room smelled musty. Bathroom fan was loud. AVOID room 311. I wouldn't rate this hotel horrible because the last room we stayed in at this same hotel was great.

The room itself was good. The AC was noisy but it is expected with any Motel window unit. I was on the second floor and needed some sleep before a late night work assignment. I could hear every conversation at the front desk between the clerk and all the guests. I think it was more my room location (220), but I was not able to get the rest I was anticipating. Also it was a pain to charge my electronics. Outlets were not very accessible. Also I don't know whose name came up on my review here as it is not me. So your snooping software has done a poor job of identifying me.

I was pleased overall with the accommodations. The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean — for the most part. Housekeeping should lift the couch cushions and clean underneath. There were a lot of crumbs and crud under the cushions, as well as 30 cents. I discovered this as I checked for bed bugs, which I always do at any hotel. My room was free of bed bugs. Also, it would be nice if the road leading to the motel wasn't riddled with potholes. I didn't like the fact that prices were jacked up due to all the people coming into town for graduation. $30 price hike is quite excessive.

The air conditioner was not great. Cooler in hallway than in the room. Bathroom shower leaked and shower curtain sucked. Bathroom sink was clogged, I even bought liquid Plummer to put in the sink. The room was clean & bed slept comfortably. No ironing board or iron & no hair dryer.

Staff was excellent! Very helpful over the phone when I needed to adjust reservations. Older facility, but clean. Some updates may be necessary to doors, bedding & other fixtures.

Not enough money invested in what once was a nice Motel. Room had cobwebs and dead bugs. Probably not used recently. No breakfast — — water. Front desk was very friendly. Bed was comfortable, cheap bedding. Rate charged was too much for what you get.

There was an outbreak of bedbugs. I had to put all my stuff in bags to kill all of the bugs. There was no one at the front desk when we got there for at least 20 minutes. The staff couldn’t even have conversations with us because they were so strung out. There was literal throw up on our wall. There was either blood or food on our bed. All around terrible place to stay. 0/10 would not recommend.

It was a busy weekend in Lawrence and many of the hotels in town were booked to capacity. I called Motel 6 to inquire if they had any rooms available and if so how much the price would be. I was met on the phone with a woman that was incredibly rude, after asking I got a "we're all sold out" and an immediate hang up. The next day I checked online again and was in fact able to book a room. I only stayed for one night, and therefore packed lightly, there was no shampoo in the room which was mildly frustrating. There was also a problem with the door, opening and closing from inside the room was fine, but when we went to leave to go out for the evening the door would not shut from outside of our room. I had to rig it from the inside and pull it shut in order to keep my belongings safe. I stay in Lawrence often, I just think I can find a cleaner and better kept hotel for the price I paid.

Front desk attendant was incredibly friendly, the location is conveniently right off of the interstate, and they’re pet friendly (with no additional fee — best part and main selling point for us). The room itself was of nice quality, but was quite dirty. I was really unsure if it had even been cleaned (water/toothpaste marks on sink and mirror, dirt/dust on floor, bed poorly made, sheets a mess, etc. ) but was only stopping briefly and was so tired from the drive I didn’t want to mess with a new room and luckily we had our own blankets. There were also weird unfinished drywall patches (fingers crossed we weren’t in the room that the murder I read about in the news took place). If you’re only looking for a quick, cheap stop that’s pet friendly this place does the trick.

I stopped here during a storm staff had no idea if doors were secure after a power outage I didn’t stay the night.

It was unfortunate that a guest chose to be unruly at 10:30 pm and created chaos until about midnight. The front desk manager did an excellent job of getting law enforcement to remove the guest. She did everything right. It was just one of those times when I had just dropped into a deep sleep from being exhausted from long day of driving and then was startled awake by commotion. No blame to anyone but the guest but that is the reason for the average rating. Also there were ants in the sink.

Very clean, like the blue/grey decor much better than the orange/grey.

Room was not cleaned well. Gross stuff on wall. Might as well slept in car the room had no door insulation from hallway you could hear noise so loud you could never sleep I was awoken over 20 times all night I was exhausted when arriving while leaving feeling as if never rested all all. At one point someone was running up and down hallway deliberately stomping feet like a kangaroo. Staff was nice and pleasant but would not wish that place on my worst enemy.

Arrived late, with children (cats), and staff was professional and welcoming (made sure I knew when coffee would be out), I got a 2 queen nonsmoking room. Three like new pillows per bed, and the mattresses were very comfortable, even though I prefer a bit softer, slept great regardless. Quiet, very little noise from hallway, outside and no noise from other rooms. I was surprised at the clean rooms and modern decor, mostly due to the fact I chose based on price ($55ish per night), and will stay here in the future. The only disadvantage is being in North Lawrence there is not a super close grocery store, but fast food nearby.

Nice day at Motel 6 was very wonderful and pleasant. Their housekeepers are very polite friendly and have wonderful sense of humor's and they always make sure towels for fresh sheets for fresh & my room smelt wonderfully fresh. And then wonderful manager who has trained her staff and has made Motel 6 one of the best places to stay in Lawrence Kansas thank you for my wonderful experience!

When we got there the girl checking us in was having a problem on the computer and asked us if we had something else to do for awhile! We just drove for 3 hrs and wanted to rest. When we came back she said she was on the wrong screen. You need to teach your people better! The refrigerator made a noise all night like some one breathing heavy. In the morning we woke up to a sound like someone plunging our toilet. It was the bathtub backing up. When I tried to shower I couldn’t figure out how to get the shower to work. Meanwhile the tub is filling up with water and drained very slowly. Never got our showers! I went to the front desk and complained saying I wanted a refund! She said nothing could be done until Monday when CC her boss came in. I left my name and phone number for her to call me in a notebook and still have heard nothing! I am very angry and will never ever stay at a motel 6 again. I still want a refund!

Well everything started out good. Great price for a single man like me. Once in the room, I needed a spoon for my medicine and food to take with it. To the coffee area I go but they don't supply spoons… Back in the room I was told I had Wi-Fi, but it didn't work. And last, In the morning when there was suppose to be coffee to help an old man on the road, nothing was made, all I got was have a safe trip Mr. Fox… So, what would you write about out of all that?

Clean and spacious rooms with a friendly staff. Was very pleased with the price and amenities. Especially with few other options in the area.

The best thing I liked about my stay was the staff. While the hotel was a little older and there was a little trouble with the carpeting in the hallways, the staff was extremely pleasant an easy to deal with. The rooms were all modernized with big flat-screen TVs, nice beds, properly functioning and quiet A/C. My only complaint was that I'm used to having little bottles of shampoo along with the soap in the bathrooms. I hadn't packed my own so had to make do with hand-soap. However, in the defense of the hotel, their staff was so helpful I suspect if I had asked they would have had some for me. Summary: if you are traveling light and need an inexpensive place to stay, I recommend this particular Motel 6.

The place is cheap, but you get what you pay for I guess. The place overall is very run-down and worn, the room smelled like urine, and the paint is cracked/peeling. The hallway and stairwell reeked of pot/marijuana smoke, so the front desk gal came and sprayed air freshener to try to cover up the smell. I will say though that the front desk clerk was very sweet and helpful. Honestly, you could not pay me to stay here ever again.

Don't let the outside fool you! Lol… (Landscape is a little neglected) but other than that I was really impressed with how nice the rooms are! The room was large, bed was extremely comfortable and most of all very clean. The the updated decor too!

The room was really nice! Loved the air conditioning! However, our room had no big towels in it so my brother had to dry himself off with a hand towel (the ONLY hand towel) and when I went to get a big towel for myself they gave me one but I think they charged me? Which I wasn't too pleased about. But over all it was a very comfortable stay!

This is a great place to stay on a budget. They are pet friendly with no fee or deposit and the woman at the front desk was super nice and helpful. Just to be clear, this is a budget motel; don't expect the Ritz. The room was as clean and comfortable as one can expect from a budget place. Not bad for around $60.

The room was very nice — — clean and roomy. The afternoon desk clerk was very friendly and did all she could to try to find out where the shrill whining sound was coming from in our room. (it turned out to be our unplugged oxygen machine! ) DUH! Thanks for a very pleasant stay.

As a no-frills motel, it was just fine. They had a flood the previous week on their ground floor so were still in the midst of repairing some walls and floors. The beds were comfortable and the room fairly large with a tiny bathroom. We stayed because they were pet-friendly and had a convenient location.

Couldn't take a bath because the plug mechanism was faulty. The shower partially worked, one third flow through the shower head, two thirds flow through the faucet. The wash basin's plug lever was missing, so could not hold water. The TV remote had to be replaced by the staff.

We were happy with our room. It's a Motel 6 folks, not a Hilton. Room was clean, room 109, smelled clean, no stale smoke smell that others mentioned, and friendly staff, morning and night.

Absolutely horrible. They jacked up the price for a game day stay. This is a $50/night place at best. It looks like they have completed a recent partial renovation recently but the "non-smoking" room seems to be just smoked in and like someone was still smoking in it our entire stay. The AC was terrible and looks like it was used for an ash tray. We tried another room but experienced the same horrible thing. We stayed out late and left early the next morning — stinking like cigarette smoke. We both had sore throats from staying in there and my eyes were swollen and my face puffy. Chest hurt as well due to coughing. This place should be shut down and Motel 6 should not affiliate with this motel. I wish I could give this place a negative rating.

We stayed in room 106. The armchair in the corner was stained, all three chairs looked like they were from the early 80's. The sink had a few moments where it gurgled like water might come up out of the drain, the window runners were very dirty & I had my doubts about the security of the lock on the window. The bed linens were clean but dingy, and there was mold on the bathroom ceiling. The bathroom door did not close all the way. I was a little concerned about touching anything. Looking around the room, I got the impression that it had had water damage at some point in the past… newer floors, a poor patch job around the showerhead, and a newer toilet. The pros (if you could call them that) : bed comfort was acceptable, the a/c worked well enough, the water pressure was fine, and the TV was fairly new. Also, the housekeeper, who knocked on the door as I was about to leave (around 8 a. M.! ), made the effort to come outside and find us to give us something we had left behind, a gesture that was much appreciated. The lobby looks deceptively nice compared to what the room looked like. If it hadn't been so late already, I would have insisted on leaving. Lawrence is lovely, but this place is a hole.

Good quiet location and easy access.

I stayed at the location in Lawrence Kansas upon entry it was clean the staff friendly and helpful the room clean amenities were full and the view was decent enough the accommodations great for the price also there was a microwave and a fridge Both in the room things I find you either have to request or pay exorbitant funds to obtain in slightly nicer establishments overall I am happy with my stay I would of course suggest it again to anybody else looking for an economic efficient and well accommodated stay.

Pleasant place to stay for the price no complaints. Got in late and left early.

If an option existed for zero stars I would use that. This is the most disgusting place I have ever had the misfortune of attempting to stay. Upon check in (well past 1900 hrs) the were not clean rooms. I had to wait for them to begrudgingly clean a room after attempting to check me into an uncleaned one. The A/C in the hotel was turned off. Not broken or nonworking for some reason, we were simply told it was turned off. There was something leaking into the bathroom (fluid) that we never did figure out what it was. I booked a non smoking room and was given a smoking room (based on the smell and the ash trashes) and was told it was non smoking. All around a horrible experience.

Zero stars. Terrible. Dirty room, dirty tables, black mold in the window, extention cords with broken plug. Mold in the bathroom. Couldn't see out of the window because of some kind of white growth. Electrical outlets hanging out of the wall. I never even changed clothes here, I was so grossed out. Slept on top of bed with my own blanket underneath me, no cover. Wish I could share the pics I took. Don't stay here. The lobby "coffee" area was also really nasty looking. The cabinets had not been wiped in quite awhile. Again, don't stay here!

Very expensive for the condition 113.88 two nights just me and my dog Joliet loop drive m6 better cameron mo was nice to lawrence ks not nice to expensive.

Never again! Very powerful stale smoke odor when first opening our room door, this was supposed to be a non smoking room. Then the light above the desk did not even have a light bulb in it, the carpet had not been vacuumed. The room had a shortage of outlets and TV was plugged into an extension cord. The exhaust fan cover in the bathroom was hanging out away from the wall. All of this was bad, but the worst was when we pulled the bedding back and noticed the sheets were dirty and wrinkled making clear that they had not been changed. When I went to the front desk to see about getting some clean bedding on the bed he told me that all of his cleaning staff had already gone home, I told him I would make the bed if he would just get me some clean bedding, and he did promptly provide clean sheets. After putting the clean sheets on the bed, I noticed he had not provided clean pillow cases so I returned to the front desk and asked for pillow cases which he gave me. First contact when I called to make the reservation was good, person I talked to on the phone was very polite when he took my reservation, and I am assuming he was the same very polite person that greeted us at the front desk and provided me with clean sheets and then pillowcases. At no point during all of this was any discount offered, and I cannot say it makes much difference. Even if we were staying at a $39.
