Thank you, Quality Inn, for a comfortable night’s sleep. Tara was great at the front desk when there was a yippy little dog that would not stop barking, disturbing half the floor. Thank you for the breakfast, as well. As a budget hotel, you could offer just cereal and bread and call it a day but the hot options are very welcome. What isn’t welcome, however, is the amount of waste, namely plastic waste that is both in the rooms and breakfast area. Utensils are plastic, plastic cups are used ONCE and thrown away to portion out pancake batter. Why? Couldn’t this just be set up in order to pour directly onto the waffle griddle? When I was trying to figure out how to use the dispenser, an employee came in to show me how. When she goes to grab one of the plastic cups, I tell her I don’t want to use plastic. She says, “it’s not for you” and proceeds to pour a little amount into the cup to show me how to do it and then throws the cup away. Maybe better educating your employees not to be so wasteful would not only be environmentally beneficial but SAVE YOU MONEY. Do you really want to be wasting your money like that? In the bedroom there are the usual plastic shampoos, conditioners, etc, all in single use plastic containers, but also various convenience items like sugar, coffee, etc. That either get used once and tossed or scattered around and then tossed anyway by the cleaning staff.

This is the type of people that work for quality inn.

Pool was broken, Rooms were DISGUSTING, no elevator, air did not work well, we are traveling to St Louis from Colorado and were looking forward to the pool that they advertise and couldn't use it and our room was very dirty. The front desk lady was nice, the only good thing I can say. Will not recommend this Hotel.

Staff is welcoming and helpful. Older property but well maintained. Has an indoor pool and hot tub that was a nice surprise. Beds are updated and comfortable. I stayed here while my sis was in the local hospital and got a preferred rate. Continental breakfast was great, nice variety. Great coffee! I'd stay here again.

The staff is very accommodating and joyful. Would we return? Yes we would. A very enjoyable evening after a long day on the road. Who do you turn to? Quality Inn hotels that’s who.

The rooms were clean and nice (great for the price point) ; the hot tub and pool were delightful; the breakfast was excellent (much more than "continental breakfast" would imply—everything from hot eggs/bacon/gravy to waffles and almond milk) ; and, in particular, the service was warm and friendly, taking the time to play with our rambunctious 2-year-old and making him a care package to take on the road. Highly recommended; would stay again if we travel that route again.

I saw a spider when we first got in the room, but it gave the wrong impression. The beds, floor and bathroom were clean. The water pressure strong, water got hot fast. The “dinky” looking ac unit worked, and had a steady noise — so I could sleep. The breakfast area was small but had waffles, eggs, sausage gravy, whole milk, toast, real butter — I was very happy. It didn’t scream “luxury” but I would recommend it to others.

Very nice accommodations. The breakfast was good. We were given a room right next to the front desk and weren't woken up by any loud noises. Comfy bed. The toilet is literally RIGHT on top of the paper though…

Fast check in. Clean rooms. Good breakfast. Indoor pool. Not a lot of people. Always are go to hotel. Worth the money.

Kelli was wonderful had a couple issues she totally took care of everything. Stayed in the way to Colorado and on our way back home. Honestly we will always stay at this location when traveling to Colorado.

Terrible experience! Took 45 minutes to get checked in. Desk clerk commented he has never done this before. I paid by Hotwire and at check in ran my Discover Card and charged me for a room I already paid for. I questioned this at time of check in. Hotel management very inept to correct as I had to call Discover to dispute the charge. Ugh!

Got double billed on room. Desk clerk commented had never done this before. Hotel manager pushed me off on Hotwire which was an error on hotel. Need to train their employees.

It was fantastic service, a great breakfast, and a comfy room. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is because there was no fitness center and the air conditioner in the room was ridiculously loud. Not perfect, but definitely not a bad stay.

Front desk help was amazing. Both evening and morning. Professional appearance and friendly attitude, made you feel at home. Breakfast was superb above expectations, great variety, hot and delicious. The rooms and dining areas were clean, neat, and well stocked. The bed was comfy and cozy. We have stayed at many hotels and we felt this one deserved a great review.

Nice for a quick overnighter. Pool was warm, hot tub a little warmer. Had a little girls party in the pool before us and by the time we got there the water was REALLY cloudy, proof that girl's pee in the pool regardless of their protest that "girls would never do that" Bring your own pool testing kit. The staff was great. However, no hot water for shower, the manager said that I should take a shower at a different time of morning. The microwave didn't work because there was no place to plug it in.

It was nice, a bit far from the road. The room was clean but very warm. The hot tub was nice as well.

The sign on the backdoor claims "Always locked for security". However it was broken and didn't even fully close much less lock. The small fridge in the room still had food in it from the last guests. The walls were thin. You didn't just have to listen to the people upstairs walking around, you got to hear anyone and everyone in the hotel walking. The pool was freezing, but the hot tub was decent. At least the sheets were clean and we didn't see signs of bug life. Breakfast was ok in the morning and there was hot coffee.

Good location. We were driving from Kansas to Colorado and Hays was a great pitstop for a night. The rooms are clean and bed is comfortable. The only qualm I have about the inn is the weak plumbing of the toilet, bathtub and sink. And the toilets are way too small. But overall, I'll recommend this inn to anyone who just need a safe and comfortable place to rest for the night.

I cannot say enough good things about this hotel and the wonderful people who run it. My granddaughter and I had a long trip to Hays and we were exhausted and the manager allowed us to check in early. They have a wonderful indoor pool and hot tub which we took full advantage of, the softest beds I have ever slept on, and a free breakfast that was out of this world — scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, waffles, cereal, juices, and much more. The management treated us like we were special guests! If you do end up in Hays, take time to see the Fort Hays Historical Site — it is fantastic!

The hotel itself is nice. They never seem to answer the phone when I try to call though. Doesn't matter what day of the week or time of day. When I went there in person I noticed they were always quick to answer the phone. I stayed here in late April for 3 nights and the toilet started to overflow without anyone even using it. I went to the front desk and the woman gave me a single towel and then just sat there looking at the ground like it wasn't her problem. I left something of mine there and they said they would mail it to me (they didn't have my address) I kept trying to call. Weeks went by without anything and tried calling never got an answer. I drove three hours there to pick it up and the woman working was very nice, but said she couldn't do anything because her manager wasn't there. I left my email, address and phone number and was told they would get a hold of me. Here I am a week later and nothing.

This place was pretty poor. I booked a room with queen beds and was initially put into a room with full beds. We were able to switch rooms, but it was a hassle. But what really got me was that I chose this place because it had a hot tub and pool, which looked nice in the pictures. But the hot tub was awful — the water actually felt cool to the touch and was full of nasty foam. Based on a previous review, I thought the management was going to take care of that issue, but it hadn't been done yet. The pool was dirty — cloudy with sediment on the bottom. I don't mind a modest room that hasn't been updated (and it definitely hadn't been), but this place was actually dirty. There were multiple hairs in the bathtub — pretty gross. I wouldn't stay here again.

My husband, children and I enjoyed our stay at the Quality Inn in Hays Kansas. The room was clean, the beds were very comfortable. Our boys had fun in the pool. The breakfast had a lot of choices and it was good. The coffee was good with several good creamers to choose from… not that crappy powdered stuff. We would definitely stay there again!

They said pet friendly. Warning they are not! Only dogs allowed. If you speak English, pets means inclusive. But the worse thing is this. The first room had blood stains. Bedbug blood stains. We asked for a second room. There was larvae eggs on the sheets. We should have left after the first problem. The third one we pulled back the sheets and spiders came out! I was horrified and creeped out. My husband was mad because we had to find another hotel. Priceline reimbursed me but that was the absolute worst hotel experience.

Very nice people working here. At 1st I thought this place was a little dumpy, but the rooms were quite nice and clean. The beds were the best part. VERY soft.

We checked in about 3 AM. The night manager was very helpful. The room was nice, clean, had a very comfortable bed. Bath was clean plenty of HOT water, great shower head. Breakfast was far better than I expected. Fresh Belgian waffles, good biscuits and gravy, fresh eggs, sausage, bagels, oatmeal and a couple of dry cereal choices. Leigh, the General manager was asking every guest at breakfast if there was anything they needed. ALL the staff were helpful and friendly, even the housekeeping staff and the guy performing pool and hot tub cleaning. I had driven about 400 miles the night before so I was able to relax in the hot tub before checking out. I've stayed in many motels over the past 35 years, and this Quality Inn was one of the best overall experiences I've had, an Outstanding value overall.

Employees were very knowledgeable about places to eat and price range. Building was older, worn down but was clean.

Careful this place does not take cats only dogs under 25 pounds. This was my mistake : — (

The staff were very friendly, way better than most others out there, the room we got was clean. Comfortable beds and clean bathroom and shower. I will however say the parking lot in the back is a bit sketchy but no where nearly as much as other places around town from what we had seen.

It's a little run down. For some reason there were quite a few people just hanging out behind the hotel. Not sure if guests or not, just seemed odd. Overall though everything went fine.

There was an oops in the reservation of our room from online and the manager was amazing, making sure she made it right. We had a wonderful time in Hays and when our car broke down they were very helpful and helped us as much as they could. The employees were very nice. Their breakfast was awesome every morning that we stayed. We also had so much fun in the indoor pool and hot tub. I would definitely recommend this motel very much.

Very clean, well maintained, friendly staff. Breakfast was good too. Parking is tight but if you are looking for a good place to sleep without the frills and for half the price of most other chains, this is it.

Rooms were great but the parking was terrible. Have to park in the back with only one way into the parking area had to wait 5 minutes for a pizza delivery person to move their car (entry is only one1.5 cars wide)

Remodel is nice, beds were REALLY comfortable, quiet rooms, nice staff. The pool was kinda dirty looking but overall fun for the kiddos…

On our way from Colorado to Norman OK we are stranded in Hays. We are many motels on Interstate, but directly to the quality Inn, because of our positive experience from Colorado Springs.
The motel is quiet. The pool is with its fragrances all present. The rooms are OK heater with decent performance. More restrained operation at the counter. Breakfast very alright. Solid place for a night!
For the dinner a tip. 10 percent at Applebee's discount as hotel users. Approx. 500m turn right back to the Interstate. Delicious steaks for $11 and drinkable beer!. Have a good trip!
