Wonderful staff we had a gorgeous room with high ceilings and very clean and up to date. Highly recommend if you are in the area.

I booked a reward night with my hard earned points. We were on the way back from Colorado and got caught in a snowstorm that made the hotel unreachable that night. I called and canceled the reservation. I was then charged full price for the room. After multiple calls to the hotel and customer service, I was never able to reach a manager to even speak about the issue. I was told they would contact me multiple times, and called them and IHG multiple times with no success. I am a Spire member and only stay at IHG hotels. This is unacceptable and my reason for canceling was unavoidable. Horrible communication and zero try to make it right on their part. Not happy.

Not a single employee wore a mask, and one unmasked employee stepped on the elevator with us. With travelers from across the country, we'd expect that Holiday Inn would do more to protect its employees and guests. I'd recommend avoiding this location for the foreseeable future.

As soon as my husband and I hit the bed we were sound asleep very comfortable Clean and friendly the guy with the beer that found us our Room was super nice.

Holiday Inn has always been exceptional when I stay there on my trips highly recommended in my book.

Comfy room. Excellent firm mattresses. Best sleep I've had in a year or so. There were a lot of plugins for charging devices. The heated pool was great. I loved the continental breakfast. They had fresh pancakes, scrambled eggs, biscuits & gravy, assorted pastries, and other small items. I had a great stay.

This is the very best Holiday Inn Express that I have ever stayed in. Fitness facility, pool, meeting rooms, updated dining room, very clean, very we'll managed!

Check in was in order and I got a room on the 3rd floor in a quieter part of the hotel. The room itself is huge and I did not lack for space as a solo traveler. As the attached pictures show, it came complete with fridge, microwave, coffee maker, a couch and a separate desk and work area. Bathroom was nice and spacious with nice amenities. The bathroom exhaust fan sounded like it could wake up half the street for the 10 minutes or so I had it on every morning. I stayed 5 nights at this property. For the first 3 days I would faithfully hang up my towel after I showered, only to come back in the evening to find not only the Towel replaced, but also the soap! So much for the high and mighty stuff about protecting the environment by reducing the number of Towels they wash blah, blah, blah. See picture of placard that they place in the bathroom even. Pathetic when it comes to walking the talk. Lousy, lousy, lousy. Something so simple they cant manage. Wi-Fi worked OK on most days I was there. Did have some trouble initially and they had to put me in touch with their Toll Free Tech support. After going through the initial checks to make sure I was not a Neanderthal, I had the computer actually turned ON etc. We were able to get me connected. I used the Gym almost every day. Very well appointed. I used the laundry service and this works quite well. No complaints. Breakfast had the usual elements in it. I am not much of a breakfast person.

The rooms were clean and we'll appointed. The breakfast was good enough. The staff was helpful. The washer/drier worked well. The price was right.

Clean and quiet room with a hot breakfast the next morning — that's all I needed, but that's only part of the reason for the 5-star rating. I was just passing through and only stayed for a night's rest and a hot breakfast before hitting the road. Holiday Inn Express caters to this very well, and even offered a discount due my short stay (short stay: I checked-in after midnight and I left before checkout next day) I stayed at 3 hotels during my trip across the country (east to west), all stops were Holiday Inn Express, and all of them were excellent. That's undeniable consistently. Great work! Thanks for the hospitality guys, I'll be back.

I would suggest that no one go to this particular Holiday Inn. If they think you smoked they will add a $250 charge without your knowledge and after you have checked out. As well, the sheets feel like sandpaper. So if you are looking for a good nights rest in a comfortable bed. This is not the place to go.

A little pricier than the basic hotels, like Motel 6 and Hays Inn, but you can be sure to get a nice room, quiet place to sleep, and friendly and helpful staff.

Very friendly staff. Room was very clean. Good water pressure. Room could use an extra blanket (but I was very tired and didn't call for one either). Would stay there again.

Great hotel. We had to pull over due to icy conditions on I-70 and this ended up being a an excellent place to stay. Clean, neat, good mattresses and an excellent breakfast included.

Staff was very friendly & helpful. Rooms were clean. Shower head worked well (some hotels have issues with that). Good pricing and location for traveling.

Get into the room heater was set at 100. Try turning the a. C. On would not stop blowing out hot air. Call front desk, they tell me to turn a. C. On like I'm dumb. Ya already tried that. Finally get someone up to room, while they're trying to fix it ask for another room since it's so miserable. They tell me well we can't give you another room because well lose out on the other room. It's not my fault your heater/a. C. Is broken. How rude. Also they do not have a hot tub anymore not sure why they have pictures up like they have one. Breakfast was basic. The eggs were always out, plenty of people were waiting for some. Was there for a good 25 minutes and never got any. I also woke up with a back ache and had it all day (I never get back aches) Would never stay here again.

Feels brand new. Room was clean and comfy. Breakfast was great too. We'll stay here again.

We chose this hotel because we wanted a nice place, and one that had a hot tub that we could relax in after we checked in. They advertise a hot tub, there are pictures of the hot tub on this very site. But when we walked in it had been filled in with cement and tiled over. I politely asked the clerk at the front desk about it and he was extremely rude. Didn't so much as say I'm sorry and I'll pass it along to a manager or something of that nature. I told him it was advertised on their website and he just said "Oh it is? " Turned around and didn't say another word to me. Considering how many people have complained about this very issue on here I think the fact that they have done nothing to correct the matter says a lot about the management there.

Stayed here recently, not the nicest Holiday Inn but it is ok. They advertised a hot tub but when we arrived we found the hot tub had been filled in and tiled over. The swim pool was on the cold side of temps. The room was alright. The breakfast was good. Overall 4 stars.

One of the better upscale motels in the area at a fair rate with a lot more privilege and open rains of the hole facility. I highly recommend this spot if your looking for a quite night or a fun filled one. Staff is like family.

Very nice room. Coldest mini fridge I have ever seen. Cold enough to freeze a bottle of water, lemonade, coke to slushy consistency on the door not even in the middle. I loved it. Great night sleep also.

Very nice rooms. The indoor pool was great fun for my daughter. Super awesome breakfast.

So, it's way too expensive for where it's located. They slip a paper under your door with one price then charge you $25 more than that. We stayed in the suite and the bed was broken. It sagged down in the middle and was very uncomfortable. We didn't call the receptionist because our kids were already asleep and didn't want to have to move them. We called in the morning and the manager was nice enough to offer to refund half the cost… But then she charged us instead of refunding us… Not only did she charge us the original over the receipt amount but also the amount that was supposed to be refunded… twice! So instead of our room being $115… We were charged $258. Then they blamed us… Corporate office was also rude. Pay the extra $10 and find a Best Western… They've really stepped up their game… Better rooms, better breakfast, and better attitudes!

Nice room, good breakfast, fine place. One thing is silly. This was in the middle of Midwest and $140 a night, they had a printed envelope in the room asking for tips for their house cleaners. Give them a raise. Why should we be expected to give them money for doing their job. Give them a raise.

So hotels located north of I-70 on the main road. The interior was very clean and nice and modern. The room itself was very neat and clean and seem to be up to date with your typical Hotel. Overall the experience was good however I do believe the price was a little expensive. If you stay at this hotel expect to pay a base of $150 but by the time you get out the door it's $175.

The staff is friendly, the facilities are nice and at the time they were working on doing improvements, the food was good. The only complaint that I have, is the cold indoor pool and no hot tub. They have filled the hot tub with concrete. I am guessing something is not working with the pool.

My stay was pleasant and the staff were helpful. I did ask for a hypoallergenic pillow and the night staff said they didn't have any. I hope they will get some. Breakfast was what I expected and I didn't really have any negative experiences.

Location was conveniently off the interstate and was easy to find. The rooms were clean and had everything necessary for an overnight stay. The service was great. They are currently remodeling the entire hotel so everything was updated and looked very nice! Would stay there again on my way out west!

Comfy bed, great A/C. Room was smaller than I expected, based off of their online photos. Coffee in the room wasn't very good.

A Great Faciltiy located North of the town, next to the I-70 Interstate system, and conveniently a Wal-Mart you can walk to in nice weather.

Refeshing, I love walking into a holiday inn express lobby, they all smell the same across the nation.

Very clean and new inside. Staff is friendly and accommodating to any needs. Free breakfast is a plus, though it might not be amazing. A good place to stop for the night on the way through Kansas. Has a pool, a nice gym, conference center, etc.

Was only there for a business meeting but I was very impressed by the meeting rooms and common areas of the hotel — this is something that has been lacking in Hays for a long time.

Just passing through and found this great place to sleep for a night after a long drive.

I tried to reserve a room with Marjorie at the front desk. She was very rude when she explained that they did have rooms available but they would not accept my IHG points. I stayed at the HIE in Goodland KS last week end and had no problem using my points.

Nice room. Everything was clean, and the kids loved the breakfast (esp. The pancake machine).

Great facility, love the decor! Comfortable beds, clean modern room, great breakfast. Our room had a fridge and a microwave which is always appreciated when we travel.

I have stayed at this hotel for over a year now due to business and have several pros and cons. Pros: Clean, good sized rooms, good location, *mostly* friendly staff — the lower they are on the company's hierarchy, the nicer and more accommodating they are. Cons: — Absolutely awful for extended-stay accommodations. However, nowhere in Hays, KS offers any extended-stay amenities such as a full sized sink or kitchenette. — Stairs on either end of the building, but the slowest elevator in the world in the center (and no stairs to bypass it). May seem petty, but try lugging groceries 2-3 times a week because you only have a mini fridge and a microwave. — If you opt out of room service, you're ignored completely. The Hampton right across the street at least gives you a gift basket of toiletries every so many days so you don't have to waltz to the front desk for a roll of toilet paper when you're in need. — Absolutely AWFUL internet connection. This is my biggest pet peeve, especially when my company is spending tens of thousands of dollars a year to put me in a hotel for 3 weeks a month and I can't even work effortlessly on an internet that doesn't freeze every 3 minutes. The Baymont on the other side of I-70, though smaller rooms, has incredible internet access. I even tried using a wire and bypassing the wireless connection, and Holiday Inn Express still failed miserably. Simply not enough bandwidth to carry more than 2 people using the internet in the entire hotel.

I have stayed at this hotel many times and for many weeks at a time. I like the fitness room, because they have more to offer (like weights) that others don't have. The hotel staff is friendly (Sammie). I just recently seen the review about the motorcycle nazi. I ride and I think that when I have my bike, I would like to have it up front within site. This is BS and I plan on moving to another hotel.

Jim, Thanks for the heads up on the anti-motorcycle manager. I need to stay in Hays and Holiday Inn Express is always my first choice. I will move on over to the Hampton Inn. Thanks again for the warning! jf.
