Highly recommend the Douglas Inn and Suites in Cleveland TN. Very friendly and helpful staff, and very nice accommodations. I’ll definitely stay here again when my travels bring me their way at end of day!

It was comfortable. Breakfast had a good selection for the price. It wasn't as clean as I expected based on the reviews (stained ironing board cover). The outside is deceiving — the rooms are nicer than the building looks on the outside. Needed to wash clothes after whitewater rafting, and found out the laundry room closes at 9pm, so we weren't able to wash clothes. Pet-friendly apparently means people can bring a truck load of german shepards that would wake you up with their barking! Staff was friendly!

First the positives — very friendly, curtious and helpful staff. The breakfast (which is all we had) was very good. The negative — I had significant security issues in that to get to the lobby from our room, my daughter and her friend had to walk some of the way outside the motel. No direct route inside. I feared for family's safety. My daughter is likely to post other issues. Our next trip, we will be in a different motel.

I enjoyed my stay. The family suite was amazing. It was the perfect amount of space for my family of 6 to be able to spread out. The accommodations were clean and spacious.

I've stayed here a few times. Always friendly staff, and hotel is in good condition for its age. Rooms are not spotless, but can tell they're clean. Breakfast is decent, and if you don't like it cracker barrel is next door.

I did not stay in this room but was stopping in as a friend who was staying there was picking something up from his room. His room was very nice with one bedroom, a kitchen, pull out sofa, and a recliner. If I didn't already live in the town where this hotel is, I would consider staying in it, especially when I learned how cheap it was for all the room he had.

Simple, clean, and comfortable independent inn. It's two levels, with motel rooms on the bottom and interior rooms on top. The rooms are an older layout, but super functional. They've had a lot of common sense updates — a big granite desk and a recliner in place of that awkward dinette set that all motels used to have. Instead of two dressers, there is a mid-height console with a microwave and lots of drawers. And the sink has been replaced with a streamlined console vanity. Everyone I interacted with on staff seemed like a high-quality human. Real sweeties. They serve a decent breakfast from 6-9:30 AM. There's a small breakfast room that invites enjoyable interactions with other travelers. The coffee is soul-shatteringly terrible, but there's a Jittery Joe's right next door.

Clean, well-maintained hotel. Obviously refurbished, but it looks pretty good. A little dated, but it gets the job done.

Paula and the other two attendants we're so helpful because my father had to be put in the hospital and they knew I was under a lot of stress and made my stay very very comforting and the room was immaculate, plenty of towels, and one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept on in a hotel. Great shower head the best water pressure I've ever seen and hotel and the bathroom was spotless.

Friendly service, clean, updated room and comfy bed. Plus, they allow pets which was great for us as we drove our dog back home with us.

The room and the lobby were clean and in good shape. The desk staff and housekeeping were all very kind and considerate. I would happily stay here again.

Stayed at this hotel while visiting my uncle in Cleveland TN because he recommended it, I had never heard of Douglas Inn & Suites before but after my stay I definitely would not hesitate to stay there again. Everything from check in to check out was smooth and hassle free, and every employee that I had an interaction with was very professional and easy to talk to. I had a friend with me along with my uncle and all 3 of us needed a room for that night, so I went ahead and got a suite which was basically like a small apartment. It had a kitchen with a refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, and am oven, a living room with a couch that had a pull out bed, lounge chair, TV, and a small office desk and chair, a bedroom which had 2 separate queen beds (or king. I can't remember) along with dressers for storing your clothes, and a decent sized bathroom which you could access from the kitchen and from the bedroom. I actually slept on the pull out bed and to be completely honest I seriously can't believe how comfortable it wound up being, there wasn't a single disturbance all night and it was peacefully quite so I slept like a baby. So if you're debating on whether to stay here or not it's up to you but I would highly recommend it (from my experience at least), I took my uncles recommendation and I'm glad that I did because it couldn't have been a better or an easier experience imo.

The sign on the marquee says, 'best staff in Tennessee! '. Nothing could be truer. Nicest people we've met, and we've met some REALLY nice people here. Well worth the money, very clean. Has a great 'down-home' feel. Highly recommend!

Location was right off the expressway. Rooms were model and clean. The breakfast was really good. It's in a dry county so if you plan on having a drink pick it up before you arrive.

Nice rooms and friendly staff. Definitely worth the money. The continental breakfast was not the greatest, but better than paying for one.

The one in chatanooga Tennessee had very nice desk people very good room and for only $75 after tax I think it was very nice.

The stay was nice. Staff was friendly. Room was clean. Right next to a Cracker Barrel. Decent parking. Door flip lock was broken.

Location was just off the freeway which is nice, the room and the lobby were really nice for the price. Only complaints I have is that there was a motion activated light in the fitness room that kept shutting off during my morning jog, and the breakfast didn't have any meat. Other than those two very minor annoyances it was a great value.

Nice room. Paint and window coverings were straight out of the 70s, and contrasted sharply with the modern looking marble counters. The bed was very comfortable considering the price and I otherwise had zero complaints. Only member of the staff I saw was the girl at the counter who was friendly and pleasant. Will stay again if I'm back in town.

This was a very well ran economy hotel that is accessible to most everything in Cleveland, TN. The staff was great and very accommodating with our stay and with my wife's service animal. The Continental breakfast was warm and a nice change of pace, but if that is not your cup of tea, then Cracker Barrel is just next door.

This is our stopping place when we come to conferences with Pastor Perry Stone. Nice quality for not a lot of price. I recommend it.

This by far is the best hotel in my book. I'm a Floridian who left the state because of the hurricane and they gave us a discount for our emergency stay. The staff is so friendly and nice. The room was clean and comfy too. Great place to stay. Our family will be back.

The rooms are absolutely beautiful! The bathrooms are large and spacious. With having 4 kids the free breakfast as AMAZING! There was something for everyone! Biscuits and gravy and eggs and all! I will be coming back!

FLEAS! I don't even want to give this place one star! $130+ tax suite. Room 214. We got in late, around 11:30pm, my 62 year old mother, myself and my 3 young kids… didn't notice fleas until the morning. Dead fleas on the windowsill then fleas covering our legs! We took pictures. Told the front desk and the (very nice) girl called the manager… he only wanted to give us 50% of our money back because we didn't notice the fleas until the morning! Crazy! We had to fight for a full refund! We will NEVER be back!

We stopped at a rest area just inside of TN they had several flyers with coupons for girl's. We read the reviews and decided to try Douglas Inn. What a great Suprise. The rooms were clean, beds were comfortable, check in was easy and breakfast was hot and fresh. We would defiantly stay here again. Get the coupon $60.00 plus tax.

Stayed here a couple of weeks ago. Have only positive things to stay. It was very clean, updated and the beds very comfortable. The folks working there were friendly. If you want a nice, good place to stay this is your place! If you want a resort, move on along. For the price you can not beat it. Plan to stay again and have reservations already made. Thumbs up, Douglas Inn!

I have stayed here for the past three years for our whitewater trips on the Ocoee. The rooms are relatively updated, always super clean and the beds are very comfortable. The reception personnel are always super nice. For the price, you can't do better in this area.

I am having a good experience here. The room is clean and nice, comfortable beds and a nice tv. There's a complimentary breakfast and a gym. Not bad for the price.

Practically no hot water pressure. Mold on the shower wall of my suite. Aside from that everything else was great.

I can say its by far the best an most friendly place in Cleveland from the front desk to the cleaning ladies. The cleaning ladies really know how to spoil a person nothing is out of place. Price is great if you stay a full weeks tell Mrs Cathy Olly said hook ya up.

Pleasantly surprised with this hotel. We have a small dog and finding pet friendly hotels is limited. The room is very clean abd the staff is so friendly and helpful. Would definitely come here again and recommend it to anyone.

We ended up here on a spur of the moment trip and we're kind of skeptical at first. But was more than pleasantly surprised! We had our German Shepherd with us so our choice of hotels was very limited. The room was very clean, the bed was VERY comfortable and the staff was awesome. It seems to be newly remodeled. I would highly recommend.

Positive Experience, Budget Friendly, Highly Recommend For budget friendly motels, this is probably the best they come as for price and quality. The staff was very courteous and available to answer my needs and questions. The room was very clean and spacious with necessary accommodations I would agree with the previous reviews that the beds were very comfortable. In the mornings, they offer a simple complimentary breakfast for guests. I inquired to see if this was a major chain and it seems they have another location in GA.

I have stayed here before and returned as I was traveling through Cleveland. Of all the places I have stayed at, they have a great breakfast. Waffles, eggs and cereal. The room was clean however the walls could use some paint where the repairs were done. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Four stars because there is room for improvement but overall a great dollar value.

Pay for a suite an the heat in bedroom didn't work phone didn't work an no lightbulbs in lamps after having kids work in room asked to be accommodated. The lady told me there people are gone? Wat does that have to do with running a business! Then had the nerve to say I just refund your money wow that's the way u want to treat a customer in a SUITE.

Lady at front desk was nice. Checked in at 3:45 and my room was almost done being cleaned. Check out is 11am so you would think it would have already been done. Breakfast was good. Pet fee is now $15 instead of $10. Once again friendly staff.

I enjoyed staying here. I wouldn't stay anywhere else when I am in Cleveland. I feel like I am not just a number here. More like a family experience. Thanks to all the staff who were so kind and helpful to me. Comfortable beds. Quiet and restful stay, very clean. Within walking distance to food and drug store.

First off Id like to say I wish I knew the ladys name that worked the front desk that night she was very kind and polite even after midnight. My husband and I are so grateful for them being a pet friendly hotel. We did not plan to stop for the night on our move from Ohio to Florida with our 2 dogs and cat. The room was clean! Weve been to many hotels that were just for ppl that were disgusting but to find a pet friendly one that we didnt feel like we had to sleep fully clothed above the sheets just shows you how well maintained the rooms are. We felt the rate for the night was a good value and encourage you to give it a chance. PS the first floor is for ppl with pets they have many other rooms for those without. We were impressed :).
