By far the WORST experience I have ever had at a hotel in my life! Stayed in Augusta for my birthday with a friend, big mistake staying at the Ramada! Very outdated and dingy, musty. It was sooo hot in the hallways, like they had the heater on in the summer. We had to move rooms 4 times before we got a decent bed to sleep in. The first room had the loudest air conditioner ever, no exaggeration, it was so loud we couldn’t even hear each other talk. The furniture/bedding reminded me the early 90’s at grandmas house. The front desk staff moved us to a different room with a better ac unit and updated furniture. When I walked into the bathroom and closed the door. The ceiling light cover FELL ON MY LAP! This place is so old and is literally falling apart. The staff was trying to be helpful but had to keep looking for a room with working lights, ac, tv. We ended up in a decent enough room to sleep it. It was a miserable experience, especially for a birthday night. I hate that I had to waste my money here and I’m leaving this review so you don’t make the same mistake I did. I couldn’t wait to get up early and get the hell out of there! TERRIBLE! AWFUL! NO GOOD, VERY BAD HOTEL!

Service and hospitality representative of true southern charm. Great lounge bar service and the pool was a delight, being indoors and a perfect temperature. I would recommend staying here in a heartbeat!

Gets 4 stars from me for the simple fact that their elevator music is on point. Most elevators play mindless relaxing unrecognizable instrumental music; at least here I got to listen to some Bowie on the way up/down. Staff are very friendly. Building is admittedly stuck in the 70s in both good ways (elevator music) and bad (decor and condition of the place could go for an update). Parking lot is observed with security cameras so that's better than nothing, but could go for being better lit and/or hiring a security person or something.

The staff was nice. The rooms were clean. We had an excellent view. The hotel is old but wasn't bad.

Won't do business with this hotel for any parties. I don't mind spending money but when I can't get direct answers about pricing that is a problem. I inquired about the price to rent a banquet room for a party and was supposed to receive a call back. No one ever called back and I had to end up calling them back. The General manager was very rude like he didn't even want to be on the phone. Every question I asked he countered it with a question. No direct answers on the price of anything. How do you have an in-house caterer but can't give me a price on food or menu options. No thanks-I'll spend my hard earned money somewhere else. Only giving 2 stars cause the guy at the front desk Arthur was nice and superb.

Rooms are horrible. Still stuck in the 70's with the yellow and brown. I like to watch TV before I go to sleep but you cannot see the TV from the bed. We arrived at 6pm on a Friday and the restaurant was closed. The front desk couldn't even tell me if the bar was open because they weren't sure they had a bartender… it's Friday and they advertise restaurant and lounge which was the selling point on top of nice pictures. Looks nothing like pictures. Would not recommend!

Stayed there for a convention a few weeks ago. The convention center was a part of the Marriott hotel. We couldn't get rooms there because it booked up. Now that's a nice hotel. The Ramada, on the other hand, a different story. Starting from the exterior, the concrete siding looked like it hadn't been cleaned or repainted for a LONG time. The lobby was small, broken up and had a strange flow, kind of like a jigsaw puzzle. The elevator was rather small and was very warm / hot inside. This was also the case with the hallway to the rooms. The air conditioning is not central air, it's units within the rooms. The bathroom was really rough. It was very small and the toilet was leaking from the edges of the toilet base. The "eagle's nest" lounge had a weird looking wooden door for the entrance. Also I barely got any sleep despite the great bed because the sound of the train running by just a block or two away. Also the noise of loud motorcycles or trucks kept me up. The reason I give it a three star instead of a two is because, the beds were great (at least the room I stayed in) and the price. Also the lady at the counter in the lobby was nice.

If this review was just rating the staff it would be a five because they're attention to detail was great. That said, I had a corner room in one of the top floors with a nice view and I'm guessing this was precisely the reason why the water pressure was low. Having a 20 inch t. V. Should be illegal at this point in any hotel that charges over $100 a night. In addition, if Wi-Fi is your thing don't birthed l bother staying here. In a nutshell, I like this hotel but in order for it to become a great place to stay it needs a serious remodel.

We visited the hotel for the Eagle's Nest at the very top. It does need a remodel (or they could embrace the 70s look and make it awesome). It had great views over the city as sunset. It really was beautiful. We went for a nice evening and thought there would be some music. I could have done without "Lord of the Rings" playing on the television the entire time and did not really care for hearing the employee's cell phone conversation with various church members. This place could be absolutely awesome with some effort put into it.

I travel quite a bit with work. I have rewards with Wyndham and Ramada. I was pleased that there was a downtown location. Everyone was professional and engaging. Clean Hotel. Food was very good. Loved the restaurant up top of the Hotel. I think I will tell my daughter to look into booking her wedding and guest rooms here.

Just don't do it, drive the extra 10 minutes and stay away from this city. In the first place, Augusta in general is a cess pool of sewage and filth, so avoid this city at all costs. However if you do find yourself in this trash dump, I would strongly suggest staying away from this building. I am literally sitting in my vehicle in the parking lot as we speak because the room, lobby, bathrooms, hallways, beds, walls, ceilings, floors, everything is dirty. No joke, I may be sleeping in my car tonight. And there is no way that those pictures were taken inside this building, no way at all.

This is a great mid-priced hotel. The rooftop lounge has the best view of the city downtown. Family owned and operated by one of the oldest downtown business families (115 years in downtown Augusta).

Although the staff was very nice this hotel reminded me of a Tarintino movie I expected to come out of my room into a shoot out in slow motion as well as my car was broken into and the music from the Penthouse club was so loud we thought the glass would bust and that picture of the pool is a joke the pool actually looks like the alligator tank at the zoo.

I stopped at this Ramada a week ago Saturday (4/23/13), as I walked in the lobby the security guard was the only one there she advised me that the attendant was upstairs fixing a tv. I explained that I had just been driving for over 2 hours and needed a restroom. She said there was a restroom for guests only. I told her I had friends staying there and was checking and needed to use the restroom. She said the door to the restroom only worked with a key, I asked her if she could let me into while I waited for the attendant? She didn't respond just sat there. I asked again she said "I'm not getting up". I was very upset, I asked one more time and said "are you serious? " She just kinda smirked at me, I was wearing shirt and tie and just came there directly from work, maybe I didn't look thug enough for her? It was the worst experience I have ever had at a hotel. I drove the extra 2 blocks and stayed at the Marriott and had a great experience, they even had a bathroom you could use in the lobby without a key! can you believe that? Stay anywhere but here. And avoid the over weight lazy security guard.
