Whatever you do, do not stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Augusta, Ga. It was terrible! I knew I had to book a room so I went for safety. Well that gate was not in operation. I looked to see if the pool were open so my grandbaby would have some fun time. It stated the pool was open. We were informed the pool was closed. I looked to see which motel offered a hot breakfast and it said a hot breakfast was included in the price. Wrong! I was told I could take a bagel or muffin and an orange. Wow what a breakfast! We had no room service because after the second day of room not being cleaned, we complained, and we were told we had to request room service. When did that start? Trash was piling up, shower gel was out, no fresh towels, had to make our own bed, and if my daughter hadn't taken a roll of toilet paper with us, we wouldn't have had that either. She said we will clean your room tomorrow. Well gee whiz, we're checking out tomorrow. So when I went to check out, she asked how our stay was and I unloaded. She said, "well maybe next time things will be better. " No, there won't be a next time. I will never stay at another holiday inn. Almost 400 dollars for a three night stay. Horrible service. I was going to pay half cash and half card but no couldn't do that either. No problem ever with other classy hotels doing that. So I guess I've learned to stay with Wyndham resorts. Can't say it was due to Covid. Not one employee was wearing a mask.

Beautiful property and very nice staff. I stayed for two nights during the pandemic. Their breakfast was closed but they did serve breakfast items in Brown bags which turned out to be really nice they, they also have a nice selection of snacks in the snack bar and cooler.

While having the company? employee Thanksgiving meal the staff invited me to have dinner with them which was very nice and the food was delicious. If you ever visit Augusta I recommend the Holiday Inn and if you can book it around thanksgiving;)

You made me feel like I was a family member rather than a guest. You stood outside in that horrible heat ALL day long cheering us on as we ran past! You even had goodies for us the entire weekend! Thank you for making us feel loved and cared for! You truly are the best of the best of the best and I can't wait to stay with you all again… for sure next year when I race Augusta 70.3. I love this hotel! I have stayed here twice for the ironman 70.3 in Augusta. It is a great location for the race. The staff is amazing! from snacks for the athletes to hosing us runners down outside. It cant be beat! if I ever come to Augusta again I will always stay here! Props to all of the staff! thank you for a great experience, again!

Putt putt and cornhole plus free breakfast and its delish! big patio and then a swimming pool with chairs also. Locked in gates and big spacious rooms. Very clean and air conditioning works great and also air in the hallways. Nice staff!

Wonderful staff! They were amazing to let us check in early so my Dad could rest after his surgery at the VA.

The lady at the front counter when we got here was awesome! Her name was Tarah Alexander and she was extra friendly and professional. The room was very spacious and clean. I liked that they had a gated area to park our truck. Would definitely book here again. ❤️

Came through town to perform and this Holiday Inn Express was perfect for my stop. The location was very convenient, the room was super comfy and very clean, but more importantly, the customer service was excellent. I was very impressed with the energy and attentiveness of the front counter staff during my late night check-in.

Great location and very helpful staff. Bed was comfortable with nice sheets. Towels were soft and the bathroom was clean. Continental breakfast was everything your looking for. We will definitely stay here again.

Very friendly and competent staff — they really make the difference. I can't say enough good things about the people, from the front desk to housekeeping to the shuttle drivers. Rooms are clean and well maintained. Breakfast is good quality.

I will be in Augusta on business weekly for a few weeks and I cannot say enough about the staff! Whitney is an absolute doll and her professionalism is unmatched! I have watched her go the extra mile multiple times always with a smile on her face and saintly patience! Tabitha has also been a dream to work with! Staff was very friendly and courteous, rooms were clean and spacy. There were several good places to eat that were close enough to walk. The continental breakfast was really good, having biscuits, bacon, sausage, eggs, cereal, milk, juices, coffee, Bagels and all the fixings. They also have a convention room where a family was holding their reunion, and they all seem to be very pleased with the Hotel Staffing and services. All in all is a very nice place to stay and I would definitely go back.

We stayed here last weekend, and even after originally seeing a 2.9 rating we gave it a chance anyway, and we were very impressed. It was very clean, quiet with nice respectful guest and staff, and the breakfast was good as well. We would def stay again! Great location to great restaurant. The mexican restuarant around the corner was the bomb!

Staff was very unfriendly at check in. Received no instruction on what direction to head to find my room. Room was comfortable with good pillows. However I could hear everything from the surrounding rooms all night long. Typical holiday inn Express breakfast.

The lobby is super clean and nice, and the free breakfast was top notch. There's also a little market for snacks and drinks, as well as any other sundries you may need. Our rooms were super spacious and clean. Best of all was the kind staff. The front desk managers were so nice and welcoming, and they did everything they could to make sure our stay was comfortable. They were easily the most attentive staff I've come across in recent years, and we travel a lot for work. We can't wait to come stay here again when we are back in the Augusta area!

Our clients are typically touring entertainers and as such, have spent a lot of nights in different hotel rooms. Recently, a band called Whiskey Gentry stayed at this location and they said that it has it all! The staff was incredibly friendly at check-in (despite the extremely late hour! ) and throughout his stay. After the gig, they were able to stretch their legs from the long travels in the fitness room. After catching up on sleep in the clean and cozy room, they grabbed a big breakfast at the complimentary breakfast bar which got the day started in spectacular fashion as they got back out on the road. With such a resounding review from one of our clients, we look forward to sending future clients in the area here!

We had a great stay here! The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was big and clean, and this is a great location being close to restaurants and the Riverwalk. And the shuttle service was great too!

The entire staff at this location are amazing. The hotel was very clean, rooms were great, and all hotel staff were beyond courteous. Tabitha and Deborah we appreciate all of your assistance with our wedding hotel reservations. From scheduling our room block, making changes, receiving updated rooming lists, distributing gift bags. The wedding gifts were fabulous! We most definitely appreciate you being so gracious with our amazing wedding weekend! Extremely overpriced for Master's Week. It's 6 miles away from the parking lot at Augusta National and nearly $600/night. Of course the rooms and staff are great but not worth the money.

Rooms were Clean, however it is in a TERRIBLE Area. A lot of crime, gated parking, and gun shots. I recommend using the other Holiday Inn Express in the better part of town. It was recommended to me not to walk the 4 blocks to downtown because it was unsafe. I heard of a shuttle but always ended up driving. Does not look as good as outside pictures but the rooms were pretty clean. Between that and helpful staff, I gave it 3 stars. Without that it would get 1.

I was in need of R&R my daughter sent me downtown holiday in the desk clerk she seen my eyes said bed time and it was red carpet breakfast was good I will be back next year can I give you.

This holiday inn express in Augusta Ga was amazing and it still smelled new! Staff was extra friendly, rooms were comfy equipped with microwave, fridge and keurig. Gated parking was a plus, rooms were very spacious and it was well located within walking distance to several restaurants! Breakfast was SUPER!

My wife and I stayed overnight to see a concert at the Bell Auditorium. The staff was Very helpful and Courteous. The room was Wonderful. Clean and neat and the king size bed was Very comfortable. The bed was rather high. I am over 6ft. Tall and my feet did not touch the floor. Not a bad thing, just unusual. We found the the hotel offered Free shuttle service to the concert and back. This was an Awesome perk! The free breakfast was as usual very good. Eggs, sausage, cereal, coffee. A Very nice perk as well. This was Not the first time we have stayed at a Holiday Inn Express. We are Very Pleased with the Consistent service. Thanks.

Free cookies at the front. Which always makes it a plus. Hotel is clean. Rooms look nice. Really close to the downtown area with affordable pricing.

First the place is pretty easy to find, and also love the gated parking lot. Didn't have a reservation and they still accommodated me with a room of exactly what I wanted and the floor. Next I needed milk for my baby and they gave me plenty from the complimentary break fridge, so I didn't have to pack my kids up and get some from the gas station. Room was clean and up to standard of what you would expect of this caliber of hotel. Breakfast was great, and though I'm not lactose intolerant they had soy milk here. This is the only place where I have ever seen it, thought it was a nice touch. Also love the fact there's a small shop here too. Lastly the place a great location being downtown and close to the river. All in all this place is a higher standard of what a high standard is. I would recommend to others.

This is easily one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. The staff was very courteous, knowledgeable and got exactly what we needed very quickly. The beds were incredibly comfortable! It felt like sleeping on clouds, that had memory foam… so better than clouds. The breakfast is a fantastic spread from pancakes to little omelettes to passion fruit & mango juice! One of best spreads I've seen in a long time! Big big thanks to the GM Deb and Patrick from Road Rooms for a great stay in Augusta! Looking forward to coming back!

First time staying at this location 11/14/17 room 105 it was a clean room, comfortable bed and pillows, clean shower, tub. The customer service was awesome. Very friendly and professional staff. Good breakfast fast bar. They also have a shuttle that takes you around 10 miles. Very helpful. Diffently recommending that ya'll try this place.

Great place to have family and fun. The rooms were very, very, clean. Me and my husband will be back for a couple getaway.

The hotel was very nice, however during our stay they let the fire alarm go off for at least an hour (and that is being nice) … There was no warning that they were going to test the fire alarm. I had to call downstairs to the front desk to ask what was going on and the gentleman stated they were turning the heat on and that we did not need to leave the hotel. The notification would have been nice because we have an autistic child with us and two people who suffer from migraines. I am very disappointed in how things were handled. The staff were nice, the breakfast buffet was good it had scrambled, eggs, bacon, ham slices, pancakes, ceral, yougurt, fruit, etc… But the lack of communication when in that type of situation was just awful, now to be traveling with a headache approaching.

Great place to stay for the Iron Man challenge. The staff went out of their way to make things easy and efficient for the guests that were part of the event. Awesome staff!

This location is amazing. Rooms are clean and spacious. Staff is friendly. Breakfast is great. Free Wi-Fi and gated parking. They have a 24/7 shuttle service that will take you anywhere within a 10 mile radius. We stayed for a total of 3 nights 4 days to view the Solar Eclipse in South Carolina. Definitely recommend to anyone staying in the area.

The hotel was amazing. The staff was so nice. We were there for business so we weren't there during the day, but the breakfast was delicious, the rooms were clean and super roomy. The area was great. We were within miles of some the most amazing restaurants. We had a group of about 15 people so we made use of the shuttle. Anthony our shuttle bus driver was so great. He was ready when we were and showed up so quickly for the ride back. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel and location for anyone's stay.

Very quiet considering the location, pool being on the opposite side of the sunrise was great for my "parental morning eyes" while our kid got to swim before checkout. Didn't eat the breakfast but it did smell good when coming down to the first floor. The King size bed slept amazingly.

OMG what an awesome hotel! Words can't even begin to describe the experience we had. I was down there to move my daughter and had a U-haul trailer that I forgot a lock for. So with concerns of theft the manager had me park it right under the canopy at the entrance of the hotel where they could keep an eye out on it. Then while discussing taking an Uber to dinner again the manager offers us the shuttle to and from so we were able to have a few drinks. I have never received the service that I received here at any other Holiday Inn Express. Tabitha, the manager, just made visiting this hotel such a pleasant experience. The rooms were very nice and clean. And the breakfast was actually pretty good. The only complaint I can come up with is that the shower floor was slippery so worried us with my mother trying to take a shower. May want to consider some slip guard tape or something to make safer. Thanks for taking such great care of us and giving attention to the details!

Hard to believe this hotel has good reviews. No towels in the pool area. I informed staff. They said someone was coming to bring towels. After waiting for 40 minutes I went inside, soaking wet to get towels. The front desk said, sorry, we'll be right out. Than the shuttle! Ugh! They told us to call 15 minutes before we needed to be picked up. I called @ 12:20. It is now 1:20 am! The place I'm @ closed @ 1. I have a 3 year child. Still waiting! RIDICULOUS!

Very nice hotel. The only reasons​ I didn't give it 5 starts are because of its location and the size of the rooms. The location didn't bother me much, but other guests commented on the rough area it's in, so I'm not sure how safe I'd feel walking around the area especially at night. I stay in hotels a lot so I noticed the rooms seemed small. It was adequate for me, but if you're not traveling alone, you may be cramped. Comfortable beds, decent showers, and one of the better free buffet breakfasts I've had added up to a nice stay.

I've stayed here several times for business and they have always been friendly. I know a lot of people are wary of the downtown area, however this is a true gem that is great if you have dealings within the medical or downtown district. It is within walking distance of good food and entertainment. The rooms are clean, the food is great, and they have a gated area for your car. Wonderful experience all around!

Great hotel if you need to stay downtown. I have had some bad experiences with Holiday Inn Express lately, but this HIE is an example of how all HIE properties should operate. The hotel was clean, modern, and comfortable. The rooms are clean and well appointed and bed was very comfortable. Our room had a fridge and microwave. The breakfast area is large, and the food was all good; the pancake machine even worked! Hotel has a nice workout room, and a great outdoor pool with large deck area to sit and enjoy the warm weather. The hotel is located in an iffy part on the edge of downtown Augusta. I would advise again going out for a walk at night. Thankfully the hotel has two parking lots that are both gated and locked, with your room key required to gain access. Hotel is just off the US 1 — 78 elevated highway. First exit after crossing the river from South Carolina. Close to all downtown attractions, the riverwalk, and a short drive from all other areas in metro Augusta.

The area is bad, it's a gated parking lot. There's plenty of places to eat but the hotels water is high efficiency and a pain to shower with.

I've been to third world countries that have better Wi-Fi than this hotel. I asked if changing rooms would help. Instead, they offered me a network cable to connect my laptop directly to the wall. Too bad I'm using my phone… I'm writing this review on 4G.

As always this hotel is a fine representation of the Holiday Inn Express chain. Beds are comfy, rooms are clean and quiet. Staff is very friendly.

Nice rooms, decent location, friendly staff.

Great hotel within walking distance of downtown Augusta! Our room, the lobby, and even the workout room (bike, elliptical, 2 treadmills) were very clean with new furniture, electronics, and decor. Water was hot, morning and night. Free breakfast was the best part, pancakes, bacon, eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy all morning. The staff was amazing too!

Great place. Clean and quiet. If they had a guest laundry they would get 5 stars.
