Reviews of Quality Inn Atlanta Northeast I-85 2*
Nice quite environment. Nice hotel clerk. Clean Towels.
Its Nice Location to stay staff are very helpful.
This hotel has an unwritten and not posted policy that guests are not allowed outside their rooms after 1am.
I was sitting directly outside the room I was staying in when the security guard (told me his name was Dillon) told me that "as a female", I was not allowed outside of my room. I specifically asked if that was a written or posted policy and was told "yes". I asked what his name was in which he told me "Dillon" and I said thank you and went back to using my phone (I was just scrolling thru social media), he stood there & then started moving closer to me and made a comment about wanting to see me delete his name from my phone. I explained that I was on Twitter & could easily remember his name but that I could put his name in my phone if I wanted to. He walked away.
I called the corporate # & asked if any hotels, specifically this one, had a policy about having to stay in the hotel room after a certain time. I was told "absolutley not, especially if you're just sitting quietly outside of your own room".
I then walked down to the office to ask about this "policy". I explained I'm a night owl and didn't want to disturb the other people in my room so I was just quietly sitting directly outside of my room on my phone.
First the male employee said "no". Then he said they did have a policy because it's unsafe for the guest to do so.
Hotel is clean. Beautiful courtyard and nice pool. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Checked in late and then realized the TV wasn’t working. Thought we could live with that. Then pulled back our sheets to sleep only to find a blood stained pillow case! THEN woke up to pee and found a massive cockroach in the bathroom. And when I say massive I mean like… size of my middle finger massive. My poor dad brought it up to the manager in the morning and was only offered a partial refund. Manager was a massive c**t to boot. Honestly, if I could shut this place down I would haha.
Very willing to help out when I was staying up here while my wife is in the hospital.
The best part is really the location. It was not too far from downtown Atlanta or the Stone Mountain area. The room has a fridge and microwave. The breakfast was good, not just muffins and toast. Overall not bad for the price.
Definitely in my top 10 nicest quality inns I've ever stayed at, and I travel the country for a living lol. Instagram: Teammarceezy. Sorry the pictures came out side ways. Not sure why but the format is giving me issues right now and I don't want to deal with it. The hotel is 20 minutes north of Atlanta.
Outside appearance, courtyard and pool area looks decent and the lobby area is real nice. When I checked into my room, it smelled real clean and there was nice comfortable king size bed. However later in the night while I was getting ready to go out a ROACH climbed up the the wall from behind the dresser! Of course I can’t just let it run wild. So I got up to kill it! It fell on the dresser and that’s where I was able to smash it! So now I’m disgusted because I have to stay here tonight and I don’t want any roaches coming home with me! Now I’m trying to move my luggage to a secure area… at this time I haven’t went to go get any tissue or Clorox wipes from the bathroom yet. Literally it was only 3-5mins after I killed the roach, a SECOND ROACH was climbing up the wall from the same place! So I automatically think to myself evidently this roach could smell the first dead roach because it went right to it on the dresser! I’m real disgusted now! I kill this one and go get my Clorox wipes from the bathroom! I say all this to say… it looks like a nice hotel however the ROACHES were a deal breaker for me! I won’t be staying there anytime soon again! Wish I could get my money back!
This place is probably a 2 or 3 star hotel, really, it's more of a motel. The bad first: the breakfast was ridiculously awful, I can't even describe it, it was barely edible, but one would have to be starving to choke it down. Ok, other than, a much better than average cheap hotel. Price was right, room was clean, bed was ok. Staff were friendly, and it wasn't noisy. All things I desire from a cheap hotel. Of course, no room service, but the vending was handy and decent. Since it met so many of the things I want from a cheap hotel room, I gave it four stars.
Check in was very pleasant and professional. Room was very clean and the staff from the front desk to the cleaning staff were polite and helpful during my one day stay. There is a flat screen television, full cable, Wi-Fi, small microwave and small refrigerator. This location has a pool and was safe and quiet for a single woman for business travel.
This place is horrible. The room are disgusting. The free breakfast is gross and makes you sick. The staff here are rude, and not considerate of their guest staying at the hotel. I reccomend going to a different hotel if you are in the area and need a hotel to stay at.
They have a hot breakfast that is pretty good. The price was reasonable but the walls were paper thin. Ok if you're looking for something cheap. But keep looking if you want something higher class.
1 of the best place I have ever stayed at nice rooms, quiet area and friendly people. I would recommend this hotel to all my family and friends.
The a/C at our home didn't work so we decided to stay in this hotel. We checked in at 11pm, woke up at 2am because the A/C didnt work. The front desk sent someone to fix it and all they did was raise the temperature. They offered to put us in another room but what was the point? We were awake already and we were thinking of checking out at 6:30am anyways. Our night was ruined. I do not recommend this place.
No biscuits on breakfast bar. Outside of Windows needs painting, needs updating on outside of building. Beds very comfortable!
Though bbn I am grateful to have a place to stay for the night. The roaches were a bit of a turn bbn off.
We we're guaranteed a handicapped bath. And we did not get it. Under remodel construction. Through out property. I guess for price it was appropriate.
I just got off the phone with the front desk person about possible reservations next week. He was rude and short and basically hung up on me. Glad I went through that before reserving the two rooms for 4 nights that I was looking for. If you’re looking for quality customer service I’d avoid this place.
Great night's sleep and fast Wi-Fi. The outside patio is great and huge magnolia tree for shade.
Okay, neat, nearer to d main road despite quite, rooms spacious n neat,
Good hotel. It' s close to downtown Atlanta, in a good neighborhood. Quiet and clean. Good Breakfast. I almost no picking this hotel because one review where it say it has bad odor. That review was wrong. I had my fabrezze with me just in case but was unnecesary. The price it's good for the convenience of being close to 85 Hwy. It's just 15 minutes away to the America's Mart.
Comfortable room, not very good breakfast.
I’ve stayed here numerous times — for a reason. Actually more than one (I'll give those highlights in a second). My main reason is the incredibly nice staff. They bend over backwards to ensure your stay is quiet and comfortable — and they do so with such warmth, kindness, and with genuine smiles on their faces. VERY clean property inside and out. It may not be the Ritz Carlton in Buckhead but you'll sleep well, wake up refreshed and ready to explore more of Atlanta (and/or Georgia). Crisp clean sheets and plenty of freshly laundered towels in the bathroom. Several HBO channels are included, along with Animal Planet, several ESPN'S, BET, USA, TBS, TNT, TLC, Discovery, Cartoon Network, Oxygen, CNN, Noticias Telemundo, numerous Atlanta Networks, several PBS stations, and Fox News too. And more! They have a nice spread for breakfast with something for just about everyone. Fruit, yogurt, cold cereal, warm cereal, croissants, muffins, donuts, scrambled eggs, biscuits, gravy, pancakes, waffles, coffee, o. J. Bottled water, tea — hot and iced… I know I'm leaving something out. But, as you can see, it's difficult not to find something you, your spouse, the kids, the in-laws, the grandparents, etc will enjoy for breakfast before getting back out on the city streets. Word to the wise. Be sure to get there early to find what you like to eat! Oh and it's a nice location too. There's a multiplex theater up the street. Publics grocery is too. Numerous restaurants and fast food too.
Rooms are nice, nice location, serves free breakfast and Wi-Fi is fast.
In a sort of shady area rooms needed up dating beds we're new and comfortable but a bit noisy. Breakfast wasn't that good better off going somewhere else for that. Price was low for a Comfort Inn in the greater Atlanta area.
Me and my family came from Knoxville tn. My cousin job comfort Inn set up our reservations for us because she a employee at comfort Inn in Knoxville tn. Well my cousin had to cancel going with us. So I went and checking in on 12-31-17 threw 1-2-18 wasn't a problem checking in the man was wonderful checking me and it was the room he put me in # 106 went in room and unpack all our stuff to get in there and it has a whole family of Bugs having a field day in the clock and in the draws so I called front desk has I video and took pictures. And he said all he could do was give me another room # 158 and just make sure u talk to the manager when he come in about 8:00 am about the issue I said ok fine. So about 11:00 am I go to talk to manager who name is MIKE I was told get to front desk ask for Mike and he was standing at front desk when I ask he said I'm Mike and said can I speak to u in private so the other customers wouldn't get ran off with what I had to say I was trying to talk to Mike in private and he refused to and told me what I had to say I could say right there. So I went on to show the video first and his response was WHAT DO U WANT ME TO DO ABOUT IT? Didn't THE front desk give u another room. So me trying to be nice and really didn't have the money to go to another hotel I said ok I'll just take my video and pictures to corporate. Mike was very rude and had to go get ice by room 106 and it was fixed up like ain't a bug in sight.
Pool awlays dirty. Visited this location back around June or July this year to find old leaves and dirt clogging the filters. Also the Indian desk clerk was rude, wouldn't let me in my room after I had been a guest paying 90.10 FAITHFULLY every morning and me telling him the CORRECT NAME and called me several names I had to wait for my boyfriend to get off work at 1-1:30 in the morning… I will not be there for a while…
It was clean and breakfast was good, but checking in after hours behind bullet proof was not a good first impression.
It wasn't bad but it wasn't right either. It was more or less.
Excellent motel for the price in that area. Very clean and updated rooms. Quick taxi ride from the metro station. Great staff.
Great location, clean rooms, great service and fine free breakfast.
Clean room and good bed and a good price they also have a real good breakfast.
This place is great has a very good is located excellent mind have a very good service, the rooms very clean the area Delos very clean parking This place is very good to be able to rest excellent mind.
Excellent place to stay. Entire staff does a wonderful job. House Keeping Ladies are terrific. Room is always perfect. Thank you. Jim Raines Room 181
Was on business trip n bed was super comfortable. Woke up feeling totally refreshed. Breakfast was yummy. I'll stay here again.
Terrible experience. Non clean bathroom, dirty bed sheets. I could hear others noise on other rooms. There were papers on the bathroom when I arrived to the room. Nasty smell on the lobby of the hotel. Fake pictures on the internet. They sell something they don't have. I had a reservation for 3 days and I couldn't stay for 2 hours, imagine hoy bad it was.
The outside has been landscaped well and the lobby has been redone. The rooms however have been minimally improved with a fresh coat of paint but lack finishing touches and the carpet has not been changed. The bathroom has no real ventilation and could use refreshing including paint on the back of the door. The fridge lacks a freezer. There is no microwave either.
I was very satisfied with this hotel. The internet worked well, the room was very clean and in much better condition than others I have seen. They care for the grounds meticulously and it shows. The location offered easy highway access and was only a short drive into downtown where all the activities are.
Nice place to stay in Atlanta. Very convenient to down town without hefty price. Easy in and out from I-85. Nice big lobby and breakfast area. Nice well knowledgeable staff. Nice eye pleasant landscaping.
Really just need a place to sleep, plus free breakfast, can't beat that!. The late night clerk could have been nicer. He was speaking harshly when I asked him why my reservation was cancelled. Instead of helping me, he send me to go check out other hotels. Confused? Why would you send business elsewhere. So I stayed in the parking lot and rebook the same room. Before I left from paying, he gave me a piece of advice. He said, "next time use the right credit card. " Oh, so you thought I was trying to scam you? Smh… It's clean and reasonable but because of the clerk, I gave it 3 stars.
For the price, it was great! Just needed a place to go after Music Midtown. Would stay here again.
This hotel was about a 10-15 minute drive to downtown ATL, not bad. There are many other stores like Publix and gas stations very close by. Now about the hotel, trash. The first room they gave us had a smell and the DOOR DID NOT LOCK! They gave us a new room with no problems that actually locked. The new room still had a smell and when we checked the pillow cases and sheets they were dirty. They did come and changed our sheets for us. The bathroom was dirty too. Noise level outside wasn't bad, relatively quiet. You get what you pay for here only $76 a night.
We selected Quality Inn Northeast after we determined it offered the lowest rate for the location. Essentially, we were right off the interstate and it was fairly quiet. Some remodelling was taking place. Our stay was pleasant. The hotel staff was considerate. The Wi-Fi connection exceeded expectations… We plan on staying there again.
Beautifully located in the heart of Atlanta. The rooms are always Clem and well maintained. The grounds offer a peaceful atmosphere. The staff is always very friendly and go out of their way to accommodate your every need. They have a breakfast to get you started. They have delicious coffee or tea in the morning and tea in the afternoon and evening to relax you for a very restful sleep. For the money you can't beat this great value. You will not regret giving this hotel a visit.
The front desk was very nice and polite. Once I got to my room and fell asleep I realized I had been bit by bed bugs. When told the front desk they gladly let me look at another room. After I looked it over and saw no sign of any bugs I stayed. The price was good the breakfast was great. Service was good too. Not the cleanest Hotel on the Block but would do if you need to lay your head down.
I have stayed here at least 20 times in the last ten years for business trips. Inexpensive rooms badly in need of an update, but were usually clean and relatively quiet but definitely getting worse in the last 2 years. Today; however, Ken, put me in a room that they chose to do unnecessary maintenance (hanging new pictures) in the rooms on each side. Which meant drilling and hammering for about 30 minutes before I went to the lobby and said some not very polite words. This should have been done before guests checked in or he could have at least given me a heads up that it would be noisy and I wouldn't be able to rest, you know, like I was paying for.
ROACHES AND BUGS! They were crawling all over the floor and walls I felt itchy all over and I would've called the front desk unfortunately the phone was un plugged from the wall … I could go on describing the horrific scene here but it makes me so un easy staying here that I feel like burning all my belongings as so I don't by accident bring any ROACHES OR BUGS home with me.
Terrible customer service… sanji Patel was the rudest person ever didn't even address the fact his hotel gave me and my two daughters a filthy bed to sleep in… granted I hold a level of responsibility to check the room myself but I was very tired as we arrived late that evening and went straight to bed. Only to wake the next morning to finding dried blood in our bed… Sooooooooooo disgusting… my skin is still crawling… I went to talk about the issue and was blamed for it when me nor my daughters were bleeding that night or in the am but we were blamed for this instead of the hotel making it right by us… never again will I stay there. Extremely rude business ppl. To spend 95.00 dollars only to be treated with such little respect and to be given a filthy bed I can find elsewhere to stay and so should you… I definitely would recommend you find somewhere else to stay… And if your on the non smoking side there is a club across the way with loud music and drunks all about… worst hotel experience in all my 30 years of living.
Very efficient registration process. Clean rooms that suited my needs.
I am not sure why this hotel does not have higher occupancy then it does. Rooms are large, bed was very comfortable, had a mini fridge nice size bathroom with separate vanity. Front desk agent was very nice. There is security on the property. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
Great place for the family reasonable priced very clean.
It was awesome. Great breakfast! We had a nice time family time at the pool. It is convenient and close too local attractions. Has a variety of food options close by that you can go too of a great list of places that deliver. Clean room, great cable options for family. Excellent customer service. There is a binder of information that has places of interest, restaurants, directions, etc in the room. It was an awesome quiet getaway for us as a family of 5.
I stayed at a Quality Inn in Atlanta at 2960 N. E. Expressway. 2 nights. Second nite-there was a party in the parking lot right in front of our room with loud music and drunk people. Tried for 4+ hours to call front office, no one answered. Couldn't go outside for fear of the people drunk outside. Wasn't a life and death emergency so I wouldn't call 911. Since there was no phone book in room couldn't call non-emergency number. Finally called corporate number, put on hold while they tried to get someone to answer the phone. They couldn't get anyone either. Said because of this problem we wouldn't have to pay for the room but they charged it anyway, and more than what it was supposed to be with the initial quote with military discount. My truck was keyed that night, too, during the drunk party.
The bed was terrible. The neighborhood in which the hotel is located is very loud. Hard to get good sleep. The room was dusty and smelled of mildew. The paint in the room was peeling.
I stayed just this past weekend. It was okay. They room was clean, but the frige didnt work and I needed a roll a way bed. They were right on it! then the next day NOBODY came to clean the room or change the trash. We were out late and came back at about midnight and notice that the room smelled like something was burning. I went to the late night check in (which is at a window. I think thats ghetto) and I was telling the man what had happened and he replied with and you telling me this at 12:00! im like WOW! so he sent some one to look at it and I was moved to the room next door. It was much better and clean. I dont complain much but the man really pissed me off about the 12:00 thing if I have a complant it dont matter what time it is. It was not hard to book and the price was right. Other than that this was my first time in atlanta and I think that this place was okay. Would I go back MAYBE…
It was very comfortable the staff was very accommodating and kind. The rooms were cleaned to perfection I really appreciated the mattress covers and fresh linens and they give plenty of pillows the beds are soft and its easy to feel comfortable and sleep even with the expressway right there the air conditioning worked perfect (i like my rooms really cold) they did supply some toiletries and a very ample amount of towels the bathroom is very very clean and a nice theres a microwave and mini fridge also super convenient and the breakfast was much better then expected theres also coffee in the rooms. I will definitely go agian this is a great hotel especial for the price I paid 50 a night and it was well worth the money. And to top it all of the man at the front desk was nice enough not to charge me for an extremely late check in.
Nice, clean, breakfast not bad.
Didn't know what to expect from this hotel. Good price on a budget, clean but the Mexican bar next door was so loud on Sat night until 3-4am but overall I would stay again.
I didn't know what I was going to get. I took a chance. I went through my job discount and got three days for 115.00 +tax. I felt safe. The continental breakfast was awesome. It was clean. And I slept great.
Bed Bugs! I stayed in room 139 for four days (8/18/14 — 8/21/14), the forth day while at work I noticed I was unusually itchy. I later looked at my itchy areas and saw huge red swollen bumps. Although I've been biten by mosquitoes a couple nights earlier, these bumps were in places they had no possible way of getting to. So I went to the front desk to tell them this and that I wanted to switch rooms, he willingly agreed and gave me keys to room 137 (next door). I went in to check it out before I made any decision to settle in and it was worse than my previous room. Tons of visible bugs under the mattress. They looked dead but im sure the live ones were well hidden. I go back to the front desk to find out that there is a couple talking to the employee. It turns out that they too have been bitten by bed bugs in some other room. That's what they said the doc said. At this point I'm frustrated. I gave him the keys back, he offers me another room this time away from the area room, 145.5 rooms down. I do my last check before I would decide to inform my superintendent that we would have to find a different hotel. This room was much better; no bed bugs, newer mattresses and smelt better. So I settled and sprayed every inch and crevice whit Bed Bug and flea killer by Hot Shot. But other than that they do have a free breakfast. Not much on variety, just eggs and sausage, orange juice and apple juice, plain cereal, pastries and waffle baker.
I would not recommend this hotel. The light and alarm clock were broken in the room, there were stains on a towel, the hotel staff was rushing me to check out (I did ask for a checkout a bit later but other hotels were much more understanding).
The Plus Points 1. Room was clean. 2. Free breakfast had a selection of hot and cold foods 3. Coffee available throughout the day 4. Quick access to the interstate 5. Immigrant neighborhood that includes many restaurants: Hispanic, Vietnamese and Halal (perfect for the Islamic traveler). 6. Reasonable rates 7. Outdoor pool The Uglier Side 1. Rude, desk guy! 2. Some of the guest live here permanently, and drink nightly outside of the pool and throw their bottle caps and butts on the ground. 3. Noisy on interstate side of the hotel 4. No gym 5. Parking lot, pool and grounds poorly maintained. Overall: We would stay somewhere else next time.
Sort of a seedy neighborhood. Room was ok — nothing extra, but ok. But then I didn't expect extra; I choose it to keep costs down. It did have a refrigerator, which is a plus.
The staff was nice. Don't have any complaints about them. The room was decent. Let's be honest here, when we get a room at Quality Inn we aren't exactly looking for luxury. That being said the room was clean, clean towels, bed sheets, no smoke scent, etc. The only complaint I have is that the rooms do not have a microwave. They do have one in the lobby that you can use. The free continental breakfast was great! I recommend this to anyone looking for a place to lay your head for 1-2 nights.
Non-English speaking staff. The manager, Mr. Patel, speaks good enough English but he is argumentative and mean. Don't question this guy! No sense of customer service. I had a question about my bill which I admitted to being wrong about, but after our argument, I couldn't stomach seeing the mean Mr. Patel again so I checked out. Another half-funny/half sad thing was when I called to ask for my final bill. I called and asked for it because I was changing the date of my checkout. He took that to mean that I was checking out immediately and he insisted that I leave right away (2AM). The security guard stepped in on my behalf and clarified to Mr. Patel that "the customer meant that he just wanted the final bill since he was changing the date of checkout. " Mr. Patel was indeed angry. I thought it was convenient to be right on the 85 and for the short time I was staying it was convenient, but not worth patronizing some of the most unfriendly business owners ever. The continental breakfast is danishes and juice or coffee. They have yogurt sometimes. If you look hard, you might find a piece of fruit.
