As soon as we arrived, valet was on point! Valet parking was full but we got great parking at a nearby deck. Concierge staff were very pleasant. Tye (the lady who checked us in) couldn't have been nicer! Better than expected. The city view room was awesome. Would definitely stay here again!

Marriott is one of my go to hotels we I'm away from home. Nice Atmosphere and good amenities.

We had a terrible experience staying here. The hotel was beautiful upon entering and we were so excited for our weekend getaway. Zero parking so we had to park a block away, which we were told the wrong name of the parking deck so we rode around for an hour looking for it, the valet service and the lady at the front desk was extremely rude, restaurant took forever but the server was extremely nice and working so hard, had dirt and black stuff on all our drinks, TV didn’t work, rooms were not very clean, beds were hard. We were charged $100 more than what was in our email. We typically stay at average hotels for $150 a night but wanted to stay somewhere nice for our special weekend. Have never had a bad experience like this. For a $600 stay would have expected way more.

No cable service, guy who fixed the problem was very persistent and professional.

Fridge was dirty. Had old food from previous guests and it smelled. Took 3 calls and almost 1 hour for toilet paper and housekeeping. Very disappointed.

The rooms were very nice. We had a beautiful view of Atlanta from the 34th floor. My only complaint would be that there was a mini fridge but no microwave in the room. For how much the rooms cost per night, I think there should’ve at least been one. Outside of that, we had a comfortable stay.

Where do I start, there is NO Microwave, the sheets have not been charged since I have been here. None of the restaurants have not been opened. No trash pick up. The beds are tooooo small, only one mattress, very low to the floor, definitely not senior friendly. The pillows are DEAD… the sheets do not fit the bed… There no bars of soap in the bathroom, and there are no drawers in the rooms. I will never stay here again…

Horrible experience from
Customer service to the rooms and overcharged! Today 7/23/21 water was brown, bad smell, cracks on floors, showers, Debra and Keke have a bad attitude, very unprofessional and rude face to face and on the phone. No no no! My vacation time and I have to deal with this…

Never stay here EVER! Staff isn’t courteous & very unprofessional, the mf’ers hang up in your face once the do finally decided to answer. The icing on the cake is the tv’s don’t work NEITHER DOES THE WATER! We’ve missed our Breakfast reservations on top of that! (I hate it here) These are some overpriced rooms & parking, for all this drama we’ve endured, please stay away from here (seriously)

While the view was stunning, it was not worth our experience and wasting our 13th anniversary. The promo code on the Marquis’s website apparently does not apply to their hotel for free valet. The sheets were dirty, although we did not find that out until the following morning when we found long dried crusty boogers on the sheet. Thank heavens we had used our own blanket. Was going to shower, but the shampoo was empty, and the towels were filthy with what looked like mascara or eye liner. We were woken up at 5:15 by the alarm, which we didn’t set, and a wake up we didn’t request… on our one morning to sleep in (we have two small kids). Then we had two separate housekeepers knock on our door to try to clean the room before check out… hard to enjoy alone time when you’re constantly being interrupted. Didn’t help that Starbucks was out of everything so we couldn’t even enjoy a coffee in our annoyed exhaustion.
Do not waste your money here. But look at that view!

We stayed 2nights and had to call just to get towels. Could be cleaner considering the price they charge. Paying $55 for parking per day considering we were staying there is absolutely ridiculous. They also had the hot water off from 11am to 5pm the second day we were there. Not going back.

The architect was amazing, the staff was so professional and nice, the High Voltage and Sear restaurant had some of the best food and friendly staff i've ever met! the events going on were amazing, I will be back!

Loved my stay the room service was excellent ❤️ valet was very helpful and friendly the breakfast buffet yet pricey very worth it you can even take it to go which was a plus for me. The rooms were spacious and beds were quite comfortable very cozy… Adventure around and find the HUB it's quite fun.

Attended a conference there. Great set up, courteous staff. Only issue was the hot water not working one morning… not good when you have 400 women at the conference. They fixed it quickly.

This hotel is nice. The parking is null and void. It's $45 for valet and the hotel doesn't have a parking garage of it's own. Unlike the Hyatt across the street. However there is a public parking down the street in walking distance for $20 overnight. The front desk reception was really nice. The hotel looks great. I was able to stay on the 33rd floor. The room was kind of warm even with the air being on 65 degrees. Figured it's because of the altitude i. E. Heat rises. However the room was comfy at night and the bed was soft. If they would lower the price of valet and/or get their own parking it would be an even better place to stay. Make sure you can read though, because you will get lost.

The location is in the middle of downtown, with many of the attractions in Atlanta within walking distance. Inside the hotel is beautiful. There is a really nice gym and pool area. The staff is very polite and are willing to help you out when needed. We stayed in a room with two double beds and a really nice view of the city. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was very clean. There is a refrigerator in the room and a microwave in the hotel for everyone to use.

A great place to stay in the metro Atlanta region. Friendly staff, lots of architectural details to great your eyes walking though the spaces. Here for a conference, the meeting room areas are a little tricky to discover if your are in the bottom rooms. There is the ability for 3 or more conferences to be going on at the same time, and during those times the Starbucks in this hotel is a madhouse between 7 and 9 am with lines out the door. Love the above ground walkway over to the shops… Once you figure out how to find it over in the Marriott tower section.

I really had a great time here and the staff, as well as the people staying there were very nice. As big as it is, I would've expect a bigger jacuzzi, especially being in the middle of a walking downtown city. There is no kind of breakfast, except room service offered which was kind of surprising. Our room had a coffee pot and dorm fridge, but no microwave which I thought was a bit weird. The valet parking was awesome! The hotel delivers the big outward thrills, but I feel they miss the small details. Honestly though, I would stay here again its in a great location… but I would make sure my room had a bathtub in it to soak in, we only had a roomy shower.

Three stars at best. The room was nice and clean, and the staff is responsive once you have an issue. No drawers in the room? Mediocre breakfast room service at best unless you order the night before. Unless you take some time to learn the lay of the land, which I had little time for, they know you are a captive audience and take advantage of that. I will not go into details but leave it at give me a Hilton any day of the week.

Nice hotel with great views of the ATL. Front desk staff are willing to help out in suggestions for local attractions and restaurants. We were blessed to meet Rita who works in guest services, I must say that she is head and shoulders above her co-workers! She went out of her way to make our stay the very best possible. I rated Marriott 5 star's but to be honest, I gave Mrs Rita 4 of these star's! Don't get me wrong the hotel is great! But sometimes the people that you meet working at these places makes your stay more meaningful and memorable! Thank you Rita for being so kind and caring to my family during our stay, looking forward to seeing you again soon!

This is a beautiful hotel but I only gave it 3 stars for a couple of reasons… we called twice prior to check in and both times were placed on hold for extensive amounts of time. When we checked in we had to wait in a line that took 40 minutes. Our room had a wet floor from some kind of leak; they quickly told us they would change our room but at almost 11pm at night with a very tired 9 year old, waiting 45 minutes for the room change was just too much. This hotel is enormous; 47 towering floors! It just doesn’t seem to have substantial amount of staff to man it. All the staff we encountered were extremely polite and courteous and helpful.

Had a nice stay at the Marriott, I can break down the rating in several categories; The hotel I give 3 stars it can use some minor fixes. The staff gets a 5+ they were exceptional in every way. The view from our room was beautiful and deserves a 5 along with other views from the hotel. The restaurants looked great, but I was not impressed with food or drinks, they get a 2 1/2. The pool, and gym I would rate a 4 nice setup for both. I would definitely return here again.

My go to hotel when I am in Atlanta. The hotel has cool views, great newly renovated rooms and a few restaurants in the hotels so you basically don't have to leave for anything. Did I mention a Starbucks as well? Checking in and checking out is always a breeze. Easily accessible to everything downtown Atlanta. I love this place!

We stayed here for a Convention this week and it was amazing! Clean, amazing views of the city, staff was very friendly. The Executive Chef Jonathan provided us with an amazing breakfast and went above and beyond by creating a special pineapple treat and bringing it to our table! It was a short walk to everywhere we needed to go, lots of great places to eat, and room service was great too. Loved the high speed glass elevators, they were fun to ride and provided a cool view of the amazing design work of this building. We loved everything about this Hotel and will be back for sure!

The hotel amenities and service are on par with other Marriott properties… Nothing too special. However, I'm giving 5 stars because of the hotel architecture. The internal, 47 floor open atrium is truly unique. The views from the 45th floor are amazing. I'm not one to focus on architecture, especially at a hotel. However, this place is just plain cool. If you can get a reasonable room rate, I recommend this location. Also, if you hate valet parking as much as I do, there are several nearby (right next to hotel) parking garages with rates similar to the valet rate, so you can get to your car when you need it without tipping. (If you like valet parking, I'm sure it's great here. )

Floor 16 and 17 has stay well rooms… you can change the lighting in your room and the showers have a vitamin c infused shower thing on them. It's cool! Bed was so comfortable I slept for 10+ hours. Loved the style of the hotel and the front desk was so nice. I ordered food and they were accommodating.

This hotel is extraordinarily beautiful and I had no issues, the hotel staff was fabulous. The one complaint I have is the parking. They charge $45.00 a night for parking in addition to the room fee. That’s just ridiculous! You’re making your money off the rooms, so need to charge for parking in your parking deck. Or at least lower it to something more reasonable that people would be willing to pay. Overall the parking was not a deal breaker for me and I would love to stay there again!

Very nice hotel in a super busy area of downtown Atlanta. You could tell there was a huge cross-section of people inside for a variety of different reasons. There was a ballroom dancing event, some other type a big conference, people walking around in swimsuits from the pool, pilots coming off duty, people headed to the club… It really felt like a mini-city inside. Though there were so many people, all of the customer service individuals were attentive and personal. The rooms were well appointed and the views were spectacular. You can literally see the whole city. My only complaint was that the valet was so expensive $45/day; and it was hard to figure out where to pick up your car. The pick up area was on a different level than drop off and you had to use a special set of elevators to get to them.

It is a place of the most cute. There are several shops and restaurants within the Marriott. On my visit, I went to Starbucks and I bought myself a tea.

We flew from Kansas City Mo to Atlanta for our first wedding anniversary. From check in to check out we were treated like royalty. From the front desk we were given a room on the 41st floor with a beautiful view. My husband preplanned our anniversary dinner speaking with Sidney in the Sear Restaurant prior to our trip. Her and the staff made sure our dinner was a night to remember. Our waiter Patrick was first class, along with the rest of the staff. Most important we’d like to thank Jennifer (RedCoat) for showing us pure southern hospitality. She made sure our stay at the Marriot Marquis was exceptional. We will never forget her and the entire staff. We will come back to Atlanta and always consider Marriott Marquis Atlanta our home. Carla and Lloyd.

Very nice and clean! The service is excellent! The concierge excellent. There is shopping within walking distance. My only complaint is parking. The hotel parking was full, so I had to park my car in a lot a block away. Beautiful view of the skyline.

The facilities, location, view are great. It is important to verify what we charge you when you stay, for me it was not clear that breakfast was not included, luckily there is a food fair in the next street and you can easily get through and the hallways that connect the buildings. The attention of the lobby was normal, nothing special. The price is medium-high. The rooms if they were at the height, everything worked perfectly.

What a literally fantastic hotel to be in. It's like a character all onto itself, when you're in the atrium, be it on any of the lower floors looking up, the middle floors amidst the sea of levels above or below, to the highest heights where your views out to Atlanta grow spectacular, and down through the entire interior of the hotel are certainly too much to take in on a glance. I found myself, seated on any of the many abundant, comfortable seats on multiple lobby levels, inevitably looking up in amazement to remind myself where I was. If you've got the chance, just sit on the loft before Pulse bar, and take a moment to lean back in a chair and marvel at the building above you. Our room was comfortable, the showers were good, room service was accommodating to our needs and did well for us. We held a convention here (Furry Weekend Atlanta), and to all reports, the hotel was good to us, and I hope we proved just as good to and for it, as it deserves our respect. We had a lost purse near the end, after enjoying a few good drinks at Pulse Bar — and we only realized it when we got back to our hotel room! A frantic trip down to the concierge had security on it promptly — and miraculously, someone had turned it in, untouched, and the hotel returned it to us, saving us a potentially agonizing ordeal, as well.

Stayed here for a furry convention. Awesome layout. Elevators a little wonky with that many people but not the worst. We had a king bed room in the corner, loved it. Bathroom was nice especially the shower. I asked for more towels and blankets and they were delivered quickly. Smart TV was a cool perk. Good location next to the mall. Easy check in and out, they let us check in at 11am when usually we have to wait til 4pm.

One of my all time favorite hotels, very beautiful inside and a great location. The hotel has great restaurants and bars, and with the Peachtree center food court a sky bridge away, it's easy to grab a quick bite as well. The rooms are always well cleaned and the decor and furnishings are fantastic. Usually get just a single king room but decided to try out a parlor suite this time and I'm not disappointed. Very spacious, well designed, and overall just a great room with plenty of space to entertain guests. If you're looking for a nice hotel in downtown Atlanta, this may be just what you're looking for!

Breath taking view when riding the elevators. Access to rooms very easy once you learn that different elevators take you to different floors. Upon checkout there is a wait when picking up your car from the parking garage. I was attending an event and was told I would receive discounted parking but upon getting my car, I did not get the discounted rate. There were literally 100 people behind me in line, so I didn't want to ruin everyone morning. I just paid the $45 rate and smiled.

Everyone was pleasant and helpful. The room was very large and contemporary. Shower was comfortable with great water pressure and temperature. The rooms could use a microwave and a larger refrigerator. Be careful with the Murphy bed! My friend hurt her toe when accidentally moving the bottom bar. Overall, very enjoyable stay!

Everyone is very nice. Huge hotel up to 30+ floors. Inside rooms were nice. This is an older building with some areas of improvement. Try to get a higher level room. I was on level 3 and because the hotel is like a dome shape, you come out of your room and see the balcony down to the lobby. So I was at the center and was above the Loft Pulse — a restaurant/bar. There was music for the majority of the day and you can hear sounds in the room but the air buffers as white noise. Ordered take out from their kitchen. Be mindful that if you have it delivered to your room it’s $5 charge or you can pick up and pay for it in the lobby out of the gift shop. Pricey but decent. Packaging was very nice. Conference rooms are cold. Bring a sweater. Fitness room/indoor and outdoor pool/spa services.

Nice hotel. I was really impressed when I first walked in. The staff is extremely professional. The rooms were good, but I was expecting them to be a little nicer based on how the lobby looked. The restaurants in the hotel are okay and definitely overpriced. I would recommend eating outside the hotel if you stay here. It was a nice hotel though and I'd stay here again.

Upscale hotel with trendy dining and drink options. Located the heart of downtown, a ten minute walk from Centennial Park. Beautiful city views from the higher floors. Pay attention to which elevators service which floors, as this can lead to confusion. And good luck using the elevators at all during peak times. Staff is incredibly courteous and handle the massive volume of guests rather effortlessly.

I loved this hotel (except for extensive elevator waits). The staff were exceptional without exception! The bed was WAY too hard for my comfort, but I slept on aligned pillows. Great location convenient to everything without outside exposure. I took hotel to airport via Marta without ever going outside.

Centrally located Marriott in Atlanta and it's one of the nice ones. Very easy access by car or Marta. The club lounge is nice but it can get very busy especially when conventions are at the hotel. Like the new look after the renovation, pretty nice. Some rooms have a very nice view of Atlanta.

Our room experience was good. However, two of our friends had things stolen out their rooms during the same stay. We were there for 6 nights. Room was cleaned everyday. We were provided fresh towels and sheets everyday. It was very BUSY hotel and unfortunately people we know did have things stolen out their rooms.

I recently visited this hotel in September for my older sisters birthday and I almost cried when I left. I didn’t want to leave. I HAVE TO go back. It was amazing. The atmosphere was so welcoming. The staff there was very professional, polite and knowledgeable. I loved that the hotel connected to the mall… and the pool… Omg! They have a bar! By the pool. I can go on and on about this hotel from views to the handsome corporate men in their suits walking around to the amazing restaurants in the hotel.

My family had such a wonderful time here. From the moment we stepped out of our vehicle and on through our entire two day stay til the time of check out I couldn't ask for a better experience. Everyone of the staff was polite, friendly, and went out of their way to be helpful. We enjoyed swimming in the pool and relaxing in the Jacuzzi. We ordered dinner and breakfast with room service which was on time, fresh, and hot. We couldn't be more pleased with our stay. I will definitely return when I visit Atlanta, Georgia.

We loved staying on the 41st floor. The view was great and the room was comfortable. We ordered breakfast each day (3 times) and it was delicious. We also got massages at the spa which felt amazing. Every person on the staff that we encountered was kind, courteous, and helpful.

I was here for a conference, not to stay. Gigantic, elegant, good Wi-Fi. The Buffet sandwiches Good.

Great stay and property. Hotel staff was very accommodating and was able to accommodate an immediate booking with a suite. Hilton was not accommodating at all so I was able to walk across the street and roll right into a room. Great experience and would recommend this hotel.

Great stay here. Much more modern than the adjacent Hilton. Rooms were fresh and they have an excellent view of the city. Even though the atrium is noisy the rooms are fairly quiet. Good air conditioning and a nice shower. Very clean.

My stay at the hotel was very good. Comfortable. All staff were courteous, polite, helpful. I feel parking should be included for hotel guests & not charged an additional fee. I was displeased that I was charged $45 a day for parking.

Great location. Easy to get to from the airport. Great views. Internet can get a bit pricey but really great connection and speed. Friendly and helpful staff. Lots of plugs and outlets for tech gear. Would visit again.

This hotel has a lot of sleeping rooms that are very friendly. There are also five floors with meeting rooms. The service is excellent. It is very circa to many amusements in Atlanta. The downside is that it is very expensive.

I like the room and the service. I would return to the Atlanta Marriott Marquis if I am in Atlanta.

The hotel is top notch. Check in was a breeze and everyone was pleasant. I was able to check in early at 1pm with no problem. There is Starbucks in the main lobby and a few bars/restaurants. There are over 40 floors and being on one of the top floors I never had a problem waiting for a elevator. The room was nicely appointed and had everything you would expect from a Marriott.

Hotel staff is extremely attentive. Great location. Lots of walkable entertainment (malls, etc) and food. The hotel architecture is very unique and everyone took at least a couple photos when they arrive and go into the main atrium.

The hotel is beautiful, the care fantastic, very convenient location. It is a rather delicious and full of life.

I stay at the Atlanta Marriott every Labor Day weekend, and it's the high point of my year — like Christmas and your birthday wrapped into one. The building is absolutely gorgeous and the staff is friendly and generally eager to help. My only criticism is that the room you reserve isn't always the room you get, and the desk staff seems unsympathetic. We reserved a room almost a year in advance with handicapped access for one of the people in our party, and didn't find out until we checked in that they had somehow "run out" of rooms that could accommodate our needs. I guess "reservation" means something different to them.

I stay here weekly due to the convenience of where I travel to for work. This a very poorly run hotel. Called front desk this morning and was on hold for 30 minutes before giving up. TV reception is consistently poor for no reason — like you are watching satellite during a major thunderstorm. Some rooms climate control is poor (can't get it to stay consistently cool) and its warm/hot once you step outside your room into the hallways, especially the higher your room is. Rooms are nice and they make a good hamburger — so I guess there is that. For the money, go elsewhere. I am.

Great hotel! The staff, especially in the concierge lounge, and the management are all extremely helpful and friendly. The beds are some of the softest I've slept on. Only complaint would be that it does get a little more humid on the higher floors, so naturally adjust the thermostat to a few degrees lower than your home after you check in. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Atlanta.

Experience, quality and service excellence- This hotel offers it all. Our sales agent Mary was so sweet to send us champagne and chocolate covered strawberries to celebrate our anniversary. I ended up having tightness in my back and the spa staff were able to accommodate me with such short notice. I ended up getting a great massage from Renne which helped tremendously with my lower back pain. I was even able to get a fabulous manicure & pedicure from Sonia at the spa who ultimately made me feel so special! Great staff and hospitality at this hotel. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone staying in the Atlanta area!

It could be better. The staff at the front desk is friendly, Rooms don't smell as good as I expected.

Enormous hotel, very busy, but well organized. We always had help if we needed it. They gave us a free upgrade to a stay well room, which was fun. The water was brown when we first arrived, like it hadn't run in a while, but it cleared up quickly and tasted fine. Location is perfect for setting centennial Olympic Park, world of Coke, aquarium and more. We loved Atlanta and want to go back. We'd stay here again for sure.

Great entrance. Paying 45 dollars for parking was a bit much. The rooms are basic. Stains in carpets. Found an earring back and finger nail in bed. Water in shower did not fully turn on leaving water to build up fast and not drain properly. I have paid half the price for a better hotel. Cleanliness is not housekeeping priorities! Just turning the room over for the next.

Beautiful, huge hotel with a convenient location downtown! Just a 10 minute walk from the Georgia Aquarium and other great attractions and restaurants. The room was clean and comfortable, though small (room with a single King), and I enjoyed the swimming pool. There is also a convenience store, a spa, Starbucks, and other restaurants inside. The rooms used for our meeting were well set up for giving professional looking presentations. Thanks for the pleasant visit!

My service was 5 star from check in to check out, the process was smooth and quick. The room was very comfortable, the bed was amazing — best night of sleep that I've had in a long time. One near feature was the automatic night light, using motion detection sensors a light underneath the bed would come on when I got out of bed during the night so that I could see where I was going without disturbing my wife! The hotel is surrounded by tons of food choices and bars, you won't be bored if you stay here.

I stayed in the Hyatt Regency across the street for the National FBLA Conference and spent plenty of time at the Marriott Marquis the conference used almost all of its banquet space as well as the Hyatt's. It was a great location for the conference. Friendly staff, very clean and comfortable building. If you're thinking about hosting a conference here I'd highly recommend it.

Location was easy to get to the Marta … Very clean room … Friendly staff … very nice room and unique lamps in the room … They also had a few USB ports in the room … Beds was comfortable and plenty of pillows… Nice central air unit like at home … Very unique lobby and lounging was so big excellent for a family reunion stay … my your experience was complete. I will be back soon.

Hotel was clean and spacious. The building architecture is interesting and fun to see from the glass elevators as you rise up inside the tower. For options are available, bit you may be better getting out and exploring some options around Atlanta. The Starbucks in the lobby does not offer breakfast sandwiches and does not toast bagels (though they do have bagels). There is a full service Starbucks just over a block away. Would be nice if there was free Wi-Fi, but the lack of free Wi-Fi seems to be pretty common in convention style hotels. Staff is friendly and attentive.

Let me start off by the careless customer service in the beginning. The woman that checked us in wasn't very friendly, and became more and more cold as we talked to her. To really get into the issue, we RESERVED, not requested, reserved a room with 2 beds and accommodates 4. You cannot state a room has space for 4 guests, then say you "ran out" and can only give us 1 bed! Clearly because we used a family and friend discount they put our priorities in the garbage. Beware! If you do use any sort of room discount they will disregard any "reservations" you put down. Your reservation becomes a request, so if you get it then you get it. The woman basically shrugged us off and got her manager. Neither of them offered any sort of compensation for our "inconvenience" which is more of a giant problem when we can't fit everyone in our room! Also, they refused to send 2 roll away beds which would of somewhat solved our issue. They can only put one…? My only compliment for this hotel is the room set up and design. Marqui's room is updated to chic modern and it's comfortable.

The rooms are large and views are great. Honestly, I really love the shape of the hotel, it is one of Atlanta's cooler buildings. Just a really clean hotel. Fairly clean as well. Location is also great, everything is really close to here.

The Atlanta Marriott Marquis is a very beautiful open Hotel. After speaking with a maintenance manager he informed us that the hotel had just gone through a facelift which in my opinion turned out beautifully. There there were a few items that I disapproved of, which had to do with their billing. Being a military veteran, I asked if they honored a discount. Everyone said yes, but only if you registered a room online. That made absolutely no sense to me. Then when I finally let that go, they told me the room was one price for the first night but the second night's price would go "Up. " That's right Up over an additional $130.00. WHAT! And during the time that we were discussing the above matter the price had gone up $30 more dollars. How in the world does that happen, it was like price gouging and bait and switch all in one. I didn't pay the additional $30, and decided not to stay the second night.

No microwave no fridge, no washers or dryers's, dry cleaning only, cooling/heating system so loud you can't watch TV without having it on maximum volume! This place makes Motel 6 look good! I complained about the noise, they came and worked on it and I couldn't even tell! Pretty bad for $250 a night!

I went at the beginning of January. I stayed for only 3 days. The hotel room was nice but small. The bathroom didn't have enough towels. We called for more towels, we didn't get them until room service came and knocked on our door at 3 in the morning while we were trying to sleep. Also, during the process… things were stolen from our room and our bags were completely went through. I was highly disappointed in this considering the amount we paid to stay in such a 'nice' hotel. We never heard back from the hotel concerning the situation. The view was nice and the manager was very respectful when our things got stolen. However, the people at the front desk were rude and acted as if they didn't want to help us. I will NOT be back to this hotel!

The hotel itself is rather amazing upon sight, the rooms are awesomely decorated the attendants throughout the hotel, during our travels yet upon arrival we contacted the front desk to make sure that our room was still available because we were traveling by car from Maryland to Atlanta and we were running a little behind and the receptionist (Angela) that answered the phone had a bit of an attitude and a very unfriendly tone and was less helpful then she should have been when informing us about the room availability. We were also told that the amenities we're complimentary per our stay at the hotel for instance the parking the Internet the room service, however the internet you have to pay for it was unlike most hotels when you enter your room number and aquire service, the parking was $35 a day even after asking the valet several times if we had to pay per day or at all he told us no, and the food from room service (which was to be complimentary as well because we were military veterans staying there and that was what we were told by the Priceline agent who book the hotel for us, ) that was prepared was completely smothered with grease and all I ordered was a grilled cheese sandwich french fries and bacon the sandwich tasted like every bit of grease after each bite the bacon was completely saturated and the fries were cold and hard and the canned coke and sliced tomatoes were room temperature and that entire plate had the audacity to be $30,.

My stay at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis was phenomenal! The service, cleaning, and the hospitalized was unbeatable.

Room was clean but I am not a fan of contemporary design. Little storage for clothes (staying for a 4-day conference). Glass shower sliding door is cleaner than a rod/curtain but eliminates a way to hang up wet towels. No hotel book (missing? ) so did not have hotel map (ice/soda locations?, safe instructions, services? ). Food is expensive ($24 for an egg/bacon breakfast). Biggest disappointment was lack of directional signs from the Peachtree Mall skybridge (the closest MARTA stop from airport station). Once across the skybridge there are no signs to the hotel. Had to ask a guard. Once in the hotel, sign to the registration desk was wrong. Unless you are here to see the "Lobby" is 3 floors and massive as they can handle large conferences (1000+) Just fyi but walked back to the Mall food court shops and found most closed at 5pm and most of the rest at 7pm.

Stayed in the hotel for the Passion conference. Location is great. Can walk to pretty much anywhere you need to from the hotel. For the hotel, it is probably the nicest hotel I've ever stayed in. The main part of the hotel looked crazy with the 500ft opening all the way to the top. Rates are competitive. Would recommend.

The rooms are perfect for a couple. The size of the bathroom is a little small.
People are well helpful and always want you to help.
The hotel is very big. This connected to several buildings and even a mall. If they don't want to leave the air conditioning or escape it cold, the buildings are within the connected tunnels.
My room included breakfast and parking which is deemed a bargain because you save $30 if you buy everything separately. The breakfast included is well good and has something for all tastes.

Maylita was my bartender at Pulse in the bar downstairs and there was probably 50+ people and only her. She did a fantastic job with a good attitude of delivering prompt friendly service. No one around me or myself waited a long time for a drink or shots. Just wanted to give this lady a shout out for doing a fantastic job!

UPDATE 10/1/15: Chandra Walker, Guest Relations Manager, acknowledged my dissatisfaction with the $289 rate for the extra night and issued a refund to make that rate more reasonable. I appreciate her prompt attention and corrective action. ORIGINAL POST: Staff and facilities are good but there are serious problems here. I requested extra equipment. They do not offer all I needed but I reserved what they had, agreed to the extra charge, and planned for that equipment. When I checked in they said they were out and I never saw it. They gave me a bill but added a parking charge after I left making the charge on my card greater than the bill they gave me. I was there for the IRS tax forum and received the group rate of $139 per night. They ended the group rate half way through the last day. The regular rate was more than double, a fact that made one extra night cost more than half of the entire bill. They told me it would increase but they advertise rates that are only 10-15% higher. The 107% increase was a shock. When I contacted Marriott customer service I discovered this property is independent and not under the control of Marriott itself. I cannot recommend this property.

This hotel is terrible. The valet is a nightmare, waited up to 20 minutes to drop off my car and even longer to pick up. My car was also damaged but I was told there are no cameras in the parking garage so it couldn't be determined if it happened there. Also, no mini-bar, microwaves or free Wi-Fi. Tried to have my credit card used for incidentals but every time I called room service, I was told I had no credit card on file. This didn't stop the 50 dollar hold per room on my credit card from appearing though. I was told I had to use cash if I wanted room service. Once I agreed to pay cash, I was told it would be an hour before my food would be delivered. Save yourself the headache and avoid this place. There are plenty of nicer and more professional hotels in that area.

This is the worst Marriott I have ever stayed in. I'm in a "Marriott room of the future. " If this is Marriott's future, they will be out of business. When I went into the bathroom I discovered that the shower was full of hair. No drawer space to unpack in for a stay for a few days. No closet, just a small shelf with hangars at the entrance. I'm in a king-size room and it has only a single chair. Guess it is a good thing my significant other didn't come with! We'd have no place to put both of our clothes because we both like to unpack and put things away the minute we get into a hotel room. And if we wanted to have room service, either he or I would have had to sit on the bed to eat! The only positive thing I can say about this hotel is the view from the 44th floor is stunning and the concierge lounge is good!

After convincing friends to stay at the Marquis instead if Westin, I was soo embarrassed. The hotel is undergoing renovation this entire year, which I was NOT informed of when I made reservations, OR even upon checking in. We found about it when we got up to our room on the 30th floor, only to find floors 25-29 were under construction. We heard drills, hammering, sawing and such until 11:30-12:00 pm. So very disappointed in Marriott. I wish I had been given the option of knowing this in advance so we could have stayed somewhere else. Looks like from now on it's the Westin or the Hyatt. Ps, I am/was a Marriott Rewards member. Good bye Marriott!

THE STAFF IS SO MEAN! Never stay at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis! First they don’t have a microwave & they told us they would warm our food up for $4! Now today they said they can’t because it’s not from their high priced hotel food. Parking per day is $35. They have no air condition in the hallways or elevators. Some of the staff has nasty attitudes. The drink machines do not work. Save your money & time. We paid so much to stay here and it’s horrible. Plus the have no refrigerators to keep yourr food cold! Even the cheapest hotels have that. NEVER AGAIN! Will I stay there! DO NOT waste your money!

I felt like this hotel is charging me everything they could. In room water is $6 per bottle, and only valet parking is available, which is $35per night, even Wi-Fi is $14.95 per day. And they don't serve complimentary breakfast either. Just everything is unpredictable.

The mod on the elevators in this hotel are pure horse poop they have now boring *Generic* otis series 7 fixtures and boring floor indicators instead of the fun and amusing OTIS elevonic 401 elevators with the runaway floor indicators and those "romantic" buttons.

This hotel has no customer service there only concern is making the most money they can per a room. I stayed here once b4 and couldn't get simple issues resolved. Now I've booked a room and cancelled they want to charge me a no show fee of $200.00. This is by far the worst hotel experience I have ever had.

My Experience at this hotel was HORRIBLE! I Traveled 11 hours from Michigan to stay at this hotel for an event that was being hosted. When I arrived I expressed to the man that I did not want to pay for Valet Parking. He started to give me directions to the parking garage and then says "you know what don't worry about it. " And gives me the Valet. My assumptions were that he was going to wave the fee because when someone says don't worry about it after you express that you don't want to do something, usually that means forget about the topic at hand and they will take care of it. When I'm checking out and going to get my car they tell me I had to pay. I told them what the man said. The manager was called over and he turned out to be the Manager. SMH he then twists his words around and says that he meant don't worry about Parking in the Garage just get it Valet. Why on earth would I agree to that after expressing to him for 5 minutes that I didn't want to pay for Valet. Then he knocks $15 off. Why would he take $15 off if he didn't say what he said in the first place. Then he asked if I wanted his full name, which I had already obtained. I told him I had it and he then tells me that he receives the emails. So who am I going to complain to about this situation if he receives the complaint emails?! Its ridiculous. His name is Demond Fleming and being a manager he should not twist his words around. That is bad customer service.

The bedspread had stains. The carpet had stains. The trash can in the bathroom had rust and no trash bag. We went down to have dinner and we were not even acknowledged. We came to the room to order room service and stayed on hold for 30 minutes. We ended up ordering pizza. In which, (by the way) they made us come down to the lobby to get and would not bring it up. The next morning we went to the pool. The lobby bathrooms were dirty, clogged toilets, dirty wine glasses, and trash everywhere.

Most all of the staff was great. The valet, not so much. They either couldn't find my car or I had to wait 20 plus minutes for it to brought to me. The drop off experience was not any better. A few times I just had to get out and hand someone my keys. Overall, we had a good stay, just wish the valet was better.

This hotel has a great look and feel on the inside. With an elegant lobby and amazing customer service, the Atlanta Marquis in Atlanta was a nice place to stay. However, I would like to add that the rooms are quite small. Overall, the location was perfect, and I enjoyed my stay.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel this weekend (April 17-19) and for such a "nice hotel" and for the price we payed, we definitely expected more from this experience. To start with: — No ice bucket in the room, we got it like an hour later after requesting it! — Only one big towel (we reserved a king room for two) — We ordered room service late night (pizza nothing out the world) it took them like 2 hours to deliver it! of course, after we called again! — Next, the guy at the front desk never used our Marriott rewards number for us to get our points. We gave him the number and he just wrote it down and said he will do it. Luckily my husband checked with the receptionist when we checked out. BEST PART! We used the valet parking service which is $35/day, e tried to call the number the morning of checkout (today) and nobody answered. We go to their front desk (there was a long line) fine we understood, the problem was that many people came last and they were getting their car, it happened over and over again. Finally some lady comes and gets our ticket number just to do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! I had to go to the front desk and complain to finally have our car! horrible organization. Ticket were given but no order to deliver the cars was set. We won't be staying here in the future, we really like Marriott hotels a lot, but this particular one just ruined our get away weekend.

The staff is fabulous. They were all so polite and helpful. The elevators are dreadful but the convenience to everything is worth it.

There wasn't much to like except the friendly staff. No free Wi-Fi. No free parking. And the elevators were terrible. Me and a friend just stayed for FWA and most of the time you waited 20 to 40 minutes for an elevator. And what is with the parking? I stayed at a flea bit motel last year and it had both free Wi-Fi and parking for a third of the cost.

The Atlanta Marriott Marquis was once a beautiful place to stay with 5 STAR service but it seems to have declined over the past few years. After this latest stay, I decided to rate it — maybe it will make a difference to management. Upon arrival this week, I waited in line for about 30 minutes only to find out that my room was not ready. They took my cell number and said that they would call me when the room was ready. I waited 1.5 hours and noticed that others were getting rooms. I waited in line again and was finally given a room (not sure why I wasn't called). The room was much smaller than I remembered from my past visits and it looked dated. They gave me a $25.00 credit for the trouble. The next morning I called and asked for my car. When I got down to the parking garage, I noticed that my car was directly in the front but no one knew where my keys were. FIFTEEN minutes later — an apologetic employee gave me my keys. I returned to the hotel after my meetings and went up to my room only to find that my key did not work — I waited 10 minutes for an elevator and went down to the desk. Apparently, they checked me out for the day and that was the reason my key did not work. The person at the desk said that he did not have authority to code me a new key (something about the computer stating that the room could not be released because it needed to be cleaned) so I waited for quite some time for someone with access to provide a new key.

I stayed this past weekend and I must stay this hotel was not what I expected it to be. The information you read online does not stand true once you arrive at the hotel. First no-no was parking. When you pull in they tell you all they have is Valet. Well online it states they have self park and valet. Then you let them take your car to valet only to find out it's $35 per day when the Ritz Carlton is on $20. Then they solicit in and out rights at the $20 lot online, but when you arrive they tell you it's $20 each time you go in and out. Then the room and hotel is nothing fancy or upper class. Just your typical hotel. You also do not have Wi-Fi in this day and age that is huge. I was extremely upset about this. They do not keep the premises clean so we stayed 3 days and the same trash, bottles and glasses laid on the ground and on ledges in front of the hotel. Then the bed linen was ripped and had stains on it. Had it changed and still ended up with more torn bed linen. The most important thing is you pay $35 per day to park your car and when you go pick your car up they never ask for ID. If someone found or stole my valet slip they would be able to get my car with no problems. So this was not a good experience for me.

Maybe I'm becoming a hotel snob. Or maybe I expect pricier hotels to go above and beyond. Who knows! That's not to say the Marriott Marquis isn't a good hotel. It's ideal if you are here for a large conference where everyone stays at the same place. But once you factor in price, I feel like I should be able to say "Next time, here for sure". N-o-p-e. The 1st negative was the fact I was given the wrong room and bed. And after explaining and showing my reservation, I was essentially told due to the Peach Bowl and being overbooked, there was nothing they could do for me. This is when I expect a hotel to do something more for the customer. My room package included the concierge floor which essentially is continental breakfast (cash bar for everything else). A nice amenity except the fact that everyone can get to the concierge floor and get it. So what's the point of being an elite member? You just take the elevator and walk in or if you don't have a key, wait till someone comes out and walk in. The room was cool and neat, albeit again, the wrong room. But the beds were comfortable and I had an amazing view of downtown Atlanta. Pretty decent bathrooms but nothing spectacular. The best thing about the hotel is it's location and it has tons of restaurants/stores inside, again, which makes it ideal for a convention. Despite the room error, I can say the staff was very friendly. I just wish the hotel offered more.

I just got bumped (er. Relocated) along with 200 customers as the Marriott is oversold. Never got to experience it. What 's worst is that Marriott relocated us to a hotel which declined at first that they have the information. After 30 minutes on phone with 3 hotels, we are now being confirmed. I booked in October. But now booted out for last minute customers who pay more? Brilliant Marriott.

Words can't describe my thoughts and feelings about this amazing hotel. First a very special thank you too Chandra Walker who helped me before I even arrived in Atlanta! Also special thank you to Shalonda who checked me in and gave me some of the most top notch service I have ever encountered. The rest of the staff in and around the hotel were magnificent. The hotel architecture and ambiance is something out of a sci-fi movie. They filmed some of hunger games at this hotel. I have truly found a home whenever I am in Atlanta. Special thank you too Tyler and the rest of the Concierge crew who answered literally all my questions.

We checked out on Sunday January 18th after a 5 day 4 night stay. This was an amazing hotel. The staff is very nice and very accommodating. The concierge was very helpful when we asked about nearby restaurants, bars, shopping and things to do and see. The hotel room was small but very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Within walking distance to shops, restaurants and attractions. You must go have a cocktail at Pulse Bar on the Atrium Level Floor it is a great view of the entire hotel. While sitting there the bartender told us Hunger Games was filmed there and when looking around I noticed the screens from The Hunger Games. A Starbucks in the lobby was just another plus. We enjoyed our stay hope to be back one day.

Got an upgrade to the 40th floor for our anniversary. The view was AMAZING! I definitely want to return one day.

Freaking amazing hotel. The inside atrium looks like something out of a science fiction movie. There's a Starbucks in the lobby. Great dining options. Rooms are terrific. Staff is awesome. Loved staying there for one of our company events. It's not your average hotel.

Terrible customer service. Going to band nationals coming up in Nov. This is our first year involved in band so I was not aware of how to book the reservations. I booked them online instead of through the school. I then learned through the school that I could book through them and get a group rate. Several parents told me they paid much less than I did. When I called them to inquire about this and see about canceling and re booking under the school we are traveling with they told me I could not as the group rate had expired (it had not, b/c I just talked to the school). They also said if I cancelled the current reservation I would still be charged. Wish I could just stay somewhere else at this point if this is how they treat there customers. Will stay somewhere else next year.

I was there this past week with my family and it was amazing. The infrastructure of the building was exuberant. Later that day, I read all the negative reviews that was published about this hotel. Some of the complaints are true; low water pressure, no refrigerator nor microwave. I further acclimated myself with others experiences and check their complaints myself. I read about the beds having stains on them; therefore, I checked the beds to ensure that my family would not experience what others had. Sadly to say I did experience one of many complaints that was posted. However; once we notified the front desk, they were very helpful and put us in another room, credited us $108.00 breakfast, which fabulous, and assist us with other issues like parking which cost us $105. They in turned gave us free valet parking and credit us on our bill for compensation loss. I must admit that they did took care of any situation that arose. The management staff, the employees all were amazing. Although we had issues my family is looking forward to staying in the near future. The hospitality was incomparable.

I stayed at this particular hotel on August 22, 2014 and I have to tell you that my first experience was "breath taking". I have stayed at several marriotts. Matter of fact, I stay at a lot of marriotts just to get reward points so this was just another notch under the belt and when I say this place was amazing, I mean simply amazing. This has th be the largest hotel I ever stayed in my life. I used mobile check in so when I showed up I got my key and check in my room in minutes literally. I was able the check in at 9:30am in the morning when normal check in isn't till 4pm. The view was amazing and the location is PERFECTION! If you haven't stayed at the Marriott Marquis yet, you haven't been to a real Atlanta hotel yet. If your a Marriott Member you will get amazing rates at this location. Pictures getting a 5 star VIP Suite at a 1 star hotel price. Enough Said.
