Beware: They started charging for parking without informing guests ahead of time. It’s 10.00 per night. There are other hotels equally as nice that don’t charge. So, prepare for another nickel and dime charge.

Better security in their parking lot. We were parked in handicap parking and someone smashed our window, but did not gain entry into the car. Security was not concerned. Mike wrote down in a notebook promised a meal in the dining room and didn’t follow thru with that. Beware and alert if you choose to stay here. First room we were given had no air conditioner, second room it didn’t work either. Will not be returning to this hotel after staying there around 20 different times. Usually 2 times a year. Food in restaurant was very good.

Don’t leave any valuable stuff in your room it will disappear and they will just say there is a safe in the room bottom line House keeping =Thieves. My son accidentally left his chain on bathroom counter after shower and it was stolen from room. Be careful what you leave in room! It was a necklace given to him from his deceased Grandfather it sucks that you can’t trust people to leave stuff alone that doesn’t belong to them. Will never stay there again or let house keeping in room until I check out!

This is an excellent hotel! The service was awesome, rooms were clean and very accommodating.

The staff are very welcoming and eager to assist. The bar has a great menu and local beer selection. The rooms are very spacious and well kept. Very comfortable. I will definitely stay again.

The service was pleasant. The room was clean, modern and a very nice size. My wife loved the shower and the black out curtains kept the room very dark for a restful evening. The bed was comfortable, although the pillow was a little soft for my taste. Overall, it was a wonderful stay and we hope to stay again when are in the area.

I was there for training with my DS company in a conference room. The room was very nice with lots of room and plenty of space for taking notes. Loved that it had outlets at the desk I was at. A gathering area in the back foot socializing during breaks. It was very nice.

July 29, 2018 Very classy hotel, from the moment when we walked in to check in we were greeted by a very friendly clerk. We stayed one night due to an Emory appointment. This hotel was beautiful, very well kept up. We had a wonderful experience with our one night stay, wished we could of stayed longer. It’s located in a very safe and nice business section.

Man, I wish there was a 0 Star option… I checked in on a Sunday for a week long conference. Since I loath driving in Atlanta, my car stayed there. On Tuesday morning I went to my car to grab an item and noticed a car a tad too close for comfort. As OCD as I am, I took a photo of the car and mine, assuming nothing would come of it. At the dismissal for lunch, I returned to the parking lot to ride with some friends and noticed my car had been hit. Due to the manager not wanting to spend money on cameras there aren’t any. I spent my entire afternoon doing my own investigation with local authorities, missing my conference. Later on the car who hit me was identified and their car was damaged exactly where it hit mine. Fast forward, now it’s two weeks later and the other part’s insurance won’t pay since there were no cameras proving he hit my car. Marriott has turned it to their insurance who I’m fighting with. Just spoke to my attorney who has identified this as a clear small claims court case. Wow. Just wow! Can’t anyone take responsibility? The Kroger down the road has better security services than this 3-4 star hotel. I’ve recently found out there has been a mugging and beating in the hotel lobby, poor guest, no cameras. When is money not the root of this hotels priorities? When are guest, employees and their safety their.

The newly remodeled rooms are very nice… However I was unfortunately trapped in the restroom of their new room units, due to the "rolling barnyard" style door wheels falling off of the hinges in room 1512. Due to the weight of the door and the poor design of the door on the inside of the bathroom, I had to use the tips of my fingers to lift the entire 50lb+ door back onto the tracks at the top. This was after 20 minutes or so of me trying to figure out what was wrong and why I was trapped, and then when I figured it out it took an additional 10 minutes to get it back on track (my fingers were blood red and purple after). This was incident documented with the manager and engineer, and their pleasant nature, great staff, and nice design is what made me decide to give them 5 stars. Though I do not like the fact that residents staying there have to pay for Wi-Fi…

Location was great, right on the highway and close to downtown Atlanta. The rooms were newly renovated and beautiful. Staff was great. The lobby is under construction but it was not inconvenient.

Not a good experience… We arrived around 2am and Shante at the front desk left a note that said “Be Back in 15 Min” yet she was NOT. So, we waited… in the middle of the night… so she could finish visiting the party on the 15th floor. Other employees tried to be helpful but could not give us the keys to our room. Once she arrived back at the desk, she did not apologize and just said “she was with a guest”. I would have given a better review if it weren’t for her.

I was dissatisfied with the majority of my stay. I was hosting a group of interns from out of town and unfortunately this hotel caused their overall experience to be less than excellent. Day 1. The restaurant downstairs had us waiting for 50 minutes before coming out to tell us that our order never made it to the kitchen and blamed it on the renovation causing the computer to not sync to the chefs. One of intern’s toilet didn’t work her entire stay. She asked 4 times for maintenance to fix it. They never came. Day 2. Tried breakfast again 4 out of our 8 orders were wrong even though the manager took our order. Total lack of communication. We had to constantly flag down people to fill our drinks. We never had an actual server. The front desk personnel were unorganized and the customers could feel their chaos through their misinformation and rude tones. The best part about the hotel is the shuttle service. Derek was amazing in the morning and was passionate about providing great service. Donte was super accommodating in the evening. The interns and I are in the property management business and used this experience as a trainable moment of what not to do in customer service.

Hospitality is horrible and the fact that they’re undergoing renovations right now, which has resulted in closure of their amenities, doesn’t help. The staff members aren’t all on the same page. A worker initially told me and the others in my party that we wouldn’t be charged if we put a card on file for damages but we were still charged before we even checked out. Some were charged over $400 and then needed to wait 3-5 days for a refund, though it was the hotel’s fault. The rooms felt and smelled of humidity and the toilets get clogged after only putting small amounts of toilet paper down. Finally, the restaurant on the first floor offers poor service. The service is slow and the orders were not correct both mornings that we ordered.

Nice room. Friendly staff. No TV eg. No news or pay for view… no good. Running late at 7am… asked if I could get a coffee to go, was told to go to Starbucks by the service wait staff… are you kidding me?

EDIT AS OF 5/19/18: Spoke with Jonathan at the front desk. He has offered suitable compensation in a very timely manner. Thank you for hearing me out and making this right. Going to increase this rating from a 1☆ to a 5☆ due to his speed and courtesy. Tonight (5/7/18) at 0230 hours, the fire alarm in our room went off in our room without any reason. It was a nice room. They we're in the middle of renovations, so everything was still new. There were quite a few problems, though. First, the shower doors were installed incorrectly and opened on their own from both sides (double sliding doors). We had to stuff a wash rag into the rails to keep it closed. There was also no hot water. There was slightly warm water, then cold water, then warm again, then ice cold, then finally just warm enough to actually get a shower. Never actually hot, though. And the bathroom door (sliding door, again) has no handle on the inside, so good luck clawing your way out in the middle of the night. A car was also broken into and it's wheels stolen 2 cars down from ours during the night. I did like the room overall, though. The staff was friendly. The room service breakfast was very good, even if they forgot a couple of things and had to come back. And everything was very clean, despite the ongoing construction. It was nice, but there were just a lot of little annoyances.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! I made a serious mistake deciding to stay at this hotel. I really expected a good stay since it was the Marriott, and located in a very nice area. However, I was so wrong. I checked in on Thursday evening for a two day stay. #1… The CHECK IN guy talked so fast, I barley could even understand him, and I had to keep asking him questions about the internet. If you are not a Marriott member, the cost for the internet is over 12.00 for your room a day. Then, he had problems finding my reservation. #2… When I checked into my room, and getting settled, I noticed that the TOILET didn't flush! When I went to the telephone to call front desk, I just happened to look down by the bed, and to my surprise, there was a used dirty "CONDOM" on the floor by the bed and nightstand. How gross and nasty! They ended up changing me to another floor. #3… When I checked into the new room, the TELEPHONE did not work for an entire day, and it took the maintenance person close to an hour to get the phone fixed. He explained it had some kind of code on it that prevented calls from being made to the room. The phone had no dial tone, and in order to make a call, you had to unplug the phone from the back, and plug it back in, and after about 10 seconds, it would shut off again. The HEAT in the room did not work. It never heated the room up. When I talked to the front desk to complain late that night/morning, she told me to put the heat on auto and on 75 to get the room hot.

I liked the room. They were doing construction at the time but I knew that during booking. Plenty of parking spots. I did not like that the rooms didn't have microwaves and you had to go to the gift shop t warm up stuff. The staff was friendly. Great access to the interstate. A lot of stuff nearby.

Service was great as usual; the ONLY reason this isn't a five-star review is due 2 issues: the noise from the construction, which is understandable, and the TV remote in my room was having serious issues. I've stayed at this hotel several times and otherwise had a fantastic experience. Food at the restaurant was great, as were the drinks. Highly recommended.

Nice location for business on Northeast side of town. Finishing up renovations. New rooms are nice modern upgrade.

The conference area of the hotel is currently going through renovations so a it's not as polished as it'll eventually be but they have opened up an additional area near the main conference room so that helped to alleviate some of the congestion that tends to build in the main hallway as well as in the immediate area just outside the main conference room/area. Aside from that the main lobby feels slightly more cramped than before but the cafe does have longer hours. I was only there for a few hours of social gathering so I don't know about remodeling being done to the guest rooms but once the conference area is completed, it will be interesting to see how it turns out. Overall, experience was good though, one more thing, parking was still rather limited, especially, during peak times.

Went for a convention. Was only there for an afternoon, so I didn't have a room. The lobby was very clean and the staff was friendly. Ate lunch at the restaurant in the middle of the lobby. Food was delicious and servor was very courteous and prompt. Would definitely recommend!

The company I work for had their annual Christmas party here and it was really nice! We had fantastic service. There is also a Starbucks inside which is really convenient.

Not much in the immediate surrounding but relatively close to food and drinks. Currently undergoing construction which impacted noise levels and water availability periodically. Overall extremely friendly staff though.

Hotel's appearance is nice and the staff were all very friendly but, on the coldest day so far this winter, the heating didn't seem to be working. Our room never got above 64F all night. The hotel was also cold, most of the staff were working with their coats on. For a family of 4 the bathroom was too small but would be okay for just 1-2 occupants. We ate in the hotel restaurant but, for the price, the food was worse than average. My fried chicken sandwich was very salty on one end and not very tasty for the rest of it. The bun was falling apart as I picked it up. The boys had chicken wings which were hard on the outside but ikay in the middle. My wife said her Marriott burger was okay. The bar wasn't serving draft beer because the pump had frozen! Overall, for over $200 for the night, I can't say I was satisfied.

Extremely friendly and hospitable staff. Rooms have an older feel, but we're well-kept and clean. Current renovations include every room, so I have no doubt they'll be brought up to speed. Plenty of parking and seems to be in a nice neighborhood. Overall a good experience.

I didnt stay here, BUT. I reserved the trip for business purposes for work. The person staying here said, it was nice. My lower review is for the office staff. I have called twice now asking for itemized receipts for reimbursement both times, the front desk person Janell is rude and will not let you tell her/him what you are needing. Just says I'll send the information. How when you don't know what I am asking for? so today I call accounting, and same rude people again, what's your email I'll send it, what exactly are you sending I haven't given you all the information? Oh I thought you just needed hotel stay information, … Me, no I need itemized receipts for 3 days of meal charges to hotel room. If you would let me finish my sentence you would know. I don't know what they are teaching people these days, but being rude is not customer service. Listening and waiting till a person is done talking to respond is common sense. I will not book any people here again.

People were fighting next door. They were extremely loud! The arguing went on for hours before anyone came to see what was going on. And at 6am there was construction working on the hotel! The stay wasn't pleasant at all! We didn't get any rest due to the arguing and construction… There was a refrigerator but no microwave! You pay a good amount of money and did not enjoy it! I will probably not book this property again. This was highly ridiculous!

I came here for a memorial service. The hotel is under construction, but they have quiet hours between 6pm and 9am. The room is nice! The king bed and pillows are very comfortable, and they have everything you need in the room (refridgerator, coffee machine, office desk, iron, etc. ) The breakfast is great! A lot of choices and they have servers to serve you. The hotel has a huge lobby area with flat-screen TV and comfy couches. The hotel is clean and front desk staff are very patient with us.

I was there for CONjuration this year, and overall I think it worked out great! Some rooms were a little bit small for the event, but that's not the hotel's fault. My only complaint was that when I had dinner at the hotel restaurant, the service was really slow. I would've understood if it had been packed with convention goers, but it was maybe half full. It took a long time for the server to take my order and then a fairly long time for both the wine and the food to arrive. The check didn't take too long, but it still seemed longer than usual. Fortunately I wasn't in much of a rush at the time, but if I had been, I would have been very annoyed.

The hotel needs some love. It looks fine, until you look closer. Everything is run down, outdated, and dirty. Two different staff members replaced room keys without even asking to confirm my name — anyone can go to the desk and get a key to a room.

My wife and I had a pleasant stay at this hotel but we were not overly wowed with the experience. Rooms and decor felt dated, albiet clean. Staff was a mix of friendly and just doing their job types. Overall I would stay again with very little hesitation.

The hotel was nice and the room service was good. The layout and design of the lobby was beautiful. My only complaint was the lobby was nicer than the room, to the point where there was a clear break between the two. The room looked like it belonged in any old run of the mill Best Western rather than a business catering Marriot. It was clean, but looked dingy and drab. The bathroom was spacious and nice, very different from the room.

Pros: Very clean rooms, nice lobby area, friendly staff. Spacious parking spaces. Cons: However, I noticed they give the smaller rooms in the corners to guests using the US Federal Government/Military rate. No microwave and no complimentary breakfast.

Loved my stay amazing fast and friendly service. Room was clean everything worked really comfortable beds small pillows in my opinion. Bar was nice did not eat really enjoyed pool area overall great stay.

My stay was pleasant, however the service level could use some improvement. We called for coffee Friday evening as there was none in our room. We were told you had no regular at that time but, you would deliver between 630ish and 7 am. Nope never happened until we called again around 9am. Next, we ate breakfast in the dining room, our server was not so friendly as it appeared she didnt like our many specific requests i. E. Limp bacon, 2 egg omelette instead of 3 and Starbucks bold coffee, lol sounds like a lot, but people want what they want!

My mom and I were going to appointments at Emory Hospital. This was a fabulous hotel for us. Close to everything that we would need during our 2 night stay. From checking in to checking out the staff was very kind, compassionate, helpful, and professional. I would recommend this hotel! Great service! We will also be staying here!

The customer service was amazing! Everyone who worked there was super friendly and inviting. Anytime I walked by they would smile, ask how my stay was and tell me to have a good day. It was extremely warm and genuine!

An old hotel, but comfortable and clean. The lobby, restaurant, and cafè are nice, but the rest of the accommodations were just "okay. " My heat/AC unit didn't warm or cool, just blew air. They offered to move my room, but weather was temperate, and it was too much effort to move. The shower didn't drain properly, so yet another service call. Annoying. I stayed here for a week, so it wasn't just a fluke experiences. The staff was nice. But, room service cost was high given the mediocre quality and choices. I would stay here again if I absolutely had to, but I'd try elsewhere first.

The front desk staff was very professional and welcoming and worked to help with my special request of having a double room, as I was willing to wait until one was clean and available. The hotel itself is relatively well kept, though the doors to the rooms have many scuff marks and make it seem a bit dingy. The pool area was beautiful, and open for the season which is a huge plus. There is plenty of parking. The location is convenient, but with the closures on 85, getting downtown was difficult on highways, so we took city streets which were great. Some of the guests were low class as I woke up to someone talking loudly on speaker phone outside my room at 430 in the morning​, which was super annoying​.

This review is strictly about the restaurant inside the hotel in the lobby area near the front desk. Food came out cold, waitress brought us the wrong sauce after we had already eaten half our meal without it. Waitress never checked on us for anything, Had to go find someone to give us our bill. It was the worst service we've had anywhere in quite a long time. I highly recommend leaving the premises for better food and service. Don't eat at this hotel. It's a Marriott. We expected a lot more quality and we expected better service for the prices they charged us. Horrible restaurant. Horrible waitress.

Staff was nice. When we first arrived we got booked right by the elevator despite having plenty of rooms available. Room was small but satisfactory. Not really enough outlets in handy locations.

Cons: The road noise is loud on the highway side, pillows are uncomfortable, and the ac unit in my room is frozen, rattling and leaking water onto the floor, which is why I'm up writing this review instead of sleeping like I'd like to be. (To be fair, I'm a light sleeper. ) Pros: friendly staff, clean facilities, good fitness room. It would be a fine experience without the ac unit issue.

Great rooms, excellent service. However this trip I was booked on the concierge floor and had access to the lounge when I had a minute to get a bite to eat at 8 pm they didn't have any hors d'oeuvres. It was disappointing as a gold marriott rewards member. Will stay again.

Location feels a bit off the beaten path. Registration took a very long time but the staff was extremely nice. Rooms were clean and reasonably appointed. One of the first hotels I've seen put a power strip between the beds which was excellent. Restaurant and bar close way too early but the drink selection is great for a hotel.

We visit Emory twice a year and always stay here. The staff goes out of its way to exceed expectations. The rooms are always clean, well appointed and roomy. The dining room serves excellent food that we crave on our way to Atlanta!

I attended a hiring event here. The place is nice, and the staff are very polite.

The hotel service here is phenomenal. We come every year with a church group for a church event and rent out the entire hotel. The hotel staff are always very accommodating and make the experience very personal even though it is a large event. The hotel is located in a rural area offering easy access to hotspots in downtown Atlanta. The shape of the building is triangular which is unique and keeps the atmosphere of the trip social and warming. The rooms are an adequate size and have nice bathrooms and tvs. I would definitely recommend staying here!

Staff is extremely nice and helpful, but the hotel is becoming dated (bathrooms can be gross) and room service makes the average food absolutely terrible since it's consistently delivered 45 mins after being cooked.

This is one or the best Marriott my families and I always stay when we visit Hot Lanta :-) :-) The food and staff is excellent! Chef Larry Jenkins is very professional, and very, very nice to everyone :-) :-) I always recommend this hotel to everyone! Love the Summer time with the outside pool.

I stayed at this Marriott property this past weekend (October 3rd-5th) and I have to say I was very impressed with the staff. The staff is the reason why I give this hotel the rating that I did. This place is extremely hard to find, and it really isn't convenient to any stores or attraction, but that doesn't matter because they have a shuttle. The gentleman who drive the shuttle are the nicest people EVER! Let this hotel know where you want to go and they will take you. The front desk clerks are VERY professional and respectful as well. I asked for a robe, (which I didn't know was for the concierge level only), and they were still nice enough to bring me a rob just to make me happy. The rest rooms are a little small, but who cares it was VERY clean, so I could care less about size. This place was a little plain to me, but that's nothing against this hotel, I stayed here just to write a review about it. Overall, out of 10 I give this place an 8. Its got a nice restaurant (with good prices (low) I shall say with AMAZING food). They got free internet computers and on top of that this place is extremely quiet, so if you trying to get away from the craziness of a long day. And need some time to unwind alone, try this place, you'll get all the quiet you need. P. S. Ask for a rob, its free.

I wouldn't recommend that you stay here. The worst experience I have ever had mostly with the front desk clerk Halle Guiron and then after she inconvenience us she places in a room with no air. Will not stay at this property again after such poor treatment.

Arrived bone tired after a day of apartment hunting. Desk clerk (failed to get his name) was wonderful. He was very pleasant. I asked if there was an Italian restaurant nearby. He provided a printed list of several types of restaurants with directions there and back. He recommended a place to me that was wonderful! upon returning to the hotel, my room key would not open the door. Security was summoned and arrived in a couple of minutes. He worked to try to open the door and was not successful. He called maintenance. Before Maintenance could arrive, he tried pulling up on the handle and the door magically opened! He offered to have me moved, but since the door would work, I chose to stay put. The room is very large and beautifully appointed. The lobby with a 2 story waterfall is beautiful. I will stay here again.

Clean and comfortable. But the important thing is that we slept well. Yes, there is a refrigerator and coffee maker in every room. Note: The hair dryer is there. It's in the closet. Outdoor pool, good exercise room, no hot tub. Staff friendly and accommodating. Floor snacks and beverages are very limited. They have more in the lobby, but no frozen desserts. QuickTrip and McDonalds are less than a 1/2 mile away. Very good rates are available, but you need to add $10 for internet unless you are willing to use it in the lobby. They have a couple of computers for guest use and free Wi-Fi in the lobby. The elevators are fast. Ask, and you'll get a luggage cart you can use by yourself. It won't pass through the revolving door. Use the doors on either side. Please return it quickly so someone else will have one. No microwave nor safe in the room. No free coffee and cookies in the lobby. Starbucks is right there near the front desk. We didn't check out the restaurant.

Stayed during a busy Labor Day weekend in ATL. Great ascetics, hotel bar, and restaurant. Room was comfortable, modern, and clean but did not have blow dryer or refrigerator. Shower water was cold at 9AM on a Saturday. Lobby ATM is wireless and had issue connecting. Charged me twice for withdrawal when only one went through and actually dispensed money. Friendly staff. Convenient free shuttle to MARTA station for straight 20-25 minute ride into downtown at ~$6.00 per/person round trip.
