I would give it a 0 star if I could. Upon checkin, they “accidentally” made a copy of my debit card instead of my ID and then kept the copy of my debit card. They wiped our room keys on our second day there. We were never told about construction in the hotel — loose wires hanging from the ceiling, fire alarms going off while we’re in the elevator, and loud banging noises. My brothers room door was left open by housekeeping, instead of new towels our old ones (that came stained) were just rehung. There was a constant smell of weed in the parking lot, probably due to the strip club across the street. Which coincidentally, everyone who doesn’t want to pay for valet at the Pink Pony just came and parked in the parking lot so the paying customers couldn’t park. The sheriff that stays there overnight didn’t care at all, reassuring me that “the parking lot was only paying customers” and but then admitted that it was probably Pink Pony customers. There was a homeless man sleeping on the steps. We didn’t dare try the breakfast. The room was literally the size of a queen bed plus about 18 inches on either side. The best part was the front desks shady behavior in not wanting to give me a receipt upon checkout. Absolutely would never stay here and I will be watching my bank account closely to make sure my account wasn’t compromised.

Not an enjoyable experience. Our room was always hot, and the ac was as low as it could go. The shower didn't get hot one bit, just slightly warm. The beds were hard as a rock. No microwave or coffee maker in the room. The complementary breakfast was cheap. They had cereal, apples, and a waffle maker. No eggs or meat. I'd avoid this place.

We were very pleased with our stay here! We stayed a total of 3 nights. The room was a decent size and was pleased to find a refrigerator in the room. It had just been updated and was very clean and looked great! The staff were extremely nice and friendly. I would definitely stay there again! The location was perfect for our activities with the City Pass.

I have several years using Microtel and I can still using for the rest of my life. They very cleans professionals new remodeling is Macy is great very comfortable, I love the personal of this place and also make a comment about Angela at nights first she is Macy she is so professional she is great, she is the number 1 customer services and I love to make my reservations and use the hotel and Angela's help for long time.

After taking a scary elevator ride (it smacks the bottom, see other reviews) we walked through pretty rough looking hallways, opened the door to non smoking room 222, and was smacked by the aroma of smoke. The room was more outdated than advertised, and was dirty. Just dirty. While checking around with a normal hotel inspection, my girlfriend found a pentagram in our drawer and writing in the closet. There were stains on the floor and splatters of something on the wall. We immediately asked for a new room. After being “double upgraded”, we received another room that smelled just as bad and after finding trash in the cupboards and freezer we knew they weren’t really cleaning the rooms. The breakfast was typical, the waffle batter was a bit stale and made tough waffles. On the second day, everything was put out but there was no power to any of the appliances and we were ultimately told it couldn’t be helped. Over our three night stay we never received new towels for the shower. Research the neighborhood before visiting, it is clustered between several strip bars. Sex from neighboring rooms is about as loud as you’d expect knowing that. The safety lock on the new room was busted.

The check-in and check-out processes were smooth. The queen non-smoking room was clean and overall well maintained with a comfortable bed and fresh, clean bedspread. The room had most of the other essentials like a mini-fridge, a coffeemaker, a study desk and a TV with basic cable. The bathroom condition, however, left a lot to be desired. The sink and toilet were not in the best of conditions. The sink had a little bit of water clogging problem as well which needed some careful maneuvering to avoid. While the sink had hot running water, the shower tap had a very light lukewarm water at best and this was a major drawback for us. We brought it to the attention of the front desk, but it was quite clear that it wasn't a problem that could be fixed overnight. The Wi-Fi connection was mostly dysfunctional. Another minor nuisance was the key card which would easily get reset if it's brought near a mobile phone. Out of my several different experiences at hotels before, this was a completely new one to me. While it was understandable, but seemed to be a problem from a different era. The breakfast was the usual fare of cereals, waffles and defrosted items. The hotel was undergoing major renovations. This wasn't a hindrance or nuisance in terms of noise or dirt, at least in the evening and early morning, as the work was happening on the second floor which was entirely cordoned off.

Hotel is good and serves the budgetary purpose well but the new deposit policy is kinda crazy. You get billed for your night, then technically double billed for the night plus 50.00 that gets returned three to five days later depending on the bank. Might as well spend the money at a 5 star then.

The room was dated and worn looking. Hallways smelled like weed. Shower only had luke warm water. They are currently remodeling and a lot of construction noise started by 8am. The free Wi-Fi was easy to connect to and fast.

Free breakfast was fine. Standard waffles, muffins, bagels, juice and coffee. There's a strip club across the street that gets great business, and is very loud, but there are no restaurants within walking distance. Nothing family friendly at all. The tiny parking lot is tight and oddly situated. The room was clean enough, and if you use earplugs to block out traffic, club music, and door slamming noise, you can get a decent night's sleep. It looks to be still under renovation, so I can sort of forgive the very nasty carpet and dirty, chipped and crumbling walls inside. The bathroom in my room was nice, but the tub didn't drain well. The staff was polite. Oddly, the microwave and fridge were in the closet, but both worked fine.

The hotel staff was very friendly and made the stay very pleasant. They were very helpful. However, the Wi-Fi was bad, but that was due to the fact that they were currently undergoing changes. But all in all the hotel was pleasant.

Stayed for 3 nights. Clean sheets, good cleaning between nights. The walls are thin and it's a little rough around the edges. I guess they're doing some construction to improve the look. Ok breakfast with waffel maker.

Terrible experience. Best if the new ownership replace or move the staff. The place has potential but the renovation won't meen a thing with out an attitude and change.

Please don’t have high expectations when you are booking a room here. If you’re looking for a cheap room close to Atlanta and Lenox area, I would recommend it. First the good; my bed is comfortable. The location is decent. The shower and bathroom were clean. And it has the essentials, just barely. The bad; TV and remote are dirty. Has roaches. No microwave. AC doesn't work. Far too expensive for the quality. I've stayed in bigger and nicer hotels for half the price.

Didn't sleep a wink. The noise from the Pink Pony across the road is unbearable. Shoddy run down little hole. The staff are nice and the breakfast wasn't bad.

My instinct said ‘Don’t stay here’. I should have listened. I was very tired so I checked in. I had stayed at a very nice and comfortable Microtel Inn in Knoxville, TN so I assumed a similar experience. Not so! First, the rooms were very disappointing! It took three rooms before I finally got a room I could stay. The first room had a major, noisy link in the bathtub. There’s no way this room should have been rented. You would assume this maintenance problem would have been so major the room would not be offered at all until it was repaired. So, on to the next room. This was beyond unacceptable. As a single woman traveling alone I would never expect to receive a room with no lock on the door! No lock. A hole where the deadbolt should be. This door could be opened with one finger. Amazing. Not to mention the carpet right at the entry door was ripped back exposing the bare concrete! Really? Next room was offered to me as an upgrade. At this point being as tired as I was I didn’t care about that all I wanted was a clean room with a bed. This upgrade room had a small kitchen area. Ok fine. However, immediately upon opening the door the smell of fish was overwhelming. Really? Now this is getting so amazing I’ve got to follow through with this adventure. On to the forth room! Fine. I throw my thinks down finally have a nice shower and I’m ready for a nice sleep. If you’re interested in sleeping don’t stay here.

Its okay. I mean it is a microcell In ATL. Can hear people screaming having (good) sex. Really rude staff. Sketchy people. But hey. If you avoid those things, the rooms are spacious. Big comfy beds. Once you're in your room it's pretty quiet. They have a good selection of yummy things for breakfast, & a popcorn machine for evenings. Not so bad if you're an adult who minds there own business & avoid the rude ass staff.

Nice place to stay, we are doing a road trip with our two dogs, room was clean and quite. We spent one night and got back on the road, no complaints, overall a nice stay.

It is a place to sleep, sort of. Noisy neighborhood. Instant coffee, small cold danishes or cold cereal are the highlights of the Continental breakfast. The room was clean and looked recently remodeled. The building is going through remodel. For the pet owners, it is pet friendly. The designated pet walk is a 10x10 patch at the side of the side of the building that was apparently nasty enough that after a sniff my dog wouldn't go near. Grass patches in this business neighborhood are hard to find so be ready for a long walk.

Granted there are signs posted saying they are remodeling. I think it was to hide that it needs work. The elevator smelled like weed. The room did not have a TV in it but had a remote for one. That was amusing. The only thing good was the price.

I stayed here for one night & I will definitely come again the front desk staff made me feel welcome as soon as I came through the front door with a big smile along with those beautiful eyes of hers, my room was very clean Wi-Fi worked fine everything was awesome.

I don't want to even give one star. The place is filthy. The first room they gave us, a cockroach ran up the wall when we flipped on the light. Second room seemed better but we eventually saw one there too. It smells bad everywhere. Across the street from strip clubs and it's just a very shady neighborhood. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra few bucks for almost any other place available. Editing to add the mold around the windows.

Stayed here with a friend in April 2017. Rooms were GROSS. Cleaning women gave us dirty looks in the morning. And there was loud music until 4AM both nights we were there. Concierge was ok and breakfast was… You get what you pay for. Parking was fine and hotel was easy to find. Overall the hotel needs a full remodel.

Our stay was fine. Nothibg more than what I expected for the price. Rooms could be updated but also again this is also playing apart in price. Free Breakfast was awesome!. We will stay here again. Prime location to all the things we liked to do.

Horrible horrible horrible hotel! It’s absolutely disgusting! Holes in the wall, yellow curtains that we’re supposed to be white, STRONG weed smell in elevators! Filthy! Front desk RUDE! I would not wish this place on an enemy! Filthy hallways! Someone else’s hair in the bed, stains on the sheets!

We have stayed at this hotel for the past six months, every other week, staying a week at a time. Rooms are very clean, the staff is EXCELLENT and always make us feel at home. We would stay here again at any time and would recommend it to anyone. Convenient to several locations for shopping, tourism or work related.

I can't say enough about the staff at this location they are just wonderful! They are going to a renovation right now so be prepared for that inconvenience other than that I would recommend them.

It's in a good location, easy to get to on public transportation and within walking distance of restaurants. If one needs to wash clothes there's a laundry mat next door.

Police state with officers on patrol at all hours of the night watching your every move. Roaches galore throughout the property. Toilets clogged, incompetent management double charging credit cards, and water turned off at random intervals throughout the morning. Prostitutes cruisin the parking lot from the strip club next door. I'm sure you can get a room by the hour if you're so inclined. Enjoy your stay in Atlanta!

The cleanliness is lousy, it's ugly horrible I don't recommend this hotel at all.

No real complaint visited a friend that was in town. Good economical choice. Nothing wow. But nothing to complain about as well.

Hi my name is Jovonna Smith I stayed at the Microtel for 1 week and we had a great stay in the Microtel 1840 Corporate but I'm from Houston and we had a hurricane and the great staff came together and gave us a free extra day to stay they really helped us when we was in need I pray we can leave Atlanta soon to go back to Houston but while I'm here Robbie the manager and his staff keeping us safe thank god Thanks Robbie.

I chose this hotel solely because it was close to my work place and didnt check any reviews before I booked. This is my experience. In the past I used all ranges of hotels from 5* to no star hotels and will never recommend this one! They have the worst customer service to begin with, full of attitude and even dont talk to you properly. I chose a non smoking room but the room smells bad and never clean for its price. You can see people smoking opening the windows and u rarely escape the dirty smell. Stay away from this place.

The place stinks and its runned down. The rooms are small and only good for a very short stay. The only reason that I gave it 1 star was because the front desk rep was really pleasant. My room was pre-paid and nonrefundable — otherwise, I would have left as soon as walked in my room.

Horrible! For the most part my sister got ate up by bed bugs! Disgusting the toilet got backed up I asked for someone to come unstop it the front desk told me I had to wait until housekeeping got there or I can do it myself! REALLY! People across the hall was run and yelling cursing at each other the breakfast was horrible! Not what the website shows AT ALL! THE rates on the sign is not what u pay they advertised for $59 a night and charge u $79 a night! The elevator smelled horrible! I checked in last week and they charged my card TWICE and the clerk WITH THE ATTITUDE SAYS SHE CANT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT! I WOULD NEVER IN MY LIFE RETURN TO THIS HOTEL! SOMEONE NEEDS TO SHUT IT DOWN.

The receptionist were all fine.
They did everything for us to get reasonable price on our rooms. Under the family emergency medical at Emory University where we were and still have family there. So they were nice and friendly. But Not Wyndham quality at all. Carpets not clean. The housekeeping needs training. In cleaning and showing human kindness.
Oh… We had adjoining rooms.
One room missing coffee pot.
One room missing iron. We shared. Never enough towels
Wash cloths or hand towels keft in room. Beds never remade last couple days. Just needs improvement.

My room was dank and smelled old and moldy; Wi-Fi wasn't available; dead bugs we're on the ceiling; no plate in the microwave so anything in it might burn; pubic hair visible in towels; no iron available; and when I attempted to call the front desk to report these issues or to request another room, the phone didn't work! This place is also near about 3 strip clubs. While this doesn't necessarily mean the hotel itself is a "dangerous" place, women would be wise to remain vigilant of their surroundings. The good news is there is a police officer (not security guard) who is very visible at the front desk. The gentleman who checked me in was also patient and kind and professional. Other than that, this place is terrible. If you do decide to stay here, bring a bottle of Lysol disinfectant, your own soap and towels, and a can do attitude. You're gonna need it.

My partner and I checked in the bed was very nicely made… The room was nice but stunk of smoke our air conditioning didn't work called the front desk they were nice then the maintenance woman comes up and is ignorant and disrespectful … We were transferred to a new room and the bed was tiny we paid the same price he refused to lower it and on top of that the walls leak specially under the lights and the shower doesn't drain and it reads of pee white stains resembling cum all around the bed side and roaches dead and crawling last minute stay but one thing it has taught me is to definetly learn never to pay before you see the room like wow they need their lisence revoked.

Stayed here twice, both good experiences. You get what you pay for, make sure when you book you are getting a non-smoking room. Those are the nicer ones, also this hotel allows dogs, which is good for those traveling with pets. The location is not ideal for families, it's next door to a strip club and a loud latin bar/club. Other than that, room was clean, staff was pleasant enough, and overall experience was positive.

Checked in 215. Charged my card three times instead of two so had to wait overnight for a refunded charge. Whole second floor smells like weed and whole first floor smells like cigarettes. Card key for door chooses when it wants to work. Carpet in room has this old wet smell when you leave the air off that takes over the whole room. No iron when we checked in, had to go to the front desk for one. Only one elevator and it moves. Slowly and its small. You have people who constantly sit in the lobby, not sure whether they are even staying here or not so it looks like loitering. The TV remote is broken, can't change channels using the channel button, have to press each number and being that there's no TV channel guide you have to basically guess what you want to watch until you find something. Wifi is available but slow and limited access to laptops plus there's no password. Rust in the vent of the ac unit. The beds were comfortable and the location is great, parking was fine, that's about all the positives I saw. Overall this place costs too much for what you get from it. Might as well be a motel. This will be my last stay here. Hope this helps!

Rooms: 103 & 302 Check In: 5/19/16 Customer Service: When I checked into the hotel on Thursday night the "night auditor" black make no name tag was very professional and pleasant. He engaged in a conversation with us about our visit and stay at the hotel. So much kudos to the nice auditor. I must say the daytime crew is very unprofessional in some of the rudest people I've ever met in my entire life. Due to the lack of professionalism the stay was very uncomfortable and unpleasant. The front desk representative by the name of "Lateesha" she is a short female with braids in was the rudest of them all. She cursed me out multiple times, stated she was trying to be nice in didn't want to get ugly with me. The guest services manager "Tanisha Branch" was horrible I cant believe they have a person like that in a leadership role. She does not lead a team by example or set the tone as a manager of a business. Due to the lack of leadership on her end I totally understand why the employees act the way they do. My Complaint: I was so disappointed at the level of service me and my peer received during our business stay at 1840 Corprate Blvd, Atlanta GA. My complaint started around 11:30 AM on Saturday, May 20, 2016. When I woke up to a bed full of bugs my body was bit up from the ants that were all in the bed under the sheets. Lateesha sent several housekeepers down to 103 to look in they verified there were ants and bugs in the bed nothing was still done.

It was a really nice room for the price. The noise from the strip club could be hearD but wasnt anything that kept me awake.

The Wifi wasn't working propley didn't keep a steady connection.

The house keeper was rude as hell. Front desk told us we had an extended check out, then the house keeper came and said we had 10 minutes to get out. After calling the front desk she acted like she had amnesia. Really sketchy place, toilet didn't work at all, bathroom was dirty. Never staying at any other Microtel!

When u walk in to the elevators is smelt like majauna and there was a bunch of people making noise. Very little parking. Prices meet criteria based of location is next to a strip club and bar.

Customer service was horrible by the management Tanshia she was very rude and hung up the phone on me when I called to resolve an issue. She advised me that this hotel doesn't care about the customers needs and she will not honor any customers request. Worst stay ever!

Stay away tub didn't work the room smells mildewy, roaches, rooms are small, carpets are old, I couldnt sleep, pillows are uncomfortable, real shady people coming in and out, also strip clubs and little Mexico.

Well the room looked like it was clean when I first got in here, until like an hour or two later I turned over in bed and saw a roach crawling on the counter. Front desk asked me if I wanted $15 back or some spray?!?! I'm very disgusted. Housekeeping very trashy and rude. It took them forever to bring me back clean towels. Don't come here ever pay the extra money for a better hotel.

Too loud, doors slamming all hours of the day and night, house keeping entering your room without knocking and announcing them selfs, they were not friendly at all. They only good part is the front desk staff was great.

It was nice for the first 2 min till I smelled a weed festival. Even tho the Mexican club was tunt to the max next door and I couldn't sleep like hell. They will work deals with u but the over all is very shitty. I wont come back.

STAY AWAY! First lets start with booking my room. I stayed at this hotel from 12/3/2012-12/18/2012, the booking went ok, I spoke with Meredith who was very helpful and friendly. I ended up stayin on the 2nd floor of the hotel which seemed to always smell of weed! They were doin construction also on the 2 rooms across from me so the smell from whatever chemical they were using also filled the air during most of my stay. I had to put a credit card on file for my stay at this hotel which was a HUGE mistake! DO NOT USE A CREDIT CARD HERE! I was quoted that my stay at this hotel would run me about $760 give or take a few bucks. Each day there appeared a new charge on my card for weird prices, for example, $11.75, $42.84, $26.74, $50.35 x2 and so on. Each time I would see a weird charge on my card I would immediately go to the front desk to ask someone what the charge was. And each time NOBODY could tell me what it was for. They would simply respond that they had to ask their auditor and would get back to me which they NEVER did. So check out time comes and still I hear nothing about these charges, and since then more charges appeared on my card. I ask the lady at the front desk who was a MANAGER and she responded the same as the others did, that she would have to ask their auditor and would call me since I was leaving that day, and yet again I hear nothing and nobody is returning my phone calls from that hotel.

I found this motel to be pretty decent! The room was very clean, and the bed was comfortable. The staff was very courteous. I will stay here again.

Rooms are too small. Service is very good. Good breakfast every morning. Coffee 24 hours a day. A strip club right next door so it probably be a good place for people who are here for fun otherwise I won't recommend it.

At about 4:00am our “neighbors” (two couples in one room) came in and proceeded to talk loudly, interspersed with loud giggling and generally noisy. A call to the front desk got the motel officer to ask them to be quiet, which lasted about a minute. At 7:00am they began the humpy bumpy. One couple in the bed and the other in the bathroom. I know where they were and what they were doing because I could hear every moan and squeal through the paper thin walls. Now it’s about 7:30am, time to get up anyway. Ants in the sink. Exhaust fan not working, well this is typical for most motel rooms. Mold in the shower. The shower head is broken and sprays water all over the bathroom. On to breakfast, if you want to call it that. I don’t drink coffee so I can’t comment on that, I bring my own tea. There are some packaged muffins and danish, two types of cereal in little boxes, a bowl of sad looking fruit and orange juice. This is not what I was expecting. There was no place to sit as the breakfast area is just part of the lobby. Three tables, a few chairs and lots of motel guests crowding around. Atlanta was having some terrible weather and freezing at the time but I don’t think this had anything to do with the issues at the motel. They did discount my room $15 for the problems, I would rather have the sleep. Do yourself a favor and stay some place else.

This has been the worst hotel by far that I have ever stayed in. 1. Room was not clean when we checked in. 2. Staff was rude, with no concern to you the guest 3. Housekeeping failed to clean room 3 days in a row, even when they did they would not make either bed's due to a teddy bear on one bed. 4. Location is terrible, loud mexican bars and strip clubs all around you. 5. Out dated tv's 6. Terrible water pressure 7. Stained fabric Overall it was just dreadful, I am suprised to see the place is even allowed to operate the way it does. I could go on forever, just pay the extra 20 bucks a night so you dont ever have to be in the position I was.
