Only negative as of today, no lounge chairs by the pool, not even patio chairs, so there's no sitting near the pool to relax awhile!
We went for a girls shopping getaway trip so we were hoping to use the pool facilities, We even called down to the Marriott down the street to see if we could use their pool, they said they had lounge chairs around their pool, but that we couldn't use it. 
Pretty disappointed.

The hotel is great. The bar sucks. Took forever to get a drink. One bartender over worked. He couldn't manage all the customers. Ordered a bottle of the prisoner that costs $38 on the street because I couldn't get a wine menu. And didn't think he'd ever get back to me. Gave him my card without getting the bill. Turns out they charged me $140 for the bottle of wine. That's rape! just bought the same bottle at maggiano's for $64. Won't go to that bar again.

I was there for an event, and they have the best customer service.

I just got off the phone with a JW Marriott Atlanta Buckhead representative. This person was very professional and there is no major complaint there, except that he informed me that it would take 7-10 days to look into this. My complaint is that this is the second time that I have been charged for a room that I cancelled there this year. The first time, I didn’t notice it on my credit card until about 2 months later, thanks to auto pay. Although, I had cancelled and had the cancellation numbers, I was so busy, I just let it slide. Once I saw though that this had happened again within a 9 month span, I knew something was up. Obviously, this is a deceptive technique that they use hoping that people do not pay close attention to their credit cards. Today I requested both stays be refunded. I will not be complicit in this despicable practice. Consumers Be Aware and do not book a stay at the JW Marriott Buckhead!

Improve staff, enforce procedure/standards, hire security, and reclaim what used to be a nice place. Staff are now hustlers, blatantly trying to con guests, and pot smoke is guaranteed to be present at all corners of the hotel. This hotel has become a Super 8 since the last time I stayed here, very disappointing.

The entire staff was so warm, welcoming, attentive, and thoughtful! The accommodations were comfortable and very clean, and they have yummy flavored water waiting for you. Finally, their driving team is unmatched with their service and care!

Great hotel. I particularly love the valet service here and you can’t beat the convenience of it being connected to Lenox Mall for shopping weekends in Atlanta!

Ok. Now that it’s the END of my stay I can answer this rating. The best part of this hotel is its employees. You hired well. Concierge, valet, front desk, room service, bar staff, and cleaning lady were awesome! The ladies that took care of the executive lounge were also great. They all deserve a raise. We have stayed at other JW’s and we can’t say that this one met our standards. The room’s amenities were not that of what we are use to at a JW with having things li…ke Q-tips & other extras. There was a refrigerator but not a microwave. The bed, however, was heaven. Gym — someone needs to fix the cardio machines especially the ellipticals. Out of 4, only one was decent enough to use. They all turn on but you need to actually use them to understand what’s wrong with them. Footing is off on 2 and one makes noise. Channels on TV were very limited as well in the gym. For this type of hotel we thought for sure there would be an outdoor pool. Showers in bathroom are outdated & small shower. We were given an “upgrade” but we found it not to be. Small window view way in an awkward corner of the bedroom & all we could see was the top of the garage parking. Odd shaped room that made us feel we were just shoved in a corner. Parking fee is excessive. Will we stay there again? Although we loved your employees we weren’t crazy about the hotel itself so no we will not. But of course we will stay at a Marriott.

I stayed at the J W Marriott during our daughters wedding. Jonathan Klein October 18-22. Room 1112 The construction noise was horrible. We were not informed about construction until 6 days prior to check in. Not enough time to book elsewhere. Your company did not try to make things right. To top off our experience I left a pair of pearl earrings in our room and now you want to charge us to return them. I will continue to media bash you until you make things right. My sister in law is a gold member of your hotel and is not happy either.

Nice rooms, great fitness area… far beyond the usual hotel offerings. But the staff are exceptional! Mr. Paul Martinez at the valet stand keeps them all hoping in a positive way. Hannah at the evening concierge treats all her guests like family. This is the ONLY place I stay in Atlanta after discovering them.

Very professional staff who was willing to help anytime. It was in a real nice area for travel, etc. The only downside I have is that the TV in our room kept going to a green monitor… I’ll definitely recommend and probably be back as well…

Overall sub par stay in what seemed to be a great hotel from the outside and the reviews online. My main concern was some of the service — random employee pacing back and forth in the gym area, over and over, some issues with check-in where I felt like the hotel should've stepped up and accommodated me because I work for one of the biggest companies in Atlanta, and the simple fact that the room was just not four star quality. The only real bright side was Thomas at the bar (great guy), the breakfast buffet, and the room service seemed to be quick. Food was great here, too. Oh, and I was awaken at 3AM by an alarm one night that was false, with shouting over some intercom that was linked to my room. Was the weirdest thing I have ever experienced in a hotel. But very overrated place in terms of price and overall value.

Gorgeous hotel with generously sized rooms. My husband and I stayed with our toddler and infant. The hotel provided a pack n play on request and even had a “baby” toiletry kit delivered. Refrigerator in room. Also an amazing Buckhead location, right next to the Lenox Mall. No shortage of things to do or places to eat in this area. Highly recommended and will stay here again.

Signature Level of Excellence The JW Marriott Signature is more than just a name it’s a level of excellence. My two sons’ and I love this hotel; it is our favorite 5star hotel in America. This is the only hotel, were you don’t have to pack a suitcase. Because the JW Marriott of Atlanta is next door to Lenox Square Mall in Buckhead. This state of the arts hotel has complimentary toiletries and tooth brushes. We always get new pajamas and slippers at Macy’s to wear to sleep. And we always get one or two outfits to wear from Macy’s the next day. My two son’s also get a pair of shoes from Nike store or Footlocker. (no suitcase required) The concierge services have the best snack and drinks in the evenings. Most of all the room service is 24 hours, and the indoor pool is always clean. The JW Marriott signature of excellence, has always provided me with the best king suites. I don’t even; have to wear socks to use the bathroom because my hotel suite is always spotless.

We stayed with our three kids. The facilities and amenities were great. It was easy to get to, and attached to a mall, so we were able to walk to dinner. The indoor pool was huge and great for our kids to get some energy out after a day of driving in the car. The only downside was all their two-bed rooms were doubles. We were a bit uncomfortable fitting all 5 of us for a comfortable night's sleep. Otherwise, we were very pleased!

Not the JW Marriott level I'm used to. Rooms are small, smelled like a 2 star, and service staff lacked professionalism. The indoor pool/gym are great, and we'll kept. Parking is $32 for self. Probably pick somewhere else in Buckhead.

The old lady is showing her wear. Rooms are a bit tired, towels thin, and HVAC has that old musty smell. For a 40 year old hotel it still is a great place to stay and a very good location. Marriott should spend some cash to update the rooms and bring this place back to life.

Per usual, the staff at JW is always top notch. Location is great for the center of Buckhead. The only ding is that the place is a little dated. It seems to need a little refresh.

The hotel is very tastefully decorated and pleasant to spend time at. Staff at the front desk are professional, helpful and kind. Rooms are adequately sized and beds are comfortable. Hotel is conveniently located across the street from the Gold Line train (Marta) which you can ride from the airport to the hotel for only $2.50. Event catering is excellent. Food is excellent, better quality than pub food. Starbucks on site is very handy.

I attended a jazz concert in one of the ball rooms. It was very spacious and very accommodating. Will definitely be back.

Beautiful hotel, lovely clean room, nice dinner, very clean gym, gym/pool bathroom was tidy and eye catching. Unfriendly/Unobservant staff. Felt as if I was not "worthy" I'd give the staff a 3 out of 10. The pool and spa looked beautiful until the amount of chlorine in pool/spa burned everyone's eyes and made my son sick. It was not clean and we all ended up going to the doctors. I would suggest not going to the pool/spa and don't expect a super warm welcome or friendly customer service from the staff.

Room was clean, staff very friendly. My shower drain however was clogged and drained slowly. But it didn't bother me much. Otherwise great stay.

This is by far my favorite hotel. It is in a great location and the staff are the best around. Excellent dining and shopping options all around. It's also attached to the mall which makes it easy to walk around even in inclement weather.

Super helpful and friendly staff! I was there for a medical conference and am handicapped. They were wonderful and the being accommodating without assuming I was helpless or un able. Didn't draw attention to me but also not afraid to directly ask what help I needed or about my disease. It's a great location and the rooms are classic and beautiful. Very clean! I wish our conference was there every year!

I attended a New Year's Eve party at this hotel. The venue was very classy and nice, however… There were a few issues. There were no attendants in the ladies restroom so it got pretty filthy and pretty crazy as far as lines, etc. The valet service was a disaster. It was taking people an hour or two to get their vehicles when trying to leave.

It's nice that it's close to Marta and connected to the mall but the layout of the corner rooms is weird, it looks and feels old, and the fitness center appears to have been an afterthought. That being said, the staff are great.

I am staying at the JW Marriott Atlanta Buckhead for a meeting and I️ am vegan. I️ asked for a vegan meal option… They showed this meal no love whatsoever — no olive oil, no sauce… It literally looks like they threw something in a bowl just to say they provided me an option. You should see how amazing the other food items look! And to give me a plate of dry veggies? We are surrounded by great vegan food options in this area, so I find it highly unlikely that the chef is not familiar with vegan cuisine. It’s clear that they just didn’t care.

I had an excellent experience at this hotel! I stayed there for my birthday and upon learning that it was my birthday the staff immediately searched to see if there were any upgrades they could give me for the occasion. Unfortunately, because a wedding party had booked the same weekend there were no upgrades available but later that night when I returned to my room from dinner (which they provided a complimentary car service to and from! ) they'd left a bottle of champagne, a nice fruit and cheese board and a birthday card signed by the staff and manager for me. Such a thoughtful touch. The bar makes a delicious mojito, the restaurant makes a beautiful creme brulee and I was even given a complimentary late check out the next morning "just because". I can't sing the staff's praises enough!

Comfortable, high end, with a friendly staff willing to do whatever you need to keep you safe and comfortable. One of the attendants went out of his way to make sure my Lyft came to get me from the front entrance when my phone died. They also made sure to deliver coffee to my room when I had a long night of work ahead of me.

My stay could not have been more perfect. The staff was professional and friendly our concierge was Jule he was very accommodating to all my request the drinks at the bar were good and the food is completely five star. Our room view of Atlanta looked very much like a painting the skyline view was just beautiful so was the room. The real treat was the indoor pool how wonderful it was to have a swim in November ❤️

I was not here for business, so I didn't see any of the meeting venues, which seem to be the primary focus for the hotel. Having said that, we enjoyed our stay. The rooms were good for the price point, but the service was really outstanding. The people who work here were all very professional, on the ball, and friendly without being obsequious, like you would expect from a first-class hotel.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay here for our anniversary. We got a city view room and the view was awesome! The room was comfortable, the hotel was nice, and all the hotel employees we spoke with were wonderful. If you need anything during your stay go see Preston, the concierge! He's great. He and the manager at the front desk helped my husband coordinate a sweet anniversary surprise. They pulled it off perfectly, I was so impressed! I will definitely stay here again.

Great hotel, seconds away to the MARTA. Easy in and out for conferences and meetings for those using marta. Responsive staff. Slow restaurant but good food.

Decent hotel but rooms have no sound proofing. I can hear every single thing in the hallway which is unfortunate. Location is great and staff has been extremely pleasant.

The staff from the beginning to the end of the stay were exceptionally polite and amicable. The customer service in which we received while staying at the JW Marriott Atlanta Buckhead was undeniably the best we've ever experienced.

Superb service at the JW Marriott Atlanta Buckhead! It is a beautiful hotel with spacious rooms and very comfortable beds. The indoor pool is the perfect way to cool off during these hot summer days! We initially were only staying one night and ended up extending our reservation. I would definitely stay here again.

Had a date night in the city and everyone was so great! From check-in to checkout when we lost our parking ticket they took care of us. Our room was next to s room of teenage kids and after 11 they were still laughing and yelling… 1 call to the front desk and they moved our room without any questions asked. We appreciated everyone and will be back!

The JW Marriott in Buckhead is a very nice stay. It's located directly next to Lenox Square Mall, very convenient. At the front desk they offered us a free roll away bed when they saw that we were traveling in a group of 4. They were also able to give us a room on a higher floor that had a great view of Atlanta. The pool, lobby, and fitness center are all very nice.

I have stayed in some of the best hotels, but this one was by far one of the best ones. It was my honeys birthday and they went up and beyond to show us the best customer service. And yes the mall being attached to it made it a 1000% better. Will definitely be back.

Very nice hotel, staff is a pleasure. Connected to the mall so lots of shopping and eating options. Hotel has a restaurant and bar and 24 hour room service but have not taken advantage of them yet. Only improvement I would make is to have the guest Wi-Fi included instead of an extra charge.

I am VERY disappointed at the customer service I recieved when I called about them charging two of my credit cards the same amount for my one night stay! The front desk didn't cancel the card I used on file to reserve the room with the card I gave her when I checked in, therefore they charged me twice for 1 night stay. They told me that they would not release the hold on one of the accounts for 7 days. I'm HIGHLY upset. I talked to two clerks and they told me a manager will be calling me right back. It's been 4 hours, I don't think they plan to call back. 1 star for that.

I was only there to drop off a friend who is staying there. The hotel was VERY nice on the outside and lobby. The rooms were pretty standard looking but well maintained and nicely decorated — however for a mall that is basically attached to the most well known mall in Atlanta (Lennox Mall) I would have expected it to be fancier. I am told the gym is ok and the pool/jacuzzi/shower area is awesome! And of course you can't beat the location for convenience!

JW Marriott's location is excellent, steps away from the subway with direct access to the airport in 20 min. The facilities are clean, professional looking and well-kept. The service could use some help. Rooms are amazingly comfortable but, there is no free Wi-Fi in the rooms. The hotel is also immediately attached to a mall and so, is accessible to shopping and dining.

Just stopped in for drinks with colleagues. Nice decor, friendly valet, great bartender. Bar is lively but not overwhelming.

Coffee maker didn't work. No fan in bathroom. Lamp next to bed burnt out. Doors close extremely loud in hallways waking you up throughout the night. Only 1 elevator was running the first Morning we were there… with a large conference group in attendance. Took 5+ min to arrive on the 10th floor and then was completely full. Security guard blocked us in while trying to pull into garage, had to back out, let him out and then go back in… no apologies made by him. Staff let us walk thru glass that another guest had broken and they were just all standing around talking and didn't warn us til we were walking thru it. No fridge or microwave which is sad for a 4 star hotel to be lacking. Coffee stand in the lobby that serves Starbucks drinks served iced coffee as hot coffee poured over ice so essentially you just get a cup of watered down coffee… if they advertise Starbucks coffee and menu items, it should be the same standards. Overall, for the price, I would not return here. With such a huge selection of hotels in the area, we could have done much better. JW should have more attention to detail to keep them at the same standards of other JW's in the country.

Love this hotel. Most recently was for a business conference. Great hotel and service staff. Parking is very easy. One of 3 hotels in Buckhead that we always look to stay at. Wife loves that it's connected to Lenox. Also close to Marta if going to a bowl game. Highly recommended.

This hotel will ruin your vacation to Venice. There is a significant mold problem in the main building called "The Hotel". You'll smell it especially in the showers and bed sheets/pillows. The mold is a result of the humid, hot conditions of a Venetian summer and the fact that the hotel does not have reliable air conditioning. The whole island will lose AC at times (happened twice during our 5 night stay), and when rooms are not in use, no AC is used to maintain room temperature so rooms can be over 90F when first checking in. Portable AC units are being used because the central AC just can't handle the load. Request one of these immediately upon check in if you're brave enough to not heed this warning. Staff is overwhelmed by building issues and complaints. Check-in could take up to 2 hours due to so many people complaining. The resort looks nice, but if you're going during summer, spend your money at the St. Regis or other highly priced hotels in Venice. The JW Marriott is a real lemon.

All the staff tried their best to be helpful and were indeed helpful on several occasions. The room was large, clean, quiet. Pool large and clean as were locker rooms. I would stay here again.

Expensive everything: breakfast, water, parking $24 a night. But room and bathroom was beautiful. Couldn't sleep because it's too noisy at night, but they waved one nights parking cause of it. Room didn't have simple hotel things like a microwave or mini-fridge or shower caps.

Not that great a location, unless you want to sleep in a mall. Not a great location to experience Atlanta. For a two night stay, they charged 3 days of parking, $72. More than the posted rate in the garage. Breakfast may or may not be included with your room. If you order a night cap of expect to pay around $15 for mediocre liquor. Arrogant staff. Overall a disappointing experience.

Absolutely terrible experience with the leadership staff of this hotel. While staying at the hotel for a conference, we had a camera stolen from our room. Come to find out, the door lock was not retracting completely and anyone could have waltzed into and had access to our valuables. The loss prevention officer witnessed the malfunction, yet neglected to put that into his report. Now, the claims department and hotel management says that it was reported the door is in proper working order and not malfunctioning… It took 2 months to get to even get a call from the hotel and now I am told I was mistaken. Ridiculous. Will never stay at a Marriott again.

This is one of the best hotel you can imagine, great staff, super amenities. It should be first choice.

This property is really nice. I can say the room was very nice and clean. The staff really did an amazing job by making sure they were friendly and really showering my guest the entire time we stayed. I would definitely come again to this property.

This hotel is in a great location, right next to the mall. It was nice and clean inside. I don't like having to pay for parking, especially with the huge mall parking lot right next door. The room was small, but it was nice.

My wife and I stayed here for our wedding night. The room was clean and we had everything we needed. The customer service was amazing. I will definitely will stay here again. I did not want to leave to got to my honeymoon, that how nice the hotel was. Thank you to the Concierge agent for providing me with all that I asked for to surprise my wife. My family and I (Me, Husband, Mother and 2 teenage children) rented 2 rooms here from the 10th of July till the 13th. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the JW Marriot! The accommodations were simply fabulous. We particularly enjoyed the fruited water in the Lobby, the property was in very good condition, clean and modern. Indeed it was the service that took this property to the next level. Bruce in concierge consistently went over and above the call of his duties with the utmost grace! Felix, the driver, Rory, also in concierge, as well as John and (I believe) Michael, also drivers, were most gracious and knowledgeable. Thank you for a fabulous stay and we surely will return here and will check out other JW Marriott properties in our travels. On another note, the Hertz agents were awful! Neither Cecilia nor the other agent followed through and we were very lucky to have Bruce to assist as he did not stop until he got us sorted! Hooray Bruce! Other than the Hertz agents, your hotel provided a delectable serving of the southern hospitality your state is known for! Warm regards, Lucia.

I am a frequent business traveler and have spent 3 nights/week here for about 1 year. The JW Marriott is one of my favorite Buckhead hotels. The manager, Michael, is FANTASTIC! He is a dream and I love seeing him every afternoon when I return. The hotel and lounge staff is friendly. I have also never experienced such as great valet service. I love the JW because of the people. I don't love the JW because of the inconsistent service and room quality as well as the horrible food.

Can't believe the negative reviews about this hotel. My wife and I were married here and we return as often as we can afford to. It is pricy sometimes but all well worth it. We've always felt like royalty when we stay here because of the attention to detail by all the staff and the impeccable customer service. Only complaint I really had was the cost of parking. Wish that was included in the price of the room. Otherwise, you can feel assured booking here will be a great experience for you and anyone you stay with.
