Manager had an "I don't care attitude" when we found pubic hairs on our supposedly clean bath towels (this was among several other complaints that we had and voiced to him). Appeared to be mold or mildew growing on the walls of our first room. And don't try and speak to anyone on staff that doesn't work in the office, they don't speak English! Cheap place to stay, but beware — you get what you pay for! Oh, and don't try to call any advertised number on their key cards — we tried to order Domino's and ended up with a store in New Orleans!

Clean hotel with very comfy beds. It is a little small, but the rooms look great. Best price for a room in town too.

After the Microtel gave our room away (after we already paid for it), we had to find another place to stay in the middle of the night. This place was great. Very nice service, comfy bed and clean bathroom.

The rooms were good for a quick overnight stay. The business here was good but the costumers sucked. Loud parties and sex was heard through most of the stay.

The rooms were clean and the rooms didnt smell. Hallway smelled strongly of cleaning chemicals but appreciated that they didnt spray them in the rooms. Struggled with constantly getting locked out, their room key and door systems did not work properly and we got locked out 4 times. Free breakfast had few options and milk was soured. Pool was clean and a good temperature for swimming. Nice lounge area for sunbathing.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! We came to this hotel after having a terrible experience with the Days Inn (Do not ever go to the Days Inn! ) The staff was amazing! The manager helped us with everything we needed, she let us look at room before we decided to stay just because of the bad experience we had with The Days Inn. The rooms were great, very well taken care of, clean, updated, the pool was nice. The breakfast was good and location was awesome, it was close enough to everything. We will definitely be staying here from now on when we return to Athens.

Had very nice rooms, with good restrooms that had a bathtub and shower head. A good parking lot, I'm sure you'll find space. Served food, and it was quite nice! Had a good variety of food. Service was amazing, the workers were very nice!

Room was fine. Small, but has everything you need. Water pressure in the shower was great, so that's a plus. However, the adjoining door to the room next door had huge gaps around it. We heard EVERYTHING from the room next door. Not good when you're trying to sleep. Heard every word big their conversations. Not somewhere I'd return, due to the lack of privacy!

Nothing to brag to your friends about but it served its purpose and the customer service was better than expected. Fast check. Fast check out.

Very good service, nice rooms, staff were professional and courteous. Prices below average. People friendly as well. Wished I could have stayed longer.

The hotel is a decent hotel if you're getting away for a quick weekend. Keep your expectations in line with the price however. The staff was super friendly though and helpful. It's easy to see from the road as well. The room looks like it was renovated but I wouldn't say it is exactly glamorous.

Don’t let the price fool you, it’s a nice place. Renovated non smoking rooms and about to renovate smoking rooms. Dorm style inside hallway rooms and big glass door to give you a setting area outside. Really nice king room and bed is very comfortable.

It's pretty cheap and my friend liked it. I was just picking him up but he thinks it was good.

The rooms here are comfy and cheap. The continental breakfast is bigger than you'd think. It is about 2 1/2 miles from downtown, so do not stay here if you want to be within walking distance. I, personally, prefer to stay here and Uber/Lyft my way to downtown due to the fair pricing and friendly staff.

We had to stop here to sleep for a few hours while on our way home from holiday traveling. We got an end room at a reasonable rate. The bed was comfortable and the pillows were soft. The man (William) at the front desk was very polite and answered all our questions. I would recommend staying here on your way through Athens.

Beds were awful hard and dirty. Pillows were flat. Make no mistake this is a motel not a hotel. The rooms were quite clearly circa 1973 with the only recent addition being made in the bathrooms, which were nice. I was staying here due to an error in a coworkers booking skill. The staff were nice and made it easy to get a refund for the other nights that we had booked. To end a back and forth review I wouldn't stay here unless you really had to and if that were the case you could stay here and probably be okay.

The room was great. The beds we're a little hard. And no do not disturb sign. But loved everything else.

This place is a little pricey at times but the hotel is very clean and the housekeeping though not very english diversified is very friendly and accommodating. My favorite thing about this hotel is for sure the front desk! Patricia and brittany are great at their job and know what they are doing! too cold for the pool will definately be back. Oh by the way great breakfast!

Cozy, just right, CLEAN room with a comfy bed. This short visit was exactly what we needed to rest. Awesome customer service as well!

The interior was very nice and provided a very comfortable space for someone intending to rest between doing things around Athens.

Staff is very nice. Room is clean and comfortable. Not deluxe, but wasn't expecting the Ritz. A good experience.

;~``~; Even though there was construction going on, this did not disturb my pleasant stay at this Best Western. Ms. Liz the General Manager is a wonderful host. The room was clean and the bed was super comfortable! I will stay here again. Breakfast was great! Great Price and Location!

49.95 motel for sure. Not 75 plus. they can't even use the overly high prices to offer Decent TV selections. My work has me traveling all over southeast. I have never seen such a poor selection they can't even afford 42 working chanels 1/3 chanels have no signal so in reality less than 39 work. I stayed at a different chain location at Fort Benning Georgia area recently 133 selection on TV. Perfect when job is rained out for a day or extended stay. I have just found a location in Athens GA. Than can afford decent TV selections. And national chain. Motel and less money. My month stay will be better quality than this dump.

Burns and (hopefully) bleach stains in the blankets and the beds were so loud we didn't sleep the entire night. I'm not exaggerating when I say that the beds squeak loudly from just breathing. I will update this review when/if my complaints with management are resolved.

Good, inexpensive working class place. Not full of frills… just a good place to sleep and get cleaned up at after work.

Great rooms, friendly service breakfast could have been better. Was disappointed that this hotel restricted changing the input on the television. Worth changing hotel for that reason alone…

Went to bed and woke up to a hotel guest entering my room at 12:30am. I know mistakes happen but I shouldn't have the hotel staff handing out keycard access to my room!

For a budget hotel it was pretty nice. Yes, it's older, but you should know that going in. Once you get your expectations in check, you'll see it's a nice place. Comfortable, nice people and pretty convenient.

Clean and Simple. Good value for one of the cheapest places in town. I stayed in a king room downstairs near the office. It was remodeled and had a nice modern decor. (maybe other buildings are not remodeled? ) Access to rooms is from the inside and you have to have a room key to access the hallway. The front desk staff was pleasant and accommodating. It was a quiet uneventful night, which was perfect for a business trip. Also the Mexican restaurant next door was nice.

The negative comments make no sense to me. It is a little older, but newly renovated and looks lovely. The only things I saw that some may not like was a couple of cigarette burns in the sink, but the room didn't smell of cigarettes at all. Bed was comfy, and rooms had interior doors with a sliding door to the outside, and security cameras on site.

Horrible room no heating. Worst is the people work there.

The inn is in an area where you might want to double check to make sure your car is locked and doors are dead bolted. The building looks older than the pictures you see on the web. Inside seems to be better and possibly had some modest budget renovation. There's a very rude person at the desk who keeps repeating "I am just doing my job. " Here are the list of thing went wrong: Wi-Fi doesn't work, the room was not clean, the heater blows cold air in freezing cold weather. There were several long blond hair in the bathroom belonging to previous guest, and some stains on the top cover of the bed which I do not dare to find out. To finish it all with a worst note, no hot water in the shower. Nothing wakes you up like a cold shower in the morning. I wondered how this business stay in business with such a poor level of service. I would thing the only way it could be possible is that they are praying on unsupecting travellers. This is why I want to let everyone to know what you can expect. And it looks like I am not the only one.

Ratchet. Cockroaches in the bathroom. Dirty rooms. Sketchy area. Poor stale breakfast. Do not stay.

We stopped here with a sick baby. Checked in 60 bucks, midnight. Awful awful awful. Walked into room Roach climbing wall. No conditioner available for hair. Room smells, and blankets have holes all in them. Very dissapointed with my visit. Never stay here. Go down the road and find better quality for u and your family.

I book travel for my company. It's my job. I have never had a worse experience than the one we had at this Howard Johnson. Where to begin. Well, once our employees entered the room their room had Pabst Beer cans all over from the previous guests, the fridge look liked it was bashed in, the bathroom door was completely busted, there were obscenities written on paper and placed around the room, the comforter had holes in it. And here is the kicker THE BATHROOM HAD UNFLUSHED FECES IN IT! Our employees took pictures of the room, put their bags down, went to work and notified me. I called the hotel and the staff was just as "awesome" as their cleaning staff. They accused us of placing these items in the room. I was appalled to think that our large Christian company was being accused of trying to scam a Ho Jo out of $200. I spoke with the owner Mr. Patel. He was beyond rude. He told me that he would refund the room if our employees were out in 1 hour so he could “re rent the room” before the night was over. He never said sorry. I told him that our staff was travelers from out of town and out at an event that they couldn’t leave and it wouldn't be over for another 3 hours so they couldn't vacate the room within 1 hour. He said he didn't care and that he can't afford to lose $200 because he was financially struggling. I currently have a case open with Howard Johnson Corporate and they have been very nice and helpful and sorry about the situation.
