I feel extremely misled by this hotel's pricing. I reserved a room for a set price and was given a total "inclusive of taxes and fees" however was made to pay an extra $30 per night at check in for a resort fee that was not mentioned anywhere on the website or in my confirmation emails. I spoke with the manager Tiffany and the buck was passed to "her boss" and I was told there was nothing they could do about it. This is one of the shadiest things I've experienced as a hotel guest.

The Cordova Inn was fabulous! Such a beautiful, historic hotel! I would 100% recommend!

I loved staying at The Cordova Inn. Reasonable. Simple rooms yet unique. Good customer service. A great part of town. Looking forward to staying there again. Highly recommend.

The Cordova Inn is just precious! The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. We had a beautiful claw foot tub in our bathroom. The front desk staff was super nice and helpful. Most certainly will be be back!

The front desk staff was absolutely amazing and accommodated our request for a room with full fridge and microwave. The decor is tasteful and well maintained for a circa 1920s building. A truly wonderful stay and overall experience.

A charming vintage hotel within walking distance of all the fun local stops. We greatly enjoyed our stay here. Very nice staff that helped us decide what to do on our trip. The wine and cheese in the evening is a wonderful plus. Would definitely stay again.

This place is all right. A little old, but that is probably what you are looking for if ypu are considering staying here. Clean rooms, nice staff.

The location of the hotel is wonderfully close to pretty much anything you'd like to do. The room was clean and comfortable. The service was friendly and helpful. Plus who doesn't love staying in a slice of history? Definitely plan on coming back.

The room was small and the bathroom even smaller but for a day or two it was quaint. The air conditioner made a loud buzzing noise every minute which was annoying. They said the free breakfast was from 10 to 11 then said it was 9-10. They only had one person there at a time and locked the front door, even during the day. Great location but wouldn’t stay for more then a day or two. It lacked many amenities and no elevator.

This hotel is close to everything. It is an old hotel with plenty of character. As we walked into the room, the Turner classic movies channel was on TV and it brought us back in time. The bathroom had a claw tub and the walls were lined with old water fountains. Very unique! The included breakfast is simple but worthwhile.

Absolutely lovely. For longer stays, I'd loved to have new sheets. I only stayed for four days so I understand that's an offset of choosing a smaller and more homey experience. Super LGBT friendly. Thank you guys.

Very friendly staff. Nice old building charm. Location allows you to walk to everything around the downtown st. Petersburg area. Would deffiently come back.

Location is fabulous! Rooms on 3rd floor were spacious enough (bath shower is 4 smurfs only, but bathroom is spacious 4 vintage building) & ancient AC unit worked flawlessly 2 keep me comfortable. Bed was comfee. Also guests r more varied, so u feel more comfortable. Staff is very pleasant. Free cold breakfast & they have water machine. Only hated stairs, but its probably a historic building. Would stay again.

Very friendly people. Nice lodging. Kind of crampt and lacks a little on options for breakfast but the history and atmosphere of place is just fabulous.

We absolutely loved staying here. The lady working at the front desk was soooo nice. The room was clean and I loved that it was a historic building. I would highly recommend to families and friends.

Lobby offers cozy ambient seating that I lingered there longer than planned. Room 312 is a corner room with a king bed. The black shades against white walls gave this room a chic feel. Linen fresh and delicately scented that I easily fell into deep sleep.

This inn. It’s so so nice! That staff is unbelievably friendly. It’s like i’ve known them forever— they always are asking how you are, greeting and having conversations with you, recommending places nearby. On top of that, the rooms are very cozy and well kept. My only complaint is that the bathrooms are tiny, though I hear not all of them are. If you stay here, go to the sundial mall down the street. So many fun things there— and if you keep walking down that way you’ll find plenty of shops, restaurants and ice cream places as well. (Free breakfast was wonderful! )

Sweet historic hotel with stairs, clawfoot baths and classic fixtures. History hiding in every corner with breakfast in the morning and sometimes free wine and snacks at night. Board games and stuff. Cute place, good value with VERY helpful friendly staff.

The building is historic and I appreciate that it has been kept in tact as such. Rooms still could use a little tlc, warmth and texture. Just because something is historic doesn't mean it has to be cold. Location doesn't get any better as far as access to downtown 2 min walk to restaurants, shopping and bars. Great customer servive, very personable.

This is a beautifully restored old hotel in downtown St. Petersburg that has just enough of the "vintage" feel of an old wood-frame, early 20th century inn, but is clean, nicely decorated and we ll cared-for. A charming front porch and a lobby reminiscent of an upscale Colorado ski resort give it a warm first impression. The rooms are nice, decent sized and very clean. The bathrooms are a little small, but that was the way things were in that period. The innkeeper was friendly and attentive a knew a great deal about the area — and that's a lot to know because this place is right in the middle of the action in downtown St Pete! We will definitely be back… so much better than a cookie-cutter "interstate motel! "

The inn is rather old, so we knew we can't expect the same type of service as a larger, chain hotel. It was really nice and fairly clean, cleaner then we expected considering how old it is. The only problem we had was that there isn't a staff in the morning starting at 8 until about 11am) if I remember correctly) which we found a little odd. There were people outside on the porch with their stuff waiting to get in. Also the shower was very weak. I wasn't sure if I broke it or if it needed a harder touch because you have to pull the shower knob all the way out to get even a little water out, the base of the shower faucet rattled and for a second I thought I broke it. Even then the water came out really weak, like a mist. The windows were frosted so when we went to open the window curtains we couldn't see what the weather was like or the view. Other then that it's an okay inn. The charm is in the age but at the same time keep that in mind. It is old so it will have minor problems. The staff is very sweet and friendly and super helpful. I liked that.

The Inn itself is old but it has been remodeled; it's vintage with a sleek twist. The staff is helpful during the hours they are present. Mind you, it is an 'Inn', not a 'Hotel', so the staff is unavailable after 9:00 pm. I did not find this to be a problem. They are accommodating when you check in. There is no ice machine would you must ask for a bag of ice before the staff leaves for the night, this goes for towels or extra bathroom supplies. Because it is an old Inn, there isn't a circulating air conditioner, so each room has it's own window installation A/C. This was not a problem for me as I stayed during the "winter season" in Florida. Each room is a different color pattern but comes with either two double beds or one king bed. The beds are soft and comfortable, as well as clean. Upon entry to the Inn and my room everything was very clean. Each room has it's own bathroom, it is smaller than the standard size hotel bathroom. It has all brand new appliances and is very clean as well. The bathtubs are the original caste iron bathtubs with claw feet (very cool) with a new overlay, so it is clean and safe. Each room comes with a fridge, "kitchen sink", microwave, and a small single serve Keurig. I stayed in a double room with 4 people and I say that's about as much people you can fit into one room. Bigger parties may need more rooms. One inconvenience was there isn't an elevator, there's only three floors (where I stayed).

This inn benefits from the absolute charm of its architecture and location. I would give the hotel 5 stars if it were not for the staff. The night staff is welcoming and warm. Answered questions, kept a positive demeanor and made us feel right at home. I wish I could remember her name so I could thank her here. The day staff was the complete opposite. They (man and woman) were aloof, didn't want to answer questions and were just generally unpleasant. Quite disappointing really. We didn't ask for much but they were actively ignoring guests and didn't even return a hello, make eye contact, or smile.

The Cordova Inn was a clean, quaint place to stay. The furniture was beautiful and the bed could not have been more comfortable, with clean crisp white linens. The staff was more than helpful and happy. I would definitely stay there again. ☺

The staff was delightful and so was the ambience. Has a great vintage/modernized look to it. For the price, I definitely enjoyed the place and would come back.

I loved my stay at The Cordova Inn. I think its important to know what to expect here, and if it suits you you'll enjoy this place, as I did. It is one of the lowest priced hotels in the Northeast district of St Petersburg. The hotel has been updated, but retains much of it's 1920's charm. My room was spacious enough for me, and nicely decorated. It had a flat screen TV, a desk, and the bed was comfortable. The window air conditioner with digital thermostat kept the room nice and cool. Room service and towel exchange is by request, which was fine with me for my weekend stay. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The Continental breakfast was standard, and satisfactory. The veranda, with its white stucco arches, rocking chairs, and wrought iron tables and chairs was very inviting and cozy. Guests seemed to enjoy congregating there. Again, I enjoyed my stay at The Cordova Inn, and would recommend it strongly. Just don't expect it to be the Hilton, but a charming old hotel, with friendly staff, at a very reasonable price.

Great little gem. The room is beautifully designed. The feel of the building was just cool. That building has some great bones. The staff was fantastic, the breakfast was decent and it is one block from the sundial and just a couple blocks away from the other restaurants on central. We were lucky to find this place after losing other cause of the hurricane. With the price we paid, id definitely stay again.

My first impression of the hotel was amazing, great rooms, warm atmosphere, well decrated, loved the colour schemes, and centrally located in the art of the city. I strongly recommend this hotel for your next place to stay.

Room was clean a nice however the door doesn't shut flush on top, leaves a small gap. The a/c works fine just super loud when trying to watch TV. Bed was comfortable. They need better blinds to restrict light from entering. Overall not bad, convenient to downtown.

The first room we were given smelled like mildew. We switched rooms and it was much better. The bathroom is just big enough to turn around in so bear that in mind if you plan to stay more than one night. The price was right… $89 per night but you get what you pay for. Also, the front desk girl, Kayla, was super nice and helpful. They shut down the front desk at 8:00pm so you are on your own if you lose your room key (we did) or anything else happens. The owner lives off site so there's that. It's in a good location and affordable so if you're on a budget you may not mind staying there.

So charming the furniture and decor is perfect. The staff is very kind and they have great strong coffee. Walking distance to allot of stuff. Will definitely stay here again.

Very friendly staff. The rooms are nice and homey feeling. The bathrooms are very small but that is part of the charm. The pillows are great, in fact I wanted to find out what kind abd where I could get them. The breakfast is very fresh. Can not wail to go back.

Not what I was expecting, I didn't really look at the website, I did see photos, and the rooms looked nice, so I was okay with choosing it, my booking was done via phone… But I was pleasantly surprised! Such a great place with eclectic charm, made for a relaxing stay! Everything I needed as well! Kuerig in my room, flavored creamer, great staff and beautiful rooms! The bathroom I had had an old tub/ shower, which again, I don't mind, but someone might like to know. I was very happy to have chosen the Cordova Inn! Great place! The porch was wonderful to sit on at night!

I stayed at this hotel last weekend and am sad to say was very disappointed. I called in advance to get information about the parking since I am local and know how tricky parking can be downtown. I was assured that there was parking at a cost of $10 per night. When I arrived just a few hours later I was told there was no hotel parking left but could pay a meter. My husband and I have a small child and this was only our 3rd night away in over 15 months and he had to get up at 6am to feed the meter to avoid being towed at a cost of $14 for just one night to park as the meters only go from 11am to 6am the next day. Secondly when we arrived the agent on the phone assured me we would have a very nice room, she stated it was her favorite room. At first we were given a set of keys to a room upstairs and after dealing with the parking situation and brought our bags in, the staff onsite then told us that he had given us the wrong room and gave us keys to a room downstairs. The room was ok but had roach legs on the floor in the room and in the bathroom. We then went to use the featured claw footed tub for a nice bath only to have it leak all over the bathroom floor. When I told this to the staff member onsite, he stated that we had been given the only room that hadn't been fully renovated yet and that most guests didn't take baths. My feelings were that if you feature a claw footed tub it should be able to be used by the guests.

I had some issues at the Cordova Inn. Impressively not even an hour after I posted my review, the owner contacted me. I really appreciated that. I feel very confident that he will address those issues. Thanx again for the call.

This was such a pleasant experience! A very quaint and simple place, but made us feel at home enough to enjoy ourselves so much! We weren't looking for a full service hotel, and we wanted something close to downtown, especially the Dali museum. Our first moments were with an incredibly friendly Jacob, who made sure we had everything we needed. The old fashion, parlor atmosphere was awesome for us, we loved how it was different. We had a simple but clean room that we slept very comfortably in. The breakfast was there on time and coffee was delicious. If you are looking for a hearty meal, then just go somewhere else for breakfast. The light breakfast was great for us because we were walking a lot in the morning and it held us until lunch. Anyway, It was cool. Totally recommend! Great price, great location. Simple. Our kind of place!

The Cordova Inn is a quaint, intimate place to stay in the heart of St. Petersburg. Renovated 1920s, it is full of character. Friendly staff, great service and clean rooms. The location was perfect walking distance to Dali Museum, many restaurants and bars, shopping. I look forward to returning.

I enjoyed the historic aspect and location. The general manager was very friendly and welcoming. I like the fact that they serve free continental breakfast, one of the reasons why I picked this spot. Would I go back? No. Why? There were a few mishaps, continental breakfast was not prepared on time, we waited for about 25mins and left to eat elsewhere. And our specially ordered room arrangements were not provided after being assured they would be ready. We were given a voucher to their restaurant in replace of the mishaps. It is a cute spot and good groupon deal.

Great rooms, amazing porch, best location. You can walk to all the bars and restaurants, and the staff is great! Looking forward to coming back.

My wife and I stayed at The Cordova Inn and had a great experience! The manager Michell was very polite and friendly. It is an older hotel building and has classic charm, plus the location is GREAT.

I'm only giving this hotel a bad review because they didn't have heating in their rooms. It ruined my wife's and my valentine's day/night. I booked the hotel, seemed legitimate and romantic/nostalgic. A review read that there was construction however, it wasn't bad at all, I think they were just finishing up. When we got there, an employee gave us two little complimentary champagne bottles for valentines day, a very nice gesture. We got to the room, seemed nice, clean, and organized. Although it is Florida, it was around 40 degrees outside, so it was pretty chilly. We quickly realized there was no heating, only a AC unit. We went down to report. All but one more room was available, which didn't have heating in it as well. The security guard that worked there offered us a very small (1ft x 1ft) old metal heating unit, but my wife and I didn't see the point. We asked for our money back and left. Very disappointing. That hotel has the potential to be a really nice experience.

My wife and I recently stayed in this hotel on a visit St. Pete to celebrate our 30-year anniversary. Booking this hotel was a huge mistake and our stay was a nightmare! We both believe we must share this feedback with you so you don’t have the same experience. First of all, this hotel is currently making interior and exterior renovations, but they continue selling rooms but are not warning people of the construction noise and fumes. This hotel used to be called the Pier Hotel but has changed the ownership and now it called The Cordova Inn. The new owner (s) obviously care only about money in their pocket – not about the guest. All the time, while we stayed there, we were in the midst of a construction site, not a hotel. They hired constructions workers and were painting external and internal walls – the smell was unbearable. My wife who is allergic to paint odors had an asthmatic attack and we almost called emergency (thanks to fresh St. Pete beach air that we able to escape from this place). Because of this strong odor we constantly had severe headaches. In addition, every day, the hotel was filled with contractors who started working at 8 am sharp, and their equipment was all over the place, blocking guests’ movement in the hallways and stairs. The contractors where talking loud and banging and drilling from 8 am to late at night.

The suppose to be manager of the hotel has the worst customer service I've ever dealt with. I asked her if I could meet with her to discuss an issue face to face and she told me no I couldn't. Then had her employees make up times when she was going to be there when she really wasn't there. Horrible service ever.

The Pier Hotel was great! Very historical and beautiful rooms and lobby. The reps upgraded my room for free because it was my boyfriend and I's four year anniversary. Very nice customer service and right in the middle of town. Definitely recommend.

Overall great, staff is excellent! Me and husband stayed Friday and Saturday night and very happy, kind of like being at your own home with a chef. Walking distance to all bars, which made it nice. It's like being at a bed &breakfast. Old hotel and old time furniture but it was different, a good change. I would recommend this hotel/b&b to anyone. And would stay there again.

One of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at. When we arrived, our room was not ready. We returned at 5;30 pm and the room still wasn't ready. Finally checked in and the room was dirty. Could turn on the cold water to take a shower only to find that the cold water valve was turned off. The reason being is that it was the only way to turn off the cold water. Phone did not work and when we pulled back the bed covers, we found a few popcorn kernels on the sheets. We went to a social event in St. Pete that evening but then drove home to central Florida and checked out at 11:30 pm We never slept in the hotel that night. The staff were friendly but I would never stay there again. Total waste of money.

I have stayed at the hotel numerous times when it was owned by a much more sophisticated group, unfortunately, it was sold to another group and the overall quality of the Pier Hotel has diminished. The managers are very arrogant and deserve no accolades. They are rude and condescending. My mother has worked at this place for about 10 years with no problems as she has never ever even called in for sick time, however, now that the new owners are in service, she doesn't even get her pay check as scheduled. The hotel is going down and many loyal guest have begun to find other places to stay. These new owners are supposedly Christians but they do not practice what they preach. There was a front desk lady, Jane who had done excellent under the old owners and she had been there for years but she recently put in her two weeks notice under the strain and lack of proper management. I would never recommend anyone to stay at this hotel at this time. Hopefully someone with a congenial, humble, hospitable spirit will come to rescue this historic place from the new owners who are driving it into the ground. Wolves in sheep's clothing. Beware.
