UPDATE: I received a call from the manager who explained that The events from my review should not have transpired, and I should have been allowed to check in. I appreciate the professional way in which this was handled and consider this matter resolved. I would have loved to have written a review based on my experience inside the hotel, but I’ll never get that chance due to the unethical and deceitful business practices at this hotel. I pre paid for my room, which is understandably non refundable. Prior to booking my room I read the hotel descriptions and policies as they were available and made sure it was workable for my one night stay. The plan was to check in around 10:30pm, stay the night, leave around noon the next day. Unfortunately like many have experienced throughout the country, my flight to Florida was delayed by several hours. “No worries”, I said. Their policy as stated during booking says “if you plan to check in after midnight please contact the hotel”. Shouldn’t be an issue. I’ve checked into hotels in the wee hours of the morning before, so I contacted them immediately and let them know what was going on. The first person I spoke to informed me that if I didn’t make it by 2am, I’m a no show and no room for me. I asked why and I was told “because that’s when we do our audit, and the credit cards are processed”. “Well”, I said. “No worries because my room is prepaid and I don’t owe you any payment”. Nope, still not good enough. I was put on hold.
Booked a specific room only to show up and find out it wasn't available. I had to pay same price for a room I didn't want. The mini fridge didn't work. All our food went bad overnight. Smoke alarm has flashing LED all night long. Very disappointed for price I paid.
