We come here every year and enjoy the simple beauty of this place, from the environment to the natural wonders that are part of it. Besides the obvious, the beach, there are butterflies all around it and you might get a glance of a cardinal that flies in the area. Highly recommend this place.

Right on the water, private beach. Friendly, helpful staff. Place is a little worn, but try keeping anything looking good, that’s wet all the time. Pricey this time of year. Near the main drag. I’d go back.

Loved this place. The location has the perfect view of the beach. The hotel is easy to get to, especially as far as finding a variety of places to eat and shop. The room was big, clean, quiet, and comfortable. All of the staff, especially Vincent and Yvonne, are genuinely helpful and friendly. I requested a late check-out and it was approved. Highly recommend! 5 Stars.

Not quite as picturesque as photos show. Pool is small. Our room needed a complete overhaul. On the water. Continental breakfast.

Fabulous staff very quaint quiet no one bothers you come and go as you please very willing and eager to help out in any way definitely worth the trip came all the way from New York loved every minute of Delray at the breakers.

Hotel is a wonderful place. Some of the kitchen appliances could use updating but that’s it. Everything else was wonderful location is great staff is friendly and efficient. It was a great family vacation spot. Cannot wait to come back next year!

Room was clean, although showing some age. Modest accommodations, well kept grounds, decent rate for the area. Easy beach access with beach chairs and a few cabanas available to guests at no cost. Beach towels, bottled water & juice always available. Decent but small pool. Pet friendly. No issues with Wi-Fi, but bathroom ceiling in bad need of some repair. Could get noisy with people & cars moving about on the premises. Not really within easy walking distance of dining, shopping, or even just a convenience store. Staff was professional and helpful.

The staff are amazingly sweet and they do there job beautifully. The location is nice it's right by the beach. On the beach there are swim lessons for kids that go from in the morning to late afternoon at the beach (lunch not provided). The only thing wrong with the place is the actual rooms. The room that we booked looked beautiful and new in the pictures. But in reality it's old and has a unforgiving smell of onions. The couch and chair have stains on them the bathroom fan doesn't work. The kitchen on the other hand is nice and it has everything you would need (food not provided). The lights work perfectly fine and the closets are a nice size. Plenty of storage space and there is a TV with good cable. The networks are decently good. I gave this a three because the consequences and pros are equal.

Great location, private beach. Excellent service especially Skip the maintenance Guy so helpful when needed. The GM, Kathy made sure that we were happy! Had a great time! Will return for sure!

This hotel is in deep need of cleaning. Pool has mildew all over it, the rooms need paint and the bathroom is atrocious. They failed to mention that campers use the pool so at 1 pm. 20 kids were in the pool! Right next door is a place called Wright By the Sea. It's amazing for a few more dollars. In my dispair I walked over and they showed me around. I'll be staying there next time!

Love this place. Quiet, run down. Workers are nice. Right on the beach and a short walk to Atlantic ave. Great for running and biking on a1a.

Rooms are ok, all appliances in kitchen (full size fridge, oven, microwave, coffee maker etc). Was a very chilly night and heat wasn't good at all! Kept going lower all night! Was 60 degrees in the morning. 40's outside. I understand it's Florida, but heat has to be better than that!

Right on the beach. The Roma may be dated, but if you want direct access to the water this place is great!

Exterior appearance needs some upgrades, large spacious rooms. Overall good experience for the beach view and access. I enjoyed the stay.

Location was nice, right on the beach. The room was outdated but clean. The pullout sofa was uncomfortable and we could have used more linens (but we had plenty of towels). The kitchen was fine but a few more utensils/ pots, etc would be nice. Not a luxury stay, but good for the price. View from the deck was amazing.

Nice pool and beach. Rooms need some maintenance, and do not blame it all on Irma. Please move the two sofas so we can get to the ice machine.

If you're looking for a 5 star resort with amenities, this hotel is NOT for you, if you're looking for a humble Florida-style hotel that was probably the cream of the crop in it's day, somewhere to rest your head, and a 200 ft walk to the ocean from your room — then this IS the hotel for you. I read a lot of the reviews from other people prior to my visit and almost cancelled, but I said, screw it, we're going to the beach and out to dinner, this is somewhere to sleep. The other guests staying here are friendly, probably not the people giving 1 and 2 star reviews. Front desk was friendly and let us check in 45 minutes early. There is tons of kids aged 1-12+ here, pool toys, lounge chairs for guests to use on the beach, beach towels, and cabana shades. There's a Weber grill by the pool so you can cook your own food. The kitchen has a full sized fridge and a mini gas oven/stove. There are ceramic plates, glasses, silverware, utensils, microwave and coffee pot. Yeah, the cabinets are probably from the 70s and there's plastic ceiling tiles covering fluorescent lights in the kitchen, but it's fully functional so who are we to judge. The lounge area has a full sized pullout sofa, also dated, a naturally shabby chic coffee table, a dining table, desk, bar stools, and a club style chair. Some of the electric is old-school Florida wonky, down means on, you have to flick a switch to get the outlet to work, etc etc… but we're not here to judge the electric and it works.

Loved our experience here, great room, great rates, great location, and great service. Yvonne at the front desk was friendly and accommodating. Will definitely be back!

Had such a great experience. Very clean rooms. Very friendly staff. I Asked the front desk where I can order really good food for delivery and they recommended me to order food from Bella nonna gourmet pizza down the street as they handed me 1 of their menus. They sure were right. They had really good food. Their dinners were amazingly good. And their pizzas was out of this world. Toped it if they delivered in my room. I never had to leave. What a great experience. Thank you so much and I am recommending this hotel to all my friends and family. Good job staff.

We were trying to have good time for our grandmother's 75 birthday. Kids and grand kids trying to have good time. But got so many complaints from the person at the front desk. Really bad attitude, her name is Yvonne. So this is not a family friendly hotel. The Hotel is in bad condition. Good location but really bad customer service and management. The manager was extremely hostile. I really don't recommend go to this Hotel.

Another great Staycation! Living here is great and elegant at times. However if you want to have the feeling of staying at one of the last "old school" beach motels around, this is your place. Sure it's not "The Breakers" on Palm Beach Island hut by writing this I really am letting the cat out of the bag. You don't need a $50 per person breakfast here. Enjoy the greatest low key private beach in Delray here Take the advantage of the downtowner and the other ride sharing programs to get around and enjoy Atlantic Avenue. Enjoy!

It was a really fun place to stay at. The beach was really close and the rooms were great.

The location was great as it was right on the beach and the room service was very good.

It is literally on the ocean, or at least on the beach. Also has a pool. Units are suites with kitchen, living room, separate bedroom. All on ground floor. Not fancy but clean, comfortable, reasonably priced. Modest continental breakfast included. We'd return if back in the area.

The service is very good, very attentive. Nice rooms, clean. The beach is in the courtyard and is a treasure trove of hotel.

Rooms are very basic. Pool is very small. No cushions on the beach chairs. There is an okay Wi-Fi signal. Would not stay here again.

If you're looking for the Ritz Carlton, this isn't it. It is a 1960's-style resort/motel — and they don't pretend to be anything else. The rooms are oversize, meticulously clean, decent kitchenettes and cookware, and it is, quite literally, only steps from the beach. Yes, the place shows its age and could use a bit of refurbishing, but the staff was polite, the continental breakfast more than adequate (packaged Danish, bagels, muffins, bottled juice, unlimited coffee), and the staff was, to a person, friendly and helpful. Wouldn't stay anywhere else.

This is an old-Florida style hotel and we've stayed here a couple of times. While Breakers not in the most pristine condition, it is clean and we were well please with the accomdations. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The suites are a good size and we stayed in two ground floor units with kitchens. The continental "help-yourself" breakfast, pool and other ammenities suited us just fine. But of course, the best part is that you are right on the beach and if you get an end room, you can enjoy the sunrise from it. Or just take a short walk down to the wide sandy beach and take a dip in the Atlantic or go shelling. Prices vary with the season and the best deals can be found in the early summer time-frame. We're locals and use this for a stay-cation getaway, but we also recommend it to visiting friends and family.

The pictures make it look newly renovated but when we got there the place was literally falling apart. The front door was hard to close due to decay of the door frame. The building and roofs are visually rotted. Paint was chipping on the walls by the windows due to water damage. The ceiling was water damaged over the entire bedroom. The putting green is black and moldy. The pool is way smaller than the pictures make it seem. The bathroom was smaller than you could ever imagine. The front office smells like an attic of an old home as did the room. The kitchen was not remotely what was pictured (much smaller with very old and cheap appliances). I could just go on and on. We gave up our deposit and left after 15 minutes in the room. Learn from my mistake and stay somewhere else.

The experience was awful. The front office personnel were not hospitable or interested in good customer service. They did not greet us kindly and all they were concerned about was telling us about the pet rules. They say they are pet friendly but in reality they are not! They told us we could only walk our dog on little strips of grass on busy highway A1A. It appears that they do not care about the safety of their guest! Our family wanted to spend a quite and enjoyable day at a nice hotel to celebrate my daughter's 19th birthday. I asked a man in the front office on the day before I arrived if it was possible to check into the room an hour or two early (1pm instead of 3pm) and he clearly was not interested in doing that for our family. He made it seem like it would be impossible and as if it would take an act of Congress for that to happen. When we finally were allow to enter our hotel rooms at 3pm we found them to be infested with ants and a decor strait out of the 1960's. All the work (painting, caulking, etc. ) was obviously done by a poorly trained handy-man. The interior bathroom door locks were inoperative and even the entrance door looks needed servicing! Their pool looked big on the internet, but when we actually saw the pool it was undersized and loaded with people and therefore not very inviting. The beach area was littered with trash! My advice to anyone considering staying at this hotel is don't waste your money.
