This hotel is good for 2-3 day stay. The room we had was small but has a beautiful decor. The rainfall shower was amazing. The beach however was filled with so much seaweed. It extended at least 15 feet into the water. The pool party vibe was mostly for the young people. We felt extremely out of place. Then hidden charges to use pool chair etc at the pool party. Overall Its not a bad place. The staff was efficent and helpful. It's a great place to party on the weekends. I guess I'm spoiled by my carribean all inclusive vacations.

Amazing boutique hotel. The design is thoughtful throughout every room and hallway. The service is spectacular and one of a kind. The food and drinks were amazing and you could taste how much effort went into making every dish. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for the quintessential Miami experience!

The hotel is next to the beach and has got two swimming pools. I liked not only the location but also the time I spent there.

So we had lunch and drinks at the SLS. It was really nice. We were thinking about having some more drinks at the pool party. BUT, wait for it! As we walked to the entrance some door boy with his surfer shorts and his old Navy T-shirt and 12 Dollar sunglasses said that it would be $100 to get in, Come on this what this hotel has come to, with kids likes this and taking people that come to spend their money in our city, shame on you. So, I told him hay I’m from Miami I’m not falling for that one. Meanwhile you try to be elite but you hav some young lady in a g-string fighting with you bouncer trying to get back in.
I ask you this. It’s a pool party! If any one knows me you would know that I don’t care about spending cash for drinks and a good time. But 100 dollars to get in some where. He should just told me that I was not welcome. Please this is what this shit has come too. I ask all the people that do this for living. Don’t be a Asshole. It’s a pool party with no special Dj.

The pool parties here are always bomb. Your looking at $400 minimum if you want a day bed. If your getting snacks you HAVE to try the tortilla chips, guac and hummus. The texture of the tortilla chip tastes almost like the skin of a deep fried samosa. Only down fall has been the umbrella situation. It would be nice if the staff would be more helpful in bringing out umbrellas for guest. Twice now that has caused a lot of people to leave when it really wasn’t raining that bad at all. Otherwise the DJ is always good and it’s right on the beach which is convenient if you want to take a dip in the ocean as well.

Recently stayed at the SLS Miami Beach hotel and had an amazing time. With employees like Mel Rupert managing the front desk it's really shocking that this hotel isn't rated 5 stars on here. Mel made sure that our stay and the service and attention we received was world class. Everyone at the SLS, from the managers, to the security, and down to housekeeping were always courteous and ready and willing to help. The SLS is also known for its awesome pool parties at Hyde. It's possibly the best pool party in Miami and one that can easily rival those in Vegas. If you've never been to the one at the SLS, it's truly something that you should experience at least once in your lifetime. Special shout out to Andrew Dulac who also looked out for us and, who just like Mel, went above and beyond what hospitality is and really raised the bar. Without us having a reservation and even though they were at full capacity, Andrew made us feel welcomed and personally made sure that we where accommodated. There's really no need to consider other hotels. Sure there maybe cheaper ones but I can guarantee to that none will offer you the world class hospitality service that you'll get here, especially with employees like Mel and Andrew working there.

Wow. I was so incredibly disappointed with my stay at SLS Miami. The outside of the hotel makes it seem like you’ll be staying at a beautiful luxurious hotel but then you get to the rooms and it’s the complete opposite. The hall ways are dark, brown carpet, dark walls, with old looking numbers — straight out of a murder scene. The hallway was the least of my concerns though because when I entered the hotel room I was in absolute disgust. There were random spots all over the room (not sure what it was) and on the pillow. The bathroom shower tiles looked like it hadn’t been cleaned well in a while and had what looked like mold in the cracks (I had to wear flip flops inside shower). The bathroom sink didn’t look clean either and my friend and I had to wash it. When we complained at the front desk we were told that they were sold out but that a housekeeper would come change the sheets while we were at dinner… that didn’t happen either. Wish I could post the pictures on here… will try Yelp.

Amazing experience at the SLS South Beach this week! From check in, to my upgraded room to the hotel staff. My friend and I felt like VIP and enjoyed our stay. The rooms are trendy and well kept, the pool amenities were swanky and the bar/restaurant on the patio was perfect. We will definitely be back.

Staying here this week. Nice rooms and design, comfortable beds. The breakfast service is disappointing, though, limited choices and no menu to know what I can choose.
The restaurants are nice but service really needs to improve for what you pay. Bazaar by Jose Andres: good quality Spanish products, although overpriced. Again, service is the key. The pool is great.

Nice. Clean. Conveniently located near the beach and restaurants. Friendly staff. Rooms are small. Exercise room is accommodating but small. Has three treadmills and an elliptical machine. But, they are very quality machines. The pool is nice. The restaurant is good but pricey. There is little room to hang clothing for even one person. Hotel gives guests two free chairs on the beach but, charges $20 for an umbrella and there is a charge for tables to put food and drinks on. There is food and drink service on the beach. Hotel holds $150 per day on your credit card for incidentals… I don't like that.

Amazing hotel in a great location. How amazing the room was, incredibly spacious, comfortable bed, and a truly magnificent view. The breakfast was very delicious, and the cocktails offered were amazing. If you are looking to create some memories, I would highly recommend this hotel.

Rooms are small. Location, beach and pool are excellent. I do wonder why the top floor is used for facilities rather than a roof deck or public space!

Although I didn't stay at the hotel I used the beach club services! I had one of the best services I've ever had at a beach club only compared to the one at The Breakers in West Palm. Our server Nicholas was super attentive, friendly and fast. I'll definitely go back and recommend this place!

They sent me a WIKI link about how the chicken IS RAW?! They are a complete joke and have Zero Management SKILLS! I WAS SICK for 3 days, they claim you get sick 8 hours after eating raw chicken! When the FDA says 1! They will not issue a refund of any kind! NO Actions from this business they are a joke… they are awful!

I want to share my experience about the beach club. You take the chaise and the umbrella, ready to relax and have a snack. It takes forever for a server to bring the menu. Well, you think, it happens, maybe they are super busy. You wait for the drinks. Around 20 minutes. Annoying, but you still have some remnants of patience. The food however… If you are lucky, it a 30-40 minutes wait. If it's not your day — the food arrives in an hour. Seriously, it's not like they serve delicatessen. Guacamole and chips takes them an hour to bring? Ridiculous if you ask me.

Overpriced. Our room was designed by an idiot. Nowhere to hang your towel near the shower. Sink handle is impossible to turn with wet hands. No sheet on the bed, which makes it hard to get comfortable temperature wise. They charge you a resort fee then want $500 to rent a chair for two hours in the "resort" area. Staff was at times rude, though front desk staff was helpful. UPDATE: The owner wrote to me somehow telling me that because I booked through a third-party, I was given lesser service and worse room.

This place seems to be a great place when you look at it and research it. I was highly awaiting my stay here, but after getting here I am very dissatisfied with the service I have received. The room is beautiful in every way, but after paying a daily fee to use the amenities we’ve been denied access to both of the pools on site. They advertise that drinks from Hyde beach are 80$ for a pitcher and we were happy to pay that, but we were dissatisfied to find out that our bill was $130 vs the $80 we were quoted because they were very busy. Then we were told that the manager was “too busy” to come and fix the issue. If you want to listen to music until 11:30pm, be woken up at 11am by loud music, and share your elevators with hookers and rowdy people this is certainly the place for you. If you’re seeking somewhere quiet, relaxing, and somewhere that allows you to access the amenities you’re paying for look elsewhere. This place is overrated.

Good location. Tiny room! More like a cabin really. More space dedicated to the mini bar than to places for hanging or storing clothes. Should waive the $40 resort fee during Miami Music Week, when the pools are effectively inaccessible to hotel guests.

Teeny tiny room! No closet and only a wire rod for hanging clothes. But! … hotel is amazingly retro and beautiful. Only valet parking. Two of the male concierge staff ignored me and did not even say hello upon my arrival and after my standing at the front desk for several minutes. A third helped me and was somewhat friendly. Just seems to me there should be a little warmth at the front desk, as this is the first impression and possibly the biggest opportunity to engage a client. You never know who might be at your front desk, and it's an active choice that you should choose to ignore someone when it doesn't cost you anything to be warm & friendly. Also not sure why I should need to explain something so elementary.

Great food, service and atmosphere. Higher class of people enjoying the Hyde bar by the pool, inside bar, and formal dining. A lot to do without leaving the Hotel. Rooms were a little small but very nice. Will be going again soon.

Stayed at the SLS while in town for Art Basel Miami 2017 and it was amazing. They gave us an amazing room with all the amenities and the concierge was amazing at getting us into restaurants and clubs we wanted to go. It very neat and boutique.

Perfect location, great staff, excellent food (those macaroon's in the room, mind blowing) the view over the city from the 11th floor room 1108 or the view from the 8th floor room 809 are excellent. The interior design, restaurant, furniture, pool side, have an art gallery feeling.

Upscale feeling hotel in a very walkable area of Miami beach. They have two decent sized pools (one chill and one with music). Rooms were nice but the bathrooms are small. Nice views and good location.

This place does not even deserve one star. They booked a Halloween party for all of the law schools in South Florida and sold tickets for it WEEKS in advance. The night of the party (tonight), we arrive and the bouncers are holding the door from 11 pm — 12 am so they can start charging cover at 12 am. They said they were at full capacity. If you knew you'd reach capacity, then why did you sell more tickets than you could fulfill? Not to mention, the bouncers are rude. One got irate and ended up closing the doors on us. So, about 200 students were not let into a party they paid for because SLS does not know how to handle a crowd, and doesn't know how to fulfill tickets they sold. Don't ever book an event at this place.

High-end luxury hotel situated on the beach. The staff was extremely accommodating, the decor — outstanding. The pool was simply fabulous. Be prepared to pay luxury prices. A round of two drinks at the pool or beach ran roughly $45, and our breakfast for two cost $92 — breakfast did not include any alcoholic beverages. The room was absolutely gorgeous. We stayed in a king corner room on the 9th floor overlooking the pool and beach. The decor was very chic and the room was spotless. Our room came with 2 chairs at the beach (umbrellas are extra), as well as 2 chairs at the poolside, so finding an available place to sit was very easy. We ate dinner at Bazaar and it was one of the most memorable meals we've enjoyed in a very long time. Location is right in the heart of South Beach — everything was only steps away. Overall, our stay at SLS was a very enjoyable experience.

Love staying here. Hyde Beach is a popular hangout. If you want to go to an event it's better to check in the hotel and gain access to Hyde Beach unless you want to stand inline or deal with stern door men.

This is a very fancy, upscale and a nice hotel to have a corporate event. They have a great bar by the poolside and a fantastic barbecue station. The people at the hotel and the wait staff are courteous and accommodating. Their burgers were excellent.

It's unfortunate, because SLS South Beach is definitely one of the coolest hotels in South Beach: great restaurant, good rooms, amazing club! However service is dramatically poor. It looks like they have so many customers that they just don't care. In our case, we booked 3 nights over weekend. When we arrived on Thursday night at 11.30pm we were told there were no rooms left and they give us a room in another hotel of a way lower category. We have not even been offered any compensation for the inconvenient. Such a bad experience.

The outdoor bar is beautiful with gorgeous decor and a view of the pool. The service was great and food was unbelievable. You order all your tapas at once and they bring them out in the order the chef intends you to taste them. The unique presentation on the food also adds to the experience. Also, the sangria is amazing. I would go back here any day.

I recently stayed here with my boyfriend and paid extra for a city view that was supposed to be "higher up" and saw nothing but vents and metal. When I confronted the manager, Gary he only wanted to give me $35 back after I spent over a $1000 for my stay and hundreds of dollars on food/beach services. The website was falsely advertising a city view. My view was directed towards the beach but you couldn't see it because the vents blocked it. I have a picture but it won't let me add to the post. Not only that, but the staff sometimes didn't hold the door open for us or greet us. The door was always held open for "certain" people. We are a young, interracial couple and completely felt mistreated and not fairly compensated for what we paid for. I will not be coming back and certainly not recommending anyone else to stay here.

Great food & service all the way around. If you are looking for atmosphere this is it. If you want a more beachy, pool relaxing vibe, where chairs & things are free, this would not be my first choice. When we stay at The SLS we are prepared to drop some cash to get the level of service required.

A most wonderful experience but like most luxury places in Miami — not for the weak of wallet. Full service everything! 24/7 food. Here for two more days. Will update if anything else changes!

This hotel was so sexy and chic. My husband and I had a wonderful time. We looked up reviews before booking this hotel and I'm not sure why people complained about the rooms being small it was perfect for us! We were in the middle of everything and their restaurants in the lobby had some of the best food I've tasted in a while. You will not be disappointed if you stay here, thank you guys for the awesome experience!

I've stayed here a last year and the people were just as arrogant and rude as this past weekend. We had friends in town for the 4th of July so, we visited them at the SLS (Saturday and Monday the 4th) at the pool. We had a Cabana AND TWO bottles which cost well over $1000. The door man at the pool is extremely racist. I had my friends that were staying at the hotel come to the front to ask him to let me in and he ignored them twice while letting other people inside. Our friends starting getting visibly upset so, the doorman tried to charge me $50. We told him we rented a Cabana then he ignored us again letting more people inside. They asked him again "What was the problem? " HE ignored them again. Another promoter pulled him to the side and shortly after I was let in the pool. I must add that on Saturday there were a group of black women trying to get into the pool area arguing with this same guy. I believe his name is David. Even a security guard saying there is always an issue with the women of color getting in this exclusive party. One day someone is going to sue them for discrimination. Pros: The food is very delicious I give them that.

I thought it was an amazing atmosphere. Beautiful people nearby and a great place to stay inside the heart of the city. I didnt like it was extra money to go to a pool party hosted at the hotel you are paying to stay at it. It should all be included!

Went to the Matador restaurant. The best mean we had in Miami! Specifically the chipotle chicken tacos and suckling pig were out of this world.

Super-trendy place for the generic Miami hotel/club scene. Very expensive. You can have more fun elsewhere but this is where the expensive decor and expensive plastic surgery goes.

The SLS restaurant is incredible. Don't miss the Croquetas de Pollo!

Great service, actual hotel is a bit small and awkward to move around in. The bull with a luchador mask on in the lobby is cool. Rooms seem more Starck "inspired" than "designed. " Probably just an outcome of taking over the old ritz, rooms are a little small.
