Beautiful hotel, with great hospitality service. The hotel makes you feel welcome, and as soon as you enter, it smells wonderful. Very accommodating to your needs and your situation. We have been going here for the last few years, and can’t say enough.

Love this hotel! My feedback is specific to the service at the outdoor pool dining area. It was awful today. Our server was Non attentive and missing during our entire experience. But, with an automatic 18% gratuity it’s hard to provide the proper feedback. Definitely disappointed.

Brett and I had a great time! We had a two story bungalow that was so fun! Our chairs at the pool were out our front door! Great staff. Out to please!

Art Deco nostalgia everywhere. Interior Decor Absolutely the best, rooms nice bungalows the best, food impeccable, bars and drinks even better. Love the pool.

Fabulous atmosphere! Music drinks and accommodations were terrific.

Hotel needs to get upgraded. The rooms is very cold and it was smelling as we checked in. They brought us a heater but it’s not helping! They just told us that they run out of heaters… very poor customer service by Sam.
Restaurant and bar area is very nice.
We overpaid for the rooms and service.

If you are looking for a boutique hotel with 5 star customer service, I would stay away. Valet damaged my vehicle, hotel manager referred me to the parking company, whom they sub the work out to — yet Delano takes the money, the parking company ignored me. I reached out the GM todd. Orlich@sbe. Com who said he would take care of, but alas has not. Put your money elsewhere.

A very old hotel. It's all dirty. The windows that haven't been washed for years. The old smell in the lobby and in the elevator. The air conditioning is in the dust. The toilet did not work, called the employee (corrected instantly and came immediately). Towels washed with stains. From a good comfortable mattress, clean bed white. The beach is dirty all in the algae that stink. The sunbeds are old but the towels are new. Very nice restaurant with great staff. The reception is also very friendly, settled ahead of time, the staff tries very hard but the hotel is very tired of time. The status of the luxury hotel has remained a long way in the past.

One of my favorite places in Sobe. We hosted two pool parties, had many meals and had many overnights there and have had a wonderful experience every time. It's an iconic destination and trip back in history.

We had a great tine, its modern and very clean. The service from the lobby to the waiters was excellent. Please try the open grill at the restaurant amazing will go back there when I an in Miami again… but its a little pricy but worth every penny. The cocktails were on point.

The service is beyond deplorable. Delano is a beautiful masterpiece and a timeless Miami modern classic. But the service and food are horrific. Gone are the glory days.

The rooms are beautiful and very clean and the spa (while we did not get a chance to book a service) looked amazing and relaxing. The pool area was nice with a bit of a sugar daddy scene but it is Miami Beach after all. Drink prices are super high… be prepare for that and the Beach Club Happy Hour is only good on the weekdays. The Resort fee does come with some goodies, read the list carefully because they almost forgot to give us our free scent. I suppose if you have money to spare these things don't matter but if you are here for a special occasion, like we were, then this is a nice touch. The staff was always very courteous and smiley and very accommodating.

Amazing pool and hotel too!

I went to the restaurant for dinner. The entrance of the hotel is very beautiful and the valet is nice. The furnitures are nice because Philippe Stark designed the place. The food is very good with expansive prices but it worth it. I recommend the « grilled octopus » and the « salmon casserole ». The pool is amazing at day or at night. Very pleasant place where I will return for sure.

Total awesomeness. Our poolside bungalow was perfect. Clean with everything pure white… down to the Carrera marble in the bathroom. The staff was exceptional… always a smile… always asking if you needed anything and always happy to get it for you. Food was awesome. The bottles of Champagne never seemed to stop at brunch. Good music around the pool… I can’t wait to get back for another long weekend!

Delano is the best luxury hotel in Miami, in my opinion. Everything here is the best of the best from dining options to room choices, and entertainment selection. Best among these is the service. The people who work here are genuinely concerned with making your experience memorable and authentic. True relaxation and luxury awaits at Delano SoBe. I will be back.

The Delano is beautiful however drinks at bar are a bit expensive. I loved that they have a pool table in the lobby but also the pool sticks are the worst I’ve seen at a bar. Only one other bar had close to as bad. I love pool and was so excited to see a table! I’m hoping the person who manages checking their reviews will notify the appropriate person to get new nice pool sticks and maybe re-felt the table. The felt condition is also not great table feels a little uneven and felt has pills. So I’m hoping they will at minimum replace all pool sticks because with what they make from room rates that’s a very small cost for them to greatly enhance their pool table which is a nice feature just needs to be made better.

Nothing but the eyes is worth a visit. Have a drink at the end of the day. Dinner table quite honorable and finally not so expensive.

The whole staff here were friendly, helpful, and professional. Beautiful building, immaculate rooms, and great ambiance… right on the beach! Can't get much better than that!

After a week of wonderful dining and cocktail experiences at several of Miami’s and South Beach’s finest establishments, we were highly disappointed with our pre-dinner cocktail experience at the Delano bar; the $20 expense and 20 percent service fee charged for each of two weakly made “Plymouth gin and tonics” seemed excessive. Trying to understand the charges and correct the experience resulted in poor customer service. The bartender took several minutes to locate a manager. The bar manager refused to correct the charge or remake the partly consumed drinks, and could not locate a general manager to help improve the experience. Clearly the cost of finer experiences cannot be disputed when the service and quality of goods are outstanding. Sadly, this experience resulted in your customers feeling ripped off and underwhelmed by the Delano.

If you like to pay $47 dollars a flute for cheap/average champagne than this is the place for you. Maybe it's the half cut strawberry on top that justifies the price. The grounds are ok and the rooms are very average for the $500 a night and up you will spend. Do yourself a favor and find a better place to make other people rich at your expense, because this place is not worth it. They prey on your ego and take advantage, but that's Miami, everyone tries to be a big shot and they profit from it. So many better options other than the Delano.

5 * Atmosphere Food Service.

The Delano was THE PLACE to stay in Miami Beach in the 1990s. I know because I stayed there back then. ;) (room rates started at $295) Back then, the rooms were tiny, the service snooty and the clientele was the A list of Hollywood, London and NYC. Today — 2 decades on? The rooms are still tiny, the service is now great and the clientele is the B List from Europe and South America. GOOD: Those bones! A timeless, gorgeous building, gorgeous gardens and gorgeous pools. Rooms have been spiffed up (still tiny) but the beds, most importantly are super comfy (excellent sleep). Pet friendly, Staff at the pool were AWESOME! Front desk staff — super friendly and very patient, unlike other Miami hotels they hire outside from Miami it appears (huge improvement from the 90s) BAD: Bathrooms are TINY! Housekeeping takes forever (often rooms weren't cleaned until 5pm) and the clientele is really stuck up and full of themselves for no good reason. Valets are hit or miss, some awesome, some extremely lazy. The Hallways smell bad, those need to be renovated and deep cleaned. OVERALL — still a stunner after all this time, a MIAMI CLASSIC. Rates are kinda crazy considering the competition however if you are eagle eyed enough, there are excellent last minute deals to be had ($300 for ocean view oftentimes).

Wonderful place to have a laugh, between beer and beer, of course!

Amazing hotel and incredible restaurant Argentina (Leynia)

Super rude and aggressive pool staff from Miami Music Week, cops were called on me for being in the pool having a good time with my friends, was removed and treated to go to jail without explanation. Still have bruises on me After all, a bill comes after 7 hours of arrival, more than double of what should have be. Staff yelling at us screaming and not facing us, always with the cops in the middle that we have to pay. Manager just left us, never came back with any answers or agreements, nothing, zero. No feed back from the surveillance camera, everyone disappear with no explanation, cards hold inside, my personal items inside. Left me in the street on biquini and everyone frustrated. The power over there its repulsive *If I could give 0 STAR I would.

This hotel was interesting. The decor and layout is quite nice and spacey. The rooms are small but detail oriented and chic. My absolute favorite part of this hotel would be the restaurant. It is an Argentinian BQQ with Japanese Fusion and I am still thinking about the meals I had there… Seriously incredible. My biggest complaint/concern was the service at the pool and the clueless employees. I went during Miami music week with my Mother and I felt as if there was no communication between the staff members. Someone would tell us one thing, and others would tell us something completely different. And then some employees were just curt and straight up rude. Once we were told we had to leave the pool at 2PM, and then we come back down at 4PM and people were still there! Which we found very upsetting. The bathroom is another huge problem I had. It was small and not fully stocked with things normal 5 stars hotel have. NO BATHROBES? Just unacceptable. Overall good experience. Service was not 10/10 and needs improvement.

Beautiful always, a spot worth experiencing. Very nice staff in hotel, restaurant and bar closest to beach entrance. Lobby bar is intimate and inviting — bar tender takes the job quite seriously but drinks are top notch.

I didn't like the set up of the pool party yesterday. The outside bar and how the DJ is on the side is wack. They wouldn’t even let anybody go in the pool at pool party. Wtf!

It was a very nice place to have a good breakfast. Poor cleaning, I found cockroach in shower and hair in the towels. High prices.

It's just a pity to have changed the concept of breakfast, before it was a buffet, very nice… Be careful to leave the Delano to the Delano!

My favorite spot in South Beach. Great staff, atmosphere is top notch, it's so relaxed yet classy at The Delano. Food is great, rooms are comfortable and we just love the attitude the staff has. They always make us feel at home.

Review is only based on time spent out by the pool at night for a private event. Inside is very chic, renovated in 1995, but looks brand new. 1950s charm.

Great place to go as a couple, enjoy an excellent atmosphere, good music.

I didn't sleep but I took advantage of the various facilities having dined in the Japanese restaurant inside. I have to say that this hotel is very trendy and has a real fascination between the lounge and the back. A must see.

In the heart of South Beach we visited during the Wine and food festival.

We spent 8 days last March at the Delano, and we can’t wait to do it again this March! Miami and music week are calling us down from the frosty North! Why do we love the Delano? Not just because it is beautiful, it is all of the people who work there that make the hotel! Best service! Thank you and can’t wait to see everyone in a few weeks!

Loved everything about the Delano. It is like stepping back in time with the Art Deco architecture. The service was great. Love the neighborhood and Fred at the beach and Henry at the pool were the best.

Don't miss a visit! It is beautiful and the original super decoration.

Several times lived in this large historic hotel on Collins Avenue with beautiful views from the rooms on the sea and beach and a great Japanese restaurant Umi. Friendly staff, large rooms and stylish interior design. A large Agua spa with a full range of treatments and a small piece of public beach with sunbeds, as with all nearby hotels. Delicious breakfasts. The hotel was built in the Art Deco style exactly 70 years ago, the main attraction among the hotels of South Beach. Named after President Roosevelt. The price-quality wail is appropriate. Here you can get in touch with the history of Miami architecture. And my favorite pool is on Collins Avenue.

I was with friends at brunch on January 1st. Absolutely negative!. I always went both for breakfast and for aperitif… and until two years ago the brunch was fabulous.
Unfortunately they changed management, is no longer Italian "La Dama", but is called Leynia run by an Argentine chef and an Asian chef, so I informed Mrs. Delphine Codaic, General Restaurant Manager, when precisely the day itself picked up my complaints. The food was horrible… Apart from a brazier with quantity of meat (I do not eat meat) … set up miserable… "Four oysters and some sushi… they even offered Champagne cliquot to rivers… and there was an infinity of squisetezze; so much so as to remain appalled (by the pleasure also visual). Service at the table indecent, rude waiter and eternal wait times even to have cutlery…
A myth has fallen. I hope that when I return to Miami there is no longer all this anyway thank the owner of the Delano, for his kind reply and we hope that you will soon find the pleasure to stay again and happily.

I love the art which is what this place is known for. My room and hallway absolutely need a make over. However some of my friends who stayed here as well had very nice updated accommodations.

I was there for drinks on their rooftop bar but they were closed for the night. Instead my wife and I say in the lobby and talked for a couple hours. It was awesome.

Except for the thump thump thump of the bass on the lounge music playing, this place was super!. The music went on and on with a thump forever. I still gave it 5 stars because it is still the same cool hotel as I remembered it from 2003.

Super Bad we arrived at the hotel booked and then we were not allowed to use the pool PQ was rented and had to pay 150 dollars to part to go to the pool and all this did not say after we had paid the reservation that bad experience if one booking a hotel is for Use everything in the hotel.

We stopped for a drink in the evening at the pool bar. It's a great spot for a group or couples as you can sit in one of the pool side cabana, looking at the lit up pool. Great atmosphere.

The pool parties, Rose bar, lobby all superb. Design… Philip Stark, always chic. Except for cocktail prices. Average $15. But then again its the norm for south beach.

Luxury design hotel on the beach, only a few minutes walk from Ocean Drive and Lincoln Road. Probably the best pool in South Beach: have fun listening to underwater music!

Great place to have a Sunday Brunch. The food was delicious and the band played French music. It was too loud I must say and the pool party near by took away from the atmosphere. The hotel itself was beautiful and trendy and the service was excellent.

Steals your money from your account/ credit a week after check out. $1000 a night — too expensive. I only agreed to $500/600 a night. 2 weeks after stay they still charged $2000. I stayed one night due to fact they (Miami and hotel) did an evacuation due to Hurricane Irma. So they withheld the $2000 for me to not access in trying to leave Florida. Horrible experience! staff rude. NOT BOOK HERE! You've been warned.

Brilliant Hotel, was there years ago!

The Delano south beach is very relaxing it's peaceful you can go visit the aquarium anytime you want it makes me feel like I'm actually in the water. The room for the Delano south beach hotel was very clean the bed was changed every day you did not have to ask for anything they would offer it to you.

Swimming pool Superb (heated). The rooms do not have cupboards to place suitcases, clothing etc, the Wi-Fi connection is paying! Decor to refresh.

Two weeks are not enough. Will be definitely our Winter destination. People who made this hotel has nice imagination!

Fantastic experience, a daydream.

We have stayed at the Delano many times over the last few years and I must say, this last visit was disappointing. The room was great but the overall service was just sub standard. Specifically, the pool service was just poor. Had to go to the bar to order drinks, then a waitress would show up with a separate bill and compete with the bar, often duplicating drinks that we had already ordered from the bar after getting tired of waiting 45 minutes for her to show back up. Julian at the pool was awesome, very attentive attendant. The new restaurant Leynia was very good. Overall, a disappointment. Not the upper scale standard we were expecting. Not sure we will be back.

This hotel is very beautiful with a fun, hip vibe. The lobby is sleek and tree staff find to be incredibly helpful. We only ran into one minor problem, which wss brought to the attention on the front desk, and was immediately corrected. The parking is valet for a fee, but I think that's very standard in this area. We booked a package which included parking. The valet was quick and friendly.

Location top, great facility, but the restaurant a real disappointment, price no high but appallingly high not to eat at all well, I would not go there for no reason.

Great rooms. Everything is white from the floor to the ceiling passing by bed and couch!
Walk through an inner aisle punctuated by intimate spaces separated by huge white light curtains to read or listen to music or drink a drink.
Swimming Pool ditto.
Frequentation very connected especially after nightfall.

Great hotel with cool chique bar for great after hours drinks.

Treated appalling. Went to the hotel, all dressed up for a drink with my girlfriend. We went to order a £200 bottle of wine, and were then told that they did not have it or most of the wines on the list. To top it all off, despite the pool area being quiet, plenty of seating available, we were told that only seating options were the damp pool loungers. Disgraceful, never had anything like it after visiting many of the world's top hotels.

Bad mojito, and the don't have brugal and barcelo Rhum.

I attended the robin shulz event on 03/17/16. The venue was nice would have enjoyed a pool facing stage rather than the patio facing stage but was still and amazing relaxing and fun at the same time.

Poolside at the Delano! The music is spot on. All of the staff is extremely pleasant. We will be back!

Went to the FDR club at the Delano. Great music and not too crowded. Drinks were expensive but no more than other spots on South Beach.

The Italian restaurant here is phenomenal! Everything on the menu is delicious, but I highly recommend sharing some appetizers — I had the steak tartare and sashimi tuna pizza. The club done the back is also very cool but is all outside (so make sure the weather suits)

One of the best sushi chefs in Miami Beach! A must-have. Bring your drinks by the pool after for the best view ever.

I was there for the weekly evening in which becomes the "the place to be" in SoBe. The Hotel deserves the fame it has and the party at the edge of the pool is really impressive.

There are better hotels in Miami! The service is not so good! I recommend the Marlin Hotel! It is more economical and the rooms are much better. The good thing about the Delano is having swimming pool and direct access to the beach.

Great property, clean rooms, and it definitely lives up to it's high class reputation. Now the only reason it gets 4 stars instead of 5 is it is kind of expensive and I think some of the employees are a bit stuck up. Oh well maybe it was a bad day for said employees.

Delano is a classic Art Deco hotel in Miami South Beach. The boutique style hotel lobby opens up to an outdoor patio restaurant with beautiful grounds. We enjoyed food service at the pool bar and the beach service staff demonstrates the 5 star rating this hotel earned. There is nothing like this in South Beach.

It is very lundo and attention is great.
