This is the worse hotel I've ever been to in my life. The bed had hair all over it, showers were dirty, had dirty laundry left in there from previous people. Was told to talk to manger next day and they would refund my room. Would have left but I was drained from my drive from michigan. I couldn't drive any longer. So next day I spoke with a "manager" she was very rude and said I was trying to get a free ride. I told her I was offered a full refund by the other manger. She told me to bad and she wasn't refunding it. She treated me like dirt. I did not get my money back and I got to sleep in a dirty room with a Bed full of hair. I do not recommend this travel lodge. I would rather sleep in my car next time. It don't even deserve 0 star.

Not the Ritz, but what I expected when checking into a motel. I was in town visiting, and checked in for convenience to SWF airport. Easy drive to airport, and room was clean, and bedding "trendy". Pool, vending machines and nice breakfast. Staff was very nice.

… for a pet friendly motel. The entire facility has a shabby feel, BUT our room was clean and spacious. The rate was the best value I've seen in decades, not even including the free Wi-Fi and breakfast. Plus, we were traveling with pets and there were not lots of options.

Quite decent and clean for the price. Iris attended me at the front desk and she was nice and professional. Doors and other details need to be painted though, but overall it was good.

This place had friendly staff and a decent breakfast. Now for the rooms… Incredibly dirty. Toilet didn't flush right and the slider lock on top was falling off the wall. There were stains everywhere, some stains had stains. The place smelled like a dirty apartment complex. I won't be staying here again.

Took my son there as a daycation so we could swim, eat junk food and watch TV. We arrived there and the TV wasn't working, the internet went in and out of service all day and night. The room smelled like musty mold. We had to go to Family Dollar for candles so the smell wasn't so bad. There was bugs crawling around all over the place. We got home and I immediately put our clothes in the washer in case we brought anything home. The best thing about the experience was Mels Diner, which is within walking distance of the hotel. Dinner was delicious! The best advice I can say is you get was you pay for. Next time I will shell out more money to stay at a nicer hotel. Beware!

All of the staff was completely rude and they would not let my husband a previous military serviceman stay there with his service dog. They said all pet friendly rooms were booked. But having a service dog it does not matter if it was a pet friendly room or not.

My experience was super fatal … there were cockroaches inside the rooms … everything with a bad smell of cigarette smoke … neglected and deteriorated … it would be like sleeping on the street … I will not go back though be free.

Stayed at both Travelodges in Fort Myers area; both were nice. Travelodge in the heart of Fort Myers has large rooms with some slightly updated appliances and moderate furnishings. Room I stayed at here was good but had an unusual odor that came from the floors; floors also had stains here and there, probably because they allow pets here for an additonal charge. I prefer the Travelodge in North Fort Myers area because the front desk service is fantastic. They are always friendly and remember customers; they even remember what room you preferred! Rooms are moderate-sized here. It's not too big or not too small. Housekeeping service is nice and consistent at both locations.

If I could give this hotel 0 stars I would. Hands down one of the most disgusting hotels I have ever stayed at. Looks nice on the outside but once you walk in it reeks of mildew and cigarette smoke. First thing we saw when we walked into our room were two bugs crawling out of the dresser, then throughout the whole night more & more bugs came crawling out. We caught the bug we then realized it was a bed bug and brought it down to the front desk which we waited 15 minutes to even talk to anyone & when we did they said there was nothing they could do. The lady at the front desk confirmed it was a bed bug. We asked for a cleaning lady and none of them were here. Do not stay here!

We had the worst experience. There were no towels in our room and when we asked for towels we got told they were "coming". We had some where we needed to be so after we showered we had to use hand towels and pool towels to dry off. We asked for towels 3 times. And finally left the hotel at 6:30, still no towels in our room. There also was no plug for the drain in the tub so we had to use a pool towel to plug the drain to give our kids a bath. The pool was freezing. The staff was rude. I will give it one star only because I cant give it less than that.

The rooms were spacious and clean. Considering it was Spring Break when we stayed it was fairly quiet. However, the pool was closed for maintenance which was a bummer but that's life. Breakfast choices weren't that great but the area was kept stocked and clean!

Deserves ZERO stars. This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. EVER! It actually Looks nice from the outside. But it’s a total dump. Room was gross and smelled like stale cigarettes and mold. There were long black hairs on the sheets and in the bathroom. The front desk guy said they contracted out the cleaning services, which means they didn’t do any cleaning! It’s almost as if the management went out of their way to make this place even worse. Seriously! Do NOT stay here! It’s a freaking dump. Better off Sleeping in your car… or on the street.

Late night check-in was painless. Pleasant clerk. Exterior and reception area have been renovated. Hallways, carpets, threadbare. Room and bed we're fine but bathroom was sub-par. Loose faucets, barely adequet water pressure.

Looks nice from the outside. Room was gross. Had to have housekeeping change bed sheets due to hair on the sheets. A lot of people standing around outside.

There are no elevators for the second floor, complicated if you bring a lot of luggage or people with disabilities.

If I could put a zero I would. Do not stay here this place is a dirty and disgusting. Im only here cause my boss is trying to save money. You would be better of sleeping outside in your car. At least they have cockroaches to great you when you go to the bathroom. I am not going to sleep under the sheets at all. Some hotels just need to be shut down due to lack of pride of their establishment and lack of cleanliness. I cant wait to go back to texas and get the hell out of here.

Rooms: Rooms are the average 2-star hotel rooms, either smoking or non-smoking and pets or no pets. Basic ammenties like soap, shampoo, conditioner and Wi-Fi are provided. A/C fan included. Sink is located outside the bathroom, which I felt was odd. What fellow guests were like: 50/50 split between individual travelers and couples vs. Families with kids. Some guests only spoke Spanish. Most of the staff spoke either Spanish or were bilingual with English Location: On a main road (US 41) located near many shopping locations, a mall, many restaurants and bars. Nothing high-end however. Service: Sub-par compared to many hotels in its star and price range. Beware if you pay in cash, as the deposit is given back with a receipt, which the provider before me did not provide (only the electronic room keys). After much sass from the employee, I showed my I'D and room card and was given my despot back without an apology from her. Notes: Previous reviews cite seeing bugs which I did not experience but still do not doubt it after my stay. One review cited "an obese racist female who I believe is the same woman who gave me issues with my cash deposit. I didn't have an pets as with their case, but claimed I needed a receipt, which was never given. I included this part as it seems if you get this woman she'll find any excuse to swindle you out of your deposit.

Desk clerks are amazingly friendly and helpful. Maid service leaves a lot to be desired and prices are very inconsistent with the accommodations. All in all a 2 star at best for accommodations.

Do not think to stay in this House of Terror… The attention is lousy and the rooms are not what they show the photos on the Internet.

Filthy room. I asked front desk for a quick clean and was hung up on. I called again was hung up on again. They wouldn't even bring me a broom. Hair on shower walls. Feces. Behind toilet paper roll. Needed "Pet friendly room b/o my lap dog so stayed overnight. No lock back door didn't even close properly.

House keeping respected our request. Breakfast area very neat and clean. Front desk very personable.

This stay was a complete disaster. This hotel is the most disgusting place to stay at. When you first arrive you think is nice but then you see the reality. The hallways smell like rotten milk/feces, the rooms are extremely old and dirty. We encounter 3 live roaches on the wall and a dead one on the bed, the headboard fell completely off the wall and the bathroom had black long hair everywhere. Nonetheless, there are some creepy people walking around the hallways and the parking lot. Stay away! Do no waste your money please. I repeat keep away from this nasty hotel.

The breakfast was good.

The motel looks very neat from the outside. But indoors, not at all.
The front desk staff was not very friendly.
Even the Tepichboden to the 1stock is dirty and spotty.
The furniture is outdated and not very appealing. The mattresses were ok.
We only walked with shoes even in the bathroom as the floor was also spotty.
Even one night is too many. Once and not again. We wanted to stay near the airport but there are better hotels.
Breakfast was self-service. Plastic tableware and cutlery. Not much choice. But worst of all were some guests, were very dingy and very loud and a guest had a sleepsuit on. We left the breakfast room very quickly.

It was all right, an average service. Nothing extraordinary but also nothing too typical. Rooms were clean and service was great. Location wasn't a factor for me so I was all right.

The service at the front desk was excellent and that was all that was good. I had to stay in the back building do to the hotel being booked. It's were laborer stay they said. It smelled like pot on the whole floor. The hot water didn't work in either of the two room and the air-conditioner didn't work.

DON'T COME HERE! Horrible accommodations. Filthy rooms, terrible service. Not acceptable or safe for a family.

Only stay here as a last resort. My cousin and I stayed here from October 6th to October 8th. For two nights the price wasn't bad but I wouldn't recommend staying there. The lady at the front desk at night seemed like she didn't want to be there. The rooms have a musky smell and the bathrooms are small. My cousin was bit by bed bugs and Daphne the manager refuses to refund our stay even though I have pictures of the bites. They claimed to have maintenance check it out but I don't know how true that is since they also have someone staying in that same room. The website also leaves out information about payment methods and there is $100 deposit if you end up having to pay cash.

Marijuana, cigarette, hab. Very bad smell, the horrible hallway, muyyyy horror the House of Horror… people with very bad looks altered not if with alcohol or anything else…

Good place to spend the night if you are on your way.

I had a reservation for September 21st, which was cancelled through Expedia on September 14th and I have the document to prove it. This hotel charged my credit card for the night of the 21st anyway. When my credit card company called them, they claimed that I actually did stay there, even though I didn't. The nasty woman we spoke to is delusional. So BEWARE! These people will charge you for a cancelled reservation even if it was cancelled according to their policy and you have proof that it was cancelled. The woman at Travel Lodge was arrogant and condescending claiming that since their computer showed that I stayed there — I stayed there. These people are absolutely dishonest liars. DO NOT give then access to your credit card number. Finally, the nasty woman decided she couldn't perpetuate her big lie and refunded my money. Even though she owed me an apology, she didn't have the ounce of class required to give it to me. Just like her scuzzy roach hotel, she is scum of the earth.

Was this cockroach a paying guest. Worst hotel ever. Roaches, bed bugs, drugs and pimps and hoes. Charged me 760.00 for a wkly rate because they knew it was Irma related. Scum bumb place and staff is a joke. I don't even want to give a star. Do not stay here. I work at the Hilton but because I have 2 pits this was only option for us… NEVER EVER AGAIN.

Stay here with family for a week. Very nice place. Free breakfast. Staff was great. No complaints here.

I called a couple of days before I made a reservation and asked the front desk person when do they swipe my card for payment, I was assured it was at checkout and that there was also a 100 dollar deposit. I booked two days at the hotel. When I arrived the pool was down and they failed to notify me. Having worked in the hotel industry for over 10 years that's a big no no, but it gets much worse. I make note to inform the front desk person that was not a great thing seeing how I planned to spend most of my day at the pool, she didn't even bother to apologize and when we went to check in she swiped my card and tell me it was declined. I knew I was getting payed that very night and so my card was declined I inform her of what I was told over the phone and I ask for a manager. She got upset right away and went ahead to disrespect my boyfriend and I by saying "Who checks into A HOTEL WITHOUT PAYING" needless to say I have never in my life been treated that way by anyone and specially not by someone who's whole job revolves around customer service. needless to say I will never go to a travelodge again.

The Worst Customer Service Hands Down! this literally takes the cake. Never in my life have I ever experienced this. I had an issues that could've been simply handled but instead I was handled with disrespect and Discrimination the lady at the front desk whose name was Liz, Was beyond rude, and when I filed a complaint on the way I was treated I then had the 'General Manager' Call me in retaliation and curse me out instead of resolving the problem, and I wish I would've got her name, But I promise I won't EVER go there again. I called corporate and they just said they'll call me back and never did. If this is how this company treats their Customers then I won't partake and any business with them.

Hotel staff seemed nice, and entrance is nice as well, but as soon as we walked into our room I immediately noticed roaches on the walls! I killed one and not even a few minutes later I killed another one I'm now down 5 cockroaches and dreading the rest of the night. Room looks clean and smells clean but honestly I can't get over the cockroaches FYI the AC unit has mold as well! Thankfully this is a one night stay only, and unfortunately my last in this location. Please read reviews before booking room and make sure it's definitely something you want to pay for! Only reason I'm giving it two stars is because this place has real potential it just really needs some TLC!

This place has bed bugs! The room is nasty. It smells old and musty. Old dirty gross! The hallway smells really bad. When you first pull up it doesn't look too bad. Walk inside not to bad. Walk to your room and the smell hits you as soon as you enter the hallway. They pull $50 off your card as a security deposit just in case anything happens to the room. This was never told to me before booking the room. The only good is the pool.

The shower had lots of rust in it, and it has obviously not been cleaned before I checked in because there was someone else's hair in the shower. The toilet runs, and the cleaning staff swear a lot. Not that I get offended by swearing, but there's families here with young children staying here too, and if I were running a business I wouldn't want my staff using profanity within an earshot of customers.

Breakfast was not that great. I'd probably pick a different place next time.

Room and bathroom was indeed borderline for the price but compared to other ok. Breakfast includes waffles, toast and cereal.

This was the worst hotel that have ever had. Dirty smells like cat pee in the hallway. And burns in the carpet in the room and the beds still remains of predecessor. Is still no $10 worth. Keep hands away. Other guests had complained. Sind that night still arrival traveled further.

I called to book a room for the next day, was on hold for 5 minutes. Young man who I spoke with was VERY RUDE! He told me to call back tomorrow. I asked him for the nightly rate he had a very snotty attitude!

My stay was not a great one no coffee in the room, iron or ironing board. No Wi-Fi in the rooms, and to top it off stains on the sheets. We expect more of travelodge.

Priceline recommended the stay! The hotel is infested with roaches! We were in it for 30 minutes and it felt like we in the American horror hotel. The room has a smell of death. We left the hotel demanded our money back and they could only offer another room. Watch American horror hotel, it's the same place!

The staff was extremely helpful. The room was clean and if you book a room online it was the cheapest in town. It was a great night. Loved the pool!

It was horible. There was BED BUGS. This is a real review. When we confronted the office they sent an inspector. They said it was clear. Later we found more. Took them to the office. Then the inspector came back in and found an infestation, when I asked for the names so I could file a lawsuit for neglagence they kicked us out at 3 am. Whatever you do do not stay at this location.

“"DISGUSTING hotel " even $33 was TOO much to pay” I'm a college student attending FGCU and I needed a place to stay for 4 days or until my apt was ready. I went on priceline and made a bid of $25 per night, my offer was declined and priceline came back with an counter offer of $33. The room was DISGUSTING!. The mattress smelled of URINE, there was a ROACH crawling on the wall and the INTERNET is horrible. I'm a guy and can stomach just about anything, however after seeing the roach Travelodge breakfast was just not one of them. I checked out and slept in my RAV4.

Just terrible. The only saving grace was they gave me my money back for the days I booked and checked out early. Room was dirty, smelly, and for gods sake had a tube tv. I haven't seen a zenith TV in over 10 years.

You get what you pay for, so the person (Stephanie) working the desk was very helpful and pretty personable. It's a cheap chain motel, so don't expect it to be very clean. The carpet especially is suspect, sticky literally slightly sticky carpet. But for the price, it's hard to complain too hard. The bathroom is fine the ac works good and the bed sheets were clean. So the basics, and a little ruff around the edges.

We really enjoyed this vacation and the pool here helped my kids learn how to swim. The staff was very nice and polite.

I was apprehensive after booking 2 nights here and then reading these reviews. I was pleasantly surprised to find my room was very clean. The carpet looked fairly new, the tiled bathroom was nice, and there was a flatscreen TV mounted on the wall. The room was much larger than I had expected. The size of the towels was disappointing, but I had my own to use. The king size bed was slightly lumpy, but that was expected. The biggest problem I had was the deposit that they don't tell you about. It is a $100 deposit and gets added to your card, even if your stay was already prepaid. In my case, he 'forgot' I prepaid and charged my card another $285! I did get that all back, but I have never had to pay a deposit before. Overall, a good stay despite the expensive deposit. I would stay here again.

Impossible room has air as the only window is fixed. Home more than questionable. Not very clean. No chocolate at breakfast. Lack of furniture in the rooms. Super zero. N don't go.

This Hotel is the WORST hotel for customer service you call to make a reservation and they guarantee you a room and guess what you arrive and oops! they do not have your reservation! So if you are a tourist and have no where to go guess what the front desk clerk by the name of Duffy was the rudest person you can ever speak to! HORRIBLE! BY the way she doesn't want anyone to make a reservation through her.

I cannot believe that this hotel still have 20th century TV sets, come on guys renew those old set. Hotel has great location big parking lot and that's about it. It's old and stinking.

The bed was comfortable. That was the ONLY good thing about it. It stunk. Even the shower head was filthy, and I couldn't get hot water. The maid staff appeared to have used my non-smoking room to smoke in the bathroom while I wasn't there, because it reaked of smoke. It stunk. It was dirty. The halls stunk. We had a plumbing problem and had to get a place quickly to help us over the weekend. I am ASHAMED that someone represents my town with this filthy hole.

Its location is good (along U. S. Hwy. 41, in the heart of the town, with lots of restaurants and stores, nearby) and bad (not too close to Interstate Hwy. 75). We liked the clean, neat appearance of the lobby and room. We liked the price (about $54.00, after tax). We liked the numerous free breakfast items (starting, conveniently at 6:00 am). Really, with all of the value, I suppose there is nothing we did not like. rjt.

This hotel was the worse. It was stinky, dirty and just plain nasty. The room and bathroom had holes in the walls. They had been patched but not repainted. So there was white patches through-out the room and bathroom. The carpet. Oh my. I was scared to take my shoes off. It was so dirty and slick there is no telling what bacteria was living within. The bathroom was so nasty I didn't even shower! The caulk around the tub was mildew stained and just gross. There was a empty toilet paper roll hanging on the roll. Clearly the housekeeping staff didn't do their job getting this room ready. The room had an old box TV and old bed linens. I stayed there after my sons baseball game and was honestly scared to stay there alone. The door looked like it had been broken into and was patched up. The room was just plain disgusting! The next morning I checkout out at 7:00am, making my stay an entire 4 hours. I couldn't even sleep I was so ready to get out of there and back on the road. Upon checking out I stopped in to get some coffee and the "breakfast bar". Ok seriously. This was even more absurd. They offered coffee, juice, rice crispies, toast and muffins. This was sad. They didn't even have coffee creamer. I had to use the milk for the cereal. Never again! Even a homeless person would be appalled at these accommodations. Don't waste your money.

By far, this is the stinkiest Motel I have ever stayed at. I reported to the front desk that my room was never being vacuumed over the 2 week stay. Still they never did anything. The carpets and the old stinky furniture was sickening. It's unfortunate they do not monitor the cleaning staff's work and the cleaning staff does not do anything that the front desk recommends. On one occasion I came back to my room to find the pillows propped up on the spare bed beside the TV remote, which I always left on the TV. Obviously the cleaning staff are not doing their job. Also the hallways smelled like barf on several occasions. This lack of cleanliness and the old stinky furniture prevents it from ever being a decent place to stay.

This was the worst hotel experience. We read the reviews on expedia and they looked fine to stay here. The hotel pictures are very deceiving. The hotel is old and not up to date. The hotel beds are not comfortable. The breakfast offered was not much at all. My son fell taking a shower. I went to the front desk and asked for a baggie to put ice in. They did not fill out an incident report. He is bruised pretty bad on his side from falling. It was due to being slippery tub. I investigated it after the fall. We ended up checking out a day early and finding another hotel because we were so disappointed in the hotel.

Since our room was near the lobby was you could tell the ringhörigkeit the zimmerwir were about half-past 8 already awake. Otherwise, clean rooms, and it was even warm water.

We spent 2 nights here and found it to be relatively good. Anyway, everything was clean and the nights are quiet. You get what you pay for.
