Nice people, room was clean and spacious. But pool steps need anoth good cleaning along with pool floor cleaned. Could of been from someone getting in dirty and not showering first. But all in all the deserve better than the 2 star rating.

Nothing good to say about this hotel UNLESS you like dirt, filthy bathrooms from tub to toilets, floors that have never been vacuumed, air-conditioners that don't work, unclean sheets, little to no room "lighting", horrendous smells, spiders, various "bugs, etc. Never stayed in a hotel that needs to be condemned — would rather have slept in my vehicle. Totally disgusting — not fit for a homeless person!

First off we got the wrong room. Ordered a king got 2 twins. They fixed that. Had a roach in the room. Killed it. The shower sprayed 20 direction. Took apart and fixed it. I missed they normal bright shower curtain that every other la Quinta has. The breakfast was ok. I have stayed at lots of la Quintas and this probably the worst for food. Egos are not a hot breakfast. The bed was very comfy though so that helped with the extra star.

Not too bad for the price. Renovating so it will be better. No bed bugs.

I've stayed here 6 or 7 times over the years of visiting Ft. Myers. It's quiet and well located fairly close to River District and downtown (given how sprawling Ft. Myers is) or head south and get to Sanibel easily. Lots of inexpensive eating options on Cleveland and Mel's next door is great without moving the car. Some rooms currently being remodeled but work is only during the day so it's no inconvenience. Always clean and pleasant. In a good business-centered area so I've never worried about the car or its contents.

Room is clean. Place is under construction but it was still very quiet here. Front desk guy who checked us in was very nice. Bed is super comfy! I have nothing to complain about!

No elevator! There was a room available on the ground floor but the night clerk put us on the 2nd floor and said that they might have a bottle floor available for the next nite, I went to the lobby to get another night if they had one on the bottom floor, The day shift clerk said sure we have a brand new room, He said I don't know why you was not put in this room last night, it was available! It would not have been a problem if I was healthy, But that is clearly not the case.

Very good location near a lot of places. Heated pool is so refreshing. They must be doing a bunch of refinishing while we are here. Lots of rooms are not available. Including the rm we asked for but hey we loved this place.

Well, where to begin, they're currently renovating their hotel. Didn't offer any hot breakfast, the water for the shower wasn't running right, wasn't the greatest experience. I would much rather stay somewhere else but at least they're in the middle of renovating. So they're improving, might be because of the hurricane. I would try them again but not for a year.

The manager I delt with was very nice and accommodating. I travel a lot for work and always stay in la quintas and this is by far the best customer service I have ever gotten from the many months I have stayed inside one of these hotels.

Clean rooms. They're in the process of improvements. Staff friendly. Prices too high for what they offer though. Way too high. TV and stations as well as reception good. New paint and sheets. Rugs need to be replaced. Overall a good place.

Staff went out of their way to accommodate my situation, super cool of them. Excellent people. As for the hotel… kinda run down, pool was closed, room kinda smelled like a wet dog… \_ ('-') _/

Very nice place to stay. Free breakfast. Food is fresh. Great staff! Extremely helpful and gave a great outcome on our stay.

Yes its got cockroaches over her in the rooms by the pool. The little german ones. You get what u pay for tho I guess.

We are staying here as refuge from hurricane Irma. The manager and staff have been very very gracious, supportive and helpfull. Going above and beyond to make everybody comfortable and handing out food to all the guest. I recommend this place to all. They are top of the line in my book. Many thanks.

Nice employees, but room had little to desire. There was no microwave or refrigerator. Had to pull bed away from wall to get to electric outlet then called housekeeping to sweep behind bed after seeing a very gross mess that hadn't been swept in a long time. Also learned not to walk On carpet with white socks, they turned nasty blackish. On plus side again staff was very kind and helpful, close to a lot of restaurants and shops, plus they allow pets. Also has washer and dryer area and a nice swimming pool, with plenty of lounge chairs.

The room was really nice and they had complementory breakfast. I enjoyed the pool and everyone was nice and welcoming. We stayed in at La Quinta in Tampa before and had a good experience there as well. There is a Mel's diner at visible/ walking distance (no car needed). They also accept pets for no extra charge.

This La Quinta was awful and the worst hotel I have every stayed in. *The carpet was dirty, we kept our shoes on the entire time. *The tile and tub in one bathroom (room 214) was disgusting, We showered with our shoes on. *The stagnant water from the air conditioner had a smell and was gross. *A live roach was found in rm 106 on the bathroom counter. *One of our relatives to change room because they stated that it smell like someone has recently defecated in the bathroom. *Due to the conditions of the hotel we did not partake of your complimentary breakfast, and choose to eat McDonalds. Pick another hotel PLEASE!

Cool if you are looking to just come to Ft Myers for cheap. Room smelled like cigarette smell EVERYWHERE and the overall area seems a bit dirty.

Roach motel — they check in but never check out… I'm only giving this location 2 stars due to the AC that kept the room cool and pillows that were a real size instead of those small ones so many hotels are changing to. Do NOT use this hotel unless you want to sleep with the roaches. There were so many every day we almost had to start naming them. I have no idea how this location is even still open or if the health department is corrupt here because they were so common every day we showed up for the evening. We only remained here due to no time or energy to change hotels. Also didn't try and change rooms because if they are in one, they're all over so a new room wouldn't do anything to solve the problem. LaQ needs to revoke their name from the franchisee as it's apparent he or she is incapable of controlling the roach problem. I'm probably going to have to boil all our clothes upon returning home to make sure there are no roach larvae hitching a ride back to our house. As a plus, the AC was great, beds were decent and the soap they give is bigger than a chip of others we've stayed in.

This place is awful I had my room changed twice due to loud noise. Drinking, prositution and gun shoots at night… The breakfast is cold and awful. Key card never works had to replace it 4 times. The room smells badly ac vent air smells badly. Carpets are disgusting. Everything is disgusting about this place… they need to close it down permanently you have people living in them that are ghetto. Bad. This was an awful experience for my daughter and I. We did not feel safe.

Cockroaches, hole in the bathroom wall (literaly), door lock on bathroom door was installed to lock people IN the bathroom instead of keeping people out, smelled of weed, loud neighbors, holes in the curtains, peeling paint, poorly staffed, managers not working half the time when you call and noone else can do anything, location you can only get to by doing a u-turn on a busy street, but on a good note a place near by named Margaritas had great food and Mel's was decent too. Within walking distance of shops and restaurants. Beds are comfortable plenty of towels, actual hangers in a small closet, mini fridge, air conditioning works.

I stayed here after checking out of a roach infected hotel. I worked over night while I was in town so I was told they would help me out and let me check in in the morning. When I went to check in at 8am, the night shift didn't leave the message to morning shift and I had to drive to my sister's at Naples just to sleep. When I came to check in that night, they wanted me to pay even after my boss left his payment information to take care of it. So I called the next morning after my boss told me he took care of it just to hear that they still haven't processed the payment. They wanted me to call my boss to figure it out but I just told them to call him directly and figure it out themselves. I don't know why they didn't do that in the first place. Then I was told I could check out at 2 pm so I could sleep after night shift. I even confirmed that morning with the morning staff and they said yes. At 12pm, the same lady I talked to that morning was knocking on my door asking if I'm checking it. I said "yeah but I was told I can check out at 2. " She was apologetic and left me to try and sleep, which I couldn't do after that. They really need to work on their communication.

Decent for the price and centrally located in Fort Myers. Windows are very thin! The continental breakfast was one of the best I've seen in a budget hotel. Room was clean. Bathroom was a little too small.

Checked in, first room smelled of smoke and bleach. Nasty smell. Room filthy, cleaning crew definitely don't know how to clean. Room dated needs updated. Walls floor filthy. Had them give us another room, much cleaner didn't smell like smoke or bleach, but not updated. Guess LA Quinta is a cheap hotel at not cheap hotel prices. Won't be back. I travel alot and in numerous hotels in Florida. This is definitely the worst.

Horrible horrible horrible worst Laquinta I hv ever stayed in bugs everywhere if the didnt run out from under something in the day they were crawling on u in bed carpet flithy didn't dare take off socks room smelled like smoke dog and cat pee their was always someone partying or fighting little to no security staff very very rude didn't want to hear complaints I would sleep in my car first this is a GETTO hotel.

Very nasty hotel, by far one of the worst hotels Ive ever stayed in. There were cocker roaches on the wall and by my coffe manchine in my room. Also I woke up with what looked like tons of bug bites, very dirty and gross. The cleaning people dont do a very good job. Dont bring your family to this rat hole.

We stayed eight nights and found the rooms very clean and neat. We were by the pool but we did not notice any excessive noise after all it is a pool. The breakfast was standard but there was aa a a sa go.

If I could give it a negative 1, I would. The 1st room we checked into smelled very musty. The bathroom smelled like bleach. We asked for another room. That room smelled like an ash tray so I asked for a refund. I have tapped into other La Quinta hotels but this was the worst! I have to say the young lady that was working was very kind.

I have used this motel on and off for 7 years. They haven't changed any during that time. We have always had a clean room with a friendly helpful staff. I can not understand the 2.6 rating as of this post. We will continue to stay every time we end up in Ft Myers.

We had reservations. It looked ghetto from the exterior so we chose to check the room out before we unloaded car. The room smelled like wet dog and the floor wasn't vaccumed. Hair was everywhere. We jetted out that room like a strick of lightning hit us… The receptionist had flip flops on… very courteous tho… but conversation appeared uneducated. Def a place to catch crabs and bed bugs!

Got up in middle of night and turned on lamp — no joke I ciunted 40 cockroaches from the table, phone, fridge, TV to bathroom. Disgusting.

The employees all the way from the front desk down to maintenance and room service were very pleasant the entire trip. They really did help us more than anyone could ever imagine when we needed something. However, the rooms are dirty. The AC is not cold which is really difficult considering its 95 degrees outside. The bathroom is very small and there is no room to shut the door (if it does shut) for privacy because they are such a small space. We found that the room did smell and there were also some bugs. This is a hotel that holds families that are in between losing and finding a home. These people are up all night in the pool blasting music. They were not at all courteous of the guests at the hotel. There is also a man that sits outside of his room in a banana hammock thong all day and night. The rooms need updating. Owner should be putting some money into it. There should be night security because the area is very dangerous. We did see a drug deal happening in the room across from us. And there was a couple that had sex in the pool every night we were here (which was seven). Breakfast is very limited and the people that live here take most of what is available. No safe in the room. We booked through Expedia and they said that the hotel was rated at 86% and it very wrong.

Awesome place if you want to stay close to Sanibel and not pay high prices.

Front desk lacked serious customer service skills. And it wasn't just one front desk person it was several. The rooms were clean, and the beds were nice. But, I don't care how nice the facility is, if I don't get treated well. Your in the hospitality business you should be hospitable. However, the maid service was very nice. Shady characters around as well, another person staying there asked me for money to help pay for her room. I will NOT be staying again.

Not the nicest La Quinta I've stayed in but is ok for the price. Has a nice heated pool. No fridge or microwave in the room and no computer in the lobby for guests. Close to a lot of things in the Ft. Myers area.

Dirty? Yes Checked in and was informed that a room had flooded. Was not sure when it would be back on. We booked here due to having pets. The carpeting was filthy. Did not even want my dogs laying on it. Every time I was in the lobby, guests checking in were having many problems with their reservation. There were young men walking their pitbulls and feared for my dogs. Avoid this place at all costs.

We are LaQuinta Elite Rewards Members with approximately 200, 000 earned points with this chain last year, and I would estimate we have spent between $20, 000 and $30, 000 with the chain in the past year. As a chain hotel, we are dedicated, loyal, LaQuinta fans. This location — HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE! STAY HERE AT YOUR OWN RISK! We booked our reservation online as always, were phoned in advance to confirm our room request, phone later that day to confirm we would be arriving late but were in transit. Arrived and attempted to check in, paying cash as we often do, only to be told that to pay cash we would have to pay an additional $50/day "cash deposit for paying cash" in addition to our room rate. PRICE GOUGING! Our issue was resolved the following week through the corporate office but we opted to leave and pay twice as much to stay at another hotel, left the following morning when we had booked a 3 day stay. Ft. Myers, FL in general, the hotels (all of them) seem ethically challenged. I left with such a bad vibe about the place I don't plan to ever return. We've lost business. I don't care. I would never go there again.

Don't Go here unless you are TRASH. First off I read all the reviews and had mixed feelings, It seemed nice but had no idea what I was in for. We checked in about 2am after a long flight which I made reservations months prior for a king suite. We check in and have a room right in front of the pool with 2 double beds, I then called the front desk which she said I had to take care of it in the morning. So only getting about an hour of sleep because it seemed there was alot of traffic going in and out all night which seemed a lot like drug deals going on which I was afraid to even leave a rental car out in the parking lot seemed very trashy apon arrival. Then the air conditioner was broken and there was garbage on the floor from previous guests, I went down to the office to see what they can do for me ha did nothing. Wouldnt give me the room I paid for after finding out there was only one room with a king size bed would not return my money I had to fight with them for an hour. I would never in my life even recommend this place to my enemies. If you like trashy places this is for you, room smelt bad carpets are gross and you would have to be a midget to use the bathrooms.

We usually stay in nicer hotels, but this area of Ft. Myers has a bunch of these enter from outside hotels. I was sceptical. Staff was so nice! Evening front desk worker was awesome. Rooms were clean. Prices very reasonable.

I like to get away for the weekend oftentimes, and try to do it on a budget. I always choose La Quinta because they are pet friendly and usually have great rooms. This was not your typical La Quinta, however for $55 a night I surely can't complain. The rooms had older fixtures, but the decor and beds seemed to be upgraded recently. I didn't care for the out door access and my particular room was facing the pool so it was kind of hard to get to the room, especially with 2 dogs. The continental breakfast was decent with muffins, cereal, bagels, yogurt, and coffee. Overall I enjoyed my stay at this hotel and would definitely recommend it if you are looking for a low budget room.
