Staff is very attentive, rooms very clean, kitchen is fully stocked. Second time in 2 months we have stayed here.

Nice rooms without carpeting to get all nasty and smelly. Nice kitchenette. Comfortable beds. Close to all the action.

We have always had a great experience staying here. The rooms have been updated significantly since our last visit, so it was even nicer! The staff truly treats everyone like old friends, and both the ocean and river views are spectacular.

I couldn't have dreamed up a better place! It is smaller and more intimate than the larger chains, it's right on the beach! The staff is awesome and the other guests have been just as friendly! 20/10 will stay again.

Older hotel, doesn't take away from the true beach experience. Located right on the beach. Friendly staff, clean rooms, some with ocean views. Pool. Light breakfast available. Ample parking. A delight!

My husband and I checked into Beachside within minutes of leaving another hotel, where we'd had a bad experience. The clerk was super friendly and helpful, as were the other staff members. The location was fantastic with a beautiful view and very accessible. It was clean and comfortable, and I would highly recommend it to anyone.

Not a bad place for a night or 2 dont think I could sleep on this bed any longer than that. But I will say the room was very clean. So I give it a A+ for cleanliness.

8-12-18 I'm not sure of the bad reviews? YES it is an older hotel of which there are many on Daytona Beach. We chose this hotel based on view and kitchenette. Our oceanfront room 504 had been remodeled at some point. So it looked acceptable to us for the price of $76 per night. There were plenty of clean, fluffy linens in the bathroom. There were not many utensils in the kitchenette. They were enough for us two. But not for a family of four staying in this room. Beds were comfortable enough. The a/c unit was loud. But cooled the room. The microwave cart was kind of rickety and one burner on the stove did not work. There was no shower curtain in the tub/shower? The room was very quiet despite the hotel being fully booked. We used the pool. Yes on the rowdy unsupervised kids in there. Breakfast was coffee, milk, juice, bagels, cream cheese, hardboiled eggs and cold cereal. We brought food and cooked our meals in our room so we did not partake of the free breakfast. Staff was pleasant and helpful. We would stay here again! Thank you!

Cute little place in the perfect spot! Reminds you of the old mom & pop places of yesteryear. I love the small kitchenette & beach view from my 5th floor (top floor) balcony too. I will return & stay here again in the future.

Check the price — you get what you pay for, and you get a lot for 50 — 60 bucks compared with other cheap stays around.
I've never seen bed bugs or cockroaches when we've been there, but it's years ago, so I can't swear it's still this way today.

Beachside hotel is a great find. Comfy beds, kitchen, private balcony, pleasant staff, good location. Highly recommend especially if u enjoy supporting local and not franchise.

Love this place. Direct ocean front. Only 5 stories, never feels over crowded. Lots of return guests including ourselves. Heated pool, free breakfast and coffee, very clean and friendly. Best of all they let you be.

I have to say the hotel is not one I would normally stay in… BUT… The ocean view and the quiet night's, for me, outweighed the rest. Also I asked our housekeeper to attend a couple of things. When we came back, they had been done. The hotel itself is in much need of upgrades and attention in several areas. It has a ton of unused potential. The location is priceless…

It was a perfect view on daytona beach! Quiet an we had a great time it could have been cleaned better but it was a girl nites in so it was something to do. Breakfast was good as well.

We were absolutely BLOWN away. We have a large family of 6 and have to usually stay in the suites. Out of every place we have ever stayed over the years this place was the best! They were attentive to our needs, had amazing accommodations, and a good family atmosphere at an amazing price. We come to FL about 5 times per year and this is our new go-to place!

Older hotel with nice touches and friendly staff. View from balcony was gorgeous. You can tell they invest time and care into their property and rents rooms at a reasonable price. Huge room with kitchenette. Breakfast was small and basic with great coffee. We will gladly return.

Just Perfect! When you arrive and you see it on the outside you are afraid to see how small it is, the lobby and the small but very cozy breakfast area… when we entered the room (206 king size) it was excellent!. All very clean, the folder, bathroom and kitchen, has TV 40 "flat, very important to me, I did not see in my stay neither a bug in or out of the room, the balcony is perfect equipped with a table and two chairs and an ashtray, the AC quiet although I use the heating, the view is extraordinarily beautiful, the noise of the waves and the beach so close, a pool area very nice and clean, has BBQ… I was on December 31st, 2017. I can not say Somo sera in summer but in winter is very cozy and romantic… beachside has made 2 new customers, thanks! Continue with your excellent quality.

Difficulties to be understood… 6mois in advance, request Upper Room… we pick up at the 1st… personal always seem angry…

Our first and last stay at this hotel. The photos on here looked great, they are not accurate. We had reserved 3 rooms all at one time. We were assured when we reserved 3 months prior that our rooms would be at the very least on the same floor not promised side by side. Upon arrival we were on the 3rd, 4th, 5th floor. We accepted it as it was still a vacation at the beach. The furniture is outdated. Microwave was horrible asked first day for replacement. It took 3 days. View and location were perfect. Management didn't care about complaints. If management doesn't care neither does staff. We were going out one day for lunch, it was 1:00pm. While walking out the door the lady at the front desk yelled at us " check out is 11:00" This was on Wednesday. We weren't checking out until Sat. It was embarrassing. We had, do not disturb on the door. Came back from pool with staff in the room. Not cleaning — they claimed they were checking appliances.

Stayed for 3 nights, in an ocean front room on the 5th floor. Awesome view from private balcony, nice room with fully equipped kitchenette, nice staff, loved the heated pool, the complimentary breakfast, the location, and the affordable rate. Overall experience with this stay would have been 5 stars with a slight improvement in housekeeping. WOULD DEFINITELY STAY THERE AGAIN! (Pic of sunrise from our private balcony)

Nice motel. Limited amenities but good rooms. The hallways smell a little mildewy but the rooms are not. Bed was comfortable, rooms were quite clean as was the pool. Definitely will stay again, great budget option on the beach.

Quaint little rooms that you'll love. When you walk the first thing in your face is a tinted sliding door that looks like a live picture, that's hard to look away from. Has a fridge, stove, microwave, sink and all plates bowls and silverware. Yes there is a pot and pan too.

We just spent four lovely days here. Girl at the desk was so sweet and helpful when we arrived. Had an ocean view room on 2nd floor that had a balcony and awesome view of the ocean. Kitchen area with everything you need. We will definitely be back.

The GM and staff are unprofessional. The hotel is not clean. The elevator is a death trap. We checked in to room 500 and there was a very foul smell. It took us some time to determine the smell was coming from one of the double beds in the room had been previously urinated in. The bed was dry to the touch but the smell of urine was very very strong. It took 8 hours and 3 inquiries into 2 different staff to get the bed replaced. In replacing the bed the hotel staff uncovered used floss picks that had been left behind by previous guests and didn’t bother cleaning them up. After the bed had been replaced my husband and son passed the female desk clerk on duty that evening and the gentleman who checked us in the night before who were smoking outside, talking about our room issue saying they thought my son had wet the bed or we were making the whole story up because their beds were all covered with plastic to protect them. When my husband and son returned to the room and told me this I went down to speak with the staff who were still sitting out front. I approached them in a calm manner telling them I needed to set the record straight. I told them my son was 18 and had not wet the bed. The bed was dry and a wet bed would take at least a day or more to dry. We had only just arrived at the hotel the night before so it was impossible. I told them their beds are not covered in plastic and not protected.

I was very pleased with the staff, room, and location. Everyone was friendly, the room was so clean and they all have kitchenettes with a really spacious refrigerator and freezer. Skip the complimentary breakfast and cook in your room with a nicely stocked kitchen! Bring your own corkscrew. The bed is really comfy, but I suggest bringing your own pillows unless you like flat ones. We loved the view from our balcony and can't wait to go back.

We pre booked a balcony room here and when we arrived we found that we had a poolside room. That was not at all what we wanted. They were very accommodating and got us a room on the 3rd floor. The room was fantastic with a small, fully equipped kitchen. We will definitely be back.

After having a horrible day at another hotel, and having to leave with no where to go, beachside motel made sure to accomadate our large family and kids in order for us to shoot the New Symrna causeway firework show that we do every year. We can't thank them enough for their kindness in getting us a room within about 20 minutes and making sure we had enough for for the next night as well. I highly recommend them!

Great beachside motel with a heated pool and balconies overlooking the Atlantic for great sun and moonrises. Not a 4-star hotel. Friendly staff, laid back atmosphere, kitchenette in the rooms and plenty of amenities nearby. Will definitely stay here again!

I have stayed from Daytona Beach Shores to Ormond and enjoyed our state at BeachSide more than any we have been… Clean as a pin, front desk is professional but helpful… they were the best. Couldn't have been nicer… breakfast every morning. Free newspaper every morning… and housekeeping was great… you didn't have to beg for towels. Just can't say enough about the front desk. So nice… Best of all. No pets…

Locations was perfect, it is beachside with a pool area, and stairs that lead directly to the beach. Rooms were decent, standard 2 double bed configs. Or suites. Service was slightly lackluster (particularly room service/ cleaning staff) but overall it was bearable.

For the price this little guy in a land of giant towers is totally worth. From the outside it looks a little beat up, and the pool wasn't the nicest. But who cares when your oceanfront view. Rooms were nice, and clean, not as dated as I expected from the exterior. Great location, friendly staff.

On 5/28/ 2016 I had a problem with the air-conditioning not cooling the room that I was in And requested a replacement or something to be done to cool the room.

I have stayed at this motel and I have reserved three rooms. One of the room has a problem with the air conditioner and the front desk refused to give us another room. Moreover, all rooms had a very bad smell. Please go and check my name in December list and if you didn't find it I will send you my reservation. I challenge you!

As soon as I arrived with my family I was greeted with a pleasant smile and welcoming hello. I asked the receptionist if I can change my room once I check in and give it the "look over". She then offered to take me to every available ocean front room and have me personally choose the one Ilike best. Very rare! The hotel is DETAILED CLEAN. I definately will stay the next time I come out here. The entire staff is so sweet and helpful. Beachside motel is the reflection of great service and a quality stay for a phenomenal rate.

Had our first stay here but it will not be our last! We loved it. Awesome beach view, quiet and very clean room. Tons of hot water and excellent water pressure in the shower. My daughter loved the heated pool. :) Kayla made is feel right at home when we checked in. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Was an most enjoyable stay. The staff overly friendly and helpfuf. The big chain hotels could take some lessons from this place. It wasn't butt kissing but genuine sincere customer service all the way. Wouldn't stay anywhere else. Most of all CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN my wife kept saying how clean it was. We loved the balcony overlooking the beach.

We enjoyed our stay — First week they never dust, bathroom not made every day — I even had to make it myself because it was dirty. But on second week of vacation we had Debby to clean the room and we were satisfied. The staff is fine — Will, Jeff are nice. Just hope new administration will make a good job, changing some mattress that are not comfortable for the price asked. I would recommend this hotel since we have been there before and it is a pleasant place to stay. They should add more dishes and pots in the kitchinette to make cooking. 8.4 rate is to high — I would give a 6.5 rate three stars.

We stayed as two couples in September of last year for two nights. The rooms were clean and quiet. We had a super view of the ocean and the price was very affordable. Check out the amenities and you will see what a bargain this place is. We can't wait to come back again.

Once was enough, came for race week. The owner should really think about its staff and its policy on open drug use, Manager and a small woman employee both exited a restroom behind the front desk, both of them had white powder on their face, came out welcoming my family all bug eyed and talking a million miles an hour, I came to bring my family to race week, I just expected better from a hotel staff that had decent ratings not to be drugged out while im checking in. I was sierously disappointed, maybe the owner should honestly think about drug urinalysis before hiring staff. Will "Manager of facility has a record a mile long including dui's and drug possesions. " Honestly I was expecting much more hospitality when I stayed, The staff here had there own priorities and their customers was the last on their agenda. Im apologize for the bad criticism but I wouldnt pay any money in the world to stay there again. I was afraid to make this response upon repercussions but I believe people should know.

We spent five nights at Beachside and enjoyed our stay. Will, Jeff and rest of staff were very nice and fun to talk to. Loved being right on the beach and being able to open patio door and listen to ocean crash ashore. Room was fairly large with full size stove and refrigerator along with microwave. Two things that could be fixed are the need for more electric outlets — none in the kitchen area — (the bed side lamps with two outlets helped) and the carpet really need a good cleaning (maybe after spring break! ). Normally we fix our breakfast in rooms with kitchen but didn't this trip but certainly could have. It is an older property but with many updates. Thanks for the great time.

For the price of the suite it was worth it but the facility needs a Major upgrade. All the reviews I read were completely true. The place is moldy n smelly. The air conditioner and or refrigerator leaked water onto the carpet increasing the smell. I had to leave the balcony door open in order to breath properly. I practically used a whole can of Lysol to combat the smell. If u have allergies this would not be the place for u. Kathy the front desk receptionist was awesome. The ocean view was nice n the hotel was clean. If u can handle the smell this hotel is worth the price.

Spring Break 2013. Staff was very courteous and went out of their way to keep the place clean and provide good customer service. Facilities are a bit dated and could use an upgrade, but cleanliness and customer service more than made up for it.

This place is fantastic! Christine and the manager Tiffany are just wonderful! The place was nice and clean and the balcony had a great view of the pool and beach! Not far from entertainment and just the best overall experience! Thanks ladies for making this a fantastic stay at a wonderful place.
