We had fun most of the time but there were some things we didn't like and had some issues with staff. Stayed at Rumfish. The bar service is usually very slow and I was completely ignored by one bartender for almost 30 minutes. They weren't even busy when I was ignored. I went off on the guy about ignoring me. The prices at the bar are extremely high for what you get. The cost for anything at the resort is extremely high… food, drinks, snacks, souvenirs etc. The pools should be open 24 hours, at least for adults. They close the cabanas on the beach way too early. Food and drink service to cabanas is a pain in the butt so no one really does it. There were other issues but I don't want to turn this to a huge complaint review because I'm not that way. We were looking for a place to go every year but unfortunately I don't think this will be the place. When we first arrived we were hopeful it would be but we don't think it will be after staying 9 days. One other thing important to mention… we seen on a few different occasions that people who were obviously well known repeat customers could get away with things that everyone else couldn't. They were treated much differently and NEVER waited for a drink at the bar.

Dirty pools. Incompetent staff. They charge you leg and arm for everything. Food sucks. Rooms are tiny. Money sucker place. A hyped up “motel 6” A zoo not a resort Stay away.

We visit the poolside bar they have great service, a good hummus plate, and great drinks.

I will say the staff is Amazing, very sweet. Other than that, a waste of money. Tiki bar closed at 10 when we were told 2am. Game room was closed when we went at 5, hours are 9am-9pm. DO NOT DO THE GARBAGE TIME SHARE CRAP! we were lied to, didn't get the voucher we were promised, and these people didn't care at all. THEY are the reason we will never be back.

Do not recommend. From looking at the website and others photos I expected a much different experience than what we got. Felt run down. We did have a standard room on the 6th floor but it did not feel clean especially the bathroom having some mold. For the money I expected something different plus the hefty resort fee I felt was not warranted when several activities were unavailable or required extra money. The food we got from several of the restaurants were not good at all including just plain chicken strips. Also being on the 6th floor both elevators went out which was a huge pain especially with having little kids. The beach cabanas we were given were all shredded and kept falling down. Pools advertised as heated but definitely not. The only staff who I felt was courteous was the bell boy. We had an ok time but will not stay again.

We go every year and have such a great time. So much to do onsite and close to plenty of places if you want to walk to more food. Every single employee is awesome especially Miss Kiki at the Kids Adventure center!

For the price, this hotel is not worth it. Parking is horrible, rooms are old and dated, in room towels are cheap and thin, ordered food from the bar next to one of the pools and it was disgusting. The ONLY thing this property has going for its self is being right on the beach. Do not recommend!

Not happy! After you arrive and pay all the crazy expensive room fees they don’t give a nuts about you. Service room is great! But manager Christian doesn’t care about anyone. We witnessed a lady almost lost her arm and all our kids unfortunately witnessed that too. Took me 10 min to find someone to help us with all the blood. My wife she was knock in the head they don’t even ask how she was doing. We still here and have another 4 days to go. Not happy. * All too expensive too.

This is a very nice room, except for the sea view room, which is very nice. It is an emotional room.

Just arrived and waiting on our room and met Claire lobby bartender! She is awesome and enjoyed talking to her! She is the best! Great drinks too!

While the beach and some amenities were amazing, this place is extremely outdated and dirty, especially considering the cost. I do not recommend and will not return.

Great location and great hotel!

We just returned from a great family vacation. There is plenty of activities for everyone to do regularly. The place is very clean and staff was very helpful and kind. However, the rooms were a little dated and I feel like it was extremely expensive for what you get. Yes SOME activities are included, but no food or drinks. EVERY meal for a family of 5 was over $100. So that really added up quickly.

Rooms and property are worn. Staff is rude and unhelpful. Very unsatisfactory for any service industry operation let alone for the price.

I was hired as a DJ for a wedding reception. Food was great and staff was easy to work with and did a great job.

Went there for a wedding and it was beautiful Staff was very attentive and guests enjoyed themselves.

My husband and I recently got married here. What a dream our wedding was! Our wedding coordinator Cherish was a doll. Jim, Kim & Meghan were so helpful during my entire process of planning for the menus and rooms. Andy was the best bartender EVER. He is the MAN! If you’re looking for a place to get married… stop looking. This place is the one. Your guests will be amazed. So much to do! Thank you Tradewinds for the most beautiful wedding! We will be back ❤️

There is plenty to do but wow were we disappointed! The suite was hardly that! A motel room at best with tiny bathroom and tiny den. NOTHING about our accommodations felt resort-ish. This place is so dated! For what we paid, it was a total rip off! Management did not work with us at all! The website is total false advertisement! The ONLY positive thing I can post is the restaurant staff and food was very nice and delicious. (expensive but good) The grounds were okay but again, NOT what you expect from a resort. Save your money and go elsewhere. We will return to St Pete Beach but never to TradeWinds Island Grand.

We just left here and had a great time. Room service came in everyday and cleaned our room. Our kids (teens) loved having Pizza Hut right on the property. They also loved the slide. We ate at the Flying Bridge restaurant a couple of times and thought it was decent. The deli in the lobby made some fresh, delicious sandwiches. We visited the bars for some yummy drinks and the bartenders did not skimp on the liquor! ;) The staff was so friendly, kind, and helpful. We loved that you could help yourself to iced cold water when hanging by the pool. The staff put out umbrellas to use during a rainstorm. We did not have a car and loved that there was so much within walking distance. I know some reviews say the room was infestated with cockroaches, but we had two rooms and never saw a single bug. We would love to go back!

Anywhere other than the trade winds. It was absolutely awful service and put me right next to the construction when the property was not fully booked. Definitely can tell the staff is not treated well by management and it reflects in service. Food for an event was mislabeled causing an allergy issue which made a staff member cry and offer no assistance to the patron. The manager got mad at us the guests for the staff crying. It was an absolute mess.

Nice clean rooms and service was excellent! Lots of activities to do as well. Restaurants were great as well!

Nice place and friendly staff. Would definitely recommend this place. The spa is wonderful too! Beware of the lady that runs the dolphin tour! She's rude and abrasive and lacks a general respect for people. She and her father are third party vendors that do a dolphin tour and rent beach equipment from a hut on the beach that is marked by an American flag! I didn't let our very negative experience with her effect the rating since they are third party but there are very pleasant guys in huts renting the same stuff just down the beach in front of the circle shaped hotel. Definitely worth walking a touch further for great service and yo avoid contribution to the wallet of such an awful and rude person!

Stayed here for 5 days and my fiancé and I absolutely loved it. Lots of restaurants, bars, and entertainment all on site. The daily free cabana on the beach was a really nice aspect of the place considering it’s about $40 a day to rent those anywhere else. All the staff was very friendly and professional. The room we stayed in was very nice as well. My only complaint is the lack of patios in the building we stayed in. Some of the other rooms had patios, but most of them did not. Other than that it’s an absolutely incredible place to stay if your vacationing in St. Pete.

One of the best complex resorts on St Pete Beach. Variety of bars and restaurants all in walking distance on top of what the resort has to offer. Check out Guy Harvey's when you tire of the beach and all the activities Trade Winds has. As a local we go there often to enjoy the beach and party atmosphere. Excellent food an service during season and out.

I love the serenity, beauty, cleanliness, overall customer service. My only moment of disappointment… was after an entire day of the travel agenda, baggage pick up, waiting for our cab and the lack of transportation to our destination, that was unfortunately a 2 1/2 hour wait for our room availability. Once we were able to ditch the baggage, change our 12 hours of travel clothes and finally lock our door leave the day behind, begin our vacation and hit the beach… all was perfect. I love the ample swim area and an all adult swim and tan area, the food was always freshly prepared & a large variety. Keep in mind, & remember you are on a vacation and are being serviced above & beyond expectation, so expect to pay the price. Especially if you plan to travel, site see, participate in para-sailing, jet-ski, or other vacationing activities (theme parks… etc) I recommend to multiply your budget x’s 2, so you won’t come up short on cash to really enjoy all the activities there are to experience. And lastly, I would do your research online and take the best prices you find to a travel agency and go through them to beat the best of your prices, prepare & plan your trip, plus… find you as many perks & discounts offered during the time of your stay. I would recommend this particular resort for it’s room sizes, efficiencies, amenities, kitchenette, family room, cable, or you can go small if necessary.

We got back from TradeWinds yesterday. It was amazing! The resort is beautiful and has everything you could possibly need. The activities for kids are amazing (the DJ at the pool is great). Great food and amazing staff! Check in was easy and the employees were so sweet! The spa was incredible! I got swimmers ear and went to Beakers (small gift shop) to see if they had medicine. That shop didn’t (another did) but Josephine let me use some alcohol from behind the counter, taught me what to do, and was so caring. Also, the cleaning service was just perfect! Ask for Melissa, not only does she do an amazing job on your room, she takes the time to give you tips for navigating the resort. Honestly, every person I spoke to was awesome! I definitely recommend TradeWinds! We had the best time!

Really, really nice resort. Beautiful beach, lots of amenities to entertain you. Top quality restaurants, the Rum Fish is beyond belief. All of the staff was professional, very friendly and helpful from the time we stepped out of the car on day one although the five days we were there. The Sunrise sandwich from the Country Store in the lobby is the best breakfast crusant I've ever had. Our room /suite was beautiful and housekeeping really did a superb job.

The rooms were large enough for my family of six, great view, and the room was clean. Had two five year olds and there was enough activities to keep them busy with crafts, and the slide. The activities are extra but most were worth it. The touch a sea creature was not the large as expected. Memorial Day BBQ was great, food and deserts were good. They kept the kids busy. There were enough pools when it was busy. The beach setup was nice. Would go back!

This is a cool spot to stay. Lots of activities and things to do. They have many polls and hot tubs to choose from. Dj’s at some of them during the day which is nice to have and enjoy. They even have adult pools 18+ so you can enjoy down time. Room was nice and clean had a great view. Beautiful sunsets here! Palm court was probably the highlight a few nights. Loved eating there great service and knowledgeable staff. Food is amazing. Lots of other choices for food for friends and family. Staff was very friendly.

Trade winds is a great conference center and hotel. Very comfortable rooms and friendly staff. The ocean view is top notch. Live music at the tiki bar is fun, too. I recommend staying here!

Very beautiful and meticulously maintained. Our housekeeper Monique C. T. Was amazing courteous and very particular. I asked her for a sponge to wash a pan and she insisted on me leaving all dishes and pans and she would clean them. I truly appreciated it, but have we become so lazy that the cleaning people are trained to clean our dishes. Not how I was raised, on vacation or not. My choice is Trade Winds Resort over Guy Harvey. Trade Winds over exceeds my expectations.

The door to our room was busted & required us to SLAM it to shut. Maintenance was informed & were supposed to come up & fix it, but never showed. The swinging latch thing also malfunctioned because of this, managing to lock us out of our room the first night. So while my ladyfriend & her son were walking the beach after a long day of travel, I had the pleasure of waiting in the room for maintenance to fix that. There are very few amenities & everything on the resort is ridiculously priced. The staff, though, were great & certainly did their best to accommodate everyone.

The only place we ever go for vacation. St. Pete has the best beach vibe, friendly locals, awesome local joints, fun beach bars, and amazing key lime pie! TradeWinds is centrally located, clean, fun, hospitable staff, great spa and gym facilities. Cannot say enough! We've already booked our next 2 trips!

We had a fabulous time staying at the resort. The rooms were perfect in size for the 5 of us. The weather was perfect. The entertainment was awesome. I rated a 4 star only because it was so expensive to stay and eat at the resort. I recommend eating in town rather than the hotel. Overall this was a fantastic visit.

Everyone here is so nice and accommodating. Some of my all time favorite people here are : SPA — in the bodywork spa are MONICA — she gives amazing massages. (saw her two times this visit). And PAM at their front desk is so nice. She makes you feel so welcome. I look forward to return visits. EATING — you have to go to the FLYING BRIDGE and meet HEATHER, DEBBIE and LORI. They are amazing, friendly and make your eating very enjoyable. I need to give props to CHEF ANTONIO and others for making amazing food. Great place to grab a quick bite to eat and still enjoy your vacation surroundings. Both are must's.

Very nice place, it has lots of activities for kids to do, alongside everything the private beach does. Some rooms are a little outdated, but nonetheless good, as everything you will be doing is not in the hotel room. Staff is very nice and welcoming. The beach at some points is very rough on your feet due to all the shells being crushed during hurricanes and dredging the sand back to nurture the beach back to its pre-hurricane state. TradeWinds overall is a generally nice place to stay, not to crowded, and is a pleasant experience where ever you go.

Pretty cool resort. Great for the kids. Service was great and atmosphere exciting. It was just old. Feel like they need to do some remodeling. And the quality of food at some of the places was poor.

Online pictures are defiantly better than the actual resort. Rooms were a bit old and outdated. Not a good place to travel in March, it was windy and cold, not a lot of people were actually out on the beach. People kept trying to sale timeshares even after a million "No thank you's". Food at the resort was pricey, we went to nearby restaurants that were much cheaper and food taste better. We shortened our stay from 4 nights to 2 nights. Not worth over $300 a night. Staff however was very friendly and helpful except the bellhops and front desk.

From the moment you arrive on campus to the last minute, everyone who works there exudes a true appreciation for your being there, and seem to strive to make your stay the best it can be. Although traveling alone, my room was sufficient in size for 4 people. One upgrade I would recommend is making sure that the plugs in the wall hold any device's cord, as a few in my room seemed to let the plug fall out. Just a simple upgrade to "TR" plugs would be great.

My family stayed here for a week and it was such a great atmosphere. The staff was friendly, the rooms are great and tidy. The beach access is always a beautiful addition Well worth the price paid. I will continue to recommend this resort to any one that is coming to the area.

Outdated but comfortable. The convention and meeting areas are nice. The rooms are clean but need to be updated. The staff is friendly and professional. The best is the proximity to the beach. The restaurant on the property are all outstanding.

We did not stay here, but came to eat at the Italian Bistro in the resort. And it was very good. I have a gluten allergy and the waiter was very accommodating. I had a wonderful salad with risotto. Very good. My husband and son lover the bread. Would recommend this place.

Great place to be with your love. Lots of activities. Beach access, pool for adults only. I highly recommend the Romance package. Very attentive and professional people.

The people here are Great! Facilities are slightly dated. Good food. Wonderful variety of activities for adults and kids. Multiple pools one shaded. Some activities are down the street at Guy Harvey Outpost. Definitely walking distance.

Second time visitor for a large conference/exhibit hall. Both visits have been in February. This establishment and its employees have been absolutely wonderful both visits. We usually stay for 6-7 days at a time and we NEVER have had issues with room cleanliness or staff friendliness. It is extremely evident that the focus is always on the guest, even during large catered events! Food and beverage options are abundant on property with 11 restaurants and several bars. Pricing is a bit expensive and adds up quickly when you visit for a week. Gulf, and sunset views are extraordinary and the beach is well manicured and taken care of. Great place for families, couples or conferences. Highly recommend the TradeWinds!

Was recently here for our Pillar To Post Home Inspector franchisee Brand Conference. The staff at this resort looked after each detail with professionalism and care. We left with the highest positive reaction ever from all involved and in attendance. As a side note, the beach party for over 500 went off without a hitch. Great Time!

We keep returning to the Tradewinds, even though the kids are grown. Definitely a go to destination if you have young children and are looking for a kid friendly location. There are plenty of all day activities and a daily schedule of events. Not cheap but you get what you pay for. Plenty of parking. Controlled access so everyone there is a guest. There are plenty of great places to eat within walking distance. (Try Shells Seafood Restaurant)

Excellent service. The beach attractions and the service offered are very good. The possibility of being in the bar on the edge of the pool is very nice. The variety of meals offered in the different restaurants, the pizzeria or the sports bar are excellent. The comfort for the events is quite adequate, the Pavilion events are very nice.
I highly recommend the stay in this hotel chain. The price is worth it.

Staff are wonderful. Restaurants and drinks good but expensive (3.50 for a bottled water, 10 for house wine in a monogrammed plastic cup) hotel holds that 1990s feel. Huge plastic palms lining the grand hall. Holding dust and dander. Rooms are small, low ceilings. But the beach never disappoints. Sunsets here are amazing. Water is always perfect.

We had our wedding at Tradewinds this October. The wedding team is excellent and very professional. They know what they are doing and do it with such grace. Their customer service is phenomenal: they went above and beyond to make our big day run smoothly. In addition, the food is great: our guests kept raving about it. Would highly recommend for a beach wedding in Tampa Bay.

Beautiful view, decent food, nice rooms. A couple little things I might change here and there, but honestly, over all, a wonderful spot to stay. They think of a lot of things most hotels don't. They even jumped my car when the battery died in their parking lot. Would rate 4.5 stars if they'd let me.

Our favorite place on the beach. Great for kids as well as adults. Look up their famous giant beach slide. Cabanas provided, restaurants. We stay for days with no need to leave. Anything we want is on the premises or a beach walk away. We keep going back. It's such an easy vacation, no worries.

Love this place. Friendly staff, nice clean pools, even offers an adult only hot tub plus it’s right on the beach and has s’mores in the evening! The bartenders are quick and friendly (Thanks Jake! ) and the food is delicious but price definitely reflects beach resort prices. The small fires are perfect for cooler Florida weather and they even have hammocks :)

This is a big resort with a ton of bars and restaurants, some of which are good and some aren’t. It’s probably one of the Premier resorts on St. Pete Beach; we got an awesome free room upgrade when we stayed there, so that didn’t hurt things. Be warned, though. Bluegreen vacations can be very aggressive in terms of the follow-up sales. They still call me really often trying to get me to join their vacation club or whatever.

This weekend stay was a splurge for a weekend getaway with wife. It is a 5 star hotel due to amenities however very tourist and crowded. The rooms were clean but everything so overpriced. For the lack if time we spent in the rooms we overpaid. It was a nice motel nice pool.

Unbelievable service from the entire staff, from the front desk to the cabana tenders and servers to the maintenance and cleaning folks. Everyone is very nice, friendly and helpful. Beautiful facilities (we only visited half the pools) and delicious food options. We visited the Flying Bridge repeatedly, there were plenty of options for wonderful seafood. The room was remarkably clean, up-to-date and well-maintained. I can't wait to get back down here.

Wonderful family/business travel resort with numerous eateries on property and @sister property nearby, Guy Harvey's Trading Post. Multiple pools, beach & free cabanas & giant water slide to guests. Efficient, hard working staff, including Server Tania D. Like everything except: As a BlueGreen owner, we only have access to specific rooms, which do not have balconies, cooking ability, washer/dryer and limited room size, efficiency, as opposed to bedrooms. These are seriously needed for families. Lacking hooks, balcony, etc. For drying space for wet beach clothes. Would like to see these changes. Thank you.

I had an excellent stay at this beautiful resort and just an all around great time. I booked it last minute for the end of Valentine's day weekend. Got 2 nights in a suite in the Breckenridge building with a gorgeous view of the Gulf and great weather. We live local, but it's so nice to have a little beach get-away. We hung out at the pool and the beach all weekend. Ate at most of the restaurants and didn't need to use cash because all we had to carry was our room key. Service was exceptional. The Front desk check in was easy and quick and nice. We took the paddle boats through out the property and walked and checked everything out our first day. Had drinks at the Tiki Hut and they had a great guy playing guitar and singing. Went to the Deli and at on the beach. Had an espresso at the lobby bar. The whole resort was well maintained and all the staff was friendly. They have everything you could ask for on site, plus another resort 3 places down the beach, the Guy Harvey Resort. Couldn't ask for a better weekend, view from our balcony, and all around service. Highly recommend to locals or people on vacation.

Oh my goodness, how much we loved this resort! Honestly, if we go again, we're making more plans to stay within the resort! The pools were awesome, the kiddie pool was the best (my toddler ADORED the kiddie pool! ), The food places were awesome and we had a perfect view from our room! Great amenities in the room and awesome people who work there! The beach wasn't as clear as you'd want but what can you do? We just kept our shoes on and that was that, no biggie. Such a great place to stay!

We have been going there for over 20 years so that must say something. It's a beautiful place in a beautiful location. We have had a few problems here and there but that is to be expected over a 20 year period. Staff has always been friendly and I think they do it pretty good job. Now, why am I giving it 4 stars instead of 5? Well I think management is outdated and they need to get some new people in they're running the place. Airheads is the only way I can describe them. I think they have been there too long and have become too comfortable in their positions and have lost sight of the customer's point of view. Over the past few years I have seen more riff raff staying there as well which has not been a problem up to this point but I did notice this last year they actually had armed sheriff's patrolling the grounds which was new to us. I think you will enjoy your stay there but by no means is up to par for a 5 star hotel.

Honest Review: Overall the properties are well kept but it is a little dated. Our room was very small for a family of four, and some upgrades are in order. However the cleaning team was always on top of it and our room was very well maintained. This resort is for families and they even had a crib for our little one (of course for an extra $5 a night) When you arrive you will get hit with a $45 "RESORT AMENITIES FEE " per night on top of what you have already paid. Make sure to rent a car because if you don't want to eat at the hotel restaurants, be ready to walk on the side walk of a very busy road. There are plenty of good restaurants around and for breakfast we went to Skitters and it was awesome for the price. The beach was very crowded however it is a very beautiful beach with a huge water slide that is awesome for the whole family. There are tons of activities for the family and kids to do, so you won't have to worry about figuring out what to do. Customer service was good and overall we liked our stay.

Great customer service, the staff are all very friendly and go above and beyond for their guests. The bellhops deserve extra recognition because they're all so friendly, they greet everyone with a smile and even hold the doors open for you when you enter/exit a building. The room was nice, however the decor is a little outdated. The televisions have a mind of their own and it's a gamble whether they'll turn on or not and sometimes the remotes don't work at all. Room service was great. Overall a great hotel to stay in.

Best vacation ever! The staff is over the top friendly, not only the hotel staff but ALL staff. So much to do and see. Rooms are awesome plenty of room, clean, and nicely decorated. If I could say 1 thing that was a negative it would be that our shower took a very long time to drain the water. Everything else was amazing, I will definitely stay here again! :)

Service has been nice so far. The food has been pretty good too. Only thing my family would like changed is for the air conditioners to be updated in the rooms. With the old A. C. Units it is hard to cool down the rooms properly. Other than that it's a nice resort with a great view and friendly customer service.

I stayed here last week. The hospitality worker Brian made this trip a blast! He was so nice and friendly! His smile made us all very happy! He made us feel very welcomed at the resort! Our trip would have not felt the same without Brian! He deserves a raise.

Overall a great place. The rooms a re a little dated, but we were quite comfortable and they were quite clean. Beds are very soft (too soft? ) Kitchenette is a nice addition. Everything on premises is expensive, but it's a resort, guess that's kind of expected. The balcony is a great addition as are the cabanas, patle boats and other "included" amenities.

Went with my work for a staff appreciation event. Lunch was good, and there was apple pie for dessert made on site. Two pools and the beach for swimming. They set out beach games for the staff and we received wristbands for access to everything except the water slide & a drink coupon. Plenty of lounge chairs near the bars and restrooms. The only bad experience was that I was hissed at by a swan lol.

Got married on beach at Guy Harvey Resort. Had the most wonderful stay. Top notch service everywhere we went. Must eat at Rum Fish Grille! Fantastic experience. Our bellman, Moises was great! Highly recommend him for anything you'll need. Everyone was friendly and helpful starting with the day we made our reservations through our check out day.

This resort offers a lot, it is wonderful! The staff was outstanding and very pleasant in every occasion. The room we got was terrible, a dark, outdated room that does not match the price you pay for. When arrived we were immediately asked if we want to upgrade (additional 80$ a night) as the 'standard room' wasn't considered great. Well, it was awful, they were not kidding — there is no match with the room that is displayed in the ad. However, as the resort itself is great we avoided to stay on the room and had a great vacation.

My friend and I enjoyed a wonderful get-away at the Trade winds recently. We felt so comfortable and we were able to really relax. We enjoyed many of the amenities and wonderful food at the restaurants. Staff was outstanding!

Our wedding party and majority of our guest stayed here. Had 120 guest. Everyone including us stayed and loved it. Front desk was amazing plus all the maintenance and cleaning crew were so friendly and helpful. We had a blast at the shark tooth tavern as well. They had an amazing one man band while we were there! Definitely would love to stay again for our anniversary.

Great resort. Family friendly with many activities to keep us entertained. Friendly staff and extremely helpful. There was some remodeling going on which was mildly intrusive but didn't take away too much from the overall experience. Within walking distance of many great restaurants as well as shopping and sights. A trolley stop directly across from the hotel taking you to many other great sights. Considering a family vacation in July.

Usually we get a gulf front suite. Our normal room was not available & we paid double the price we usually do. Steven @ guest services was awesome he ugraded us to a partial view when we expressed our concern to him. Water heater in room was acting weird (only hot for 10 mins) so we had to shower at my husbands parents house. Other than that we enjoyed our time on the property!

I had a two-day stay in the Breckenridge building. The atmosphere was alive and the staff was very friendly and helpful and made my first experience at the Tradewinds awesome. The room was beautiful and clean. It had everything that I needed and then some. The restaurants especially the Bermuda has amazing food. I recommend taking advantage of the breakfast buffet at the Bermuda. The beaches are beautiful everything there is very well priced. They have activities going all day and all night for kids for the adults and for the family and there was no reason for me to even leave the resort to go off property for anything else because they had everything there. I definitely will be coming back.

Was a guest for a friend's going away party. Staff was friendly and helpful. The room I stayed in was gorgeous and very clean/well kept. The night life was amazing. So many things to do in a walking distance. If that doesn't satisfy you downtown st. Pete is a short drive with many more places to vist. Overall had a great experience and will definitely come back.

A little bit older from the wear and tear on the buildings, but the rooms are comfortable, updated, and well kept. Haven't eaten at the on site restaurants, but the catering is decent for catered food. Plenty of bars on site, open late, plenty of activities for families too. The Gulf view rooms have a stellar beach view.

The staff always goes above and beyond to help out. I needed towels at the 21 and older pool at 10 pm at night and a maintenance man brought them in 5 min and they were nice and warm. Everyone was very friendly with top notch service. I recommend this resort for anyone wanting to get away. Have a wedding or reception. Also I was able to call a local henna artist and she did my henna pool side for only $50.00. Love this place and can't wait to go back!

Beautiful location, equally beautiful structure and facilities. Had to come for a business conference, the staff is well trained, extremely helpful and courteous. Would definitely recommend a few nights here again.

Great resort. Went there for the first time many years ago and it is still amazing. The staff are kind, the rooms are clean and big, depending on what room you get, and the amenities provided are nice. Plus it's right on the beach.

I was here for two nights over a weekend for a friend's wedding. What I liked… Great access to one of the better beaches in the area. We got wrist bands that gave us free cabana rentals (some restrictions) and use of beach towels. There's a large inflatable slide during the day. Lots of things to do overall. Lots of restaurant choices from Italian, American food, sea food, etc. Prices are high as you'd expect from a resort and quality was average. Lots off off-site restaurants and grocery stores within walking distance if you're on a budget. I was a performer at the wedding on my second night and needed to check-in earlier than 4pm so I could get dressed in my new room before sound check. The clerk was helpful and got me in my room by 3pm. I also lost my wrist bands and they had no issue replacing them. There's tons of options indoors and outdoors for weddings, conferences, and other events. On the night of the wedding there two other weddings and some sort of large conference and I notice see any conflict. What I did not like… Checking in my first night as guest in another party's room was a nightmare. I was sent away to the sister hotel next door and they sent me back to the main hotel. I had to get the groom involved to straighten everything out. Took an hour to check in. Oh, the parking and elevator wait is a nightmare. The adult pool closes at 10pm even on weekends.

I am here now so this is a great time to write a review. This is a resort partnered with Bluegreen Resorts and we are here on a time share presentation. A very poor reception for participants however we were already here. High pressure as usual. Bluegreen is just ordinary and extremely overpriced. This resort is pretty because of all the landscaping and layout It is way over busy with conferences, parties, weddings etc. Not a place to come for a relaxing vacation. Would not come here again even for free. The restaurants are way overpriced and heard a businessman come from Bermudas Rest. Complaining about the processed fake bacon for an over priced breakfast. Our room was large overlooked the Gulf. One dresser for clothes so don, t bring much. There is, a microwave, small refrigerator, sink but lacked counter space. No HBO, could not hook up an HDMI cable not allowed, no DVD player. One trash bag had to call for more. Parking is a nightmare and I resent being forced to have a bellboy bring up the bags and pay additional fees. I rate this resort a two star.

Nothing, this hotel old and neglected is not four star, if any two. The prior that pay was an abuse, disproportionate with what I received.

Best vacation experience for me and my son. The beaches are beautiful, a diversity in activities and restaurants all within walking distance, our room is right by the ocean, and plenty to do for both kids and adults alike. I would recommend and plan on returning!

We came here for our honeymoon and had a great time! There is so much to do you don't have to leave! Very kid friendly! We will be coming back with our children!

This is not an "angry" review, just an honest overview. I like to get what I pay for and thought I was getting a four star resort. This is definitely not a four star facility. Don't be fooled by the pictures online. I give it a two star rating. The location is good, but the rooms and accommodations are average at best. We booked a suite on the penthouse level for six nights for $4, 000. For the room and amenities, it is EXTREMELY overpriced! A suite with no washer/dryer, no oven, and no dishwasher? The parking is horrible! The lot is completely full at night and you have to squeeze into small parking spots and hope the person next to you doesn't hit your vehicle with their door. The putt putt golf and the game room are a joke. The entire "resort" needs updating. It is obvious management is focused on taking your money and not on the customer's experience. If you are expecting a four star resort, you will be highly disappointed.

My sister and her daughter from Ohio and my son from California came to Florida to visit. I always try to show them a good time, so I took them to the TradeWinds for a few days. We all loved the cabanas, the slide, the floating raft, the water park, the paddleboards and the adult swimming pool. But our best experience was the JetLev. John and kaylan was so fantastic. John was a great teacher and had a wonderful sense of humor. The JetLev was the favorite activity! … Thanks to John and Kaylan.

Our signed contract & deposits were made, and then finding out we had to move the last portion of our wedding indoors because of time/noise issues. Although the times were listed in our fully executed contract. Checking in was a nightmare, I was late to my rehearsal because they put us in the wrong rooms. Wedding day, floor plan completely different than our floor plan that was sent to Tradewinds. My groom spent his entire afternoon making sure they moved everything around. Ceremony aisle was small even though they were informed I would be walking with my mother and father. Table needed for our ceremony box was a huge table. It was placed only feet away from the front row of seats so we couldn't stand in front of it. NOW it's in every single picture & no one could hear our vows. Place cards couldn't be put down because of the wind, instead someone walked around telling people where they were going to sit verbally. I don't understand why she couldn't just hand them to the guests. No candles were lit on the tables at all, they were putting them out on tables during our first dance. Our schedule was gone over with everyone, a timeline was also discussed. So after our first dances we sat down & a toast was announced, however we they didn't have anything ready for us to drink at all so we had to skip the toast & go back later.
