Love the beach bar. The restaurant is good. Hotel is clean and in very good shape. The beach is very nice. All in all a great place to stay.

Best Hilton property on the beach in all pinellas county! And the only one that includes beachfront cabanas and free parking with your stay. Modern hotels with well manicured grounds, very attentive pool and bar attendants, and live music at night. Excellent alternative to the madness of Clearwater for a nice relaxing stay on the coast. Love the HGI St. Petersburg.

Great location and atmosphere. Very helpful and welcoming greeting from check in and throughout stay. The beach Cabanas are very nice, awesome pool as well as clean modern rooms. Restaurant on site as well as Coconut Charlie's beach side. This property has it all with live music nightly to boot!

The Hilton Garden Inn was a wonderful location for our 22-person beach reunion. The friendly event staff coordinated a happy hour gathering at Coconut Charlie’s beachfront bar with delicious coconut shrimp and chicken quesadillas. Of course, this was followed by watching the sunset from the private beach. The hotel is new and clean and not crowded even though all the rooms were booked while were there. If you are considering a visit to St. Pete Beach, this hotel should be at the top of your list.

We spend just 2 nights, but it was the best place from Hilton on all beaches, were we stay in Clearwater — St. Pete area. Big plus — free parking and no payment for beach chairs with umbrella and cabana, it was really nice surprise. Also at the pool you can get free bottles of water. Front desk manager, who check in us 1 August afternoon was very helpful with exchanging the room for us, because we booked king bed and in last minute our son decided to go with us, so we need 2 bed. Minus — just few rooms on every floor have ocean view, breakfast not included and restaurant for some reason no give Hilton employees discount. Anyway, when we get chance to found room for good price in this hotel, we would like to come back again. Sunset was amazing!

We truly enjoyed our visit. Looking forward to returning. This location is very well taken care of, so clean and decorated with beautiful décor. Breakfast at the restaurant is great and the service and hospitality is fabulous. Pool and bar area clean and well kept. You don’t have to leave at all if you don’t want, they have everything. Beach lounging as well on the provided chairs. We were very happy with this hotel. Hope to see you soon.

This is a great hotel. It has everything, a bar, restaurant, clean comfortable rooms, beach access, cabanas, beautiful sunsets and all the sea shells you can pick up. Hotel staff super friendly. Very busy hotel. Great location for a beach weekend. Great amenities for enjoying the outdoors. Absolutely love this place. Many restaurants within walking distance. Pro tip, forget about having a good view, request a first floor room at the back of the hotel closer to the pool. The parking spots back right up to the rooms. You can unload all your things right to your room. No waiting on an elevator or dolly. We stayed in room 121. Hotel is newly renovated. A/c is ice cold, rooms nicely decorated beds are firm and comfortable. Loved everything about this place. Can’t wait to come back and spend another weekend here.

Ive been staying at this hotel since I was a small kid. It only gets better with age! Amazing place to take your kids! Fun for all ages!

The staff is really nice. It's not a fancy place, but a clean and simple place to go if you want to enjoy the beach. My family stayed in a suite with a kitchen. The staff were always helpful and kind. They keep sand toys for the kids to use and kitchen supplies for the suite. The pool was a bit over chlorinated, but we preferred the beach anyway.

Toasted Monkey… great place. Ideal location. Nice beach access. The hotel rooms could use improvement. Kind of old and outdated. But overall nice little place on St. Pete Beach for a decent price.

The only good thing about this hotel is the proximity to the beach. Everything else about the hotel is bad. It’s old and gross. There is rust on the fixtures and in the sinks. There appears to mold on the walls. The tiles were cracked. It’s just a gross place. I wouldn’t stay here again.

Hotel is very convenient for pool & beach access. The room is kinda basic. Bathrooms could've been a little cleaner, but overall good hotel if you're going to be enjoying the beach & pool all day. We got a 1st floor room & it was super convenient for coming in from the beach & loading/unloading the car. The pool has pool towels so that was a plus when our beach towels were wet & not having to use shower towels. Hotel staff is friendly. We are at the Toasted Monkey the first night. Wait staff was friendly and helpful, good was good. Coconut shrimp app was tasty. There is a Dunkin Donuts, Baskin Robbins, and 7Eleven across the street that's convenient. The pool has a pool attendant with floats, beach balls, and towels for hotel guests. There is a beach bar at the pool also, but it is pricey. The beach is beautiful, wasn't crowded 3rd week of June.

Terrible hotel. Smells like old moldy drywall. We checked in around 6pm noticed the sheets were stained and dirty with a shoe print on them. I nicely asked if they could change the sheets while we go out to dinner. When we got back they had simply remade the bed. Same shoe print still there! The lady was like I'm I'll give you a different room, but we don't have any more king rooms. The second room had what I hope were clean sheets, but we're stained. Do these people not bleach their whites? The staff didn't seem surprised or willing to care about it. The furniture was old and worn. The hotel was in general not well taken care of.

Where to begin. We got to our room and did not have the view we booked. Paid to upgrade for an ocean view room at 85 bucks per night. Mistakes happen, and if that was all, I'd be okay. We entered the "upgraded" room only to have it seem like it had not been thoroughly cleaned after the last guest. The front desk promised us a "deep cleaning" while we were out. The pictures show what the room looked like after we walked in at the end of the day. It just got worse from there. The evening staff on a Friday night told my husband and myself that there was no parking for hotel guests because the bar attached in the back "will sometimes grant exceptions" for customers. I was told that in order to park, a key card and parking pass was mandatory, as I watched the other receptionist open the gate for a vehicle that had neither. Have reached out to the manager and have not had any reply regarding this, aside from one night of our "upgrade" charge being removed. At the end of our stay, which was a Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday night, the total bill was almost $850. Never again. RUDE RUDE RUDE STAFF, with the exception of two people. Stay away. Also, the pictures of the floor are a comparison of what I was able to clean with a washcloth and hotel bar soap… they barely made an effort.

As far as the rooms, they need updated really bad. I don't think any of the housekeepers know how to run the vacuum, the carpet is disgusting! We have been here for 4 nights and the hallway hasn't been vacuumed since we've been here. We have gone through 15-20 key cards that DO NOT work. Ceramic tile is so sticky… its gross and needs replaced The shower runs constantly The carpet needs replaced and the doors in the stairwell need bleached and painted As far as the Toasted Monkey… if you are a young 100# 21 year old girl the Male bartenders will give you whatever you want … the female bartenders listen to what you want. Sad to say… we will not be back (to this hotel), I should say Last but not least… what is the $11/ day resort for? We couldn't even get beach towels.

Had a great experience here! If I'm ever in the area again, I will definitely make a point to stay here again for my next trip. Everything was awesome and the energy was great to be around! The outdoor entertainment (i. E pool, bar, beach) was very clean, and the hotel staff were helpful and very pleasant to talk too, even the guests that were also staying at the hotel had great energy about them. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area. That is looking for a nice, clean, laid back yet fun and energetic place to come stay and relax. While you're there visit the 'Toasted Monkey' grab a drink (The Horny Monkey Maragrita), and relax by the beach/pool.

Weekend getaway — Almost didn't book here because if some of the reviews. They seemed to be polarized with half thinking the place was great and half pretty bad. Room is a little dated but I don't remodel my house every couple years either Everything and I mean everything was clean. Sheets, pillow cases, walls, ceiling. New looking paint. No smell. Flat screen TV mounted on wall. Clean shower and towels. They brought us tooth paste. Room was cold! I've no doubt that some people have bad experiences but wasn't our experience. We did have a problem where the bed tilted off its pedestal? We're going to report it and I'll update how they respond. Just had breakfast at the toasted monkey… Chicken and waffles… ehhh.

We had a great time, but the rooms need some service and updates. When we booked it was one of the last rooms and had a strong cigarette smell and it was a no smoking room. The carpet smelled very old as well like mildew. And the shower kept leaking even after we turned it off. It's a very nice location but the maintenance and housekeeping is very poor and more sad is paying more then 160 a night and this is the service you get. We asked for our room to be cleaned and no one ever came. Our pillows had stains in them as well. But the location is beautiful above all. I will love to return and hope they make some changes because me and my wife love where this hotel is located and the distance so near the beach.

I wish I could give a negative star rating. So we booked a 2 queen bed efficiency for a weekend relaxation getaway and boy was we in for a surprise. We paid almost $700 for two nights. This place is super outdated. There seems to be no insulation in the walls and it’s loud as can be. The crowd from the bar outback is loud and obnoxious. They basically wondered around the parking lot making noise until 2 or 3 a. M. The shower faucet will not shut all the way off and ran the whole time we were there. The small refrigerator is basically propped up by a piece of plywood and almost raw 2x4s. The kitchen table was disgusting and should’ve been replaced a long time ago. The flooring tiles are filthy and in need of serious disinfecting. The tub is rust stained and dirty. The ac unit is noisy and the beds are super hard. Motel 6 is much better than this place. It should not be called a “resort”. More like an overpriced dump! We did not rest at all while here. Way over priced and definitely not a resort! we’ll never return here!

Staff has been great about all or needs and inquiries. Rooms are clean, although outdated. Amenities are excellent. Pool is clean and decent sized. Bar and grill is open for all meals with tasty food. Volleyball courts are well maintained. Right on the beach. 10/10 would return.

This is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed at as far as cleanliness is concerned. The carpet is filthy, the bathroom is terrible and a general dirtiness is everywhere. The pros were the friendly staff but nothing could help the room conditions. The Toasted Monkey bar was nice and the location is great, but we could not enjoy the visit because of the room. Check out the pics of the bathroom. I will not stay here again.

Roaches, baby's and adults in the bathroom and bedroom. The bathroom so dirty the tub looked like it had a yellow mat at bottom. Rust all over shower. Outdated. Balcony door very hard to open and shut. Bar behind the hotel made it very loud at night. I emailed corporate with my pictures and concerns and I never got a response back. I even called the complaint line and was told I would get an email and I have not. I would never recommend this place as I will never stay in it again.

Great hotel with a lot to do. Very friendly staff especially Tom who was working by the pool. Give that guy a raise. He was very helpful and professional and took the extra step to make our stay great. Food by the pool was also great I recommend the hangover burger. Views were great and best of all very central located everything. Again give Tom a raise the guy was great.

A well located resort on St Pete Beach. Strangely enough… They don't have their own beach chairs. But their 3rd party restaurant Drunken Monkey was a good place to hang out and soak in the sun. The resort charges a resort fee and doesn't provide any specific "resort" like facilities. The rooms are clean and usually well lit, but they're average rooms is all.

It is a decent hotel with a good view if you request a gulf side room. A good thing about this hotel is the location. It is along the main strip on St. Pete Beach near many stores and has an open path directly to the beach. It is attached to the twisted monkey restaurant which offers great breakfast and dinner options… Try the grouper if you are a fish fan. The rooms seem to be a bit dated and need some repair. They were clean, but it looks like it has not been updated for some time. There was an annoying $11 fee of some sort called a suite fee or something to that effect that basically covered a travel size bottle of lotion and a brochure that was not optional. Overall, it is a good location and I had a great time. In another location I would have given it two stars.

Very Disappointed. Attached to the pool area is a bar that over serves customers to the point they are staggering drunk. We had our kids at the pool at 7pm and had drunks passing out onto our stuff, swearing and falling down on the ground. We removed our kids from the pool area and had to return to our room. Hotel front desk informed me that the bar is open to the public and there wasn’t much she could do. I paid to stay there plus paid a resort fee but I had to take my kids back up to our room and not enjoy the amenities. We proceeded to watch the bar patrons pee in parking lot and hit people’s cars. Definitely not a family friendly hotel!

The staff was very friendly. Rooms were filthy and outdated. Chair in room was broke, most of the lights in room did not work. Sliding glass door was old and rattled with the wind all night. No phone line in room. Elevator did not work off and on during our stay. Other guest we were there with sat on the bed which broke and came off the pedestal. They did give them a new room however no refund as of yet. Pool and beach nice. Restaurant was great next door.

We stayed here 5 years ago during a hurricane. Wasn't the best, but it was during a hurricane and everything was flooded. Stayed here again this year as my daughter had state meet for gymnastics in Bradenton. It's a Ho Jo. It's a little outdated, but comfortable nonetheless. Room was quiet surprisingly as it was very busy while we were there. Convenient to everything. Would stay again.

The rooms were decent. Nothing impressive, but not bad at all! The room I stayed in had a mini fridge and two sinks (one in the bathroom + one right outside the bathroom). The beds were not very comfortable but, it could just be my preference. The staff was nice and there was room service ever day. The pool is a comfortable to relax — pool towels are provided.

Rooms were dirty, locks were broken. Did not feel comfortable or safe. Not worth the money. Only redeeming quality was on-site bar.

Not at all what we expected. Rooms were dated, maintenance needs improved badly. Cleanliness was ok, not great. Staff was friendly. Gated parking lot requires room key to access. Best part about this place was the Toasted Monkey restaurant next door. We will not stay at this hotel again. The picture is the tile leading to the balcony, I found problem areas like this all over the hotel.

On arrival I checked in… Got a full cart of my stuff to the 4th floor and my door key didn't work… A maid had to let me in… So I went for dinner then filled a second car of items and my key didn't work again the neighbors tried to help it still wouldn't work… The neighbor called down to the front desk to get someone to come up… Guest services said I had to come down they would not come to the room. When I got down to the desk they just redid the keys and said I was fine. I went to the room and again for a 3rd time could not get in. I had the maid let me in again I called downstairs a few they sent maintenance who let me know the door was actually broken. I was moved to another room than had little tiny ant looking things everywhere. I checked on for 10 days checked out after 3 nights. Yuck.

This hotel is gross, I didn't expected updated and brand new but dirty is an understatement. I'm only giving one star because at least the guest service reps tried to make it better. The cleaning crew should be fired.

Ordered Ocean front suite — got double room that I wouldn't let me dog sleep in. Seriously it was bad. The suites are not suites — they are only one room (we expected two from pictures and couch) and evidently only a few have kitchens. Most have old fridges and microwaves. They rooms do NOT look like the pictures. We downgraded to a standard room and it was cleaner. These are old rooms. They look it too. Cleaning services could be improved. The desk staff was super nice and accommodating. The Toasted Monkey is awesome for breakfast, dinner, and nightlife. Other than the rooms the place is fine — location and amenities for great for the price. FYI — right side (odd number rooms) have ocean views on upper levels even though they don't say they do — better than the other side ;)

Cozy and with basic services, not luxury but if you like sand and sea but without paying a fortune, I recommend it.

Close walk down to the beach and pool. It was a good time for me and my wife and daughter. The food at the toasted monkey is good too. We stayed here for days and didn't really leave the hotel property except for walking up and down the beach. We would come back for sure.

The hotel should be closed by the health department, reeks of mold in the rooms, especially the bathrooms, all the out into the halls, loud, noisey, beds uncomfortable, staff is very lazy, I really can't say anything positive about the place, if stay there it's at your own health and peril.

Went to visit to a friend in the room 303 and we bathe in the swimming pool.

It all depends on what you are looking for as to if you will enjoy this hotel. For my experience, I found that it was great! The room was outdated, however, my family and I found it to be comfortable. The location was perfect. The bar had live music every night, which I thoroughly enjoyed from the pool. I found that this hotel was an outstanding value, and was great for our stay. If you are looking for a full service luxury hotel, this place may not be for you. But if you are looking for a great value, and don't mind outdated decor etc. I would recommend this hotel.

The air conditioner was loud. The shower leaked. The bed and pillows were uncomfortable. We did not get a please, thank you, good morning from the staff. The pool was nice and clean. That kept it from a one star. No continental breakfast?

We have stayed at other hotels along the beach that were more updated and had friendlier front desk staff. The rooms are big but need to be updated. Especially, for the price they charge. The Toasted monkey was awesome! The kitchen appliances in our room were rusted. Our bathroom toilet backed-up and overflowed. The cleaning staff were really friendly.

It's okay. For the price, definitely nothing special. I believe the greatest thing about it is the toasted monkey next door.

I've stayed here a few times. The rooms are basic, and it is very much a beach type hotel — not the nicest, not the worst. I've never had issues with the staff, and it is very convenient to get to shopping, restaurants, and the beach. My only complaint is with the beach front rooms. Because of the bars, be prepared to hear the bands until 2 AM every single night. For me the lack of sleep is not worth the ocean view!

Total old dump. Bar and restaurant are good but not associated with the hotel. In fact you cannot get room service, which is a drag if you have kids and in general. The staff is not very nice or accommodating. It took many hours to check in because 'your room request is not ready'. Then you find all the rooms are old and in bad repair. Then it takes all day to get your room serviced because the 'house keeping staff is working on turn — around rooms'. The house keeping staff were lazy — not friendly and more interested in socializing and taking smoke breaks. I would give them no stars if I could. Most poorly run place I have ever been in. I travel 200 days a year for work, and have stayed in some old cinder hotels on St Pete Beach, but I would avoid this place. It is not even the building — it is a management problem, For the most part — the staff I encountered should not be 'customer facing'.

This hotel was thoroughly disgusting. At first we walked into the hotel and it literally smelled like mold everywhere. We then walked into our room where there were questionable stains everywhere. There was also left over beer/food from the previous guests in the fridge. Nothing in the room was clean. My boyfriend and I then complained to the front desk who upgraded us to a nicer room. While the room was definitely bigger it was also very unclean. On getting ice from the vending machine on our floor I stopped when I noticed there were several spiders frozen in my ice bucket. Overall I would definitely not got here again.

I love the location, the pool, the food is tasty and the rooms are nice for a reasonable price. I was given a complimentary room upgrade to a suite and couldn't have been happier.

Front counter staff is rude. Rooms are meh. Pool and easy access to beach is alright, but you can get that from any hotel on this strip. Will not be returning.

Please do not waste your money here! Never in my life have I paid for a hotel room and had to pay to park somewhere else because they will only allow one of us to have our vehicles parked in their parking lot. Like what?!?! So I pay you for a old crappy run down room and I still have to pay $40 for parking in some sketchy lot down the street? Had I known this was going to cost me $180 I would have stayed somewhere else without a second thought. Also, to the girl at the desk when we came in. Some customer service advice from someone who has worked in the hospitality industry for years, when you're about to give your customers bad news you should lose the attitude and have some respect in your voice when you speak. My first impression of you and this hotel was in the moment when you told us we cant park at the hotel that we just paid for and you could have at least been polite about it. So there you have it, these reviews speak for themselves and I personally will never return here.

I would not stay any place else! The rooms are just fine, as all I do is sleep in them. The pool, ocean, 7-11 and great food is all within walking distance. It has a Dunkin Do-nuts being built across the street, a McDonalds a couple of blocks that is easily walked to and a great affordable restaurant at the hotel. If you want to find something wrong with the hotel, I am sure you can — — but I found nothing but gracious and courteous staff and house-keeping department. (We like extra pillows and towels, always! ha) Thanks for a happy Ho-Jo! ha.

Overpriced, understaffed and horrible policies. We arrived at 3PM thinking that would be more than late enough for check in, only to be told that check in wasn't until 4. After killing an hour, we came back and were told that check in STARTED at 4 and our room wasn't ready yet. So, despite the fact that check-out is promptly at 11AM no exceptions, it apparently takes them well over 5 hours to get the rooms ready. Ours wasn't ready till nearly 5 and when we did reach it, it was underwhelming, small and the furniture looked like it had been picked up from the curb after a rainstorm. Horrible place, I will never stay here again and if you're smart, you won't either.

We have stayed for the past three years and the employees are exceptionally cordial and provide excellent customer service. They deserve a hotel building that is remodled. Which meets the building and fire codes by todays standards. If he owner is unwilling to make that investment, then at least clean up the building with new carpet and a coat of paint. Hopefully next year will see some improvement.

Awful! Worst hotel we stayed at, in my opinion. The only things nice were the: view, wonderful food at the toasted Monkey and the day we checked out! Upon check in the carpet was soaking wet and the whole room smelled moldy. We were told it was the fridge! The furniture looked like it came from a homeless shelter, the windows were ancient and had a bunch of holes drilled in their frames where locks had been changed or added, paint was scraped and peeling in the halls and elevator, which was rickety and rarely worked. You would be better sleeping in a tent on the beach, in my opinion. Complained to corportate/management and had to beg and plead with my emails only to get " one free night stay" after multiple emails. This dump should have been bulldozed down 20 years ago. The lack of maintainence is shocking and every where you look.

We stayed Monday and Tuesday night liked it the beds sleep good. It does need a little fixing up told the front desk and they was happy we told them some small things. They seem to be fixing things up. We would come back we enjoyed it very much.

The room was nice. One King bed. We did like the balcony. There should be a small cabinet or a drawer to place toiletries. There was a refrig, micro, and coffee maker in the room. There was one sink in the bathroom and one sink outside the bathroom. Housekeeping in the bathroom was not good. The floor was dirty. I asked for housekeeping to mop the floors, but in the week we were there, that did not happen. We had to go downstairs to the desk to get a box of tissues. Also, we had to notify the desk that the plug in the bathroom did not work properly and it was replaced. That should have been seen by the custodial staff. We could not use the pool because it was taken over by the kids. There was no room for adults to swim. I did not see adult only swimming hours. Parking was difficult, especially on the weekend. There was just not enough parking spaces for the number of rooms. I would not stay there again.

The walls and doors are paper thin. You can clearly hear the TV and conversations of your neighbors all day long. You can hear people walking through the entire length of the hallway. The parking situation is awful. For each room you are only allowed one parking pass. “All other cars will be towed”. The resolution the front desk offers is to park a block and a half down the street at a scooter store and walk or take a cab to the hotel. Parking at the scooter store is $20 and you must remove your car before 10am the next day or be towed. The pool is not heated very well. If they offered me a refund to leave after the first 3 hours being at this hotel I would have taken it.
