The hotel staff when I arrived was friendly and helpful. However when the night shift crew came in a different story. Around 9 PM I called the front desk personnel and told them the air Conditioner was not working. So I asked them if they had a fan. They did not have a fan and didn't offer me any help or solution to resolve the situation. Other than that the room was clean and updated. The breakfast was nice and fresh and keeper well stocked.

We loved our stay. Breakfast was fantastic. Lots of choices. Hot and Cold. Beds were comfy and very clean rooms. Great staff. Friendly and helpful. Close to cruiseport and airport. Dollar store and a few restaurants nearby. Outdoor pool was lovely. A few little tiny lizards around. Pretty spot. Check in 3 pm.

The place seemed clean but the staff has zero empathy and even less customer service. Our family drove in from Virginia and called ahead to reconfirm our room reservation. When we arrived the staff gave us the wrong room. These things happen sometimes. Mixups are fairly common. What is totally unacceptable is the way the staff decided to handle the situation. Instead of making any effort to fix the mistake, we were told there was no way possible to accommodate our family and honor our reservation. And proceeded to laugh at us when we requested extra blankets and pillows, because some family members were faced with sleeping on the floor. Moral of the story, call Hilton corporate. Because it was the only way to get this Hampton Inn & Suites to honor our reservation and admit they did in fact have enough beds to accommodate our family.

The room is perfect (despite the renovations).
The staff is courteous.
The hotel is well located.
Everything would have been perfect if it had not been for the fact that our Ipad left in our room disappeared in our absence… The staff at the reception did try to help us but this flight remains unexplained. : (in short, kept your value effects with you and you will be filled by this hotel.

Will share more details later since I just checked out dust build up behind my throat from walls that being sanding. 4/29 update: photos aren't being uploaded. 5/2 update: don't know why pics aren't uploading. Tried multiple times to upload more horrible pics but it just don't go up while my other review and pics are uploaded fine. Pictures I took show pile of dust inside of my room table and my laptop plus ant mound looking pile of sanded wall dust right in front of my room. Just like the fire fighter review says, you need to look for somewhere else if you have respiratory issues because smell and dust will get you worsen. I had to see my doctor after developing never had skin rash that started little after my trip and now they are all over and very itch. Like I mentioned on other review, I am a Hilton Honor member and only stays in Hilton properties and this specific one on 2500 Stirling Rd is the worst I have ever been to. I addressed problems to a young lady called herself as a day shift manager but she only pointed out a stacked of papers that just sitting on the lobby counter for whoever is wondering what that might be. Of course, it must've been some sort of pardon letter to the guests for the renovation they have going which never did get to me because nobody didn't bother me to take a look for 3 nights stay. Now I submitted a survey that was sent to me by Hilton with what my experience was like. Of course it wasn't the pleasant one…

The staff was both friendly and helpful. It like a home away from home. The rooms were clean and spacious. This hotel is minutes from the mall and various restaraunts. All in all, I enjoyed my stay.

I am Diamond member status, so have stayed at many, many Hilton properties and usually very pleased with Hampton Inn regarding quality and price. However, at this property, when I entered my room, every single cabinet and drawer was open (odd — did they just fumigate and no one checked? ), the floor was incredibly sticky, and the hotel was VERY dirty, including stained towels and beat up walls. Tried to go to gym which was filthy and the only treadmill was broken. I was so uncomfortable in the room, and intimidated by the unfriendly staff, I left and moved to the Hilton hotel on the other side of town. When I attempted to call the hotel for check out and a refund due to poor conditions and since I did not stay the night, they said they would speak with management and call me back. Never called me back and still charged me for the room. Very unprofessional, horrible conditions, will never plan to return, and will ensure all of my business colleagues avoid this property as well.

The rooms and staff are great, even if the decor is a bit dated. The beds, furniture, bathroom/kitchen are very nice in the king suite. The swimming pool is the size of a postage stamp. There's basically nothing to do on the hotel property except watch the pool belonging to another hotel next door with a pool side bar and filled with people, or go work out in the miniscule fitness center. At least there's a pretty good smattering of shopping and restaurants within walking distance. If you like to take a walk in the evening, be ready to encounter a bunch of stray cats and raccoons.

Like every Hampton the Fort Lauderdale location is a reliable choice with a good place to sleep and breakfast. While the building seems a little worn the service was fantastic. Booked in haste on my phone I did not select the proper room with space for an entire family. Germane at the desk resolved the situation immediately upon seeing the room I had booked and looking at my family standing with me in the lobby. I did not even realize the error until he commented that the room would not be sufficient and he went into action. Service is worth more than any fancy decorations or shiny paintings. Very clean, friendly staff, excellent breakfast, spaces rooms, best neutrogena toiletries this place exceeds standards of excellence. This is the ONLY place my family stays when we vacation to Florida every year.

Had a very good stay and enjoyed the pleasant interaction with the staff. Room was clean and comfortable and airport shuttle was prompt and on time. Had to meet a client in South Beach for a quick meeting. Location close to airport allowed me to get an inexpensive Uber to the meeting and then back to the hotel for a next morning flight. Everything went smoothly and according to plan.

I am a frequent visit to Florida and I stay at the Hampton Hotel when its available. I had a trip for the 12/16/17 and was scheduling to stay at Hampton Inn on Stirling Road but my trip had to be diverted to another destination. I had ordered two books from Amazon that was shipped to the hotel to be delivered around the same time that I was supposed to be there. I quickly called the hotel and spoke to a lovely lady Sarah and I told her what had happened. She politely said that is no problem I will secure the books and place a note for her other colleagues to view to secure my books. I greatly commend her for that and I have no hesitation in ever recommending the Hampton Inn Stirling Road for a visit. They always aim to please there customers. A big thank you to Sarah. I was in town visiting for a concert which I had a reservation at Hampton. Even though I was early the lady at the front desk went out her way and got me s room early so I can have time to eat relax and get ready for the show. The rooms was so beautiful and comfortable. Bathrooms were immaculate and shiny. When I make another trip to Ft Lauderdale this will be the hotel I will stay in for the future. Thanks for making me feel welcome.

Is this Hotel worth $160.00 a night? Well, it might have been one of those days where someone gets it all. The air conditioning could go wrong at any time and when you show up at the room and you have to go down the elevator to the lobby to get another one. But before that I had already gone down that elevator once because the magnetic room keys didn't work. Also, the elevator is another story: it stops at every floor automatically and if you have to go up and down two or three times, it could take up to 20 minutes. Well, when I got the other room that was an upgrade for the malfunctioning a/c, the door keys didn't work either! Even more time at the elevator that stops at every floor. But there is even more to this negative review. I arrived to the hotel at 1:00 am with a heavy rain and of course at that time in the morning the front parking spaces were already gone. I was carrying my 7 years old daughter with an umbrella and when I approached one of the back doors, they don't have the option to be opened from the outside, none of them! There's no signs at the doors letting anyone know that you have to go through the front entrance. For lees than this I have cancelled at other places but only because my daughter was sleeping in my arms I went along with the new room. I don't want to be unfair with the attendant because she was not responsible for all this and gave us a better room, that's why I'm giving the two stars, thanks to her, hotel manager!

Rooms were nice and clean. Gentleman who checked us in was pleasant. Only stayed for a night, in late and out early. Bed wasn't that comfortable.

Excellent stay. Very clean facilities and Gail the night hostess was extremely accommodating. Close to the airport, can't beat it.

Older Hotel that was remodeled. They did a good job remodeling but the age of the hotel still kind of shows. Still, very comfortable and clean. Large suites. Breakfast is just ok.

Clean rooms, polite staff. Water pressure was weird and low during our stay. Not sure if that is a constant issue or a fluke. Was not enough to prevent staying again. Location is good and very close to restaurants and a nice shopping center. Has shuttles to airports and other nearby attractions.

We stayed in a suite so the kids could both have their own bed. Their room seemed comfortable and clean. My husband and I slept in the pull out couch which has seen better days. There was a small kitchen and dining space that we didn't use. The suite was spacious, but in need of some cosmetic repairs, like the towel bar that wasn't well attached to the wall. Ryan, who checked us in, was kind and helpful to our travel weary family. However, my husband and I had and witnessed a couple instances where other staff were rude. The elevator worried me some and I took the stairs when I wasn't hauling luggage. My biggest concern is that the hotel is currently under a 24 hour fire watch due to non functional fire safety system.

I arrived at the hotel very early (10am) and thought I could just wait in lobby until 4 to check in but when I asked I was very surprised they were able to check me into my room. This was fantastic and I was very grateful. Room was nice and clean. The workers are very nice especially the ones working the breakfast area. Very convenient with the free shuttle to airport. One negative is the pool area is small and in the shade most of the day so in the winter months it is cold and there is no bar.

Rooms were clean and whenever we had a slight issue, front desk handled it like a professional. I would definitely stay there again.

Manager is great. Staff is friendly, suite was nice & clean. A little older but very well kept.

Very nicely sized room. Bedding was very clean. The room and hotel in general felt a little outdated. TV service would sometimes drop out for several minutes at a time.

Travelers BEWARE, this hotel WILL unilaterally change confirmed reservation prices. We have a confirmation for a room in March 2016 for $124, but three months AFTER making the reservation, they sent an email stating that the new price is $199. A call to the corporate office was to no avail. Basically she said 'too bad! ' we can legally do that. We are contacting the Florida Attorney General!

This place is amazing. Hubby and I did not plan ahead after getting off our cruise — Memorial day weekend, with 12 hrs between ship and flight home and no place to stay. They got us a room without jacking up the cost. It is clean, big and beautiful with a pool and a really nice breakfast. I will absolutely come here again, and recommend anyone I know to stay here.

Thank heaven for Manager Allison Martin. My granddaugther and I went to another "Hampton Inn" in Orlando and had a terrible experience. Supported by the view of four members of the Sheriff Department that the area was unsafe and "if we had to remain there, we shuld stay in our room until we checked out. " After arriving in Orlando from Denver, travelling with my 94 year old mother, we were exhausted, yet safety concerns, exacerbated by staff untruths, we checked out within an hour and we were charged for the full night. Calling for a taxi was another issue, when an unkempt man appeared in a van to transport us. I declined that ride and a meter cab was requested and received. That gentleman took us to your wonderful hotel where the respected name of Hampton Inn and suites held true and without reservations, at night, Ms. Allison Martin rescued us. We will forever be grateful to her for her able and cordial assistance. A wonderful accommodation and a good night's rest after dinner at Carrabas just across the street. Saved the day! Thank you Miss Martin.

Great hotel, easy access to Highway and 10 minutes to Dania Beach.

Not friendly, no AAA discount for foreigners (AAA Partner). A pity, it looked clean and nice.

I just left this hotel and it was an amazing positive experience. Very clean everywhere and the service Wes spectacular. I definitely recommend this hotel and I will 're visit again.

I was at home less then five nights last month and therefore I qualify as an expert in travel hotels. I rarely if ever rate hotels this way, but, my experience at this particular Hampton Inn was no less than spectacular! The nighttime management staff went far out of their way to accommodate me. I often stay at Hampton Inns and the experience is always enjoyable and most of the time the staffs of Hampton Inns are more friendly than other hotels. Cynthia at the front desk is a great asset to the front desk staff. But the staff and the accommodations and the physical plant at this Hampton Inn exceed even other Hampton Inns, this staff at this hotel is to be commended.
