Do not stay here unless you are desperate. The owner couldn't care less about customer service or about the comfort and safety of guests. Let me tell you about my experience. Upon arrival, my companion and I visited the pool and spa. The whirlpool was a murky green. When it started agitating, vile, pungent odors filled the air causing us to gag and irritating our eyes. We reported the situation to the desk clerk, who was new and by herself in that huge motel and didn't know what to do. She tried calling the owner and never got a response that we know of. The pool was not closed in spite of the health hazard. Next we went to bed. The air-conditioner didn't work properly, but we finally got it functioning somewhat. The fitted sheet kept popping off the bed. I turned on the light and discovered it was the wrong size and would not cover all four corners. It was also torn. So I called the night clerk (different one) who was also fairly new. Had to get dressed and let him in. He eventually found the right size sheet. Very nice person. In the morning we discovered that the television didn't work when we tried to check the weather report. Also, the stinking spa was not closed downstairs. After we pointed it out, the more experienced desk manager closed the spa until it could be serviced. Considering all the inconvenience, we asked for a 20% discount upon checkout. We were offered 5% which was all the manager could do without the owner's permission. That is not even the cost of the tax! The manager said she would consult the owner and call us. We never got a call back, but called back ourselves and were told that the owner was not going to do anything. This is the worst motel situation I have encountered in my travels. You might luck out and not have a problem. The place is quiet and the mattresses are comfortable, so if that is all you require, it might be okay. But if you have any problems, don't expect any response. The motel staff is very nice, but they won't be able to help you because they are not trained to handle things like a polluted spa; they are all by themselves at night, and the owner doesn't give a flip. We didn't even get an apology for the inconveniences, except from the employees, who all deserve a raise for working in that situation.
