Reviews of Hyatt Place Denver Downtown 3*
Very welcoming atmosphere.
Very clean rooms, friendly staff — Christian from front desk is awesome. Very good customer service. Highly recommend.
It was a expensive room with a awful tiny breakfast with kids running up and down the hall and parking was $33 a day all in all for such a fancy hotel
You would expect to be taken care of better while your there.
Hotel was very clean and the staff was very helpful. Even gave us a $10 snack credit for the kids. We would definitely stay there again.
Generous sized rooms with a great city view from the 18th floor.
Clean, and spacious, nice view. Highly recommended.
Beautiful view! thanks for the hospitality!
5⭐ very nice clean convenient.
Good and clean hotel right downtown.
Everyone was friendly, helpful and the room was super nice. Valet was extremely pricey but wanted the car to be safe so paid it.
Great hotel and location downtown Denver.
Really my issues was was the one poor girl in the bar/ restaurant when there needed to be at least 2-3 she was going bad fast as she could and I don’t blame her but it was a busy snowy weekend I didn’t get it. Also had an older lady behind the bar who was rude and unhelpful to the other girl then went home. The rooms are nice and the value is good. I would stay again but I would do Uber eats.
My room was ready at 1:30. Charged me an extra $25 to check in before 4. Won’t ever stay here again.
Love this hotel! The pool and hot tub is a bonus!
Was a great night valet on point customer service was great.
The Hyatt Place Dtwn Denver is the perfect location for business or fun. Rooms are updated, tasteful and extremely clean. For families the salt water pool is awesome and the location to 16th St makes it so easy to see and do all that Denver offers. From cleaning to front desk, the staff is phenomenal! Can’t wait to stay at the Hyatt Place again.
This place was amazing! We were on the 22nd floor, and the views were so wonderful. The bathroom and shower were big enough for 2 people. The bed was very comfortable. We will always stay here!
Very, very nice and accommodating staff. Our room was clean with an amazing view!
This hotel is in a prime location where all the action is in downtown Denver. The hotel staff is extremely nice and welcoming as well. The rooms are cozy and very spacious and usable. The TV's in the room are big as well and easily connect to devices making it even more of an enjoyable experience. I will definitely stay here again!
Loved this hotel, stayed at another Hyatt place Boise too. You know what you are getting, the rooms are fresh and clean with plenty of room, comfy beds and pillows. Good bar facility. Ideally placed for downtown. Highly recommended after our 4000 mile road trip we stayed in a few Marriots too but Hyatt place far superior for quality.
We try to always choose Hyatt hotels because of their great value and classy atmosphere. This was another beautiful hotel. Very comfortable bed and stylish room. Good complementary breakfast buffet. Staff was very friendly. Of course, because this is a downtown hotel, it is expensive, and only has valet parking, which is an extra $42 per day. The restaurant is very expensive. We spent ~$25 a plate for casual food. The food was tasty, but you can get a much better value offsite. Like others mentioned, we too smelled marijuana in the hall a few times, but it did not get into our room. Overall, I recommend this hotel if you need close proximity to downtown and want a nice experience.
Not great for the price. Breakfast was decent, the pool is indoors, very humid, and small, and there is no safe in the room. I did like that you could order food 24hr (and the food was actually good) but they don't bring it to your room; they call you and you have to pick it up from the bar. I also liked the half partition to separate the bed from the seating area. I also had a GREAT view of downtown from my room on the top floor.
No parking! Oh you can pay $ 42 to park at hotel. Received a nice $50 ticket for parking at meter! I guess I should have woke up at 2 a. M. To put change in the meter on a Sunday! No coffee after 9:30 a. M Dirty freezer in suite! Great view of downtown…
We were initially given a room that had someone staying in it, which could have been pretty awkward if they were in there. They also advertise for a Starbucks but it doesn't open until noon? The front desk people were very nice though. There is also a very cheap parking lot a half a block away ($10 for overnight) which was great so we didn't have to pay for valet. I think I would stay here again, but only for the location. We had to ask for more blankets and pillows despite having a reservation for 5 in two queen room, so there seems to maybe be an issue with communication.
Hotel is great proximity to Colorado Convention Center. It is within reasonable walking distance of most desired locations and a 3 mile brewery trail. I got lucky to get 21st floor mountain view. Great king bed, admittedly pillows were overly soft. Clean, spacious, good work space, Wi-Fi, printing, breakfast, odds/ends as needed. Hyatt really did this location right. Tip — don't try to hit breakfast at rush because the 4 days I was there they never had enough staff to keep up with influx of people. Hint hint, there are two breakfast locations to miss rushes. Will be back again if in town.
I don’t post often but this hotel was just awful. The good: one of the bartenders was nice. The bed in the room was comfortable. The bad: where to start? 1. Upon checking in, the lifeless front desk person checked me in and posted an erroneous $300 fee to my account. The manager had to be pulled in. 2. The same front desk person said she didn’t have a room available for me and took down my number to call me when it was ready. That call never happened. I finally went back to the hotel to question the $300 fee and that’s when I was told my room was ready. As I walked up to the elevators, I passed by the same front desk lady who was socializing with coworkers. 3. There were zero amenities in the room. No room service either. 4. I asked the front desk person about food and she said they didn’t have a restaurant but “24 hour food service. ” She didn’t define what that was and still to this moment I have no idea what the deal with food is there. I ended up eating at a hotel down the block for almost every meal. 5. When I called down about a late checkout, the front desk person was snappy, rude and hung up on me in the middle of me saying “thank you. ” 6. I was snapped at by a housekeeper who was cleaning the men’s bathroom when I walked in. Before I could say anything or leave she snapped “FINE JUST GO” and stormed out. Hyatt corporate — this hotel is an embarrassment to your brand. You clearly haven’t trained your staff properly.
Stayed for three days and two nights for Denver Comic Con 2018. Nice rooms with fantastic breakfast and all the standard accommodations. However, we found our car had been rifled through during the first night in the hotel parking garage, which was $42 per day per vehicle (they did waive this because of the incident) and valet only. Nothing was actually missing as we had luckily removed all valuables before the trip. We also had no housekeeping visit on our second day, despite taking the 'don't disturb' sign off the door at 8am. Overall a nice enough place to stay for the services they provide, but I won't be returning because of the security issue of the garage.
We spent a night in Denver before heading out to Breckenridge. Hyatt Place was the perfect spot for that. The hotel staff is friendly and very helpful. The rooms were clean and reasonably priced, and it is an excellent location to attend events downtown or shop.
This place is amazing. Great people, great atmosphere, and amazing views. My family and I stayed on the 22nd floor which is the top floor of this hotel. The staff of the hotel was absolutely awesome and helped us every bit we needed. The only complaint I have is not even on the hotel but is about the parking. But like anything downtown in Denver you're going to pay the park I had an excellent time and I will definitely stay again.
We stayed here 2 nights for a friends birthday. The Check in lady was nice, bartender manager was amazing! Clean rooms and beds were comfy! We has a nice window with a cool view! Lots of room. My only complaints, I wish there was a hot tub and breakfast could have been improved. We waited 20 minutes for eggs the first morning and breakfast wasn't that great the second morning had a better variety and was good! Would recommend and will visit again!
Great hotel with an amazing breakfast. The staff here were very helpful and gave great recommendations on things to do around town (and further away) The rooms are nice and modern and the bathrooms are nice. Highly recommended staying here.
We were unexpectedly poorly surprised about the parking fees associated with staying at this hotel. Overall experience was good outside of that. Close to shopping and easy to walk everywhere. Clean and well maintained hotel with a nice hot continental breakfast available each morning.
Decent location; not the safest area, but it's downtown, so what can you expect. It's two blocks to the 16th Street Mall, which is great. The service has been phenomenal, and the room is beautiful. My biggest complaint is that the website when we made our reservation failed to mention that there is no standard parking. The only option is a valet which costs $42 per night! Don't forget to include that in the cost of your stay here if you'll be driving.
The good: Everybody was very courteous. The rooms are very nice. The breakfast was delicious. The bad: This place is a banking nightmare. When we checked in they said that the only charge that would be on my card is the charge for incidentals (2 nights is $100). They said the room stay charges would be applied when I checked out and any room service charges (like valet) would be taken out of the incidental charges. As soon as I got to the room I noticed that they charged me for my two night stay plus incidentals, making the total amount charged to my card 591$. After the holidays, that 591$ authorization pretty much maxed out my card. Valet was $84. Meaning I should have gotten $16 back from incidentals, right? Wrong, we noticed when we had woken up after our first nights stay that they had charged the other card we had on file for making the reservation for essentially a third night stay plus another $50 incidentals. So now we have almost $300 on hold for the next 5 business days. Their excuse for charging that card 300 more dollars was because of the $84 valet charge. So, I went to do the online checkout and it said my balance was zero. I knew that was wrong because we owed for valet. So when we went down to the front desk to check out they told me I still owed them for valet even though they said it would come out of incidentals.
We have loved the rooms here at the Hyatt Place! Very spacious and clean. The biggest turn off for us was actually how the hotel bartender treated us. On separate occasions, we were addressed in a very rude manner. Once when trying to come down for a drink but he had closed early, and another for when we went to grab a menu for room service. If it weren’t for the treatment of this employee, I would probably rate this location with 4 or 5 Stars. Super disappointing that such a nice hotel had unprofessional staff. Probably wouldn’t choose this place again. Another update. The phone was broken in our room, so we had to use the speaker function to place a food order (they don’t do room service delivery apparently, so you have to pick it up down stairs). They called us to tell us our order was ready, but because of the phone, we missed three phone calls. Then once getting the food, the bowl of soup was the most ridiculous size for the price. It was almost laughable. These first world problems are probably enough to keep us from booking here again… luckily there are plenty of places to stay in Denver!
Spent much of the day there getting ready for a friend's wedding. The rooms have great natural lighting, which was a blessing to all us bridesmaids who had to do our own makeup. The bar area also had a nice atmosphere, as well as a great latte to warm up after the walk to and from the courthouse in the snow.
Great hotel, great staff, great breakfast, horrible parking situation! Lol gotta valet for 42 a night… You can come and go as u please so u just gotta suck it up as there's not a lot of options.
A decent hotel for longer stays of a high standard. Effectively run and well started in downtown just down the street from the Denver Pavilions shopping mall and convention center. Rooms have kitchen areas including combination oven, large fridge, sink, breakfast bar and the essential utensils, pots and pans. Process fluctuate wildly depending on demand… sometimes a real bargain, other times not. Overall, I rate it highly (when I can get a decent rate).
I really appreciated their preparedness for the amount of people at the convention I was at. The food was well made and the service was super helpful and nice. They seemed very familiar with large crowds and handled them well. Rooms were well cleaned and ready.
Great hotel. Perfect location near 16th Street Mall. Breakfast was good, especially the made to order omelette bar. The pool was clean and not crowded but it didn't have a hot tub. Staff was friendly and helped out with any problems we had. Great hotel.
If anyone is looking for a great deal on hotels you can check it out on HotelRaven. Com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around… Decent hotel without the pretention. It shares reception, breakfast, lifts, etc. With the Hyatt House so is really two hotel brands from Hyatt in the same building. Rooms are clean and functional (Hyatt House has kitchens, Hyatt Place has sofa areas instead). Gym is good for a hotel and there is a small pool. There's self-service laundry facilities too.
Room was nice and well furnished. Great view it my 14th floor room. Only issue I had was house keeping would try to clean my room at about 8:30am each morning and I wasn't heading out till 9:00am. This resulted in not having my room done each day. Otherwise great.

Good downtown location. Nice, spacious rooms. Great complimentary breakfast — an awesome way to start the day!

This is a great hotel, a little confusing with the mix of a Hyatt House, but having everything under one roof is nice as well. Breakfast is big enough to accommodate both hotels, something which is a bit of a rarity it seems for the Hyatt hotels in the Denver area. The rooms are clean, electronics are relatively modern and in good condition. Wi-Fi is fast and service is always friendly no matter time of the day it is. If I ever need to stay in Downtown Denver again, this is a top consideration.
It's modern mid century designs of their decor are very elegant. The front desk staff are extremely hospitable. And, their rooms were clean and up to date.
Great staff. Comfortable and clean room. Good spot in downtown. I highly recommend.
The rooms were clean and comfortable. I got a great deal on them through hotwire. The only problem as such was that the pool was small.
Good location to downtown Denver. Guest rooms are well appointed. Service is very good. They are helpful and attentive.
I recently spent 10 days in Colorado, staying at a different hotel for all but 3 days, and by far, this was my favorite. The rooms are absolutely beautiful, clean, with great views of the city, centrally located as well. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the cafe makes a mean cappuccino. My only minor gripe is that the hotel itself doesn't offer parking, but that's part for the course for downtown Denver. If I have to stay in downtown again, I'll be staying here.
The location is fine, but there is absolutely no free parking if you are staying at the hotel. The rooms are nice and well furnished and the service was very helpful and nice.
We checked in on the 27th, later in the evening after a long drive with 4 kids. We finally received our key cards after a long wait, then went up to the room. When we entered the room it was warm, like the a/c was off. I turned the a/c down, and it was not cooling. We pulled out the sofa bed and found wine bottles, and food trash. Then we found beer bottles and caps, and more food trash around the bottoms of the other two beds. The bedding on both of the beds were covered in hairs under the blankets. And still the a/c never got colder. I called the desk and told them the issues, and they said they would see what they could do. All this was at about 7p. M. We waited till almost 10p. M. And could not wait anymore, we stripped the beds and went to sleep like that, all 6 of us. I woke up in the middle of the night sweating, because it was so hot. We got up early and left. All this after I paid $240 for a 1 night stay!
Very convenient for the conference center. Great breakfast. Clean and Quiet. What more could you want?
The rooms here are great, and spacious, and even the setup in the bathroom was classy and sharp. The pool was okay, and I was saddened by the lack of a hot tub. However, the breakfast spread was fabulous enough that I can almost forgive not having a hot tub. Overall, a wonderful stay. Super friendly staff!
Clean, beautifully decorated, and such friendly staff. My room is awesome. The free breakfast is a real breakfast with fresh eggs, fruit, bacon, and fresh breads. Something different every morning. I highly recommend staying. You will also be near shopping and tons of restaurants. Even a movie theater!
Great hotel! Beautifully designed and our room was great! And the view of the city and the Rockies, just WOW! The location was fantastic, too — we were only a block or two away from the Pavillion and 16th St. Mall which has endless restaurants and shopping. Very easy to walk around the city! I only give it 4 stars because our room had a mini fridge but no microwave. Other than that, I highly recommend this hotel, especially for the price!
The room was clean and free from cleaning scents. The staff was professional and courteous. The goddess who checked me in hado absolutely fabulous hair. Just 2 blocks from the mall… and they allowed me to check my bag during the March for Science. Rock on!
Very nice staff. We will be staying with our kids there and I stopped in to ask if we could have a high up room for the kids. Rachel at the front desk set us up on a high floor and treated me well.
The location is great being directly next to the convention center and only 3 blocks to the 16th Street Mall. Our room was a corner view on the 22nd (highest) floor. Fantastic view of the city and a bonus view of the mountains too, worth the premium rate for a special occasion. Complimentary breakfast each morning with hot food, coffee/tea; so convenient and pretty tasty. We'd definitely recommend the Hyatt Place to family and friends. Parking is valet only with a somewhat steep nightly charge. One could easily take public transit and then walk to the hotel if you don't want to pay for parking. Front desk, breakfast and bar area staff, valet and cleaning personnel all provided high quality service. Thanks for a great weekend and we'll be back!
Had drinks at the bar, and visited my buddy's hotel room. Drinks were made well, and bartender was very efficient in getting our tab closed out. Very cool rooms — spaces were unique.
Great place to stay in Denver. Stayed for 5 days, 4 nights. Room was clean and well-appointed. Bed was comfortable and there was a sectional sofa to lounge on as well. Best of all was the view of the mountains from the room! One of the only places to stay downtown that had such a view. Some of my colleagues stayed at other "nice" places that had views of parking garages and other buildings! Staff was also courteous and helpful.
It does not have parking, it is unviable if you have a car as you have to pay minimum 26 dollars to park your car nearby.
Stayed for one night. Very clean, great breakfast, amazing staff! Didn't get much contact with all the staff, but what we did see they were awesome and helpful! I would recommend this to anyone! We stayed on the 21st floor, the view was awesome! And the pillows were way to comfortable!
When you think of a Sheraton you think of a 4 star hotel. I was very underwhelmed staying here. It was nice and the staff were friendly and helpful but I definitely wouldn't consider it a 4 star hotel. The rooms were very small and cramped and everything seemed out dated. Every thing about it was blah nothing to make it stand out among other hotels. No refrigerator in the room to keep our food we had brought back from dinner. I parked my car across the street to save half of what they charged to park your car with them. Decent hotel but wouldn't stay there again if I had my choice of hotels.
Very nice, large rooms! Location very close to the Art museum, which was the purpose of my trip. Just make sure you grab parking across the street, because it is less than half the price of the attached garage and only a couple seconds' walk. Would stay again.
Great location, right on the 16th Street Mall. Easy access to a lot of great restaurants and shopping places. Within walking distance of the Colorado Convention Center. Rooms appear to be a bit dated but clean. Top floors in the tower building offer great views of the Rockies in the distance.
My wife and I stayed here for my birthday weekend adventures in Denver. The staff was super friendly and even gave us a room upgrade because it was my birthday. The room and the rest of the facilities were very clean and elegant. It's also a great location, right in the center of town and next to the popular 16th Street Mall. I highly recommend this hotel!
I stayed here as an attendee for a conference that was held downstairs. I arrived via Supershuttle from the airport, and was a few hours early, so I was unsure if I would be able to check in. Fortunately, I spoke with an extremely helpful and polite staff member who was able to check me in without any trouble to a very nice room (thank you Autumn! ) My room had a beautiful view of the city, and was very clean and comfortable. The actual maintenance of the building seemed a bit lacking though, as almost all of the hardware in the bathroom were hanging on by a thread (the faucet was loose, the handrail in the tub was loose, etc…) It also appears that the elevators were under construction or in need as such; one was out of order, and the one that I ended up using primarily did not show the floor number and seemed to stop on quite a few empty floors. The facilities for the conference were quite nice, and there were no complaints about that area of my stay. Overall, I enjoyed my stay, particularly due to the welcoming and friendly attitude of staff. All of the employees that I interacted with were very helpful, and that really makes the experience.
Decent quality rooms, decent quality food, didn't interact with staff very often. Wake up call at 4:30 sharp was as requested. Overall good stay.
Rooftop Pool! Pros: A very clean well maintained hotel that seems great for conferences. The rooftop pool is spectacular, as are the views from higher floors. Comfortable bedding with a polite staff. If you refuse housekeeping they give you $5 credit to their coffee shop. Cons: They DO NOT have a game room, its an empty room full of locked fridges with no games and one table. Breakfast is not only not free but costs like $20 Its a bit of a hassle to get around with key card activated everything.
Pros: Location. Central location. Room: Room was comfortable. Wi-Fi worked well. Work Desk was well designed with charging ports close by. Bathroom: Shower worked as expected. Bed: Bed was comfortable. Cons: None faced during my trip.
In my opinion this was not a 4-star hotel. The outdoor pool was so cold that my kids only spent 15 minutes in it and came out shivering. The shower in the room is just a standard tub / shower And had non color matching caulk all around the bottom of it. The staff entered the elevator twice before me and one of them was talking on a cell phone. I would expect them to hold the door and provide customer service at all times. The parking rate is ridiculous at $37 a night. I found another parking lot within a block that charged $17 for 24 hours.
I enjoyed staying there. The hotel is huge so there was enough space for the event I was attending. The staff was friendly and responded quickly for room calls. It is centrally located so it was easy to find places to eat.
The softest towels and pillows I've seen in a hotel. The bed could have been a little more firm but nice room. The staff is excellent and very helpful. The convenience of the outdoor mall right out the door and convention center 10 minutes away on foot is great.
