Fabulous! It was just like being at home. It was so comfortable. I slept so well in the beds. It was a cozy cabin with brand new fit and finish. The location was convenient to town. Yet away from the hustle and bustle. The large flat screen TV was great and the endless hot water made the showers glorious. There were so many things to do int he area we just couldn't get to everything during our trip. I look forward to a return visit in the future.

We only stayed for one night but it was wonderful the owners were very outgoing and personal. The cabins were awesome and very comfortable. We've decided to make this our get away spot.

I was impressed with this place. It was well maintained and clean. It had all you would need for a weekend getaway or something a little longer. The owners were friendly and always willing to help you when you can. There were 4 deer outside my window each morning. I would recommend giving this a try vs the hotels in town.

If you love sweeping views of lush mountains from an expansive deck and falling asleep to the sound of water tumbling over rocks in a mountain stream, Wild Skies Cabin is a perfect destination for your getaway. The "cabin" is beautifully appointed with full kitchen, comfortable beds and a dining table that easily seats a dozen. I loved the wrought iron accents and pine walls and floors. The kids enjoyed playing in the fort and watching the antics of chipmunks. Nearby hiking trails provide access to the Flat Tops Wilderness where our party observed eye-popping wildflowers. Great getaway.

Friendly, simple and inexpensive just outside of town. Simple cabins on the outside; inside was new and clean with microwave and refrigerator.

Our Family had the wonderful experience of renting this beautiful home over Christmas — 2013. We were in AWE when we entered the home — the web photos do not do this property justice. This home is well built, from light fixtures to the fireplace grate, the quality is top knotch and immaculate. This little slice of paradise provided exquisite (untouched) powder conditions for the snowmobiles. The owners were personable and accomodating.

Our family of 5 arrived at Wild Skies in July, not to hunt, but to savor the beauty of the area and for a good old fashion vacation of rest and relaxation! We really enjoyed the accommodations, very spacious, plenty of room for each of us to have our own quiet place. The kitchen, dining room, and family room areas were so warm and welcoming when it was time to spend family time together. The views are breathtaking. We explored, took walks and thoroughly loved the feeling of being "away from everything! " Each day we explored something new, and took lovely photos of the surroundings. A wonderful experience, would definitely recommend for all.

Three generations comprised of six adults, one nineteen year old son in our Navy and two under six year olds stayed from December 24th to 27th. Four and a half hour trip between Grand Junction and parking lot. Snowing on the way in, thanks to Wildskies' snow cat moving our belongings in and out the 2.5 miles between the parking lot and cabin was very efficient, bright sunny for remaining three days, high powder didn't measure but without snow shoes sank to above the knees even on firm snow mobile tracks. Small animal tracks all over fresh snow. As days warmed up rushing creek water was very audible. Gotta have a creek to make mountain experiences come to life. With cabinets full of toys and games as well as bookcases full of books and magazines, one would think our hosts expected us to spend time indoors. Thanks for the Christmas tree with lighting. We even cooked steak on the outdoor grill. Four adult snow mobiles were always in use during day and night without having to go over the same trail twice, with one child snow mobile not exceeding 5 miles an hour often with the adults. Two adults snow shoed about three miles out and back while coming across three local residents. Saw five snow mobilers on the road to the parking lot on moving out day the 27th. There were eleven men with snow mobiles scheduled for the cabin after we left. Internet access and Dish TV were nice touches to check on outside conditions.

My family and I rented this cabin for a New Year's weekend celebration, and we loved it! There were six adults and three children, plenty of room to spread out, and we also had family who lived in the area come by. The cabin is HUGE, the pictures really don't do it justice, and very well appointed. Location was convenient to town and stores, yet still somewhat secluded. We would highly recommend this for anyone coming to the area.
