This place is very nice, quiet, cozy & the best customer service possible! It's not how it appears, it gas beautiful murals all around, beautiful flowers, plants, waterfalls. It also has a furnished outside seating area where you can sit comfortably, relax, & have your coffee or tea. We enjoyed our stay & are very much thankful for their hospitality! Definitely recommended!

It is very conveniently located on El Camino, near downtown and close to Stamford Hospital and clinics. It was clean and well kept and breakfast was nice too — but the coffee was great! They couldn't have been nicer. We would definitely stay here again.

Older family owned and run motel. Small room, but has all of the basics. Very clean. Extremely welcoming and hospitable staff. Unusual decor, but nice — — a pleasant break from the usual modern box hotel rooms. Several nearby restaurants. Does not pretend to be luxury hotel. Excellent for what it is.

This place was such a pleasant surprise! Especially so because of the manager on duty while there. He gave GREAT customer service — went out of his way to make sure our stay was as comfortable as possible. The rooms are a little dated, but very comfortable. The pool area is just beautiful, with all the flowers growing around the fence that gives some privacy and looks stunning. Breakfast was typical continental, but they had a wide variety of danishes, teas, coffees and juices. Very worth the $$ here! Will definitely stay here again!

Comfortable king size bed. Good sized room. Only a few minor issues. The carpet was dirty and could use a deep clean and the toliet was to low to the ground. I'm disabled and it was hard to get up from it. It also needed a pull bar on the wall next to it.

Room was nice. Bed was very comfy. Cont. Breakfast was decent. Overall experience was good. Staff was very polite.

Wonderful, warm and friendly staff. Rooms are more than adequate but not trendy. Comfortable and a crew that keeps the rooms clean and tidy. Family owned and managed with a good dose of kindness and caring. Conveniently located to restaurants and within walking distance to California Avenues and other destnations. Parking near rooms. A real value in a pricey neighborhood.

Exceptional customer service! Staff went above and beyond to make me, my 2 year old and 9 month old comfortable while my daughter was admitted into Standford Children's Hospital. Very cozy little Inn with beautifully painted outdoor murals and small detailed paintings throughout the interior of room. Small fridge, table and chairs, TV, Wi-Fi and easy access to stores, restaurants and other entertainment. Very kid friendly. Outdoor seasonal​ pool and great little breakfast nook in the front of office to eat. Continental breakfast and coffee included. I highly recommend this Inn to everyone I know.

Hotels in Palo Alto are insanely expensive, and so when you find one that is reasonably priced, you remember it. I have stayed here twice, and both times, my rooms were clean. The decor is quite dated, but the rooms I had were large and spacious. When I travel, I am generally only in my hotel room to sleep and nothing else, so this hotel was certainly adequate. It was convenient to Stanford and the shops and restaurants on California Avenue.

Rooms were clean and well maintained. The small kitchenettes were great for myself and my mother to use after a long drive. The decor was not dated in my opinion and added a bit of brightness. Would come back to this place if we ended up in the area again.

Friendly staff and clean room. Wifi is flaky. So reducing a star. Even my friend who stayed here had issues with Wi-Fi.

Neil was the person who greeted us, very friendly and really seemed to love his job. The room was clean and comfortable. I would stay here again if I needed to.

The Stanford Motor Inn is an older hotel conveniently located to Stanford University and shopping. It's also easy to get to Interstate 280 and go wherever you need to go. While older, the room was clean and the bathroom bright and clean. The bed was firm and comfortable and had loads of pillows. Wifi was free and generally fast. Many of these hotels don't have swimming pools, but this one did and it was large enough to swim laps in. Maid service was good. Best of all was the management. The owner is a former engineer and an extremely good host. If you have a special problem, he's ready to help you. I'm looking forward to returning here.

Dirty and old place. Affordable, but more expensive than it's worth it.

Good location, but the room smelled really bad. The tiny (2) juice boxes and vending machine pastries are what they advertise as a continental breakfast in a tiny fridge that was not plugged in. Staff was indeed very nice and the location was convenient. I've been in worse, but I've certainly been in better. So smell, warm "cont breakfast", sweltering hot bathroom, broken AC, no coffee or coffee maker are certainly the bad points. Not bad if there is nothing else available close by, but if you have another option, check it out.

Stanford Motor Inn was such a great place to stay! It is a quaint lodging area, with homey ornaments and fun decorations. Our room was warm and welcoming, and we found the pool to be a great place to hang out during the day! The thing that made this Inn for us though was the staff. My daughter was coming late to the hotel while I was out, and the front desk was VERY nice helping her find the room and accommodating to her arrival at the Inn. They were always smiling, and truly helpful. On top of that, my daughter forgot a small trinket in the room, and after calling the Inn they generously spent some time searching for the necklace, unfortunately without any luck. However, two weeks later I received a letter in which Stanford Motor Inn had mailed back her necklace after finding it later! She was rather stunned they had gone through the effort to mail it across the country and was very thankful A great place to stay, highly recommended.
