They say, in life, you get what you pay for. In this case, I think it's fair to say they deliver admirably on keeping up their end of that arrangement, are dedicated to doing it, and are giving people a great deal here. Things can be a little noisy during the day, but it's surprisingly and amazingly quiet at night — which I would probably appreciate more if I weren't nocturnal. The neighborhood does require you pay a bit more attention at night than some other places in the city, but practicing basic common sense avoids this being an issue. The location right above BART is super convenient! There's a Walgreens on the far corner, a small but awesome grocery store across the street, and if I tried to name all the good places to eat within a couple blocks, you probably wouldn't be willing to read it all — so I'll summarize: there are tons! Also: Particularly useful for people who haven't been to San Francisco before, they'll take the time to give you some very good advice and practical tips if you ask, which is another nice touch and will help ensure your trip is eventful only in the ways you want it to be!

I am sitting in room 623 as I type this. This is my 3rd and final night in the city and at the Pod. I'll keep this simple — loved it here. Loved everything about it. The location is prime — good neighborhood. Restaurants next door. Grocery around the corner. This is my new hotel for when I stay in the city hands down. It should be noted these rooms are small. Like a small dorm. 8x12 or so. But its "cozy" if that makes sense.
