HORRIBLE PLACE — The guy at the register doesn’t know how to use his card reader! — Doesn’t understand English. — No parking lot. — Parking around isn’t safe because of homeless people peeing on cars and can break in. do not go here at any cost.

Sketchy area. Loud. My car was broken into after the shattered the window and the hotel staff wouldn't even call the police so we could report the crime.

The cleanest of the "cheap motels" in the city that I've come across, not at all shady or skeevy, no "cracky" vibes whatsoever… but not being in the Tenderloin is probably a big contributing factor.

I like it and keep up the good work.

I just called them, someone answered like they were not a business and just said " yeah. " I thought I called the wrong number and asked if they were the hotel and they just said, yes. Noting else, not a how can I help you or what can I do for you. I then sort of laughed and asked what their parking situation was like and they hung up on me. Needless to say im sure they are not the best hotel. I wouldn't stay there if it was free.

So much because they are very kin and good services.

Monday 2.19.18 4pm KAILASH HOTEL 179 Julian Ave, Cross St 16th St. Mission District San Francisco Ca. Its very cold even for San Francisco today so the "Hotel" is going to fill up quickly with lots of peolpe that typically live in tents and vans and of course the Kailash "Hotel" like any other SINGLE ROOM OCCUPANCY (SRO) is of course taking their money because 400/wk is most definately easy money. Especially money from probation or corrections to provide a room. One or two on the contract and the other 5 sneak in to get warm. In goes the drama in the small room right next to you … Mr & Mrs Tourist. The drinking which of course leads to the yelling and screaming and throwing things that of course has to hit your wall because the rooms are too small to not reach a wall with a bike wrench or crack pipe. Maybe there are crack heads living there? If having cops there weekly to enforce an eviction is any indication the answer may be yes. Bed bugs you ask? Now how do you really ever get a milliom bugs out of an SRO? Just sleep in a space suit and you''ll be fine. The problem for real tourists is this place lies to you and your stuck with the place even if its just for one night until you find a safer cleaner real hotel with an actial bathroom and shower in your own room. You wont get that here. Sorry if you brought the kids. The police raided the place once so expect plain clothes police knocking on your door. Its an honest mistake. I just hope they dont break your door down.

Rats around the block. No parking space. Loud heating system. Shared toilet and shower.

It's very quite "we all like quite' Don't we!? As well as safe.

Staff are staggeringly incompetent and unhelpful. Can't understand simple questions in English and super rude to boot. Room and facilities were reasonably clean but the mental anguish of dealing with the staff alone would make this no stars if that were possible.

The only good part is that its is cheap in the area and it is clean. Just a little distance from the city. Does have restaurants close. You share the bathroom and shower with everybody else on the floor. No quick service in existence. No good views.

This is primarily a residential hotel, though they do have a reasonable daily rate. The shared bathrooms and showers are exceptionally clean and well appointed. Definitely not a luxury hotel but for travelers on a budget, this is likely the best deal you'll find.

Shower and toilet on the floor, uncomfortable to watch TV, because hanging on the side of the wall, there is no parking. There's a big chance of robbery. An area where many homeless dwell. Be extremely careful!

It's cozy, but you definitely get what you pay for. The room is sparse with just a bed and sink. There isn't a bathroom or shower in the room itself, and the entire floor shares a communal shower/bathroom unit. However, it's clean and it's located in the city! Read reviews before coming and just be prepared.

This is not a hotel but a hostel. In the description it is stated read shower bath but it n is not not mentioned that they are common to the entire floor.
Only positive, the proximity to the metro level.

Worst hotel ever! We booked for 4 nights. When we were expecting a decent room with 2 queen bed like a super 8 or something. It was merely a 4 wall dormitory room with 2 queen beds pushed together. Shower and bathrooms were in the hallways. We stayed one night and barely had any sleep because of the noise outside. People yelling, cars honking, and later glass clashing all night long. We cancelled the rest of the stay and booked a Holiday Inn at union Square instead. Kailash said they will refund me the remaining 3 nights. Its been 2 months. I called them and they keep saying they will refund. I email them and no response. Worst service, worst hotel. They should be put out of business.

Its a very bad place, I see add in craigslist and there was one price on that site but when I get there they change the price to hightest price they can. They don't care you book or not book the place, they just care about their benefits,. If you come with your stuff, they use it to you pay more money because its very hard to go another hotel on that time,. Don't truth them. Also its avery dangers area in san fransisco too.

Very nice place. Clean and brand new rooms. The front desk staff is very friendly. Would love to stay here again and would recommend to anyone looking for a good stay with a budget. One of the best places to stay in the mission. Been to many hotels but would recommend this place since I had a wonderful experience.

"KAILASH HOTEL" new name excellent hotel the only thing I have against this hotel is they robbed me I was paying weekly cash of $400 weekly then I made a partial payment for a week of $120 with the remainder to be paid on my paydate events happened we were asked to leave we left but we are still owed $120 for the partial payment but everytime I go to inquire about the amount the hotel admits they owe it to me but say they dont have authority to give refund until manager comes back and everyday they say call back at this time we do and we get told to call back another time, what to do police says its a civil matter in small claims court why do I need to do all that when they admitted they owe that to me.

The worst hotel I ever been to! I spend close to $400 for five nights and the service was horrible. They have a maid that steals your personal items I had five items taken from me when I stayed and if you come to the hotel anytime later than 11:00 pm they take their time opening the door. Please save your time and money!

Didn't like it at all. This was a very bad experience for me and my family. This place shouldn't be open to the public. They didn't even want to give me back my deposit when I was checking out… I wouldn't never go back again to that horrible place.

As another user already stated. This location should not be open to the public. I was in a jam to book a room last minute, the pictures they advertised and the room I actually stayed in were completely different. The kind of hotel room you would think would only exist in some third world countries gutter.

Unfortunately, only a locked Hostel probably for some time to has.
